Senior credit analyst. Pleasure to have you on the first day of may and a big day for bank earnings. We have been hearing from a series of banks so far this year. Would you say lloyd is the best performer . If you look at the result its indeed quite song and its at the underlying level and theyre super bullish for the year. It will top the 55 day were talking about and the capital looks very strong. In the stu. K. It looks like the First Quarter results. Could we see it given the mixed set of data on the Housing Market in the u. K. . Its a distinct possibility and thats why when the banks say we have a very common equity one ratio then think about the possibility of moving to the standard requirement for the mortgage, the floor and then we could see this common equity one coming down quite significantly. Lets also switch focus to rbs. Its still seeing a sizable restructuring and litigation expenses. Is this a foreseeable head wind for the company . Yes. They have been guiding for restructuring costs to be here to stay for the next few quarters. The effects would probably come very soon. Possibly before june. The elephant in the room is the u. S. Mortgage settlement. Its the Global Financial crisis but at the same time lets not forget the capital was up 30 beeps. And if they deconsolidate the u. S. Banks they own citizen. Thats 45 billion going off to balance streets. On the other side its a little bit disputable how much progress theyre doing but at the Balance Sheet much stronger. Deal activity has been in focus as well. I was looking at the number. So far this year at a multiyear high. Investors betting on a european recovery. The euro also adding fuel to the activity weve been seeing this year. How big of an opportunity is this for the banks and which do you think have the best exposure to the deal were saying . U. S. Central banks, jp Morgan Goldman sachs. And inan europe i would think of the likes of Barclays Deutsche and a very strong First Quarter result on the back of a very stronger Investment Bank income. Quick word on your thoughts on the us. Thanking sector. This should be a great time given the potential rate hike inat the coming months. Over 13 trillion is sitting in american bankn account or money market funds earning little or noit interest. Is that already priced into the u. S. Banking sector . Irate rise would be possible for the banks but it would effect the Financial Assets and portfolio. The big topic is the lending growth. We saw the lending and it was suggesting that. We know they would have been lower thane expected. So very different from the european banks. We should point out in the month of april financials one of the bright spots in the u. S. Markets. Thank you for joining us here on Worldwide Exchange. Senior credit analyst at fund managers. Its the end of april and beginning of may. British voters question Party Leaders last night in the final tv setpiece of the u. K. Election campaign. It gave u. K. Prime minister David Cameron the upper hand putting him six points ahead of the Opposition Leader ed miliband. What happens if theres no clear winner in next thursdays poll . A referendum was a read line for him. I will not lead a government that does not deliver that pledge. I couldnt be clearer about the red line because people have been let down too many times about this issue and i want everyone holding that pencil in their hands in the voting book in a weeks time to know if you get me you have that chance. Im not going to have a Labour Government if it means deals or coalition with a Scottish National party. Theres no easy route to vote and get a labour govern. Ment. Im not going to start battering away my manifesto no matter what the outcome of the election. My great fear as i was saying earlier is if you have David Cameron dancing to the tune of the right wing of the conservative party or you have ed miliband at the beck and call of alex you go off to the right and the left. If either of them still think theyre going to win a majority they should go lie down in that darkened room. The election is really coming down to the wire will. Absolutely. Incredibly close. Lets talk a good bit about that debate last night. David cameron just about won it last night. He did see probably his best Live Television performance of the whole election campaign. Probably too little too late in order to get an overall majority but he will be pleased with his performance. Ed miliband started off more slowly but the real story for him somehow he has grown. He did face tougher questions than cameron, in particular from business leaders. Thats why perhaps he didnt come off quite as well but overall not a disaster performance. They struggled a little bit. Without the other two he struggled to make that point that he likes to say that hes the conservatives with a heart and the labor party with a brain but trying to highlight his differences from the two parties without them next to him was hard for him. Overall, the headlines again this morning on the likelihood of forming coalitions. Interestingly i caught up with him yesterday, of course the shadow chancellor. I was talking to him following the poll that suggested scotland was on course to win every single seat north of the border. So i asked whether it was time for labour to throw in the towel in scotland. What you dont do is throw in the towel 7 days before the general election when the vast majority havent voted. More than that the polls show 30 are likely to vote have not yet decided and are not in the opinion polls. What were hearing on the doorstep is people focussing on the choice and the choice is really clear. David cameron wants the s p to do well. The s p want david cam ran to do well because they know that will drive scotland toward independence. They have two roads. Second referendum and tory government or Labour Government. You only get a Labour Government if you vote labour. Seven days to go. We want scotland to choose the right choice. Thats the labor road. All voters are getting very tired about, it was evident last night is the claims by both labour and the conservatives that they still think its possible to get a majority and they continue to dodge the question of who they would like to form a coalition with. We look with six days to go like getting a minority government of some form and its uncertain who will be Prime Minister and occupying the house behind me. At this point a coalition seems inevitable. Theres more on whats driving Voter Opinion in the u. K. Election on our site cnbc. Com. Lets discuss more and how it could impact your portfolio. Were joined here around the desk. Wilfred frost is still with us. If conservatives do win the grexit is a big concern. Will london lose its reputation and what would the Economic Impact be . I dont think it would lose the financial hub. But it wouldnt be good. The uncertainty that we would be faced with is not great. Thats almost far worse than the election outcome which i think is going to be a little bit less exciting than it currently looks. Jump in here. Im going to dive in as well. The issue of a brexit is overplayed by people. Even if we get a conservative government and referendum it wontd come wont come about until 2017 and it will be lead by someone pro european. But the leaders we just mentioned still want to stay in europe. So i think a brexit is hugely unlikely. Its 2. 5 years and a tough referendum away. So for me the uncertainty were facing on the economy and markets isnt so much focused on that, nor the idea that labour could be bad for business. Theyre a far cry even with s p support. Its much more on the shortterm on the uncertainty with the lack of a clear government and clear majority. But its not going to change the longterm outlook which remains challenging. Im not saying its that bright but both labor and the conservatives have in general, relatively similar fiscal plans and they are focused on the same thing. Slowly paying down the deficit but markets and the economy will react more to that and Monetary Policy than the outcome of the election. Are the fears overdone given that any vote on eu membership wont happen two years from now . Its not the fear that theyll actually exit but in the run up to it theres always a possibility that something might happen and as we saw in the run up to the Scottish Referendum then theres the fear it might happen after all and that uncertainty is not good for the business community. One week to go. What do you think reacts most strongly . Currencies, bonds or equities. I think its currencies. Interesting after the last election it did rally once we saw the coalition formed aand the immediate aftermath it sold off by about 2. 7 i think over the seven days while there was the posturing. There will be uncertainty while that happens but longterm i dont think its going to make a huge difference to the outcome of u. K. Pcl. Lets break down specific sectors. Are you concerned about the impact of the proposed mansion tax and how that could effect the housing sector here in the u. K. Not overly. Its too small a sector overall but it could discourage people from making the progress in their life theyre aiming to do. I dont think its such a great idea. But was that a blow to the conservatives . It was quite the disappointing number. Weakness in construction and manufacturing as well as the Services Sector. It wasnt helpful for the Coalition Government but it didnt come with any great surprise to us. There was that global winter bilp we had. That wasnt a huge surprise. I think the public hasnt really taken too much notice from that one figure. Tax cuts have been proposed. Could we see a meaningful rise in Household Income and rise in metrics like inflation. Where the u. S. Is with the deficit and other things i cant see any significant tax cuts. I see that much more as preelection posturing and in the end they all know theyll have to do a coalition and in that agreement you can then just say im so sorry. Wont be able to deliver on that. I think the interesting point that i took from last night was that red line that cameron drew that he said with me at the top there will be a referendum. You cant have me without a referendum. Thats the strong stance he made there. We want to discuss the fed and earnings with you and the kick off to may. What can investors expect. He sticks with us here on Worldwide Exchange. From james bond to the other 007, we caught up with Pierce Brosnan and asked him who he is backing in the election. Stay out of that one. I have been out of the loop. President obama isnt dealing with a high deficit because we built more schools and hospitals. Hes feel dealing with a high deficit because theres the Global Financial crisis. The 23ig your of course still above 50 which does indicate growth but still a lackluster number to say the least when looking at manufacturing here in the u. K. We also got a look at u. K. March mortgage approvals at 61,000 331 versus what we saw in the month of february. Sterling right now is slightly its slightly weaker here against the u. S. Dollar at is 15329. Worries about the economy recovery. I want to quickly get your thoughts on this manufacturing number. Is this a big concern or just a shortterm blip that will be overlooked by investors . All depends on how strong the euro zone will recover. Its an immediate consequence of the strength of sterling that was going to come through at some point but lets not forget manufacturing isnt such a great big sector in the u. K. That was the pmi for the Services Sector i would be worried. But i thought Lower Oil Prices was supposed to help the sector . We have seen that number rise steadily so theres still some questions as to why we saw a dip here in april. I didnt expect as much of a dip. And i can only put it to the strength of sterling which is making it more difficult for the u. K. Manufacturers to par gattis paint in the recovery. Again. U. K. Manufacturing pmi falling to a 7 month low of 51. 9 coming in six days ahead of the u. K. General election. You can see the sterling moving as investors react. Lets look at the other currencies and movement in the euro of course. Given the steady rise the sharp reversal in the euro in the month of april. That has been catching investors by surprise and there you go take a look at the monthly performance. Euro gaining 4. 4 against the u. S. Dollar. Take a look at the dollar index. This has been the big concern when looking at u. S. Corporate earnings. The negative impact for the multinationals that make money overseas but we have been seeing the unwinding of the trade given the soft Economic Data out of the u. S. Sending the index lower. In the month of april down 3. 6 . Heres the big winner. After that big move to the downside in the russian rouble well a very different story here in 2015. Gaining about 11. 5 . Yesterday the Russian Central Bank cutting rates by 150 basis points. Now through earnings season we have been asking ceos for their take on the impact of currency head winds in their industry. Take a look at the biggest responses. Its only 2 and its solid growth. Its only 2 . Clearly the currency in some areas like the dollar is retraced. The euro is obviously still weak so that is having an impact on the business overall. I think we feel like the measures in place were appropriate. They obviously the results were good in the first squart quarter as a result of that. So we think its an appropriate response. The big swings in currencies of course one complicating factor and we have never seen such a big swing which makes it harder to predict where we are but clearly where the weak Swedish Krona is right now thats very positive. A month ago people were thinking that we would shoot underneath 1 and we should give it time. And you are right now looking at live pictures of athens where Civil Servants and labour unions are demonstrating to mark may day. A live shot of athens. Well continue to bring in the live shots as activity is seen. Speaking of greece the greek finance minister hinted athens may offer concessions to international kred tors as crunch talks resumed yesterday. This could conclude further asset sales and measures to tackle tackle it. Theyre trying to before the cash crunch. Greece must repay almost a billion euros to the imf by may 12th. This comes as greek pensioners queued at banks around athens yesterday after the government delayed pension payments to over 2 million citizens due to a technical hint. National bank of greece saw the biggest ones outside the banks. Lets talk about greece and the payments coming up some changes at the top. They have swapped out the Leather Jacket for a tie. Do you think this will help the negotiations with International Creditors. It will definitely help. He made too many enemies. He really hasnt helped the case and as we can see with the payment crisis at the moment the heat its eating up. Theres stuff that needs to be done. The deadlines are always looming. It would be a shame if we had this grexit and i much prefer greek limbo. We just love financial activities kro anymores. Especially when it comes to greece. Greece has gone through the tough stuff over the last couple of years. The debt is just too high. It needs to be recognized across the euro zone and i think they do recognize it but they want to get a little bit back as well from this new government in terms of accelerating some of the reforms that are still needed and i think eventually it will end in a compromise. Interesting. He threatened to hold a referendum if lenders try to push athens too far but do you think this vote will reveal that citizens are not happy and thus help the talks move forward . Its a very risky strategy. The National Bank is certainly pressured from the euro zone. Despite a lack of progress when it comes to the reforms list the greek debt market and bond market are signaling that investors arent as concerned about a greek default. Why do you think that is . Its too much at stake and they know that greece has gone through the tough adjustments already and isnt that far away from getting on to a proper recovery path. It just requires the creditor countries to recognize that the debt burden at the moment is still too high and theres some responsibility on the lender side as well because they have made poor lending decisions. Do you think as fears subside when it comes to the financial situation thats one of the reasons we are seeing the move in the german bund. Yields spiking different than the past couple of months. I wouldnt put too much in the greek situation. The Million Dollar question this year is is this the year when the bond market is actually finally turning and this last week we saw that theres more Market Participants getting nervous that this may be the point. Last week we had the ten year bund at zero and now its close to. 4. So thats a massive move and massive surprise but its also a sign of what we might see coming for the rest of the year. But longterm, the ecb Quantitative Easing Program should push yields down going further. Thats what it should do but as we saw in the u. S. As well with quantitative easing if it has a very positive income in the economy then yields go up despite the buying pressure but thats the really interesting bit to watch. Thank you so much. So there you go. 4,442. Are you bullish on chinese stocks right now given the expectation or further Central Bank Intervention . Im a bit cautious on the stocks. They have risen a lot. I would probably disagree with the earlier comment that it was on the back of monetary easing. Its very much a domestic reaction to the government discouraging residential investment. So a lot of money has rushed into the stock market. Retail money too. Exactly. Retail money too that was pushed out and that market is relatively high now. Its not that bad over the longer term. How often do we see a government give trading advice to its citizens. That in itself was absurd. Futures but just a week back we were at record highs but continued concerns around the sustain blt sustainability plus weak Economic Data. There were some winners, though. The best performer sector thanks to a rebound in oil prices. Crude gaining about 20 in the month of april and here heres the s p 500 and how it faired in the last month. A chair of. 8 in the month of april. Now this was a historic month for the nasdaq. Hitting a new record high but it failed to hold on to that level as a mixed set of tech earnings and concerns over valuations plus a sell off in bio tech sending the nasdaq lower. Its now trading below its 50 Day Moving Average. A key level that technical analysts are watching. The nasdaq at 4,941. Lets talk more about what to expect in may and also look back at what happened in april with carter worth. Head of Technical Analysis alt cornerstone macro. Thank you for joining us today. What did you make of the sell off that we saw yesterday . Is this the start of a long prolonged sell off . It was severe and we do know and some of what you discussed just now is we have i would characterize a market which is very high in volatility and low in variance. Meaning we have these great swings intraday. Individual stocks of course having epic plunging after their earnings and surges which is often the case but were going nowhere. This is essentially may 1st and the market made no progress and everyone knows that so i think the question is now is this stall is it for shadowing a rolling over or as the bulls would argue that this is a pause that refreshes. We think its a stall that is not good. But is it concerning theyre all trading below their 50 Day Moving Averages . Thats right. Its how damage the starts and it doesnt take a lot to get down to it but it does imply that youre at a risk of breaking a more meaningful trend and its going on in the most extended parts of the market. An weve had an offset by energy coming to life but its deterioration that cant be ignored. Do you think, though i mean, the rekrencent string of the disappointing data. Especially when you look at the u. S. Gdp number but weve seen that before. Take a look at q1 of 2014. Lackluster due to weather and then a rebound in the second quarter. Can we see that in 2015 . The 2014 analog is on everyones mind and its incredible how we had a quite first part of the year and then the weatherrelated gdp dip into negative and then came back sharply. Thats very possible. What we do know is that the market in terms of its parts, many individual parts are different in this point as they were in 2015. Energy being so much lower than it was then and Certain Health care and consumer and others are so much higher. In that sense and thats usually a sign of narrowing breath. The sector was the worst performing sector in april. Bio tech stocks on the nasdaq were off more than 3 for the month. Health care and utility slipped too. Energy was up more than 6 on the month but when it comes to bio tech what does your Technical Analysis tell you . Are we starting a larger correction here . Yeah we think its still concerned if the sense of if you use the ibb which is the most liquid etf to track the nasdaq bio tech index. We have given back a reasonable we like to use the 150 Day Moving Average. We think were going there and this would be a good reset because this is one of the most extended areas of the market. Its a very powerful principal. Those really ahead like consumer and bio tech are coming in and those behind like energy are coming to life. Some are saying that the sector is getting overbought. What are your thoughts . Im in that camp actually. That the ricochet and it is that its been violent. Its brought hope back into the space but could it continue . And if one believes it continues one believes in a vbottom and theyre exceedingly rare. Yeah. Lets also talk about the small caps because the russell 2000 did come under pressure in the month of april. Are you looking at the small caps as leadership as to what to expect from the Broader Market in may . Whats so interesting is that the small caps if you were to take the entire value of the russell 2000 at some it only adds up to the top 4 or 5 stocks in the s p 500. So it doesnt matter in that sense. These are the names that were supposed to benefit from the stronger dollar. Thats not what we saw in april. Thats right. The small caps are supposed to be immune from problems and geo political problems and they have been over a year and now theyre faltering. Linked in reporting First Quarter earnings and revenues after the close on thursday but the company also lowered its guidance for the rest of the year. Dreamworks animation with a smaller loss. The company has seen a series of Box Office Disappointments recently and posted a 55 million loss for the quarter. Are people talking about these fights and placing bets in the market . Sure. Theyre definitely theyre attending these events and counting on it to be their entire weekend. They should be. Its exciting. The money part of it aside, in term of betting on it you can feel it in the tone and tenor when the conversation comes up how anticipating they are. Absolutely. Lets get back to markets. Looking at the broader picture. Europe is recovering. China trying to work hard. U. S. Going through this blip of disappointing data. At this juncture are you bullish or bearish . I think you have to consider this a situation where you have very extended areas of the global scene. Nikkei has come a long way. Imagine the dax being 50 off the low in october and then at the other extreme you have sort of either stalled or are stalling. And then if you look over the parts that compose the global hole and try to say well what is it that can take us higher from here, the one thing that we think you can use a control mechanism for the entire way forward is u. S. Financials and financials in general. They have not kept up and they are the second biggest sector in the s p and i would say at this point for the u. S. Equity market in any event to move higher in a meaningful way you have to get some contribution from marquee banks, brokers and ensurers. Asseters. Its thin skin holds in 38,000 cubic meters of helium gas. It was developed as part of a secret Pentagon Program but that was shelved back in 2013. Today the airlander is undergoing testing north of london after being bought back by its creators. Hybrid air vehicles. The main purpose today is for civilian use. This can provide days worth of communications or overwatch and help with a rescue attempt or help monitor a situation but more than that it can land and take off anywhere so it can move cargo, equipment, anywhere thats remote that doesnt have roads, doesnt have railways. The company is also hoping to one day have the airlander as a future mode of transportation. A slow one. Its big rsister will carry from 200 to 400 people. You can see the trend has been big going from software to hardware. Creams and lotions to tools and machines. I was reading online the use of light technology, mike. Apparently red light is used to speed up cell renewal and a blue light is used to sooth skin and reduce areas of inflammation. Does this actually work or is this a gimmick . It does work if its used correctly. Theres a lot of gim ix on the market of course so make sure you use a reputable source. You look at social media and its evident that with the use of filters and photo apps were living in a society where theres a level of perfection to achieve perfection. Is that good. We don think trying to achieve perfection is a healthy thing because youre never going to be perfect. Wrinkles happen, pimples happen stretch marks happen. Well try to help you take care of these things but dont try to go for perfection. I thought imperfections were supposed to be what made us unique but with photo editing apps you can take away that pimple. I think you look fantastic. I wouldnt change a thing. And if youre just tuning in to Worldwide Exchange thank you for joining us here on this friday. Yesterday a big sell off on wall street but futures pointing to a higher open. It was a sour month for stocks. Some ended the month selling equities and bonds lower which was interesting yesterday. Some of the winning trades getting unwound this week. The dollar losing about 4 this week. Reacting to the weak data out of the u. S. Durable goods, retail sales and the latest gdp surprising to the downside. Stronger euro by the way. Bad news to germany thats an export power house. Dax losing about 4 . While the dollar weakened as of late the overarching story is the negative impact on corporate earnings. All this month we have been asking ceo smss for their take. Take a listen to their responses responses. The overall net effect on currencies is rather lengthy. The solid growth. Its only 2 . Clearly, the currency in some areas like the dollar is retraced. The euro obviously is still weak versus the swiss frank. Thats having an impact on the business overall. We feel like the measures we put in place are appropriate. The results were good in the First Quarter as a result of that. Sticking with the plans going through we think its an appropriate response. I think the big swings in currency is one complicating factor. In my carrier the last 10 or 15 years ive never seen such a big swing between the Swedish Krona and u. S. Dollar but i think that clearly clearly thats very positive all the time. A month ago people were thinking we would shoot underneath the one. We should give it time to reach it. Lets talk more about the currency trade with the senior fx strategist joining us from cnbc headquaters. Hey, sebastian. Understanding the fundamental reason behind the sharp rise in the euro is what id like to do here. When i speak to analyst theres multiple reasons. Is it greece that renewed talks between greek leaders and International Creditors . Some say it has to do with the disappointing data out of the u. S. Or encouraging data out of the euro zone. What do you think is the main driver of the euro . Whats really happening is typically in an environment where you get a massive forced move out of one country which would be the euro zone into the u. S. The outcome is that you overshoot or in this case undershoot the market and what you have done is undershoot the Market Selling between 110 and parity. This is quite typical. They look to the size of the portfolios and most of them to shift into the other country which is the u. S. And only part of these portfolios can adjust and most happen through valuation. The market is settleling back at 112 but positions are being squeezed and we could reach the top of 22680. These have been reduced. They remain very large and they have to continue to be reduced in an environment where liquidity is some what limited. So, okay the euro gained about 4 against the u. S. Dollar in the month of april. Whats your call in april . Does it head higher or lower . Definitely heading for top however youll probably see the dollar continuing to force itself. For example, today we might get some surprise on the ism. Odds are its better than expected. The odds of that is very very high. Its the easiest rate around. Its also linked to positioning in bund switch is incorrect and that replacing has happened in the euro zone curve as well as the euro dollar and thats the easiest rate. It doesnt really change much in the direction of the dollar in the medium terms. We feel quite confident that well reach parity next year but it will be a slow growth. Quick word on russia. We have been seeing the massive move in 2015. Investors encouraged. Whats your call on the rouble . We think a lot of the depreciation already happened. The rebound has partly happened fair values between 35 and 40. Its very low odds. We think a lot of it has happened. Were in an era of consolidation and remains some what difficult. And therefore we probably in consolidation. Russia does offer high yield. You may not be able to get out the way you want to. A dramatic move. It was the worst performing currency in 2014. Its now the best performing currency in 2015. Thank you so much for joining us here on Worldwide Exchange. Lets also look at the other top stories. We spoke to uber and airbnb about the spike in business. Its a city of over 1. 3 Million People but theyre expecting nearly 20 million visitors because of the world expo. With the wave of tourists milan is turning to the sharing economy to help ease concerns over possible lodging or transport shortages. Uber has seen a surge in the number of people applying to be drivers and is expecting a bomb in business. Theres over 300,000 people coming to our city. Theyre predicting 20 Million People. That means about 100,000 a day. So we expect the same kind of bump we saw about 30 increase in our business just in that weeks. But the company has seen the safe fair of difficulties. In march taxi drivers staged a protest against uber. We are clearly a Disruptive Company but what we do is we try to dialogue with the old and exiting transportation in the city today. What we explain is what we see in the u. S. Where were fully legalized and theres new regulation that the market gets bigger for everybody. Accommodation is an even bigger issue. This is where the Home Sharing Service airbnb hopes to cash in. Milan has 54,000 hotel rooms. Far short of whats needed. Airbnb has seen the number of its listings in milan double to 7,600. According to the company the number of books made in milan has increased four times or 293 . But away from the multibillion Dollar Companies you could choose to simply ride a bike. Milan has the 12th largest Bike Sharing Program with 3,600 bikes spread around the city but a word of warning its 15 kilometers from this spot and in this italian heat it could get sweaty. A little bit of buying here on the first day of may. The dow jones up 140 points in the premarket trade. The nasdaq now up 15 points in premarket. Could be a positive open as we kick off the first day of the month. But lets wrap up april and talk about volatility. Continued concerns about the sustain blt sustainability of corporate margins. The dow only seeing a gain of around. 4 in the month of april. Energy stocks the best performing sector in the month of april thanks so that rebound in oil prices. Crude gaining over 20 . It was a historic month for the nasdaq. It failed to hold that level and thats due to a mixed set of in evaluations. Its trading below again. Lets get a view with michael, president of bruin hill partners. Happy may to you. Thank you for joining us on Worldwide Exchange. Investors are supposed to sell in may and go away but it seems like the sell off came early. It did. I had highlighted in the past about how these pull backs were going to be continuously healthy for the market in particular. Something not as steep as the dax but here in the states the returns have been enormous and i still think theyre buying opportunities. The s p is going to be the 100 Day Moving Average we can test. Im not surprised we start and end last month with this type of movement. The volatility has proven theres a lot more selling to be done to take profits in these areas. You think stocks are headed higher . Youre not concerned about disappointing Economic Data. It was never anemic but the growth in the u. S. Economy is it needs to be better to implemented a rate hike and for those reasons the equity markets has taken that as positive news. Theres not been a big barrier so consistent economic disapproval here will shake the numbers up and then its a whole different ball game. Wed have to be in june and july and see these numbers month in and month out. European stocks have been outperforming the u. S. But european stocks just notch their worst quarterly month in the month of april. German stocks witnessing its first down. What are your thoughts on europe . Germany is starting to get to the point where their economic releases are also going to show theres problems and the reason is they have been holding on to too much pressure from the eyes of the consumer and investor. More in regards to countries like spain is where the value is trying to disperse into andit and spain could have a good summer. Do you think theyre becoming crowded and are vulnerable to a sharp reversal . Similar to what we saw. Absolutely. This is a scenario where everyone becomes a cook because theyre knowing the recipe oh so well. He learned it here from what happened in the u. S. And i think the qe story be it in asia and now here in europe were starting to notice theres a standard baseline on how markets are going to react and were well o months into that type of scenario and its the forecast here that shows how long they can keep that expectation. The Central Banks as a whole are trying to taper the expectations but its starting to show that the diminishing scenario could take a stop. Its a huchblg weekend for sports in the u. S. With a lot of money on the line. Floyd mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will faceoff. Yesterday is the Kentucky Derby which could see 100 million in revenue for Churchill Downs and 16 Million Viewers. Plus both the nhl and nba playoffs continued this weekend and its one of the oldest rivalries in history. Now with a jam packed weekend of sports ahead where are you put yourg money . A putting your money. His money is on mayweather American Pharoah in the derby and clips over spurs in game 7 of the nba playoffs. Get in touch with us here on worldwide action change. Most people are betting on mayweather over pac man and youre still with us from chicago. Who are you putting your money on . This fight has the type of revenue you could only dream of but it goes the distance because you have two veteran fighters. I definitely like mayweather in a decision. I think the Kentucky Derby since theres 20 hofrsrses you go with the long shot and in particular the nhl playoffs the excitement picks up. Its way too early in the baseball season and last when you talk about spurs, sorry, its only tottenham in my heart i would talk about. By the way, speaking of whats happening this weekend Floyd Mayweather is the richest sportsman in the world. Hes expected to earn 200 million. Maybe you should be in boxing and not trading wall street. A half a billion dollars he has to start trying to get his own hedge fund. Michael i want to get back to the markets. The move noot in the euro. Higher or lower from here. Its at 11296 and thats a near term ceiling or resistance for the market. It was a rather steep assent. I think we hold that level. I dont see the euro going through it just yet. Thank you. Have a great day. Up next is squawk box. Thanks for watching Worldwide Exchange. Exchange.
