Prosecuted. Because of the rigged system they probably will not be. Just like we found out about itse paid violent protesters was probably the dnc and the Clinton Campaign that put forward these liars with their fabricated stories. We will find out about their involvement at a later date through litigation and i look so over to doing that. The raking of the system is , to keepfor one reason the corrupt establishment and special interest in power at your expense and everybodys expense. I have no special interest but you. The american voter. Donald trump at his running mate might hence will be speaking at a rally in cleveland at seven 00 eastern time. We will have that for you live here on cspan. Inverage continues his pittsburgh. Hillary clinton is to appear with her running mate. This rally should be Getting Started in a you moments live on these bad. On cspan. We are live in pittsburgh for a hillary Clinton Campaign rally. She is appearing there this. Fternoon with her running mate while we wait for it to get started a portion of todays washington journal on the substance of recent wikileaks emails. They are here to talk about the latest Wikileaks Revelations and what some describe as a weaponization of wikileaks in campaign 2016. These leaks. Bout where are they coming from . Guest these are emails that have been allegedly stolen from Clinton Campaign chairman John Podestas email account. This is probably the work of russian intelligence. That has not been confirmed yet. It came out and was here in of the dncfact emails was the work of the russian government but not have said it was the same here necessarily. This is likely the same group, we are still somewhat cautious in making that attribution. Host what is wikileaks . Would they be interested interested in John Podestas email . Guest they are an antitransparency lot form. They believe in exposing power and corruption by producing mass trials of documents. It is an interesting organization. This is like talking about its founder, julian assange. Guy who is holed up at the Ecuadorian Embassy avoiding a rape charge. He has an ax to grind against hillary button. He has gotten quite a bit of criticism about how he managed to leaks over the years to there that he is happy to publish anything that fits his agenda or promotes his stature in the world. Who else have they targeted . Throughout this cycle we have seen them release the emails that were stolen from the dnc as well. One of the things you have heard critics say is this is somebody who is explicitly targeting democrats and the Clinton Campaign. Was seen as damaging to clinton. Host we are kidding talking to Katie O Williams about the latest batch of wikileaks emails that have been released over the last few weeks. You can join the discussion. Lets take a look at some of the things that wikileaks has released according to a russian the organization, has taken best of. Those involved her wall street speaking spirit a january 2016 email says she relationshipeat with thinkers any 2013 speech. She spoke of how more thought has to be given to the process of transactions and regulations so that we do not kill them or mame what work spirit we concentrate on the most effective way of moving forward with the brainpower and the most financial power that exist on wall street. Many of these emails involve some of the speeches she has given to wall street bankers. How big of a impact is this . Thing is thatst the content of the emails have not been confirmed. The Clinton Campaign has been very explicit that we are not going to comment on the stolen material. While these are being treated as accurate, given that the Clinton Campaign has not said, no nobody has said this, it is an important distinction to remember anything in this document. Regards to the content about wall street, that was one revelations from the documents that there were partial transcripts from her speeches to wall street that had been a big issue in the primary. There are some strategist that are saying this may have been more damaging had it come out in the primary, because it does appear to portray her as a little bit cozy with wall street , under some interpretations. Big things of the that sanders supporters were hitting her on early. Calling froms taught, North Carolina on the independent line. You are on with katie of the hill. Kind of discussion is there on the hill about using social media platforms to dictate to the representatives to the United States citizens desirous . Thise been trying to get conversation going for four years, along with using debit cards to track immigration, and make that a secure system. Is airheaded boom, can you elaborate on that . You are talking about wikileaks as a social media platform, i am not 100 sure that is an entirely accurate way of describing them. They are in operation that is run largely by a single guy. Julian assange will say he has hundreds of employees, or volunteers that are helping him thatminate these documents they are publishing, but if you talk to former employees, a largely sounds like it is a oneman shop. They do have a huge, huge social media following with, what i would say, are pretty active supporters that spend time defending the integrity of the organization. Politicallytalk about what these Wikileaks Revelations are having, the political impact. Florida senator, marco rubio who is running for reelection said, he told bbc news that republicans abc news that republicans are jumping on allegedly hacked emails released by wikileaks. He said he himself will not talk about them and urges republicans to follow suit. He said as our intelligent agencies have said, these leaks are in an effort to interfere with our electoral process and i will not indulge it. He said i want to warn my for the republicans who may want to capitalize politically on these leaks. Today it is the democrats, tomorrow it could be us. How potentially troublesome is it for those who are using these revelations . Guest that was a big deal of marco rubio coming out and it echoing the Clinton Campaign line. I think what you are seeing is a hardening of republican attitudes towards wikileaks. The biggest debate in washington is how to we talk about wikileaks . Do we talk about them like a journalistic outlet that is putting out content that is fair game to have any political discussion, or do we talk about them as a bullhorn for the russian government . And as the work of a single guy who has an ax. There is a lot of dispute about whether or not this is a true journalistic outlet, or whether or not this is an attempt by the russian government to interfere in the u. S. Election. Jean, you are on. Hello, i am a little confused. Gotdemocrats seem to have in the last refuge of the defense, which is the root the russians are trying to influence our election by publishing the emails. Looking out within them, it seems like their principal offense is basically exposing how the democrats and the press are conspiring to steal it. There is a of concern. I think from quite a few that the content of these emails themselves are not getting enough attention. A coupleou are seeing of Different Things happen here. Going onart of what is is, even though the content of these emails are being reported , the republican candidate himself has not really grabbed a hold of the individual allegations in these emails, and raise them to the level of a campaign issue. There is also some question about what interfere and the election actually means. When the u. S. Intelligence committee came out and said the dnc act is an attempt to interfere in the election, bid and offer any more details. They sort of left that open to interpretation. That does not. [laughter] [applause] there aint no mountain hyannis high enough. Aint no valley low enough. Aint no river wide enough to keep me from getting to you baby. Rain. Wind, no baby. Stop me just send for me oh baby. My love is alive deep down in my heart. Although we are miles apart. Senator kaine hillary, this energy must be a pittsburgh thing. Hillary and i are so glad to be with you this afternoon. We came right out of that Great Convention in philadelphia, and thea huge rally here at beginning of august. It is so great to be back together with 17 days to go to a wonderful victory. [applause] we are not taking anything for granted in the next 17 days. One of the things we want to do is ask for volunteers. Who is already volunteering . [applause] if you are not volunteering yet, and you have a lot of free time in the next 17 days, there are full going to row clipboards. You can sign up and text and they will bring you on board as we make history by electing Hillary Clinton as our president. [applause] hey, can i just ask how fantastic was hillary in the last debate . [applause] you are right, not just the last debate, all three debates. [applause] trump hadine donald been talking a lot about stamina, but boy, at the end of those debates, he really looked like he was on the ropes and hillary looks like she would have said yes if they said to do five more debate spirit she would have said, i am ready to go right now. [applause] when the debates finished, hillary was excited to get out and keep talking about her plans and vision for this country. Donald could not get wait to get back and tweak out more insults. [laughter] debateskaine those showed so much. They showed hillarys preparation and her experience and judgment. [applause] senator kaine i think what they really showed was the temperament, compassion, grace and poise that we want to see and our next president. [applause] senator kaine in fact, i think if you had even watched those debates with the sound off, you still would have known that there is only one person on this stage that we want to be president of the United States. [applause] you guys all know that pennsylvania does not vote until election day, but i want to tell you this. In states where early voting has already begun, we are already seeing huge spikes at the polls and activity behind our ticket. [applause] senator kaine support for the kaine ticket is surging, even in states fight arizona because americans have locked on and know that this election is about what kind of country we want for our children. They trust a stronger, together vision that hillary has laid out throughout this campaign. They have also seen the kind of campaign that donald trump has run. They are wondering how somebody who wants to be president of the United States is running a campaign that demonstrates almost every day, what a low opinion he has about the United States, and about the voters of the United States. [applause] anneor kaine my wife and i have a boy in the marines. Donald said our military is a disaster. Hillary got him to admit on the stage of the first debate that he does not even pay federal income taxes to support americas troops. Likes to trash talk where the economy is, but we found out productsall of his overseas, and he has wrought chinese deal and aluminum to build his hotels, as that of buying American Steel right here in pennsylvania. Products , heseas, and hefor some bizarrn leadersauthoritarian like vladimir putin, every chance he gets. He even promises that he will seek political and legal retribution against his enemies if he is president. Maybe he is running for something else. During the last debate he even warned that he might not accept the result of american democracy or it democracy. [booing] it was like, he ran a campaign, and he insulted every group he could. Mexican, immigrants, africanamericans, women, pows, gold star familys and he has insulted every possible group who is left to insult or what he has decided is why dont i of americanillars democracy. We cannot let this guy be president. [applause] senator kaine i do not know if you have heard this thing, because he seems to really like to say this thing, especially when he is in pennsylvania, that the election is going to be rigged. Losing, and he knows it, and he is not a guy who would ever accept responsibility and election because i run the most Divisive Campaign in american history. He will not accept responsibility so it has to be somebody elses fault, just like when the apprentice did not win an emmy award one year. He said it was clearly rigged. This guy cannot take responsibility for anything, anything. Khan,k it proves that mr. The virginia from charlottesville, the captain of his son who was killed who was protecting his colleagues. Mr. Khan had the right to ask the question if mr. Trump had even read the rights of the constitution. [applause] i know we all think thats has been a long election season, and you can hear from my voice that i has been a long election season and i only joined and the last 100 days. She has had to do it for two years. I know that sometimes, and this is unfortunate and a challenge that we have to embrace, should we have the honor of winning and serving. Sometimes a can seem like during this election cycle that we are that oure worst country has to offer. Lets remind ourselves and feel good that we are also seeing something special, something good about our country and that is what brings you here tonight. [applause] senator kaine we are seeing something that does not get nearly enough. It was right here in pennsylvania that hillary and i accepted the nomination of the democratic party. You guys put us on our way. [applause] after sheator kaine finished her acceptance speech on that thursday night, that powerful night, the Clinton Kaine families walked out on the stage with that massive use of balloons. We have some fans of the blooms here. Ons here. Lo as we were standing on that stage, i saw my 21yearold daughter trying to take and what it meant. , wife of 32e anne years come november 4, who has been with me through thick and thin, trying to take it all in. Who is 82, who was standing on stage and turned to me as the balloons were coming said, tim, this is the best night of my life. [applause] senator kaine at least for the got noy and a half i criticisms or suggestions. I bought myself a little window that night. [laughter] senator kaine as i was standing everyone,h something really started to hit home. I have been thinking about this the entire campaign. I have been in Public Service for 22 years since i ran for the Richmond Council and one my first race at the landslide of 97 votes. Let me tell you something, i would not have gotten very far, in fact, i would not have gotten into my first Office Without a whole lot of really amazing amazing women who have let me their strength on long the way so that i could be the candidate and have my name on a bumper sticker, on a yard sign, or on the ballot. [applause] senator kaine that night in i was notia, just thinking about the love and support of strong women in my family, i was also thinking about Women Campaign managers, cabinet secretaries, it staff, and i was thinking about women voters who have enabled me to serve. Lets not forget, beginning with the president ial election of 1964, in every president ial election, women have made up the majority of the american electorate. [applause] in other words, while i am probably no more free of patting myself on the back than anybody in politics, if i really think about it, i know i have only gotten in the position of leadership and responsibilities because i have had a lot of strong women who are willing to support me so that i could be the person getting the headline and doing the job. So, when hillary asks me three months ago today, the 22nd of july if i would be her running mate, i was honored to have the chance to play the role for her that so many strong women have played for me. [applause] now, make no mistake, women in america have come an awful long way. 50 years ago women could not even get a credit card without a man to cosign for them. They needed a husbands permission to start a business, they needed a husbands permission to cosign to rent. N apartment in some states women were barred from serving on juries. We have come a long way, but so much of the progress that we have made comments progress we should made, progress we should fill good about is at stake in this election. Instead of turning back the clock on women, like donald trump was to do, we should be doing everything to keep pushing forward. [applause] because folks, it is 2016, isnt it time that women were paid the same wages and salary as men . [applause] isnt it time that women should be able to take off work to care for a child or relative without losing their job . [applause] not tellaine i did hillary does, hillary i win out and shook some hands of folks that were not able to come in because you guys turned out in such numbers that people were outside. A Woman Holding a three and a halfyearold daughter in her arms, i said, tell me about your daughter and she said, when my bought ducks when might when my daughter was born i got fired from my job because there was no maternity leave. She started to cry. This was three and a half years ago. We made a commitment that we would do something about that, not just for women, women and men should be able to take off time when their kids are born, or to care for a sick parent. [applause] i told her, you may not be able to get into the rally, but because he said that hillary and i will have even more energy, because this is one of the things we need to fix it. After 240 years of american history, isnt it about time that a woman can serve as president of the United States and be commanderinchief . [applause] senator kaine of course its time. Of course its time. Of course its time. Of course its time. Guess what . [applause] [chanting hillary] senator kaine i think you can tell from the reaction that it is not only strong women, but also strong men who feel that now is the time. Now is the time. [applause] senator kaine now is the time. Is there anybody out in this audience who has tried to do something for the first time . In your house, in your family, in your neighborhood, maybe in your work lays, in the school in the work place, in the school, maybe try to do something that has not been done before . Is there anybody out there where you have tried to do that and you have had people say to you, i do not think that will happen, or i do not think the time is right for you . Else is more qualified, or somebody elses ahead of you. Sometimes the voice that says that to you is the voice of an adversary who wants to get in your way, and times it is the says dontfriend who get your hopes up, i dont want you to be disappointed. Sometimes that voice is not even an external, it is a voice inside because we all carry doubt inside of us. And at that moment when we are most at a reach for our dreams, that voice were it says it is not your time, whether from the outside or the inside kicks in. Everybody knows this, everybody has experienced this. Let me tell you something about Hillary Clinton. She has heard that her entire life. Time is not right, if you will be in this profession that is more for guys. She has heard this her entire life. She has heard it repeatedly during this campaign. She has heard it during this campaign. Guess what, Hillary Clinton has never let that voice stand in her way. [applause] senator kaine she has never let it stand in her way. And as your next president , Hillary Clinton is not going to let anyone stand in your way. She will not let anyone stand in your way. , hillarysabout this mom was born before women had the right to vote, and hillarys daughter chelsea will now get to vote for her mom to be president. [applause] kindor kaine that is the of generational progress that this country holds for all of us when we do our best work. That is why we have to do our best to work for the next 17 days. ,ecause in just 17 short days we can forever, and i mean little, change the way girls and little boys look at their future in this country. If you can be president of the United States, you can do anything. sat is what Hillary Clinton election [applause]. Thetor kaine that is message Hillary Clintons election will send. I am proud to be a strong man supporting a strong woman who be that who will be the next president of the United States. She will show an america that we really are, stronger together, please join me in welcoming our next president , Hillary Clinton. [applause] secretary clinton thank you. [applause] [chanting hillary] wow. Tary clinton it is so great to be back here in pittsburgh. [applause] secretary clinton i do not think it gets any better than to be accompanied out onto the stage by dan and pat rooney. [applause] i am a biglinton admirer of the rooney family and i was so honored to serve with dan when he was our in bassett or to ireland. [applause] family kaine the rooney commitment to pittsburgh is really extraordinary. It is not just the amazing commitment to the steelers. [applause] secretary clinton as special as ,hat is, but to their roots what they believe in, their values, and their deep concern for future generations. Humbled to bey pat and the dan and rooney family. I also want to thank congressman mike doyle. Executiveand county Richard Fitzgerald who is here. Adoto. Bill put jud mayor john federman. Pennsylvania attorney general bruce beemer. Other elected officials, it means a lot for you to be here with us. If all goes well in 17 days, we are looking forward to working with you on behalf of pittsburgh. [applause] some of youinton know that i have a special place in my heart for pennsylvania, and i am excited about helping, forny way that we can, pittsburgh, Allegheny County, and western pennsylvania to keep moving forward with confidence and optimism about what is possible for the future we want to create together. I am thrilled to be here with tim kaine. [applause] i asked himinton to be my running mate because i knew he would be one of the smartest, toughest, most qualified Vice President s have ever had. [applause] i also knewinton he had never lost an election. [applause] secretary clinton i kind of figured that might rub off on me a little bit. That i have gotten to spend more time with him, and with his wonderful wife anne and their family, i am even more confident that he will be such an extraordinary leader for our country. He is not just smart, tough and as goodd, tim kaine is and decent a person as you will ever meet. [applause] secretary clinton i am deeply honored to have him by my side in this campaign. By all ofare excited the energy and enthusiasm we are seeing across the country, particularly here in pennsylvania. [applause] both of us,inton unlike our opponent do not believe we can do this alone. We believe that we will do this i working with all of you. And that we are going to come vote. Issue you carer about, its going to be on the ballot. It may not be listed, but it will be on the ballot. Whether you care about new, good jobs with a rising incomes or you care about better education or you care about what we can do to get the cost of prescription drugs down, what ever it is you care about, it is literally going to be on that ballot. My name and tims name might be ballot, but we will be representing everything that we can do that you hope for our country. And were going to need help doing that after the election, and that is why i hope you will do everything you can to elect Katie Mckenzie your next senator. Know, katie is the daughter of a Philadelphia Police officer. I think she is one of 10 children, right . One of 10 children. She has devoted her professional protecting working families. I have known her now for more than 20 years, when she was really young, and i have seen that same cando spirit to read she gets up every day, what can she do to fight for healthier neighborhoods, to keep our kids and healthy, to fight for cleaner air and cleaner water, to help people make the most out of their own lives. Now she is running for the senate, because like tim and i, she believes our economy should work for everyone, not just those at the top. Katie is exactly the kind of partner we need in the senate. She is exactly the kind of senator western Pennsylvania Needs in the senate. We have got to get things done for the people of pennsylvania and america and katie will help us break through the gridlock, make a difference in peoples lives, guarantee equal pay for women, defending planned parenthood. I think it is pretty clear when you look at katies opponent he still refuses to stand up to donald trump. Booing]e lot ofnton a republicans have. They have had the grit to stand up and say he does not represent me. [applause] but pat toomey attack a grieving gold star family who lost their son in iraq, he heard donald called mexican immigrants rapists, he heard him say terrible things about women, he heard him spread the lie that our first black president wasnt howborn in america much more does pat toomey need to hear . Doesnt have the courage to stand up to donald trump after all this, can you be sure he will stand up for you when it counts against powerful interests . [applause] know, when i look at this, im thinking to myself, we have work to do in washington. And i know its not easy. I understand we have real challenges. I believe we can do it. I would not be standing here, tim would not be with me [applause] people in washington who put you first, who get up every day thinking about middleclass families, who worry about where you are going to get the money to send your kids to college, how you are going to take care of your mum or dad because they are failing and what are you going to do for them . How are you going to deal with all of the challenges . That is what i try to do my entire life. That is who you should be electing, people who care about you, your families, your children. Now, as tim said, he asked if any of you watched the debate on wednesday. Well, i will tell you, that was the third and last time i will ever have to debate donald trump. [cheering] ms. Clinton [laughs] think about this. I have now spent four and a half hours on stage with donald, proving once again i have the stamina to be president. [cheering] every onen and after of those debates, people have said, how did you do that . And really, you just have to be cheer. Be of good you are in front of 50, 60, 70, 80 million people. So, no matter what he would say, i just kept thinking, of all the people i have met throughout this Campaign Just early today ive met henry over there. Henry is on top of his dads shoulders, and henry gave me a note saying he hoped i would be president , and you know, i really want to be president for all of the kids in america to do. Verything i can to help you [audience chanting hillary] you know, i also did have a chance to talk about important concerns people have shared with me. From the first day i started this campaign back in april 20 15, people have been telling me what is on their minds, and it honors the greatest you know, sometimes it is just bleeding. I will be in a coffee shop shaking hands or i will come down and shake hands on a rope line, just running into somebody. And that person, that man or woman or that young person takes into my to stop, looks eyes. I can tell they are trying to take my measure, and i am grateful that they take their vote, their choice of seriously, and then they might Say Something like, i have a really terrible problem in my family. My son or my daughter has gotten addicted to opiates or to heroin. What are you going to do about it . Or maybe they will say, my brother has schizophrenia, and we cant afford to get him the kind of consistent care he needs. Or maybe they will say, i am a diabetic. And the drug company has just raised the cost of insulin, and i cant afford it. What are you going to do about it . That is the right question to anybody running for president , because at the end of the day, this is about you. Are said the other not, we going to invest in the middle class. We are going to grow this economy from the middle out and the bottom up, not the top down. [cheers and applause] and we are going to make sure that we produce a enough good jobs with rising incomes so that every single person, especially every single young person in america can go as far as your hard work and talent will take you. I believegot to say, in hard work. That is how i was raised. I believe youve got to work for what you get in life. But i think we have to not down some of the barriers that stand in the way of people getting ahead and going as far as they should. Starts by believing in our country. You know, there has been no other place in the history of the world that has given so much opportunity to so many . Do we have problems . We have problems. Do we have challenges . Of course we do. We are human beings. There is no more blessed place. In donald trump said something the other night that no other president ial nominee has ever done of either party. He refused to say he would respect the results of this election. [audience booing] mistakeson make no about this, my friends. He is threatening our democracy. Look, i have lost elections. You dont feel very good the next day, believe me. But we know in our country the difference between leadership and dictatorship, right . [cheers and applause] you know, the peaceful transition of power is one of those things that sets us apart, and whether you support , wer my opponent together must show we support american democracy. And i believe both donald trump and i should be grateful for the opportunities that our country has given us. And the best way to demonstrate that we support our democracy is to turn out and vote. And there is an inspiring story being written by people across america right now. We have just reached a milestone, more than 200 million americans are registered to vote in this election. And you know what . 50 more than 50 million young people. More than ever before. I find that a very hopeful sign. And here in pennsylvania, hundreds of thousands of more voters are registered then were in 2012. What does this tell us . No matter tells us how much negativity is out there, something exciting is happening right now. Together oming democrats, republicans, independents all to reject hate and division. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton and in the states where they can, people are motivated to vote early and embrace a future where every person counts, everyone has a place, everyone can contribute. You see, despite what donald trump may think, most americans really believe we can do better. Most americans really believe women should be respected. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton most americans really believe that workers should be paid fairly [cheers and applause] most americans believe that the United States should work with our allies to lead the world and keep us safe. The energy we see in the final weeks of this campaign is about more than winning an election. It is about standing up to the kind of country that we want for ourselves and our children. And it is for the lessons we want to teach our sons and daughters. I want you to know, if tim and i are fortunate enough to be your president and Vice President , we will work with everyone. Now i imagine here in Allegheny County and if you are from further west, you probably know people who are thinking about voting for donald trump. And here is what i want you to tell them. I want you to tell them that i understand that they need a president who cares about them, i wantsten to them, and to be their president , too. Because whether you agree or disagree with me, whether you vote for me or vote against me, i believe we can disagree without being disagreeable. I have seen that. I know it can happen. I know there are a lot of people here in pennsylvania who have a lot of questions. They want to know, how do we move forward better. About their know town where there are not as many jobs. They are upset what they see around them. I get that. But anger is not a plan. [applause] and we need we need to work together. We need plans that will help us deal with the legitimate concerns and questions people have in pennsylvania. I think that is what our whole country needs right now. I am not going to pretend that we can snap our fingers and solve our problems. That does not happen in the real world. The choice we face in this is stark, especially when it comes to the economy. Tim and i believe when the middle class thrives, america thrives, and when we invest in Small Businesses we can make the work again for everybody. I think it is fair to say that both donald trump and pat toomey have a different perspective. They believe and they believe this if you give trillions of dollars and they mean of tax cuts t millionaires, billionaires, corporations, it will all trickle down. It has not worked before and it has caused us a lot of messes we have had to clean up, and i have been privileged to see president s up close and personal right. Married one, thats right. Worked for one. And here is what i know. Helping theus on middle class, you end up lifting everybody. When you focus on helping the top, you help the top. That is not good enough. Say he is on the side of american workers, but his actions tell a different story. Yes, he bought cheap chinese steel and aluminum for his construction projects. He should be buying Good Americanmade steel that supports Good American jobs. [cheers and applause] i would like to hear donald a claim to american explain tos American Steelworkers filing for unemployment why he put chinese Steel Workers to work, instead of steelworkers here in pennsylvania. And for all his talk about putting america first, he has made many of his products in 12 different countries. If he wants to make America Great again, why doesnt he start by making things in america . We now know he hasnt paid a dime and federal income taxes for years. He says that makes him smart. Well, i dont know how smart you have to be to lose a billion dollars in a year in the first place. Especially answer me this how do you lose a billion dollars when you are in the casino business . Never could figure that out. What it means is every one is paying more in federal income taxes than a billionaire has. That is wrong and we will end of those kinds of loopholes and gimmicks. I will tell you what. It also means donald has contributed zero zero for our military, zero for our vets, 04 held grants to help young people go to college, zero four hour ourways zero for everything. Ro for and yet he stands up on stage and criticizes america. Its wrong. With your help, we will make the biggest investment in new job since world war ii, jobs and infrastructure. Our roads, our bridges, our tunnels, our ports, our Water Systems all need help, and those are a lot of good jobs, jobs that cant be exported out of pennsylvania. [cheers and applause] i believe we can bring advanced manufacturing back to the United States. That is why we will invest 10 billion in a make it in America Partnership that brings together workers and unions and businesses, universities, community colleges. Are going to take the lead with precision machineries. Some countries went to take the lead with 3d printing. We invented both of those technologies. We should take the lead and we should have the jobs. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton we are also going to fight on the change with clean, Renewable Energy jobs. And we are going to help Small Businesses which will create two thirds of all of the jobs in america. And we are going to defend your bargain collectively for higher wages and benefits. Dont let anybody fool you, my friends. Assault on Worker Rights and unions is an assault on the middle class. It is time to say loudly and clearly, right to work is wrong for workers and wrong for america. [cheers and applause] have set someo, i big goals. I am excited about what we are going to do. And its all going to put people to work right here. And sometimes folks say to me, how are you going to get that done . Go to the congress first, i hope we will elect some or democrats. That will be job number one. Number two, i think it will be a very symbol question. Our members of congress, members of the senate going to be on the side of the rich, the powerful, and the wealthy, or on your side . And you know what . They are going to have to answer that question. If they stay beholden to the special interest, if they continue to do the bidding of the lobbyist and lawyers and others who stand outside their doors i have been in the senate. I have seen it. I know it. If they are going to continue to arehe work of those who already privileged in america, then i want to make sure that they dont come back to washington after the next election. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton we are in a great, Great High School here. I am so proud to be here. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton and so, we are going to be a good partner with education, especially with educators. We are going to start with universal prek. We are going to start with good schools with good teachers so every kid gets a worldclass education. I want us to bring Technical Education back to high school. I think it was a mistake when we took it out. Are a lot of good jobs that you can be prepared for in coming out ofy high school, maybe community college, going into an apprenticeship program, and i want to lift up that work. A Fouryear College degree should not be and is not the only way to have a good job with the rising income and a satisfying life. We are going to make public colleges and universities tuition free for any families making less than 125,000 a year. And we are going to help you pay down your college debt. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton its going to be. Reat to help you pay it back as a percentage of your income at your job, so you are never on the hook for more than you can afford. I worked on this with senator bernie sanders, and its going to help save [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton its going to help save people thousands of dollars. In fact after a year, maybe after you are here you can go m calculatorinton. Co to see how much your family can save. We want you to know we are going to deliver results for you. Pretty ultimately its sampled. I think the American Dream is big enough for everybody and i want everybody to have your chance to get your piece of the American Dream. So, theres a lot of work we are going to be doing. We need to raise the National Minimum wage. People who work fulltime should not be mired in poverty. We are going to guarantee equal pay for women. You know [cheers and applause] look, its not just a womans issue. If you have a mother, which all of us do if you have a mother, a wife, a sister who is working, its your issue, too. The entireor economy. So, my friends, there is a lot a lot for us to do and the next 17 days. Weve got to get the word out. Weve got to tell everybody what we are doing and why this election is so critically important and that is where all of you all of you come in. If you do know people who are thinking about voting for our you may. , well i hope you will stage an intervention. [laughter] [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton and i do hope you will talk about, you know, the reality versus the demagoguery of what we have seen in this campaign. You know, we need to come together around all of the issues that are important to everybody and i said in the beginning, whatever issued you care about, its going to be on the ballot. I care a lot about making sure that women and girls are treated with dignity and respect. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton i care a lot about making sure that we save Social Security and we ensure that everybody has the benefits that they need in order to be able to live a decent life in retirement. And, boy, do i care a lot about our constitution. I went to 112 countries as you are secretary of state as your secretary of state. People who int of the us because we have been so steady and so committed to our constitutional system and our values, and what i hope is that you care as deeply as our as our parents and grandparents did, because maybe they came from somewhere else where they werent treated right. Maybe they saw firsthand what it meant to be deprived of the rule of law. You know, every time donald trump says he was to jail his opponent, meaning me, i think to myself, you know, we dont do that in america. We actually have laws and courts and an independent judiciary. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton or, you know, when orblows up at a journalist criticizes the press and goes on and on and on. You know, i get criticized by the press. [laughter] i know that is part of our democratic system. We believe in a free press. And boy, if you go to countries where there isnt one, you will understand why that is the ordinance why that is so important. And when he says there should be a religious test a religious ,est for people at our borders a country founded on religious freedom, you have to ask yourself, who is going to conduct the test . [laughter] we going to get a quiz . What if the Border Security official does not believe you . Who gets to decide whether you get to come in or out based on your religion . If you havent seen it yet, i hope you will go and look at the extraordinary statement by mr. New videoutube in a that we have put out. Remember, he pulled out a constitution at our convention. Constitution. Our and for good reason. Acause he, too, came from place where the was no rule of law to speak of. So, whatever issue you care that, this is an issue will be decided by this election, and that is why im reaching out to republicans, democrats, independents, everyone. I know if we bring our talent, our energy, and our ambition to the work of building our country, we are going to see the best days of america ahead of us, and when your children and your grandchildren ask what you did in 2016 when everything was on the line, i hope you will say you voted for a better america. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton so, here we go. Just remember youve got to get out and vote, youve got to get everybody you know to get. Ut and vote if you do not know where to vote, please go to iwi llvote. Com. It is the magic of the internet. Are will tell you where you supposed to vote. You can take your phone out and 47246, and if we can get all of you and everybody involved in this next 17 days, i will tell you this it is easy to forget how far our country has come. There are a lot of people here as i said, whose parents and whosents came as parents and grandparents came here as immigrants. In his teens, he worked there until he retired at the age of 65. He believed in our country. He believed in the kind of future he could get through his hard work. That is what i want everybody in our country to believe again. We are going to unleash the talent, the innovation, the energy that brought people like but whichther here, we will harness for the future. Dont let anybody tell you americas best days are behind us. Dont believe that for a minute. [cheers and applause] ms. Clinton we are going to pull together. We are going to make it clear optimism, dence and respect for each other, bringing folks together who may disagree but can find Common Ground is what has always worked and it will work again. Help us. Help us create that kind of future, and help us prove once and for all that love trumps hate. Thank you all. Our campaign 2016 coverage of state races continues this coming week with the Pennsylvania Senate debate between pat toomey and democratic challenger katie mcginty. As you can see on your screen, coming up in about 40 minutes, 7 p. M. Eastern time, a Campaign Event in cleveland, ohio. Republican president ial candidate donald trump and his running mate mike pence. They will be speaking at a rally in cleveland. We will bring that to you live here on cspan. In his weekly radio address, the president talks about the airline industry. He also discusses the federal governments role in airline information. Thom tillis says the republican response, giving his reaction to the Health Care Law under the obama administration. Everybody. Bama hi, i will be honest with you. One of the best parts of being president is having your own really nice lady. And im going to miss it a lot. Up until i ran for this office, i was mainly flying coach, so i know what a pain the process can be from searching for the best prices to that feeling you get when the baggage carousel stops and yours still has not come out. All take pride in getting us to our destination safely and on time. They do good work and we are proud of them. It i think we all know the system can work a little bit better for everybody. And that is why over the last eight years, my administration has taken common sense steps to do just that. We put in place rules that virtually eliminated excessive delays on the tarmac. We required airlines to give travelers more flex ability on cancellations, to provide refunds to anyone who cancels within 24 hours of purchase and to give you compensation if you were bumped off your flight
