To be part of the. Way to ensure. The on good evening West Midlands Ambulance Service has apologised after a woman spent an hour and 3 quarters lying on a pavement in Ludlow with a head injury she fell and hit her head shortly after 11 this morning but the ambulance didn't arrive until $10.00 to $1.00 the ambulance service said it was dealing with a very high demand and even more urgent cases elsewhere in the county Mari McGregor is the communications director for the service we absolutely admit it took for longer than we would want to and we would apologize to the lady for for the distress is undoubtedly caused her and thank all the people that helped or we did take a turn to heft county hospital for where she received more treatment Ludlow Lib Dems councillor Andy Boddington claims it's not an isolated case last Wednesday one of Doc's surgeries calls foregrounded somebody say so those are risk of death took 69 minutes to arrive when your living room. Was pretty normal getting an ambulance on time is simply not to reason May has been chairing a meeting of senior cabinet ministers to find a way ahead in the Briggs in negotiations they're expected to make a decision on raising the amount the u.k. Will pay to leave the European Union the conservative m.p. Said Bill cashews a prominent euro skeptic is urging both sides to reach agreement I think that both sides should set out by mutual consent their methodology so that people can form a judgment about it we just don't want to be in a position where we're being just intransigent and completely unreasonable but I do think that actually the you're opinion is in a war of attrition the E.U.'s chief negotiator Michel Barnier has said it is ready to offer Britain an ambitious free trade deal but the 2 sides had to reach agreement on what he called an orderly withdrawal and accounts had to be settled accurately Amsterdam has been chosen as the location for the European Medicines Agency when Britain leaves the bloc in 2019 it employs 900 people in London. A joint police and fire safety campaign is under where petrol stations in Shropshire and telephone and Wrekin messages have been put on petrol pumps at 4 busy locations reminding drivers about fire prevention and road safety the vivid adverts are reminding you to check smoke alarms and be visible when on the roads during the winter months roadworks umbrage not bypass the nearing completion structure Council said The main bulk of the work will be finished to morrow after tomorrow some minor works will continue until Friday when all works should then be finished shows Britain will be without their captain Abu a go go for tomorrow's trip to Barry and the next 2 games shows we have decided not to appeal against his sending off at rather And at the weekend and subsequent suspension even though they still think that the referee's decision was a harsh one. Now on to the weather and a much milder than of late with some rain around and lows of 10 Celsius 54 Heinz another mainly cloudy day tomorrow but it should be dry for the vast majority of it before the rain arrives in the evening b.b.c. Radio show sport it's 3 minutes past 7. It's me who surprised you snuck up behind you and gave us a virtual pin. How was the weekend for you you know I'm going to. Feel like I've never been away I have my face in a mask stripping. The fireplace with Cynthia strong. I know you are thinking listen we're on a mission to mission to find this as much facial hair as we can to help train the dogs. We also need come back good to face down the tortoise and we celebrate a certain wedding of today 70 years of the same. I'm thinking Guinness World Book of Records Guinness Book of World Records that's the one to be a good album as you present moment anyway the lads it is what is on the show well in this 1st hour that is it for the 1st time and then has plenty more where this is for all. You love affair and everlasting life now look just remind me the next time I decide to bomb self a pretty maid dish for the night and I've plumped for spaghetti with tomatoes and basil because of doing a meat free Mondays are porridge for breakfast beans on toast for lunch and that from a dinner but I've just decided any time I do spaghetti is a bit it's dinner Roulette basically and I'm going to need a poncho next time because I've just looked at my little pink jumper and I've got to use bloggers of tomato sauce you think a target this big I wouldn't miss but it's kind of a whip to rattle off a big I'm awash with it it's really annoying because I wanted to wear this jumper again this without washing it feel really feel for a little vest underneath so it's not like it's touching my flesh much anyway tonight on the show we've got some raucous pets so we've got a tortoise that's quite angry and refuses to go into hibernation but we've all we've also got research done for guide dogs and they're not partial to facial hair in fact is the one thing that kind of freaks them out basically So there's a play I'm going to talk to Chris Muldoon about this he's a research manager for guide dogs and they've come up with a sort of remedy and of which you and I could probably help out actually but it does beg the question what a pet hates you know what does your pet hate. The cat is always a bit feared of me when I go into the cattle house for breakfast and dinner while d.s. Is doing dinner because I'm here but she sort of jumps a bit because she's gone blind it's a bit sad so it's voice recognition for her so that's a little bit scary but the dog I'm just struggling to find it to to think of what the dog is scared off she doesn't like it when you sort of rudely that she knows she's in trouble when roo be the. Only voice but if you have something in your house pet was it's a fear that I'd love to hear from use and I over 34531858 when you call when you text one triple 3 star you Mrs Jodi and on the e-mail it's Georgy at b.b.c. Doc u.k. You know we're one of those weekends and you think we're all good intentions this is what I stand set out to do got a heat gun and tried stripping the far place it's a furnace around because we got the decorator and I had to do it otherwise I'd mess up his decorating Well I've resorted to some very powerful paint stripper and it's a job I wish I'd never started yet the jobs you wish you'd never started with all good intentions and then oh boy did I get bored after about an hour oh scraping just lashing it on there must be about 6 or 7 layers of paint Oh just 9. So that was my weekend less than Sunday and a little bit of Monday morning as well just to keep me entertained Anyway I'm getting contracts not tell me what you've done that weekend 34531850 also your pet hates what is your pet 8. Didn't bring a man. Like. Me and it's been. In this big. Bang. Oh. Good. Job. One triple 3 star you message Jordy Yes it's a fire surround you cheeky thing this is from Stu It is called the show and he says the east have a beagle that was afraid of the sound of their log burning stove seriously yeah pet hates Tell me about your pets hates Yeah the Hates of your pets one triple 3 Start your message with the word Georgie when you text me tonight when you call 034531850 I love an email it's Georgie bbc. U. K. We all know that guide dogs did incredible job and they have to learn to cope with all sorts of situations but apparently there is that one thing that upsets them and it can throw them its beardy men yeah the Guide Dogs u.k. Has done some research into the best early experiences of their puppies and they're now appealing for fake mustaches and be is joining me now as their research manager Chris Mulder an even Chris could really enjoy this I'm very well thank you this sounds like a joke doesn't it but it is a it's a serious thing you have done the research on this and they don't like facial hair do they. To be fair to say they don't like facial hair is probably assuming that they had the cheek poser to say show here in the 1st place what we're doing is we're giving them the opportunity to learn about the Disagree shapes and sizes of people including facial hair so we're not excluding facial hair from the lies we're saying that has to be part of their lives and that's what the research is find the more you socialize the better the puppy comes out so how did you find out about the therapy it did you. Put them up against people with facial hair and then. Well to be fair with when the puppies are born a reading centers and around the country we don't have a lot of exposure to facial hair that's going to be a long. But 71 percent of our staff are female and don't have facial hair and some of our males don't have facial hair. I have a face for radio but no facial hair when. We need to have exposure to facial hair so the puppy gets a no running the experience of the world listen including people with facial hair in the last 3 years of this race. Basically that man you just cuddling up some of the puppies. That's a byproduct of the research. But what the science of the research is very sorry that the more you expose puppies to a socialized world where we have they have to learn about the world they live and the better rounded they become and that's probably commonsense in some respects but the more you test that theory the better our dogs are and and that's the reason mother research was conducted to make sure that we're improving the world and the skills are adults. Right in saying that you are appealing for fake beard and moustache is how is that going great. So far it's had amazing response really are no public yet yeah some are gonna read so it's giving us help Africa Christmas. So now we have we have the pill for some sick mustaches and some weird but also things like sunglasses as well anything that changes our presentation as people will give the puppy an opportunity to learn that people can become indifferent representations and that's the whole key to the for the streets. You've mentioned the man in the red. I am slightly concerned because Kim the 24th of December and you got. Maybe a dog guarding the Christmas tree he might be a little bit by that man coming down the chimney Well this is the benefit of the research to extend beyond just the die dog world into general puppy world so if you have a new puppy exposing that puppy to to all sorts of experiences such as men in red shirts or hear the people who. Has only got to be a benefit for the puppy and preaching at everything in the world is not something to be afraid of or to be anxious about but most experiences can be positive the more socializing they live you know the better for dogs. Absolutely you know the the better rounded the puppy years of the better rounded the dog is the more able it is to resolve fears that aren't are to so and the more able. To tackle for example our work with people with sight loss the more that the relationship is built on the dogs confidence and building its abilities to work for so that environment has to work and so yes socialization is a key element to everything now if anybody hearing this and they want to get in contact they want to supply you should they just go to their local guide dog I mean how does it work for them to to offer up a day in the tash come by. I think the starting point would be to have a look on our website because all of our offices are listed on our website but there is a focal point head office where we are receiving said beards and mustaches. For Christmas is going to be very good fun run your place I can see this I keep saying that the. Christmas celebrations are your idols may be hearing. And it's a cardboard box it's just a little floppy windows and the little door so when he's having a bit of a head fake that. Dog u.k. Yes your pets pet hates please what is it that they don't like we've got a tortoise in Cumbria has actually turned the tables. And there will almost by some release terrorizing isn't news to me is 12 years old listen Penrice and he has been harassing John French and his family for the past year and I'm very pleased to say John has managed to escape the tortoise and he's on the line to me Joan Hi George I am here now tell me when did you 1st notice that to me had a bit of a nicety problem. It was just really the start of this summer I mean we've had them for 2 years and you're in the 1st year we would have to go and look for him in the God then He would hide away so I kept themselves to themselves but this summer I mean. It just really come over funny. I like it should be open the garden gate there's also from the bush is a nice surprise there fast they can move a really nice little Not your feet and chasing you back out of the garden now why we've had kids' parties in the garden of a little tea party is a little low voice on the friends and has been over there you know by and saying yeah it's their fee and like he had. Any toys left in the garden they had bought across the garden and I think he doesn't recognise in his space now the whole garden gets attacked. For Roche is coming here and he's 12 years old he's he's he's a teenager that's what it is he's going to think about it I don't reach that age. How could his how quickly you in terms of getting away from him. Well I mean last night we were brought in the house and I actually tried to hibernate and yeah it wasn't having any of that. With criminality and basically started charging in the side of the bar yet all the right things we stopped feeding them for a few weeks before and we turned the heat lamps off and is greenhouse He lives outside is normally got a greenhouse Yeah. We've had to bring him inside now because he's been in a bad mood because he doesn't want to be highly. I mean last night was watching a blue planet and we thought they were sleeping somewhere in the front room and he just he just wandered over her own little our toes. Do you know have you any idea is why he's like this I think it's because. Had a tornado. Just think that. Is working for a female Oh really and yeah and I think to anyone it comes in as territory it is a challenge to him normal as we have been going to females and I wouldn't put any in there because of a caliphate a kid well got heart and yeah he could be he could be horrendous couldn't it only so well hot and I would suggest Have you had any suggestions from from the vet or anybody as to what you can all it's been in the press quite a lot this week and I just been on the local news server lots of people. Off on his advice a lot of people have said Get Lucky mailbox I just couldn't do it honestly think he would kill to know I'm thinking of a world war one helmet maybe and just put it and see what he does with me headbutts it all starts kissing him he might be alright there's actually been a toys that appears to has been in contact you reckon cheeking Camarda sort of he can come to me down Oh right so what are you going to top this whisper Then he had been all of these because. Local radio in England and the Channel Islands love the messages coming my way which I'll share with you your pet pet hates what they like but time to cross to the b.b.c. Weather Center who could be waiting in. The weather Paul and Amanda saw her face yes I still have faith Oh you can leave now. All that rain. I'm waiting lists gone by the book but I need gloves. Cause it's getting colder I couldn't. Respond to. You I'm telling the only one child I do not. Know oh oh. The things I do for you I have never had an introduction light up with Oh it's nice to be on the show by the way it's lovely taking a while how come it's turns out all the time somebody had to go in at the Weather Center and I say Go Go on then surely you can if you brave enough yeah. So all you tonight what I mean a little bit full of cold but. I'm sort of you know. I've had lots of satsumas and blueberries lovelight is that Chris folks you know he's the one he's a carrier is exactly his for it I'm sick so I've been covering for him and nice and then to say thank you's give me is not so kind of him and so I cannot find that farm daddy why it's soldiering on yes absolutely and what is the weather how and still for us what you may well have noticed that we kind of lost sight kind of frosty Christmas that we had the weekend in the sunshine and we're back to this kind of mild cloudy gloom and it's the cow that we keep overnight is already giving some patchy bits and pieces of light rain and drizzle particularly through Sussex in the Midlands and up across the penguins now through much of the night it stays cloudy but aside from the bit of drizzle mainly dry however in the next few hours we'll see some more persistent rain moving into parts of Cumbria northwest England pushing its way across the pen lines up across Yorkshire and towards. Northumberland So that's where the heaviest of any rain will be overnight for the South as I said many cloudy but a bit of drizzle hair in there but everywhere mild and easily in double figures from I say 10 to 12 Celsius the nightlife. And then for tomorrow well again much the country's going to be cloudy mild increasingly breezy in fact actually by the end of the day tomorrow we could see some gales along southern coast so that's just something to keep an eye out for through the morning much of the country mainly draw apart from say the far north of England up towards the Scottish Borders and they could see some heavy rain for time and then later in the afternoon we see another spell of more persistent rain arriving into northwest England and eventually that will push its way slowly Southeast would say tonight 10 to weaken as it goes I think overall tomorrow is mainly cloudy a little bit of rain for some but still going to be reading for the time he just just let you know 16.6 Celsius in one which in Cheshire was not an issue be knowing this the disc is united as a hostess you know and I definitely pets we're talking about one of you go oh you got me there I don't but what I need is a really good rock catching catching cat because we got. A loft. Oh I'm going Oh yeah we got into fields and they just started building Yeah that's the right to come out and they managed to find the littlest littlest hole to get into it off because I woke up on Sunday nights to my husband called burglars I don't know if there's a rock. Yet. But we've got to and they weren't there last night oh good morning I have an isolated x. No good you sent to me I liked it yeah I think I did well Claire Yeah the gays want to send mail there you know a lot about yeah definitely or not obviously. Anyway you've been a joy I mean I'm so glad you finally made it into the show thank you it's nice to be I'll see you out with this and then I saw have say. Oh you know kids to leave now I'm. Not a stranger to the rain in the sky I. Know what it's getting colder I'm feeling bold I'm going to cry now for love and really to thank so much. To is our fault because we've taken her away and we'd really hurts me so there's the in matlab God It is a. Big good. Mind to A bow and take a care of my baby do you know some people have been taking good care of each other for the last 70 years yes Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten Martin Westminster Abbey. I. Didn't. Make the list. And you. Never let him out of peels out. The procession of the bride and bridegroom moves now down to 2000 guests who are standing here bowing as the procession passes towards the great west door about one moment ago one minute after the doors are open I don't step. One heart of the bride with me to the brighter side to the picture of the day that we should. I. Know that wedding was the start of a formidable union that is ensures to reach a platinum anniversary Rob in good spirit has attempted to uncover a few secrets of their partnership with her new book The Queen and Prince Philip my husband and I'm very pleased to say the English with us tonight evening greats that evening so they live with constant scrutiny and yet they are also very private How on earth did you get to start researching this book well I have been editor of Majesty Magazine for over 30 years so I've been sort of embedded in royal memorabilia if you like. Royal stuff and I've met say many people who know the role family who worked for the royal family and you just absorb it like an amoeba just absorb all the information and then you store it up in one day you can use it that's not sorry it's really it's really interesting I mean it's it's like anything that you know you become a vague expert and it becomes very interesting and how difficult is it to write to Doesn't sound like it's very difficult to toll because as you say you sort of stuck to the well how difficult it is to write almost or to absorb to write. Well writing is difficult and lately for everybody and I just think writing it whatever the subject is it it's quite hard on you you want to give a measured view and you want to give a feeling of the character and you want to say things that maybe you can't say so you've got to talk around them I mean it's it's all an art like everything else those are the things that we have to talk around because over the years there have been rumors of the says is that the sort of thing that you've had to walk around well no I didn't really I just I just I just sort of said that you know there have been rumors of affairs and everybody brings that up because Prince Philip was so handsome and so much you know and it was different times. You know that there are let the alleged affairs may well have happened but nobody has gone on record I don't think anybody wants to because it would be disrespectful and hurtful to both the queen and Prince Philip although I do think that the Crown are going to go very strong on the affair but no one has any proof no one's actually come out and said I had an affair with principle and they weren't It just won't happen when the crown it's the television program the series that we've all been watching and been responsiveness Yes that's right yes I mean I'm 40 they sort of things you know almost become reality and in fact although it's not a documentary I mean people look at it and think that that is that is how it is and I think that sort of thing can be very helpful but this is not new for the royal family it's not new for the Queen or Prince Philip to have things written and said about them I mean that really used to that I know how how far do you perceive that 70 year relationship as a love match initially in the stage because you look at you look at footage of Elizabeth and she looks absolutely in love doesn't she was she really I think was in love if you can call it in Love your age 13 when she 1st no Prince Philip Yeah and I mean she knew. Before because they were related and they they met occasionally but she wrote a wonderful letter which was sold an option a few years ago. To a lady who was writing in those days you sort of wrote official souvenir guides to the wedding and she wrote to the princess and said you know could you tell me how you and Prince Philip met and she wrote this one and then Princess Elizabeth the wrote this wonderful letter saying that she could she they had met before but she couldn't really remember but the 1st time she remembers was at Dartmouth College and she was age 13 and there was this gorgeous blonde The donas aged 18 in a naval cadet couldn't be moved some and dashing. And then as as you know the Queen Mother said Lily but has never really looked at another man Oh well I was I mean one of the things that they used to do together it sounds very old fashioned but they loved seeing that Bobby v. Song reminded me of it they absolutely loved dancing and they were both fantastic Don't says and the queen will say love singing and she's got a beautiful singing voice too you know the life that they've had and her life has been a lifetime of do you see and she has absolutely done had she used to to the Crown how full I must of that in time to film their marriage because I supposed it may have been a bit of a spare part to stall is what I think in a way because they both had this mutual project if you like of of looking after them only Kate the queen had the reins of the monarchy thrust upon her Prince Philip was there to help her at her side so they they were like a couple that work together Richard and Judy if you like this is the modern equivalent and they worked together but they lived when they weren't working you know they had their own interests the queen had dogs and horses and Prince Philip had cricket and sciences and he also loved running the royal estates you know which he got to do later so they both had very differ. And interest. Prince Philip was always fascinated by cooking you had a very very good cook and. To this day he watches cooking programs on television. She says I don't feel it's what she wanted it's cracking from ground. 0 Mary has been extremely flattering about him wonderful and they might have a lunch and they discussed how to cook tonight you know soggy possums in sunlight. Thank you so much for a couple of insights into into their relationship some 2 years is a heck of a long time isn't it it certainly is and what do you buy a guy you know that has everything we've given on a given man on you can't even if you can't give him a pair of cufflinks give him an on I. Agree thanks so much for coming on the show it's a pleasure. The Queen and Prince Philip my husband and my husband and I. And everywhere write some tears together. I managed 10th of that I couldn't. Take the bully. Boy. The boy. The but. Yes. You. Yes. The but the out you want to own the out. The but you. But the phone. Booth who. Was. The for. The for. Me. But. What. The fuck.
