Crashes into the side of a house and bursts into flames. Welcome to bbc newsroom. The Foreign Secretary has become the latest member of the cabinet to put pressure on the chancellor to relax the Public Sector pay cap. The limit is due to be in place by 2020, that a Government Source says borisjohnson 2020, that a Government Source says Boris Johnson strongly 2020, that a Government Source says borisjohnson strongly believes pay writers can be achieved without putting undue pressure on public finances. How would this pay cap be paid for. I think what it tells us is the chances of being able to stick by the Public Sector pay cap for the next couple of years looks increasingly remote because we have now had up to six Cabinet Ministers weather themselves through their intermediate trees, saying that they need to look again at this i intermediate trees, saying that they need to look again at this 1 cap. Borisjohnson suggesting this can be done without what he calls fiscal pressure, without putting up taxes, exactly what michael gove says two. But i imagine will cause the chancellor some disquiet, not simply to have other Cabinet Ministers sketching out what they think you should do in the budget, pressing foran should do in the budget, pressing for an increase in public spending, but also suggesting he has no week to raise taxes were he to end the pay cut. This is when wed still have a deficit of £50 billion, Something Like a debt of 1. 7 trillion, so no wonder we heard from the former chancellor Norman Lamont this morning listing the government could not give up on deficit reduction. I do not think it is right to loosen up restraint on Public Expenditure. We use this phrase of austerity Public Expenditure has gone up and up. The total National Debt is now 86. 5 of gdp. Despite the fact that the annual deficit has been coming down, the accumulated debts remain high. We need to reduce that and we need to pay some of it back. If Interest Rates go up, if there is a slowdown in the economy, if there is a financial crisis in the world, britain could be in a very awkward position. I know it is annoying, but this is still the aftermath of a crisis that happened ten years ago. But it was an unprecedented crisis, and the shadow of it is still with us. Given those scales of debt and the continuing deficits, can the government really afford to ease off on the pay cap . Im joined by this Conservative Mp. Can you relax the pay cap . I think the important thing is to look at the different pay bodies will say in terms of where we are today, yes, clearly lots of Public Sector workers have not seen in real terms any increase since 2009, when we had the financial crisis and we came into office in 2010, tried to buy darts tighten our belts to get through this. It is important we listen to the experts, but also signal that in the autumn at budget time this will be a priority for us, because those people now, when inflation is running at a much higher rate than the 1 , are feeling the pinch. The banister needs to be listening and reacting accordingly. The chancellor of course will have options available. This is a beginner, need, dynamic, and is a strong economy, if you look at the last budget, the chancellor did say there will be contingencies for brexit, for example, so there are choices to be made. So you do not think it would have to be paid for by tax rises . would like to think that it does not have to be. I think it is important we remaina have to be. I think it is important we remain a party you can bear down on taxes. It is not always raising taxes that raises more money. If you look at the Corporation Tax rate, when we brought it down from 28 to 19 heading towards 17, it generated more income for the exchequer to pay for, more policing, Counterterrorism Budget that we delivered, nurses, doctors and so on, it showed we should be obsessed about politicians is not tax rate. Which we do not need a competition. But tax take, how can we make operations and people pay their fair share of tax because they feel that this government is on their side. You have been critical of the labour party for the so called magic money tree. Here we have the iss saying ending the cap could cost 6 billion. We know you lost to billy knew were hoping to gain from national insurance. There was 1 hoping to gain from national insurance. There was1 billion hoping to gain from national insurance. There was 1 billion the dup. These are billions and billions of pounds. Whereas they going to come from . You are quite right to ask that question, because the Public Sector, the people who deliver the Great Services we have in this country is currently about 179 billion of wages, each 1 is about1. 7 nine. 179 billion of wages, each 1 is about 1. 7 nine. What the chancellor will demonstrate is fiscal responsibility, because the debt market, because were boring this money. At the moment we are not running a surplus. We still have a deficit of about 50 billing, so we have to borrow more money to meet some of the expectations and the hardship those people are suffering. We have got to be responsible and the chancellor is best placed to deliver the message to the debt market to the whole of the country that he will act responsibly, but at the same time, key also addresses the same time, key also addresses the pain of those who are in most need. Is it not extraordinary that the chancellor is the man in charge of the budget and yet we see the ministers seemingly freelancing, volunteering their opinions, canvassing for an increase in Public Expenditure . I think the feminist and the whole government, when we we re and the whole government, when we were debating the queens speech on wednesday and thursday made it very clear to the house that we will look to the public pay bodies, to come back and feedback tool us. Your collea g u es back and feedback tool us. Your colleagues sometimes get upset because we have a Prime Minister who is listening, who wholes team is it engaged. We hear some ministers coming out, giving their opinion on Public Sector pay. Theresa may will not be signalling, Asjeremy Hunt did so in the queens speech debate last thursday, without actually consultation in cabinet. These things do notjust happen. Juno was the position is on pay at Downing Street . The most important thing is that the Prime Ministers listening and we are listening to the pay bodies. I think a good leader is someone bodies. I think a good leader is someone who listens and reacts. Some of your colleagues in the media will shout shock horror. I think good leadership is about listening and rectum. Im sure some of your viewers will agree with me that good leadership in need corporate or political world is you have to listen and then react. Inflation is running at a much higher rate than it was a year ago, two years ago. That makes a difference to the Public Sector. Thank you very much for your time. We will be hearing later this month from the teachers review body, and that will be the first report. Will be interesting to see their recommendations. Last year, a 1 recommendation. This time, will they breach it . Many think they will. For the first time in nearly a decade, more nurses and midwives are leaving the profession in the uk thanjoining it. The nursing and Midwifery Council says working conditions, workload and poor pay are among the reasons given by staff. Sara smith reports. For years, the numbers registering to work as nurses and midwives have been going in One Direction up. And, with increasing demands on our health service, that has been crucial. These latest figures showing more staff leaving than joining should, according to the Healthcare Union unison, Ring Alarm Bells with the government, and could signal a staffing crisis. Between last march and this, the numbers on the register dropped by more than 1700. Over the following two months, there was a more dramatic move, the number going down again by more than 3000. It is only a small proportion of the total number of nurses registered, but it is the significance of the downward trend which is causing concern. There is great demand for the right standards of care to be delivered across the uk. If the numbers continue to fall, then clearly some action needs to be taken to reverse that trend. In a survey of staff who had left, for those not retiring the biggest factors were working conditions and disillusionment with the quality of care provided to patients. Low pay was also mentioned. The highest proportion of leavers were british nurses. Of eu nurses surveyed, a third quoted brexit as a reason for going. In a statement, the Department Of Health said it has launched a National Programme to ensure nurses have the support they need to continue their vital work. With me now is Saffron Cordery from nhs providers. They are an Association Acts as a public voice for nhs. It is the beginning of a trend, rspca blip in the figures . I do not think we should say that this is a blip in the figures. I think what many of your viewers may be surprised about is trusts up and down the country are telling us that the workforce is as big an issue for them as the financial pressures. We are seeing this survey and figures from the. Theyre showing us what we already know. It is notjust nursing and midwifery, it is a cross the professions in the nhs that we are seeing the rates in number of staff that are continuing to work in the nhs. I knew already seeing an impact on the level of care that can be delivered as a result . on the level of care that can be delivered as a result . I think what we see is a real impact on the level of satisfaction in roles that nurses and midwives and others are gaining from their roles. They are experiencing real pressure day in and day out. If renters and selves, if if there are not enough staff, thatis if if there are not enough staff, that is a huge pressure for any member of staff, and i think we need to remember that when we see this level of pressure, the Winter Crisis we saw in a e earlier this year, a e departments only kept going because of the heroic efforts of staff. We cannot continue with this discretionary effort from nhs staff. We absolutely have to focus on how we can make working conditions more agreeable, how we can make a terms and conditions there so that nhs staff feel the Job Satisfaction that they need. Would any easing of the pay gap we have been discussing today, would that help . Absolutely. I think nhs providers, earlier this year we with the first to call for the end of the pay freeze of 1 for nhs staff. We know it is going to cost around £500 million the year. Were working with government to see how this might work, we have seen the evidence, but it is fundamental we see an end to the pay freeze of a. The Department Of Health says there is a National Programme to improve there is a National Programme to im prove staff there is a National Programme to improve staff retention. The government has also responded by saying there are now 13,000 more nurses in england than in 2010. However, in that time, has the ratio of staff to work load, had that become romantic, has the workload gone up for the staff at other . think they workload has gone up. We have got to remember that we are seeing absolutely year on year increases in demand for all services, whether they are outpatient, inpatient, in the community, ambulance, Mental Health trusts, everywhere. In particular services, we are seeing an attrition in the number of staff, it is not nursing and midwifery. Rendell health stuff in particular, we need to focus on specific areas. Demand is going through the roof and we need to find a way to tackle Demand Anomie can make jobs need to find a way to tackle Demand Anomie can makejobs more manageable. It is notjust an isolated focus on workforce we have to look at all the pressures that are facing the nhs. One final thought. The nursing and Midwifery Council says the trend for those leaving the profession is most pronounced among british nurses. Do you have any concern about what you might call a Brexit Effect could also have an impact on Staffing Numbers as well if non british nurses leave the profession . Absolutely. I think the two things in terms of the level of pressure, that we are likely to see in the workforce, the survey shows that many are leaving, but we know that brexit is having an impact. It might not be the only reason, but it is a reason and we have to do but all of these together. That is the important thing to remember. It is not talking about one issue. There isa not talking about one issue. There is a whole host of issues that we need to tackle is so we can actually get a safe workload and a safe workforce that can deliver the quality of care that the nhs needs. Thank you very much. Up to 18 people are feared dead after a tour bus crashed and burst into flames in Southern Germany. The bus collided with a lorry on a motorway close to the bavarian town of stammbach. Police say 31 people were injured, but 17 people are unaccounted for. There were 48 people on board this bus, 46 passengers, two drivers, as you say, a group of adult germans thought to have been on a tour from the state of saxony. 13 people are injured, some severely, and a further 18 are still unaccounted for. A Police Spokesman, whilst no one has been confirmed as dead yet, has said it is expected that a number of those missing people will have died, and when you look at the pictures from the scene, rescuers have sealed off the motorway in both directions, you can see how difficult it might have been for some of those people to get off the bus. At the moment, the reports are suggesting that police think that it is possible that the 18 people may be dead. There was a suggestion, a Police Spokesman said some of them managed to get off the bus and ran away from the scene in shock, but in the last few minutes, a spokesman from The Fire Brigade said that is unlikely because along the motorway, our fences, unlikely because along the motorway, ourfences, in place to unlikely because along the motorway, our fences, in place to stop deer and so on getting onto the motorway. Though it would be difficult for anybody to get off of the motorway at that point. Pretty grim news yeah im afraid. As i say, no one has confirmed fatalities yet, but police are telling us to expect them. A haul of firearms has been seized in france from a car heading to the uk. 79 viable weapons were recovered from the cars trailer when it was stopped by uk Border Force Officers at coquelles near the Channel Tunnel Terminal on saturday. With me is our Home Affairs Correspondent daniel sandford. Bring us up to date with the background of this operation . It a significant hole, possibly the biggest haul of weapons destined for the uk there has ever been. These guns were buried in the cavities inside Engine Blocks on a trailer that was being towed by a van. There we re that was being towed by a van. There were six people in the Van Including A15 were six people in the van including a 15 and 17 Year Old Girl, but it was the man in charge of the van that ended up being arrested and appearing in court in 0xbridge this morning. These are not full handguns, Nine Millimetre Handgun is used by the military. They are slightly awed handguns that Failover Lawsuit Flaubert bullets. But they could be filled. Not gleeful over a significant distance. They could be lees full. They could be lethal. Any idea where these weapons were destined for . Is still working on that, but they believe they were heading for the criminal market. They were being held without a licence and they think there was a focus on london, but they are going either way, they say probably destined for the criminal market in london are elsewhere in the uk. Thank you very much. The headlines for you now on bbc newsrooms lie. Boris johnson the headlines for you now on bbc newsrooms lie. The owner and chairman has said on social media in the past hour to expect announcement soon. The past hour to expect announcement soon. I will be back on more of those stories in the next ten minutes or so. The Energy Regulator, 0fgem, has announced proposals to limit gas and electricity bills for more people on low incomes. The regulator says it will be consulting on how best to protect the most vulnerable customers from high prices, and it hopes about two Million People could face lower bills as a result. Theyve also announced plans to make switching Energy Suppliers easier. Turning us now is a member of 0fgem. Cat is already in place for people using Prepayment Meters are now looking at whether some families could be protected. To establish, this is just could be protected. To establish, this Isjust A Consultation could be protected. To establish, this is just a consultation at this stage, there is no guarantee that any of these proposals are going to come into force, is there . Yes. We are going to be consulting on these measures because we are worried that some of the more formal Ball Consumers are the ones not switching and worried that in the next few yea rs and worried that in the next few years there will be increasing use of the internet, increasing complexity in the market that people may get left behind and we are concerned that the most honourable and society should be able to get a fair deal. Do you have enough power to push through any findings that you make from this consultation if you make from this consultation if you do want to go ahead with offering greater protection to a greater number of people . offering greater protection to a greater number of people . I believe we can do this, we believe it is the right thing to do and our expectation is Energy Companies will welcome this because it is aimed at making sure people and left behind, but at the same time we are announcing today measures to encourage people to shop around, find the best deal, save up to £250 of use which, so were encouraging people to switch and protecting the most vulnerable. An mp who was behind the Energy Price Cap proposal reacting to what you have been saying says that your proposals will not stop the rip off for many families. He said after your proposals, fewer than 3 Million People would be helped and many would see their Energy Bills Rise as Energy Companies milk the others. How Energy Companies milk the others. H ow rea cted Energy Companies milk the others. How reacted to that . What were doing is encouraging people to shop around. If you have not shopped around. If you have not shopped around for a few years, you can save up around for a few years, you can save up to £250 by shopping around. We have announced changes to Price Comparison website roles to enable them to help you find the best deal that you could switch to their run then very quickly. We are also trailing a couple of operations to see we can encourage people who have not shopped around for several years to engage and find a better deal. 0ne to engage and find a better deal. One of those is a letter from your provider telling you the best deals that your rivals provide. But away from encouraging people to switch, in terms of protecting people from rising bills, is there any evidence that you have seen that if you manage to protect more consumers, that the Energy Companies actually Increase Prices in other areas too wea k Increase Prices in other areas too weak or what they may have lost . do not think we have evidence either way on that. I think the important thing is now a really good time to shop around but those who are perhaps less able to switch, for whatever reason, they have honourable. We are looking at protections including possibly a price cap to make sure they do not lose out. Does parliament need to step in and legislate instead . That isa step in and legislate instead . That is a matter for parliament. These state m e nts is a matter for parliament. These statements are very fundamental ones which are writes for elected politicians to take. Thank you very much. A 16 Year Old Girl has pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to the manslaughter of seven year old katie ruff. You may remember that katie was found with serious injuries to her neck and upper body in a Playing Field in york. She died later in hospital. Now a 16 Year Old Girl, 15 at the time of this incident, has pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to the manslaughter of seven year old katie rough. A little more detail coming into me now. The girl appeared by video link at Leeds Crown Court where she appeared guilty to manslaughter through diminished responsibility. Butjust through to us. The french Power Company edf, which is building the controversial new Nuclear Power station at Hinkley Point in somerset, says the estimated costs of the project have risen by £ 1. 5 billion. Hinkley point c would be the uks first new Nuclear Plant for decades, but has been beset with budget problems. An edf review found the project could also be delayed by up to 15 months. However, the firm said it still hoped to finish the first phase by the end of 2025 as planned. A number of flights into Gatwick Airport were diverted last night after reports of a drone flying close to the runway. Easyjet said four of its flights had been affected, while British Airways said one plane had been sent to bournemouth. 0ther Flights had to circle the airport as a precaution. Sussex police are investigating. With me now is Steve Landells who is the British Airlines Pilot Association Flight Safety specialist. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us. This is a very serious incident, very concerning incident. Either someone who is frankly an idiot flying this so close to an airport, or someone who does not ca re airport, or someone who does not care about the possible impact. What are you going to do about it that you have not already done . There is quite a lot we can do. This is an incident that is very worrying for british pilots, but we are seeing more and more incidents of near misses with drones and manned aircraft and we are seeing more disruption from drones. We are in no way against address, they have huge Potential Recreationally and commercially, but their obstruction in the airspace commercially, but their obstruction in the air space has to be safe and sensible. I think the first thing we need to do is educate people. They need to do is educate people. They need to do is educate people. They need to realise that if you fly your drone in an irresponsible manner, you put lives at risk. Last night aircraft work diverted, is huge cost is huge inconvenience, but that joan, if it hit an aircraft, the lights can be put in danger. You can go to prison for five years for this, so we need to educate people that this is a bad thing to do. You say measures need to be put in place to identify and locate drone flyers in an irresponsible way, what are those measures . At the moment, anyone can go down the high street and buy a drone and can take it Out Of The Box and fly it. We do not think that is right. We think there has to be some form or process in place where when people buy a drone they cannot fly it until they have been exposed to the rules. We would like to see a compulsory registration scheme, so before you can registration scheme, so before you ca n fly registration scheme, so before you can fly your drone, you have to go online, you have to be exposed to the rules, it tested on those, and then you get an unlock code and then you can fly your drone. That is the first thing we need to do, get people exposed to the rules and that will hopefully stop people flying into trouble accidentally. As he mentioned before, there are a lot of people out there who do not care about the rules. There are professionals out there who fly perfectly safely and sensibly and we not worried about those. But there area large not worried about those. But there are a large amount of people flying irresponsibly. There are other measures we have to take, so we want to stop these things in the first place, so the technological solution to this, there is something that some drones have which has a database of some drones have which has a data base of places some drones have which has a database of places where the drone should not be flown such as airports. If it tries to fly into that area, it will not, it will just blind. Unfortunately that is not mandatory and not winds spread. Thank you very much for your time. A 16 Year Old Girl has now pleaded guilty to killing her. The nursing and Midwifery Council says working conditions, workload and poor pay are among the reasons given by staff. We can talk to jacqui smith, Chief Registrar of the nursing nursing and Midwifery Council. There are reasons for people leaving the profession. People saying one thing or another is forcing them out . Im not surely thats what you can conclude from our short research, what we did was e mail out to thousands of nurses and midwives who left in the last 12 months, and ask them to tell them why that was. About 4. 5 thousand responded and what came out as the issue that concerns the most was working condition. We can imagine what that means, but there are a complex series of reasons as to why someone would leave the profession. You are concerned that its not necessarily nurses and midwives who are approaching Retirement Age but younger members of staff who are choosing to leave as well . What kind of impact does that have or is going to have . If we see nurses and midwives leave the profession from a range of age groups, then that indicates that something is going on which is creating the satisfaction. Iam sure which is creating the satisfaction. I am sure that the government and others who creating dissatisfaction. Im sure that the government and other groups will wa nt to government and other groups will want to understand the reason for the data and have plans to respond. It is difficult to be precise, sure, wine nurses and midwives leave the profession. What is paramount as we share that information and look at ways at reversing the trend. The trend may continue this year but it is important to understand why. An earlier nhs guest said it was important to ensure staff have safe workloads. Have any of the people who have left the profession responding to your questionnaire said that they felt their workload was not safe and manageable . said that they felt their workload was not safe and manageable . I could not tell you that from the data that we have carried out. We had about 4. 5 thousand who responded. What came out top was working conditions. What is included in working conditions can be a whole host of reasons. So i dont think we can say conclusively why they have left. The Department Of Health talks about retention programmes, to try and encourage staff to stay, are those working . And what do you think they change and easing on the Public Sector pay cap have on retention in the profession . Clearly, retention is critical here. If we are investing time and money in Training Nurses and midwives to deliver high standards of care in the vast majority do that day in, day out. We wa nt to majority do that day in, day out. We want to retain our precious resource. In relation to pay, that is for others to answer for. We are the regulator who set the standards, protects the public. Pay is a matter for others. Thanks forjoining us. Jacqui smith, Chief Registrar of the nursing and Midwifery Council. Saudi arabia and three other arab states have extended the deadline for qatar to accept a list of demands or face further sanctions. Qatar assert these are deliberately designed to be rejected. They are humiliating. Saudi arabia, uae and others say there is zero trust, they put similar requests to qatar who agreed and then carried on supporting groups with those countries supported to be a threat to their existence. The girl appeared by video link at Leeds Crown Court, where she pleaded guilty to manslaughter by diminished responsibility. Katie died in Hospital Injanuary after being found seriously injured on a Playing Field in york. And we can now cross to our correspondent danny savage outside Leeds Crown Court. Tell us more about what happened inside. I am sure many people will recollect what happened to Katie Roughin recollect what happened to katie rough in january when they see her picture today. She was the seven Year Old Girl killed after being at school for the day on the outskirts of york by an older girl, a teenager. But teenager was quickly arrested after katie was killed, and she has appeared by video link at Leeds Crown Court today. The death of katie rough was certainly something that shocked people in york and horrified people around the country. Katie rough, and innocent, sweet, much loved schoolgirl, killed in an attack close to her home. Her life was taken by another child will stop it was a School Day Afternoon and just getting dark when katie rough was found fatally injured at the end of an alleyway on the edge ofa the end of an alleyway on the edge of a Playing Field here in york. The seven year old died a short time later in hospital. It then emerged that a 15 Year Old Girl had attacked her with a knife. Katies parents we re her with a knife. Katies parents were quickly told what had happened and dashed to the scene. We found her at the same time as a Police Officer. I cradled her. Isaw her at the same time as a Police Officer. I cradled her. I saw her injuries, i knew she was gone. I dont know. It is impossible to describe. Wed is held each other. Today, the teenage girl who killed katie admitted what she had done here. Shes too young to be publicly identified and has been in custody ever since. What happened to katie so ever since. What happened to katie so many people in this city. Things like that dont happen in york, such a safer city, such a safe place, such a lovely beautiful place. People come here from All Around The World to see york, so for this to happen here was just unbelievable. The full reasons why this seven year old was killed cannot be told because of lees local reasons. Because of legal reasons. She remembered as a kind and thoughtful child whose life was taken away in dreadful circumstances. What has been said in court today . The video link came up about 11 oclock this morning and the accused who is now 16 years old, she was 15 at the time of the attack, she appeared with a solicitor appearing next to her. She was wearing a dark do. The charges were finally put to her, she needed not guilty to a charge of murder but guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and it was that immediately from the prosecution that they were willing to a Cce Pt Prosecution that they were willing to accept that the. But we usually comes about because of Mental Health problems involving these sorts of cases and we heard a little bit of detail about the history of self harming and suicidal thoughts that the teenager had had in the months and years running up to this attack. So that is part of the case that is ongoing in court at the moment. This girl cannot be identified and the case continues. Whether we get to sentencing today is not clear, but it is said that katie rough died of his fix the asian. She had been strangled. Although she had received sta b strangled. Although she had received stab wounds, they were not fatal, they were not the cause of her death. The seven year old was a 68. She was asphyxiated. Thank you very much danny savage. The Foreign Secretary has become the latest member of the cabinet to put pressure on the chancellor to relax the Public Sector pay cap. Sources close to borisjohnson have made it clear he wants a better deal for workers. He joins the environment secretary, michael gove, who has suggested the 1 pay cap should be lifted. Downing street says decisions will be made on a case by case basis. With me now is our assistant Political Editor norman smith. The pick up was supposed to be in place until 2020. How much pressure is there now for that to change . I think it is very hard to see how the pick up can stay unchanged for the pick up can stay unchanged for the next two years because we have had six Cabinet Ministers now saying that Pay Review Bodies should be able to determine what it should be and it is above the 1 , so be it. Borisjohnson now coming out saying he thinks it can be done without adding to fiscal pressure, in other words, without tax increases, exactly the same as michael gove said at the weekend. All of this must be profoundly irking to the chancellor who sees fellow Cabinet Ministers canvassing for an increase in Public Expenditure and cautioning he does not need to bother about putting up taxes. This is added time when we have a deficit of around 50 billion, an overall debt of around 1. 7 trillion, and this morning we heard from the formal tells the same could not give up on this reduction. Im joined now by pauljohnson, die director of the institute for fiscal studies, and help critical is pay restraint to reducing the deficit . The biggest thing we do with the money we pay in taxes is paid back out in benefits, Welfare Benefits and so on, but the second biggest thing we do is pay public servants, the doctors, soldiers, teachers accept. 180 billion pounds a year costs quite a lot, knocking on for an extra 2 billion every time you increase it by 1 . Until now, that restraint has been important and if you lift that restraint, it will make overall fiscal policy more difficult. We have heard from Boris Johnson and michael gove saying they do not believe that if you eased off on the pay cap, it would lead to fiscal pressures, in other words tax increases. As the chancellor got enough leeway to relax the pay restraint and forget about tax rises . It would result in fiscal pressure because increased Borrowing Isa Pressure because increased borrowing is a kind of fiscal pressure. Yes, the chancellor could decide to borrow more, whether this would be the first thing he would decide to borrow more to do, whether he wanted to reverse of the benefit cuts are increase spending elsewhere, i do not know, but he could borrow more partly because the fiscal target he set himself to get Budget Balance in the mid 20 20s, that could be ten yea rs the mid 20 20s, that could be ten years away, could leave him sometime to give him the dig at ravages minting his. How long untilwe balance the books . Were now going up balance the books . Were now going up to 2025. If he was to it on the chin and ease Public Sector pay, when all the deficit be paid off . We do not know when we will end up with a zero deficit. We do not have to get to a zero deficit within the next few years, but we do have a very big that which is knocking on for 90 of National Income and that is the thing that is going to be worrying the chancellor. Within the scale of things, you can afford a few million here and there, but you cannot keep affording all of that on top of each other, and i think the thing the chancellor will be worried about is not whether i can afford up to5 about is not whether i can afford up to 5 billion for the Public Sector pay, it is whether if i give it for this, they are going to come back for Something Else and Something Else. What i would like to see is the chancellor may be in the Autumn Budget Set out some priorities. Say he is willing to spend and borrow a bit more and this is why the priorities are for public pay year and Something Else over there. His worries the pressure is coming here there and everywhere. In terms of Public Sector versus the private sector, is it correct that Public Sector, is it correct that Public Sector wages sector, is it correct that Public Sector wages are on average sector, is it correct that Public Sector wages are on average higher than those in the private sector and would that make the case for not easing off on the Public Sector pay cap. These comparisons are hard to make. Public sector pay is higher than that in the Public Sector because the Public Sector employs a lot of graduates are now much more likely to be earning more on average. What is best to make the comparison is is word is Public Sector relative to private sector pay six now compared with Pre Crisis Backin pay six now compared with pre crisis back in 2008. The answer is it is about the same place. The Public Sector has not done worse than the private sector over the last eight or nine years, the truth is everyone has done very badly in terms of pay. The reason apart from the politics that the pressure is now rising on Public Sector pay is that if you continue with this 1 pay increase in the Public Sector while the private sector are getting a bit more, then the Public Sector falls rather further behind, so the politics and economic cell pushing at the same time. Thank you very much indeed. We will get a sense of whether Pay Review Bodies are now going to look at breaking the 1 pay cap pretty quickly because the teachers pay review body is due to report later this month. Earlier it was said the measures would be introduced to help customers who may be left behind as the Energy Market changes. We are going to be consulting on these measures because we are worried that first of all some of the more vulnerable mac consumers are the ones not switching, not switching. In the next bewley is, they may be increasing use of the use of the internet and people may get left behind. We are concerned that the most vulnerable in society should be able to get a fair deal. Im joined from our Westminster Studio by the Conservative Mp john penrose, who has been campaigning for lower energy bills. Good afternoon to you. What you are concerned about is that under the proposals from 0fgem, you say fewer than 3 million customers would be helped and the remaining 14 million would see their energy bills rising, Energy Companies recouping the cost of the cap by milking the rest of us. Asking 0fgem on that point. Is there any evidence that when more consumers are protected from price rises that bills go up for the rest of us. He said he saw no evidence of that. What is your response . We originally started with the notion that 70 million households are being ripped off. We are on these standard variables tariffs, they are the rip off tariffs, and if we protect only 3 million out of the 17, that still leaves many millions of households that are not getting that protection. Based on what has been happening, their bills have been going up pretty badly and have been much higher than other kinds of bills for people who do switch and leaf we leave them unprotected, we have got to assume that kind of behaviour is going to carry on, that is what has been happening for yea rs. Is what has been happening for years. I do not see why it would change if 0fgem is not willing to extend the protection to the other 14 million. You Say Parliament needs to step in and legislate on this, so you feel 0fgem does not have enough power to push the of reforms he would like . No one knows exactly how much 0fgem has got in this area, but if 0fgem have got the power, then they should use it and explain why they should use it and explain why they are not willing to apply it to they are not willing to apply it to the other 14 million who are equally deserving who are getting ripped off just as much as the 3 million who they are going to buy the power to. At the not the power, they should be upfront and then it should fall to parliament, to take a lead and put the problem right. But you would like the regulators ideally to deal with this rather than making extra legislation necessary . Absolutely. There is a Cross Party Consensus behind this, see you got to assume that if there was legislation it should go parliament reasonably well because it was in the conservative Party Manifesto and the labour ma nifesto Party Manifesto and the labour manifesto and that of the snp. The majority of the population will have voted for this included the ma nifesto. Voted for this included the manifesto. There should not be this tenet, narrow approach that does not cover most of us who are suffering at the merger. You are in front of this proposal. If the arms opening up this proposal. If the arms opening up the market more . There are some really good things elsewhere in this 0fgem announcement about making the Energy Market more competitive so it puts me and you and the viewers as consumers in the driving seat, giving us the kind of power we take for granted when ever we buy anything in our daily lives. Those are good. But that will take several yea rs are good. But that will take several years to apply. In the meantime, the rip off is now. Years to apply. In the meantime, the ripoff is now. There are many people for whatever reason you are refundable positions who arent able to switch easily be, but for lots of those macro, parts of the responsibility lies with us as consumers because we are lazy about switching suppliers. The scary thing is that even though many of us leads busy lives and we are busy with many other things during the day, even in spite of all of that, when the rip off gets really big in the past, it has not let morris us to take the plunge and switch. It shows how bust and broken this market is, that even when the potential amount of savings we could make a work to hundreds of pounds, we do not do that in huge numbers even now. So some of these underlying changes that 0fgem are announcing our vital and it will ta ke announcing our vital and it will take a while for us to have the confidence to do this as we do its routinely. The headlines now. A 16 Year Old Girl has pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to the manslaughter of katie rough. The french Power Company edf, which is building the controversial new Nuclear Power station at Hinkley Point in somerset, says the estimated costs of the project have risen by £1. 5 billion. Hinkley point c would be the uks first new Nuclear Plant for decades, but has been beset with budget problems. An edf review found the project could also be delayed by up to 15 months. However, the firm said it still hoped to finish the first phase by the end of 2025 as planned. With me is our Business News reporter theo leggett. Why the increasing cost . Do we know the detail . We have not got the details, but what they are saying is that it relates to the cost of adapting the design of the proposed reaction to meet with the requirements of british regulators. This is a design, the reactor that is being built in Northern France and other models being built in finland, there have lots of beans plums and it seems that meeting the concerns of uk regulators have upped the cost of that. There also seems to be concerned about the magnitude of the work required to get it set up. If eds absorbing this additional cost or will it mean that consumers here had to pay more ultimately . Edf is going to absorb it. The way it has been instructed is they are guaranteed a Marriage Minimum Price for the electricity generated there. For the moment, there is no sign that the contract could be renewed. The government has been clear on it as well that the cost of the project is to be borne by the contractors. Given the controversy around this project, presumably critics are saying, well, here we go. Even before this product was given the go ahead last year, the budgeted cost that had escalated and the estimated timescales had gone up as well. Now we are just a few months into it and already costs have risen, so that is meat and drink for critics. They will say this is just the start, the costs and the delays will go way up. Thank you very much. A Public Inquiry into child abuse in jersey will publish its report later today. More than 600 witnesses have given evidence about abuse at childrens homes and in foster care on the island. A Police Investigation recorded more than 500 alleged offences, most of which were said to have been committed at the Haute De La Garenne childrens home. From jersey, robert hall reports. For the past two years, the story ofjerseys Abuse Victims has finally been told. Their cries of anguish had been stifled, ignored or dismissed. But in 2008, a secret Police Investigation brought the islands hidden past to worldwide attention. Alarmed by claims that children had died at the Haute De La Garenne home, Police Brought in specialist search dogs. In the ensuing months, forensic teams recovered fragments of bone, and dozens of childrens teeth. None could be linked to a specific crime or timeframe, but the images of Haute De La Garenne being torn apart prompted accounts of abuse at homes across the island. There were examples of where those in authority misused the power that they had. Yet decisions were made not to deal with those complaints in a way that they ought to have been done. When Inquiry Chair Frances Oldham reveals their findings today, victims will be looking for one clear message. I want them to say that jersey failed catastrophically in looking after the children under their care, and that the government are going to promise that its never going to happen again. Robert hall, bbc news, jersey. Our correspondent dan johnson is injersey and joins us now. Do is is to get a grip on the scale of this abuse. This goes back to 1945 and involves all the different ca re 1945 and involves all the different care homes and childrens homes on the islands, different agencies that we re the islands, different agencies that were involved with children and foster ca re were involved with children and foster care too, so the key priority is to know how many children may have suffered and what the level of abuse was. And also to look at what the authorities knew, whether they knew children were being abused and did not take action, whether there was a cover up of the scale of this abuse. There is also a determination as to whether Childrens Services on the island now are fit to protect honourable children in future. Those are the key things that the victims of child abuse and everyone interested in this enquiry are looking for. It has been a mammoth undertaking. This has been going on for three years, cost £23 million and as head from more than 600 witnesses. They spent many years writing the report which will be revealed here this afternoon, their key finding is widely anticipated. There have been whispers on this island but the children on this island but the children on this island were abused for decades, generation, but the children now hope they will get a full acknowledgement of what they have suffered. Thank you very much. The time is nearly 12 30pm, lets look at the weather. We have got some warm Summer Sunshine across much of the country. A mostly dry day to day, but scattered showers across parts of eastern england, maybe in eastern scotland. Just a small chance of a Passing Light Shower at wimbledon, but most of us avoiding the rain and the temperature is around 17 24 degrees. The cloud filters and across Northern Ireland and through this evening overnight we see rain in Northern Ireland. That heads further east to Southern Scotland and north west england. A 16 Year Old Girl has pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to the manslaughter of seven year old katie rough. Katie was found with severe lacerations to her neck and chest injanuary. She died later in hospital. Foreign secretary borisjohnson has become the latest senior Cabinet Minister to put pressure on the Prime Minister to end the 1 Public Sector pay cap. The Energy Regulator, 0fgem, has announced plans to limit gas and electricity bills for people on low incomes. A price cap is already in place for four Million People who use pre payment meters. The French Energy company, edf, says the cost of building the Nuclear Power station at Hinkley Point in somerset could go up by nearly 10 . It says the total bill is now likely to be nearly 80 handguns are seized from a car heading to the uk from calais. Two men have been charged. Police believe the weapons were intended for criminals in the uk. Up to 18 people are feared dead after a tour bus crashed and burst into flames in Southern Germany. The bus collided with a lorry on a motorway close to the bavarian town of stammbach. Police say 31 people were injured. Earlier our berlin correspondent jenny hill gave us the latest there were 48 people on board this bus, 46 passengers, two drivers, as you say, a group of adult germans thought to have been on a tour from the state of saxony. 30 people are injured, some severely, and a further 18 are still unaccounted for. At the moment, the reports here are suggesting that police think that it is possible that those 18 missing people may be dead. There was a suggestion, a Police Spokesman earlier said that perhaps some of them managed to get off the bus and ran away from the scene in shock, but in the last few minutes, a spokesman from The Fire Brigade said that is unlikely because along the motorway there are fences which are in place to stop deer and so on getting onto the motorway from the forest on either side, so it would be very difficult for anybody to get off of the motorway at that point. Pretty grim news here im afraid. As i say, no one has confirmed fatalities yet, but police are telling us to expect them. Jackie smith, the Chief Executive and registrar of the nursing and Midwifery Council explained how the research had been conducted we e mailed to 20,000 nurses and midwives who had less the register in the last 12 months and asked us to tell us why that was. But 4. 5 thousand responded and what came out as the issues that concern them most was working conditions. We can speculate about what that means but iimagine speculate about what that means but i imagine there are complex set of reasons as to why i imagine there are complex set of reasons as to why someone i imagine there are complex set of reasons as to why someone would leave the profession. Obviously you are concerned that is not necessarily nurses and midwives who are approaching Retirement Age, but younger members of staff who are choosing to leave as well. What sort of impact is that going to have . M we see nurses and midwives leave the profession for a whole range of age groups, that indicates that something is going on which is creating dissatisfaction. Im sure the government and others who are seen the government and others who are seen this data today, and have their own data, will want to understand their reasons for it. And well have planned ins placed to respond to it. It is difficult to be precisely sure why nurses and midwives leave. What is paramount as though we share the information and look at the trend. The trend may reverse as we go through the year, but it is important to understand the reasons why. A haul of firearms has been seized in france from a car heading to the uk. 79 viable weapons were recovered from the cars trailer when it was stopped by uk Border Force Officers at coquelles near the Channel Tunnel Terminal on saturday. Daniel sandford explained the background. The 79 handguns were buried in the cavities in the Engine Blocks of the trailer towed by a van. There were six people 17 people in the van including a 17 Year Old Girl. But it was the man in charge of the bands who was arrested and appeared in court in uxbridge this morning. These are not actually full handguns, they were Nine Millimetre Handguns, they were Nine Millimetre Handguns of the type used by the military or police. They are subtly awed handguns, they fire a low velocities small bullet, four Millimetre Flaubert bullets. But they can be lethal . They can, not lethal but a significant distance but they could be lethal. They look like handguns and the fire real bullets, so in the hands of criminals, they could potentially still be very very significant in terms of the threat that they pose to other criminals or people threatened by criminals. Any idea who these were destined for . Police are working on it but we believe they were heading for the criminal market, they were illegal weapons without a licence to limit the license, they believe there was a focus on london but they are guessing they are destined for the criminal market in london or elsewhere in the uk. The Qatari Foreign minister is in kuwait to deliver a response to an ultimatum from qatars arab neighbours. Earlier the group gave Qatar Another 48 hours to comply with their list of demands Downgrading Ties with iran, closing its international broadcaster, al jazeera, and cutting support for the muslim brotherhood. Earlier i spoke to our security correspondent frank gardner, who said the qataris would not be happy with the restrictions placed on them. The qataris have said these are unrealistic, the demands were designed deliberately to be rejected. They are pretty tough demands. They are humiliating, but saudi arabia, uae and bahrain and eat it to a lesser extent, i think there is zero trust with qatar, they reached a and pass in 2014, qatar had a request and agreed, signed up, but then they carried on supporting groups with those countries considered to be an anathema to their existence. Qatar say they will not negotiate while this blockade, as they put it, is in place. Since june of this, the neighbours have basically close qatar, close the lambeau. Qatar was not a big country, its fabulously wealthy but not big, its totally dependent on outside imports for all its food. Currently that is being met by turkey and iran, which are flying in supplies. This is not sustainable in the long term. Qatar are supposed to be hosting the 2022 world cup. There area number of be hosting the 2022 world cup. There are a number of reasons this matters to britain. There were suggestions by qatars neighbours that it is it but responsible for extremism in this country. If that is the case then saudi arabia is too. Qatar has billions of pounds invested in real estate. It owns 95 of the shard, all of harrods, 22 of sainsbury is, the stock exchange, 60 of barclays, in the post brexit ill, these are vital investment. Several flights into Gatwick Airport were diverted last night after reports of a drone flying close to the runway. Easyjet said four of its flights had been affected, while British Airways said one plane had been sent to bournemouth. Other planes had to circle the airport as a precaution. Sussex police are investigating. Earlier i wasjoined by Steve Landells, the British Airlines Pilot Association Flight Safety specialist, who said a lot can be done to stop this from happening. Earlier i wasjoined by Steve Landells, the British Airlines Pilot Association Flight Safety specialist, who said a lot can be done to stop this from happening. U nfortu nately we a re unfortunately we are seeing more and more near misses with drones and aircraft, and we will see more disruption caused by drones. We are in now way against drones, they are having potential commercially and recreationally. But in the essbase, it must be done sensibly. The first thing to do is educate people. If you fly putting lives fly your drying, in essbase, you are putting lives at risk. If that is not enough, you are in danger in aircraft if you dont hit it. You can go to prison for five years. This is a really bad thing and we need to educate people. You say measures should be put in place to identify people flying drones irresponsibly . People can buy a drone and fly it. Wed think people should buy a drone, and not be able to fly it until they are exposed to the wills. We want to see compulsory registration screens. Before you buy the drone, you have to go online, being exposed to the rules, understand the rules, and then get an unlock code. That is what we need to do. And hopefully that will stop people flying into trouble accidentally. As you mentioned before, there are a lot of people out there who dont care about the rules. There are people out there who fly safely, but there area large out there who fly safely, but there are a large amount of people flying irresponsibly. There are other measures to take on there needs to bea measures to take on there needs to be a technological solution. There is geo fencing, which stops drones flying into airports. But is not mandate only and not widespread. We wa nt to mandate only and not widespread. We want to see that as a first step. Lets talk to vicki young at westminster. How much pressure is there to lift this pay cap before there to lift this pay cap before the current state of 2020 . Its incredible that Cabinet Ministers are coming out publicly, talking openly about all this. Downing street are trying to hold the line, saying nothing has changed when it comes to the cap, that they will look at these things but dont expect anything to change imminently. Lets speak to stephen hammond, conservative backbencher. Its unusual, isnt it, Cabinet Minister saying this needs to happen . It is certainly unusual. You expect the Cabinet Collective Responsibility to be discussing it and coming out with a line. It shows of the contentions as a result of the election campaign. That is beginning to spill out. If we give more money to Public Sector workers, how can it be paid for . First thing is the government quite rightly, all the way through, says howerd revalued Public Sector workers and they are saying if you value us, show us the money. The first thing is they will agree to honour the independent pay review is as becker matsu next year, some have already deliberated. The problem is the chancellor, how will he pay for it . The easy mcdonalds solutions dont touch the sides. What you have to look at is either a broad based tax that affects all of us, having to pay a bit more tax, or you will have to look at the glide path to getting the service taking slightly longer. Pushing that out further, it has already been pushed out further. We will continue to bollard billions borrowed billions. Philip hammond has made some changes to the target to improve the potential of the economy going through the late 205. That is the right move. Thi5 economy going through the late 205. That is the right move. This will be a difficult decision, pu5hing that is the right move. This will be a difficult decision, pushing it out slightly further. But our critics cant have it both ways. They kante and austerity and then at the same time they were borrowing more, you probably have to do that to make these demands being made by the Public Sector. You are close to philip hammond, do you think he is irritated by Cabinet Ministers going out publicly and undermining his chances . I dont think it will undermine his position as chancellor. Hes shown he is a chancellor. Hes shown he is a chancellor of the middle quality. He will quite rightly formidable quality. He will rightly say, who are you going to put more taxes on . There will be a lot of people saying i support more money for the Public Sector but i cant pay more tax at the moment. Because the economy is not picking up because the economy is not picking up in the way we would like it too. So he will have to say to colleagues, fine you saying that, but lets have a discussion of how we will pay for it. Thank you. A lively discussion going on here, quite a lot of it happening in public. Thank you, vicky. The headlines now. A 16 Year Old Girl has pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to the manslaughter of katie rough. Katie was found with severe lacerations to her neck and chest on a Playing Field in a Playing Field and data later in chest on a Playing Field in a Playing Field and died later in hospital. Borisjohnson is the latest calling for an end to the government 1 pay cap on Public Sector workers. Energy regulator 0fgem says it is looking for limiting gas and electricity for the more people on low incomes. The bbc has learnt that girls as young as nine are seeking surgery on theirjoiner because they are distressed by its appearance. Doctors say theyre seeing young teenagers who are distressed by how their body looks even though they are healthy and have no medical need for surgery. Labiaplasty is an operation which is not recommended for those under the age of 18 because the body has not finished developing. Some medical experts are comparing the unnecessary operation on young girls to female genital mutilation, as Jean Mackenzie explains. Iin our visual, virtual world, there is an increasing pressure on teenagers to look the part. But how far will girls now go . Ive come to meet one of the countrys leading adolescent gynaecologists, whos concerned about the number of young girls wanting cosmetic surgery on the genitals. Girls will sometimes come out with comments like, well, ijust hate it. Ijust want it removed, i want it treated. Typically they will be 14, 15, 16, but i have seen girls who are younger. The youngest girl i have seen as a girl of nine. The surgery is called labiaplasty, it is where the lips of the vagina are shortened and reshaped. It can be done for cosmetic reasons or if they are causing a woman pain. Paquita has been a gp for 30 years and has only recently started seeing patients with these concerns. I remember the Girl Pointing at her genitalia, and her nose sort of wrinkling in disgust. And saying, whats this . There seems to be this very narrow spectrum of what is acceptable. That the inner lips, if you like, should be invisible. A bit like a barbie doll, you dont see anything. The nhs says it wont carry out this surgery for cosmetic reasons and that it shouldnt be performed on girls under 18. But last year more than 150 girls and the age of 15 had labiaplasty on the nhs. I find it very hard to believe that there were 156 girls under the age of 15 who had a medical abnormality with the labia that meant they needed to have surgery. I think that is extraordinary. And as a paediatric and adolescent gynaecologist i have never seen a girl under the age of 15 who has needed to have an operation on her labia. There is a lot of pressure, especially on social media, its all pictures of working out looking a certain way. And you look at yourself and think, oh, i dont look like that at all do you ever worry about the appearance of that part of your body . There was one thing on snapchat a few weeks ago. It was like, there are four different types of vaginas. So it was like, what if it doesnt fit into that . People just dont know what they should look like. They are not being taught so they go online and see these artificial pictures, and then they think, oh my god, maybe i am not quite normal. Teaching young girls what their bodies look like is crucial but naomi says some of the responsibility must live with the professionals. I dont think it should be performed. Certainly on girls under the age of 18. Over the age of 18 it should be seen for what it is, which is a cosmetic procedure which people may choose to buy. President trump has been accused of inciting violence against journalists, after he tweeted a Spoof Wrestling Video showing him assaulting a man with a cnn logo Super Imposed on his head. In the footage, hes shown punching the cnn character repeatedly. The president regularly accuses cnn and other Media Outlets of broadcasting what he calls fake news. Our correspondent tom burridge has more. It is President Trumps latest attack on the so called mainstream media, a video from 2007, when donald trump appeared at a Wwe Wrestling event. Ringside, he pretended to beat someone up. But, on the version of the video the president has tweeted, a cnn logo is superimposed on the mans head. Prominent american journalists, even some right wing commentators, have criticised the video. This is not modern day president ial. It is modern day crass, it is modern day coarseness. It is an incitement to violence. One senior aide to the president said no one would perceive the video as a threat against the media. But even supporters of President Trump say his tweets are a distraction. We want him to concentrate on what is important to the american people, like tax reform and Repealing Obamacare and national security, and we would really like for him to put down the twitter account. Away from the protests, Many Americans like Donald Trumps provocative style. Mr trump said his tweets are those of a modern president. Cnn described the video he tweeted asjuvenile behaviour, far below the dignity of the office of president. In an exclusive interview, Stephen Hawking has told the bbc that Donald Trumps decision to withdraw from the paris climate agreement, could doom the planet, and future generations will have no choice but to find life elsewhere. He was speaking on his 75th birthday, a milestone he says he never thought hed reach. Our science correspondent, pallab ghosh, went to meet him. Thank you for this interview and happy birthday. You have done so much for science communication and inspired so many people. Of all the things you have done, what would you like your legacy to be . things you have done, what would you like your legacy to be . I never expected to reach 75, so i feel very fortunate to be able to reflect on my legacy. I think my greatest achievement will be my discovery that black holes are not entirely black. Quantum effects caused them to glow like hot bodies with a temperature that is lower, than the black hole. This result was completely unexpected and showed there is a deep relationship between gravity and thermodynamics. I think this will be key to understanding our paradoxes between quantum metallic remick wrote mechanics and general relativity can be resolved. There will be a wonderful prize and legacy to leave. On the more political things, what do you think the impact of brexit will be on science . Science is a cooperative effort, say the impact will be wholly bad and will leave british science inward looking and isolated. What is your view on Donald Trumps decision to withdraw from the paris climate agreement and what will it affect the planet . We are close to a point where Global Warming becomes irreversible. One section could push the earth over the brink to become a temperature of 250 degrees and reigning sulphuric acid. Climate change is one of the great dangers we face, and this one we can prevent if we act now. By denying the evidence for climate change, and pulling out of the paris climate agreement, donald trump will cause environmental damage to our beautiful planet. Endangering the Natural World for us and our children. Do you believe humanity will ever solve these environmental and social problems, resolve its complex, and evolved to a high level . And if so, what do you think that future will be . Do you think that future will be . Do you think our days are numbered . think that future will be . Do you think our days are numbered . I fear revolution has an in built aggression to humans. There is no sign of conflict lessening, and the development of technology and weapons of mass destruction could make some disastrous. The best hope for the survival of the human race might be independent colonies in space. 75th birthday celebrations, if money and practicality would now object, what would be your dream present . M to your phone at Motor Neurone Disease, or a cure a cure for motor a cure for motor neurone a cure for Motor Neurone Disease or als. I lam i am still working and producing scientific papers. It has been a great struggle with love got to only with a lot of help from my family, colleagues and friends. Speaking of scientific papers, there is a new theory for how the universe began, can you give us details . The theory of eternal inflation predicts that our universe and the larger scale is like an infinite fractal with a mid mosaic of universes separated by an inflating ocean. We predict our universe and the largest scales is globally finite. So there was not a fractal structure. Professor hawking, thank you so much. You are an inspiration to us all.
