Job, i will use the executive powers of the presidency. Applause]d Bernie Sanders i do not want to see people like catherine look at the television and see their parents arrested. I do not want to see families broken up, the function of Immigration Reform is to unite families, not divide them. [cheers and applause] Bernie Sanders let me say this. I know that in our country, not with my viewses on Immigration Reform. We are a democracy. People have different points of view. What is not acceptable manner what your point of view is is to throw racist attacks against mexicans [cheers and applause] Bernie Sanders the reason donald trump on the be elected American People will not accept insults to mexicans, muslims, or women. [cheers and applause] the American People will not accept a president who insults our veterans. [cheers and applause] or who several years ago led the socalled birther effort which was an ugly, ugly attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the presidency of barack obama. [cheers and applause] and now, you can agree with the president , you can disagree, that is democracy but do not tell me he is not the legitimate president of this country. [cheers and applause] when we talks and about racism in america, and i always find it interesting, president obamas father was born in kenya. My father was born in poland but nobody asked me for my birth certificate. [cheers and applause] Bernie Sanders and i think it has to do with the fact that my skin color is little bit different than the president. I am a member of the senate. Ommittee on the environment talk toht scientists all of the world. Climate change is real. [cheers and applause] is caused by human activity, and let me tell you what the scientists are telling us. And that is if we do not get our act together in the very near future, we are not going to leave a planet for our kids and grandchildren which is healthy and that is unacceptable. [cheers and applause] it is literally beyond belief that we have a Major Political party, the Republican Party which rejects science, refuses to acknowledge even the reality of climate change. Together, we are going to take on a fossil fuel industry, transform our energy. We can create millions of good by moving to Energy Efficiency and sustainable energy. My republican colleagues run all over the country talking about family values. I want you to know what they mean by family values. What they mean is no woman in this room has the right to control her own body. I disagree. What they mean by family values is that our gay brothers and sisters do not have the right to marry. I disagree. Jane and i have been married for 27 years. [cheers and applause] and we believe in family. But when we talk about family ending what we mean is the embarrassment of the United States being the only major country on earth not to provide paid family and medical leave. [cheers and applause] today in america, a woman in the state of america or my state of vermont is giving birth. If she is a workingclass woman or a lower income women, in all likelihood, she will have to go back to work in one week or two weeks, separating herself from her baby in order to earn income to take care of her family. No mother should have to be separated from her baby because she lacks necessary income. And that is why, together, we are going to pass three months paid family and medical leave. [cheers and applause] one of the important jobs of a president of the United States is to conduct sane, effective foreign policy. Importantt foreignpolicy of our time. The war in iraq. Closely to what president bush and cheney had to say. And i did not believe them and voted against that war. [cheers and applause] unfortunately, secretary clinton. Oted for that war and let me make this pledge to you. Yes, we will destroy isis, but we will do it in a way that does not involve our men and women in s involvement. [cheers and applause] our men and women in the military will not be involved in perpetual warfare in the middle east. [cheers and applause] now, i have been criticized for saying this, so let me say it again. I believe that human beings are entitled to certain inalienable rights. And we have a constitution that grants us and it is a great document, a lot of political rights. But i believe we have got to go further than that. I believe that we have got to guarantee our people economic rights. [cheers and applause] because i remember the great leader, dr. Martin luther king, junior. When he led the great march on washington in 1963, it was called the mod march for jobs and freedom. Jobs and freedom. Died, your number when he died, when he was at asinated, it was not civil rights demonstration. He was standing up with exploited sanitation workers in memphis, tennessee. And he understood and i agree not to be truly free, you need Economic Security as well. Now, it turns out that every , germany, try on earth united kingdom, france, holland, scandinavia, canada, every major health careantees to all of its people. [cheers and applause] if elected president , i will do my best to have the United States join the rest of the industrialized world, health care for all. Now, what this campaign is about again is thinking out side of the status quo. You do not have to accept the status quo. We can do better. Do not let people tell you that you cannot think big. Now, i am a member of the committee that helped write the Affordable Care act. It has done a lot of good things. We should be proud of that and proud of president obamas leadership on that. [applause] but we stills have twain 9 million americans uninsured. Many of you are underinsured with large copayments and deductibles. Us are getting ripped off without mercy by the greed of the pharmaceutical industry. They are charging us by far the highest prices in the world for prescription drugs. People are dying. People are dying in this country because they cannot afford the medicine they need. That is unacceptable. And after all of that, after all of that, we ended spending far more per capita on health care than any other people. Together, we must fight to make sure that we pass a medicare for all health care system. Now, i do not understand why if canada can do it, the u. K. Can do it, france can do it, all these other countries can do it, we can do it. [cheers and applause] and i do want to give you another example. Software as a nation we have got to think outside of the box. For 100 plus years, we have had three public educate free Public Education in this country from first grade to 12th grade. The world has changed. The economy has changed. People today need more education. [cheers and applause] the simple truth is that today in many respects, a College Degree is the equal length of what a High School Degree was 50 years ago. And that is why i believe we have got to make public colleges tuitionfree. Es this is not a radical idea. It exists in germany, scandinavia, other countries. If they can do it, we can do it. [cheers and applause] and the other related issue we have got to do with is the outrageous level of student debt in this country. When you think about we tell young people you have to go out and get the best education you can for yourselves, for the country, and yet, millions of are 30,000, 50,000 in debt because they got an education. That is great crazy. Now, i find it interesting that when wall street with their greed and illegal behavior crashed, congress bailed them out. Should impose we speculationl street and use that revenue to make public colleges and universities tuition free. Everybody here understands what important historical fact, and change change, real never takes place from the top on down. Takes place from the grassroots on up. [cheers and applause] [crowd chanting] workers 100 plus years ago said they would not be treated like animals and they struggled and upt to jail and were beaten unionsin order to form and get collective bargaining. Thats how we fight for workers rights. [applause] africanreds of years, americans and their white allies struggled together to end racism and bigotry and segregation in america. [applause] those changes did not take place from the top on down. It was blacks and whites standing together and saying, we racism in thet United States of america. Forget but 100 years ago, women in america did not have the right to vote. Could not get the education they wanted. Could not do the jobs they wanted. Is peopleappened looked around them and they said, hey, in america, we will not accept women being treated as secondclass citizens. It is going to change. [cheers and applause] if we were here seven years ago, 10 years ago, and somebody said, you know what, i think a merry gay marriage will be legal in every state in this country by. 015 nobody would have believed it, but it happened, and it happened because the Gay Community and their straight allies said that in america, people have the right to love whoever they want. If we were in this room five ago, and summary jumped up and said, you know, bernie, i think this 7. 25 minimum wage is a starvation wage, we have got to raise it to 15 bucks an hour, the person next to them would say youre nuts, you want to double the minimum wage, that is crazy. Cant happen. You know what happened, fast food workers at mcdonalds and burger king when out on strike went out on strike. Backstood up and fought and then, you know what happened . Seattle, 15 bucks an hour. [cheers and applause] francisco, los angeles, 15 bucks an hour. [cheers and applause] argan, 15 bucks an hour an hour. 5 bucks and that 15 in our movement is sweeping the country. But heres my point. The most important point. Do not settle for the status quo when the status quo is broken. Dont tell me that we cannot have a political system in which we have one of the highest voter. Urnout rates in the world that we have to have the highest rate of childhood poverty in the industrialized world when we a proliferation of millionaires and billionaires. We can change that. Do not tell me that veterans in this country have to sleep out on the street. We can change that. [cheers and applause] that in america we have to be the only major country that does not guarantee health care or paid family leave [indiscernible] we can make real change. Change if theyke divide us up. What trump is about and other demagogues have always been about is scapegoating minorities , turning one group against another group. But we are too smart to fall for that. So if we stand together as black and white and latino and asian and native american as gay and straight, men and women, if we born ingether as people america, people who came to standountry, if we together, there is nothing we cannot accomplish. [cheers and applause] [crowd chanting bernie ] next week, ers arizona has a very important election. We will win. [cheers and applause] we will win of the voter turnout is high. Lets make it high. Thank you all very much. [cheers and applause] [captions Copyright National cable satellite corp. 2014] [captioning performed by the national captioning institute, which is responsible for its caption content and accuracy. Let the children use it gie ll the children boob Hillary Clinton spoke to supporters in palm beach, florida after winning that primary. Mrs. Clinton was the winner in ohio, and north carolina. Her remarks in 15 minutes. Hillary clinton thank you. Thank you so much. Hank you [cheers and applause] clinton thank you seven much. I tell you, this is another super tuesday for our campaign. Thank you, florida, thank you, north carolina, thank you, ohio. You know, although we are waiting for final results in illinois and missouri, we know we will add to our delegates le over 2oughly 300 with million more votes. We are moving closer to securing the Democratic Party nomination and winning this election in november. [cheers and applause] you know, because of all of you and our supporters across the country, our campaign has earned more votes than any other candidate, democrat or republican. [cheers and applause] and i want to congratulate senator sanders for the Vigorous Campaign he has been waging. You in the all of states were contests were held bothe to break down the barriers that hold us all back, so everyone of us can share in the promise of america. For our tomorrow to be better than our yesterday. Tomorrow where all of us do our part and everyone has a chance to live up to his or her godgiven potential. [cheers and applause] because that is how america can live up to its potential, too. Now we need you to keep working, keep volunteering, keep country reading at hillaryclinton. Com. Please join the 950,000 supporters who already have contributed. Most less than 100 because our campaign depends on small donations for the majority of our support. We cannot do this without you, so if you have been waiting for the right moment, now is the time to come join us. [cheers and applause] you know, tonight it is clearer than ever that this may be one of the most consequential campaigns of our lifetime. The next president will walk into the oval office next january, sit down at the desk, and start making decisions that will affect the lives and the livelihoods of everyone in this country, engage everyone on this planet. Know that easy decisions do not make it to the president s desk. Only the hardest choices and the thorniest albums. I saw president wrestle with the decision to send navy seals after osama bin laden, the decision to rescue the auto industry, to fight for the Affordable Care act, and so many more. And so, our next president has to be ready to face three big tasks. First, can you make positive differences in peoples lives. Safe . , can you keep a third, can you bring our country together again . Now, making differences in peoples lives comes first because americans everywhere are hungry for solutions. They want to break down the Barriers Holding the back so we can all rise together. Ask any parent. You will hear nothing is more important than making sure their kids have a good school at a good teacher, no matter what zip code they live in. They deserve a president who understands that when we invest in our childrens education, we are investing in all of our futures. And young people across america struggling under the weight of student debt find it difficult to imagine the futures they want and they deserve a president who will help relieve them of that burden and help future generations go to College Without borrowing a dime for tuition. And, you know, grandparents who worry about retirement deserve the president who will protect and then expand Social Security for those who need it most. Not cut or privatize it. President whove a will fight for the things that our priorities at home that to our fin are not parties in washington. A formal childcare, paid family leave, and something we have waited for long enough, equal pay for equal work. And above all, hardworking americans across our country deserve a president with both the ideas and the knowhow to create good jobs with rising incomes right here in our country. And i am absolutely convinced that we have the tools to do that. That is why i have laid out the program to do what can be done. More good jobs and infrastructure. More good jobs and manufacturing. More good jobs in Small Businesses. Jobs and clean, renewable energy. Good paying jobs are the ticket to the middle class and we are going to stand up for the american middle class again. We are going to stand up for American Workers and make sure no one takes advantage of us, not china, not wall street, and not overpaid corporate executives. Now, look. Of course, every candidate, every candidate makes promises like this. But every candidate owes it to you to be clear and direct about what our plans will cost and how we are going to make them work. That is the difference between running for president and being president. And i will tell you hillary ]ing Hillary Clinton the second big test is keeping us safe. Protecting Americas National security can never be an afterthought. Our commanderinchief has to be able to defend our country, not to embarrass it. Engage our allies, not alienate them. Defeat our adversaries, not embolden them. When we care, a candidate for upsident called for rounding rounding up running up immigrants, banning muslim, when embraces torture, that does not make him strong, that makes him wrong. [cheers and applause] and yes, our next president has to your country together so we can all share in the promise of america. We should be breaking down barriers, not building walls. We are not going to succeed by dividing this country between us and them. You know, to be great, we cannot be small. We cannot lose what made America Great in the first place. And this is not just about donald trump. All of us have to do our part. We cannot just talk about economic and stash and equality, we have to take on all forms of inequality and dissemination. Discrimination. Together, we have to defend all of our rights, civil rights, and workers rights and womens rights. Lgbt rights and rights for people with disabilities. And that starts by standing with president obama when he nominates a justice to the supreme court. Our next president will face all these challenges and more. Running for president is hard but being president is harder. It is the hardest, most important job in the world and no one person can succeed at the job without seeking and finding Common Ground to solve the problems we face. If we work together, we can make a real difference in peoples lives. If we reach out to treat each other with respect, kindness, and even love instead of bluster and bigotry, if we lift each other up instead of tearing each other down, there is nothing we cannot accomplish together. Please, join me in this campaign, every vote counts, every volunteer our counts. Every contribution counts. Eight years ago, eight years ago on the night of the ohio primary, i said i was running for everyone who has ever been counted out but refused to be knocked out. For everyone who has stumbled but stood right back up. For everyone who worked hard and never gives up. That is still true. Our campaign is for the steelworker i met in ohio on sunday night who was laid off but hoping to get back to work. It is for the mother i met in miami whose five children have not seen their father since he was deported. She dreams of a day when deportations and and families are reunited on a path to citizenship in america. And it is for the mothers i stood with in chicago yesterday who have lost children to gun violence. They are turning their sorrow into a strategy and their morning into a movement. Lets stand with people who have courage, who have resilience, lets stand with everyone who believes americas best days are ahead. Challenges, i have never had more faith in our future and if we work together, if we go forward in this campaign, if we win in november, i know our future of a brighter tomorrow and yesterday. Thank you all so very much. [cheers and applause] donald trump spoke to supporters in palm beach, florida after winning that states republican president ial primary. Andlso won in illinois north carolina. His marks or 15 minutes. Remarks are 15 minutes. Donald trump thank you. Thank you very much, everybody. This was an amazing evening. This was a great evening. They Just Announced north carolina. I do not know if they have announced illinois at that we are leading by a lot so i think they are going to announce it. Florida was so amazing. I want to thank our friends, northern marianas islands have been so incredible and we picked up nine delegates this morning. I heard very early in the morning, nine delegates, that is a lot and i just wanted to thank andgovernor, ralph torres, that was a very nice start to the day, that i can tell you. Many things have been happening over the last short period of time. Cnn was very nice, they came up with a pole. They said 49 . We just had one from the 53 andt just came out, it is interesting because i was watching the news a little while ago and one of the commentators who i am not particularly fond of but these are minor details, said, but donald trump does not. Et over 50 i am at 43, 45. According to the economist, i am at 53 and i have to its going these people, they do not basictand, basic physics, mathematics, basic whatever you call it. We have four people, do you understand that so when i get 53 hadhis one as example, i 53, and that is with four people. That is an amazing achievement mathematically when you can get over 50 so someday, someday they are going to understand, someday when we take it all, they will understand but it is really ridiculous. Myant to thank my family, boys eric and don. They have been working so hard. Ivanka and jared have been amazing. In two minutes i will call. She is about to have a baby. We have been thinking about that for little while but ivanka has been so helpful and jared has been amazing. It has been just great. I want to thank darren for putting up the with theyve upked baron for putting with me. He goes, when are you coming and i said it is pretty tough. And when up to ohio and youngstown. We had an incredible crowd, just amazing people in this country. We have so many great people. We will someday in the not too distant future if i went, otherwise it is not going to happen, i have to be honest with you but apple and all of these rey companies will be making their product in the United States. Not in china, vietnam, and all that. [applause] were not going to be losing our companies. Our companies are leaving our country rapidly. Whether it is carrier airconditioning, whether it is o Many Companies are leaving. I am disgusted with it and i am tired of seeing it. There is no reason for it. It is gross incompetence at the highest level. We should not allow it to happen. Pfizer, they are going to ireland. Versions, orporate and people cannot get their money back into the country because the politicians cannot get along, they cannot make a deal. Everybody agrees, democrat and republican, everybody agrees the money should come back. There is too and have trillion dollars outside of this country 2. 5 trillion outside of this country, everyone agrees that money should be here and the politicians have not been able to make a difference. We could make a deal. There is an example of something downyou could do is i sat with a few of the senators, a few of the congressman, you can make a deal on that in 10 minutes if you knew what you were doing because everybody wants to do it. And companies are actually leaving our country to get their money, not only because our taxes are too high which we will lower, by the way, but companies are leaving our country in order to go and get money, that is their money because there is no way of bringing an end. We have to we have a long way to go but i think at some point it is going to get done. This has been very exciting. This whole process. We started, i was one of 17 people, senators, governors, i have had such great support, dr. Ben carson the other day greated us, great guy, man. Wonderful and Chris Christie endorsed us, that was so incredible. [applause] bondi came up and endorsed us, she was great. Woman a truly wonderful and the job she has done in florida is incredible. Incredible have such support. Paul ryan called me, tremendous call. I spoke with Mitch Mcconnell today. We had a great conversation. Bring our party together. We have to bring it together. Thatve something happening actually makes the Republican Party horribly the biggest political story a world anywhere in the world. Everyone is writing about it, all over the world, all over europe. Millions are coming in to vote. This was an example of it today. Many more people. I am looking at different polling booths all around the country where it is up and the lines are for our five or six blocks long and a woman, one woman was in there for 40 years, she has been working the polls and she said, we have to people here, we have three people. Now look at the line and the e look i get was long looked like it was long. Five deep and long. A different thing. We have a great opportunity and the people who are voting are democrats are coming in, independents are coming in and important, people that never voted before. It is an incredible thing. [applause] i want to pay my respects to todd palin, sarahs husband. Sarah was here, she was incredible, she was making a speech on my behalf and fantastic, Everybody Loves her and what happened is he was in a very bad accident. He is tough as nails, he is going to be fine but i want to pay my respects to todd and sarah. So, our theme when we started sitmelanie and i came down, down, please. You do not have to stand. I am looking at all these people. Good job, cory. Squad, right . When this began i said we have to do it and she was so supportive and she has been so supportive, it has been amazing and we have to do it, we came down the escalator and it was about trade and borders. And what happened is pretty quickly after that, we shot right up. I shot to the top of the polls and ive been leading in the polls ever almost from the beginning without fail. We went up in june. Nevereople said i will run, he is just having a good time. I am having a very nice time but im working very hard and there is great anger, believe me, there is great anger. One of the broadcasters was saying is there anger and i said yeah. We love the way things are working. We love the deal you made with iran. We love all the deals, the trade deals are wonderful. Those 500 billion a year with china. We lose 58 billion dollars a year in terms of imbalance. It is a total imbalance. We do not make good deals anymore. We do not win any more. As a country we do not win anymore and they ask is there anger from your people, and i said there is anger. The country see properly run for want to see borders, good health care, they want to see things properly taken care of. Our military is at stake. What you built. They want it rebuilt. Very importantly and they want the Second Amendment protected and protected strongly and that is going to happen. I do know what they want so badly . They want our veterans taking care of. Our veterans are treated so badly. Started and something happened called paris. Paris happened and paris was a disaster. There have been many disasters. It was paris and then we had a case in los angeles where it was in california where 14 young people were killed and it just goes on and on and on, and what happened with me is this whole run took on a whole new meaning. Not just borders, not just good trade deals, we will make the best trade and you have ever seen. We have such endorsements from carl icahn and the smartest people in business. And these people are going to be negotiating our deals and they are the best in the world. We have the best Business People in the world. We are going to have such great deals. Were going to do so good with trade, were going to go do so good on the border but it took on a whole new meaning and the meeting was very simple. We need protection in our country and that is going to happen and all of a sudden, the poll numbers shut up and i am very proud to be part of this. I think were going to go and were going to do a lot of trips over the next month but i think were going to have a great victory anything more importantly than anything else, we are going to start winning again. This country is going to start winning again. We do not win anymore. [applause] we do not win without military. We cannot beat isis. We were we are going to knock the hell out of them. We do not win at trade area china, at trade, china, any body, mexico, with its us. We are to make our country great toin and we need to be rich make the great, i am sorry to tell you. So i am going forward, we had a fantastic evening, i wouldnt have never thought this could have happened. We are waiting for one result which possibly will be successful also but to win this states that we won and to win by the margins and this is my second home, florida. To win by that kind of a number is incredible. [inaudible] that numbero say it one, i want to congratulate marco rubio on having run a really tough campaign. I have to say, nobody has ever, and history politics, received the kind of negative advertising that i have. Record, record, record, mostly false. [laughter] wouldnt say 100 , but about 90 . Mostly false, vicious, horrible, they said was 18 million the first week, meeting last week. It added up to over 40 million dollars. You explained it to me, because i cant. My numbers went up, i dont understand it. Nobody understands it. My numbers went up. [applause] donald trump it has been an interesting experience. Last week, adam scott, won at a Golf Tournament recently. I am watching with Television Screens all over. We are down at this gorgeous green, then a commercial comes on. The worst commercial. I am with these wonderful people from cadillac, and the top executives. When i say look over there, dont watch it, you dont want to watch this. Isnt the grass beautiful . Look, dont watch. [applause] and they came in waves, one come after another, after another. Then adam comes and is this handsome kid from australia. One of the greatest golfers in the world. He made an unbelievable shot on the 18th hole. He is a great champion, just before we break for a commercial we will be right back mark. Check from australia, adam scott. And it was the commercial, and i said no. And it was two of them. What a day that was, what a disaster. [applause] donald trump unbelievable. So again, i want to congratulate everybody. This is a really interesting process. It is an amazing process. It is very tough, by the end if you get to the end you can handle a lot of things, including pressure. That i can tell you. Because there is nothing like it. Lies, deceit, viciousness, disgusting reporters. Horrible reporters. Horrible things. Some are nice. Some are nice. Some are really disgusting. People back there. I want to say, we will go forward. We will win, but more importantly we will win for the country. We will win, win, win, and were not stopping. Were going to have great victories for our country. Thank you very much, everybody. [applause] announcer florida senator marco rubio suspended his campaign tuesday evening, after feeling to when the primary in his home state. He spoke to reporters in miami, almost a year to the date after he started his campaign. His remarks are 15 minutes. [applause] [cheering] rubio thank you. You very much. K first of all, thank you for everything. I have notn had a chance to speak with them yet but i want to congratulate donald trump, take victory in florida. [booing] marco rubio no, no, no, our voters make the decisions. We live in a republic. We respect that very much. I want to begin by thanking all of you today. I want you to know i am the beneficiary of the best to group of supporters, the hardest ive ever been associated with. Thank you. Not just here in florida, not just here in florida, but around the country. We love you, marco. Marco rubio i love you, too. I want you to know that, not just here, but all over the country in south carolina, and ohio and the great state of minnesota, and puerto rico, all over. We had a great team, we have a great team. I am so grateful for the help. That you got has given us us, you guys have given there is nothing more you could have done. We worked as hard as we ever got. America is in the middle of a real political storm. And we should have seen this coming. Look, people are angry, and very frustrated. It began back in 20072008. Donald trump for president sen. Rubio dont worry, you wont get beat up at our event. People are very frustrated about the direction of our country. [chanting] marco, marco, marco. Sen. Rubio thank you. Thank you. People are frustrated. In 2007 and 2008, there was a world downturn in our economy. These changes happening right now are disrupting peoples lives. People are very upset about it. They are told that people are angry and frustrated. They are being left behind by this economy. They are being told if you are against illegal immigration, that makes you a bigot. If you see jobs and businesses leaving the country, you have no right to be frustrated. They see america involved in the world, and american spending money and losing their lives. They see theres very little gratitude for all the sacrifice that america makes. Quite frankly, there are millions of people in the country that are tired to be looked down upon. Tired of being told by the selfproclaimed elitists that they dont know what theyre talking but it should listen to the socalled smart people. And i know all these issues firsthand. I have lived paycheck to paycheck. I grew up paycheck to paycheck. I know what it is like to have to figure out how to find a money to fix the air conditioner that broke last night. I know my parents struggle to i know millions are doing that. I know immigration in america is broken. My parents are immigrants. I live in a community of immigrants. Ive seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I battled my whole life against the socalled elites. People that think i needed to wait my turn, or wait in line. It was not our time. I understand all of these frustrations. When i decided to run for president , i wanted to be realistic about all of these challenges. But also, one that was optimistic about what lies ahead for our country. I know we have a right to enforce our immigration laws. We have to have a realistic approach to fixing our immigration laws. We are living to this extraordinary economic transition that has disrupted peoples lives. Machines are replacing them, the pay is not enough. I know it is disruptive. But i know this new economy has incredible opportunity. I know that when america doesnt lead, it leaves behind a vacuum. That vacuum leads to chaos. I know firsthand ours is a special nation. Because where you come from here does not decide the way you go. That is how a 44yearold son of a bartender and a maid, that i can run for president of the United States of america. [applause] sen. Rubio so, from a political standpoint, the easiest thing to have done in this campaign is to jump on all those anxieties i just talked about. To make people angry or more frustrated. But i chose a different route, and i am proud of that. [applause] because that wouldve been in a year like this, that wouldve been the easiest way to win. But that is not what is best for america. The politics of resentment against other people will not just leave us as a fractured party, they will is a fractured nation. They leave us as a nation where people literally hate each other because they have different political opinions. That we find ourselves at a point is not surprising, the warning signs have been here for a decade. In 2010, the Tea Party Wave carried us into office and that give republicans a majority in the house. But nothing changed. In 2014, the same voters gave republicans a majority in the senate, but still nothing changed. And i blame some of that on the conservative movement, that is supposed to be about our principles and our ideals. But i blame most of it on our political establishment. [applause] marco rubio a political establishment that for far too long has looked down at conservatives as simpleminded people. They looked down at conservatives as simply bomb throwers. A political establishment that for far too long has taken the votes of conservatives for granted. A political establishment that is grown to confuse cronyism for capitalism, and big business for free enterprise. I endeavored over the last 11 months to bridge this divide within our party, and our country. Because i know that after eight years of barack obama, this nation needs a vibrant and growing conservative movement. And it needs a strong Republican Party to change the direction, or many of the things that are going wrong in america will become permanent. And many of the things that make us a special country will be gone. America needs a vibrant, conservative movement. But one that is both comfortable, and ideas, not in fear, anger, or preying on peoples frustrations. [applause] marco rubio a conservative movement that believes the principles of our constitution and protects our rights to limit the power of government. A conservative movement committed to the cause of free enterprise, the only economic model where everyone can climb. A conservative movement that believes a Strong National defense and a conservative movement that believes in the strong, judeochristian values that are the formation of our nation. Amen [applause] marco rubio but we also need a new political establishment and our party. Not one that looks down on people that live outside of the district of columbia. Not one that tells young people they need to wait their turn. Not one that is more interested in winning elections than it is in solving problems or standing by principles. And this is the campaign we have run, realistic that the challenges we face, but optimistic about the opportunities before us. A campaign that recognizes the difficulties we face but also one that believes that we truly are on the verge of a new american century. And a campaign to be president , a campaign to be president that would love all of the American People. Even the ones that dont love you back. [applause] marco rubio this is the right way forward for our party, and for our country. After tonight, it is clear that while we are on the right side, this year, we will not be on the winning side. I take great comfort in the ancient words which teach us that in their hearts, humans plan their course and the lord establishes their steps. [applause] marco rubio and so yet, while this may not of been the year for hopeful and optimistic message about our future, i still remain hopeful and optimistic about america. [applause] marco rubio and how can i not . How can i not . My mother was one of seven girls born into a poor family. Her father was disabled as a child. He struggled to provide for them his entire life. My mother told us a few years ago, she never went to bed hungry growing up, but knows her parents did. So they would not have to. She came to this country in 1956 with little education, no money, and no connections. My parents struggled their first years here, they were discouraged. They even thought of going back to cuba, at one point. But they persevered. They never became rich, i didnt inherit any money from my parents. They never became famous. You never wouldve heard from them, if i didnt run for office. And yet, i consider my parents to be very successful people. In this country, working hard, they owned a home. They retired with dignity. In this country, they lived to see all four of their children live better off than themselves. And in this country, on this day, my mother who is now 85 years old was able to cast a ballot for her son to be the president of the United States of america. [applause] marco rubio and so [chanting] marco, marco, marco. Marco, marco, marco. Marco rubio thank you. And so, while it is not gods plan that i be president in 2016, or maybe ever. While today my campaign is suspended, the fact that ive even come this far is evidence of how special america truly is. And all the reason more why we must do all that we can to ensure this nation remains a special place. I ask the American People, do not to give in to the fear. Do not give in to the frustration. We can disagree about public policy, we can disagree about it vibrantly. Passionately. But we are hopeful people. And we have every right to be hopeful. For we in this nation of the descendents of gogetters. In our veins run the blood of everybody who did not give it all up. Where all descendents of someone, the descendents of pilgrims, settlers. We are the descendents of many women that headed westward not knowing what awaited them. We are the descendents of slaves who overcame that horrible institution, to stake their claim in the american dream. We are the descendents of immigrants, and exiles, who knew and believed they were destined for more. Theres only one place on earth what that was possible. This is who we are. And let us fight to ensure this is who we remain. For if we lose that about our country, we will still be rich, and well still be powerful. But we will no longer be special. We will keep fighting. Marco rubio im grateful to everyone who worked so hard for me. I truly am. Im grateful to my family. And to my wife, was been so phenomenal during this campaign. [applause] marco rubio to my four kids, who have been extraordinary in this campaign. [applause] marco rubio and i want you to know that i will continue every single day to search for ways for me to repay some of the extraordinary debt that i of this great country. I want to leave with an expression of gratitude to god, in whose hands all things lie. He has a plan for everyone of our lives. Everything that comes from god is good. God is perfect. God makes no mistakes. And he has things planned for all of us. And we await eagerly to see what lies ahead. Got bless you, Marco Marco Rubio i leave tonight with one final prayer, and they use the word of king david, because i remain grateful to god. Yours, o lord, is the power, the greatness and the glory, and the majesty. Indeed, everything that is in the heavens, and the earth. Yours is the dominion, o lord. And you exult yourself and head overall. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. And in your hand is power, and might. And it lies in your hand to make great, and strengthen everyone. May god strengthen our people, and our nation. May god strengthen the conservative movement, may he strengthen the Republican Party. May god strengthen our eventual nominee, and may god always bless and strengthen this great nation, the United States of america. Thank you, and god bless you all. [applause] marco rubio the water thank you so much. Thank you. [applause] announcer Ohio Governor john supporterse to after winning his home state, edging front runner donald trunk. He is joined on stage with his wife and daughters. [applause] [cheers and applause] [crowd chanting kasich] [cheers and applause] [crowd chanting usa] [cheers and applause] john kasich you Better Believe it is about america. It is about pulling us together. Not pulling us apart. It is about the usa. [crowd chanting kasich] john kasich hey. Listen. Let me hey. [cheers and applause] john kasich when you went to college in the 1970s you appreciated a peaceful protest every once and a while. [laughter] me, too. First of all, when you are in the arena, and you are struggling, and leave your family to go on the campaign trail and deliver a message to america because you believe that you are the best qualified person to be president of the United States, and you put it on the line, i want this crowd here tonight to give a great response to a very great, talented and fine United States senator, marco rubio for the effort he has done. [applause] john kasich tonight, we arrived in cleveland. And we went to a restaurant. We thought we could sneak in and grab a quick meal. And when we walked through the restaurant, people started to cheer. My reaction . Please dont do that, because youre going to make me cry. But to have people believe in you and to believe that you can bring people together and strengthen our country, i have to thank the people of the great state of ohio. I love you. [applause] [crowd chanting kasich] john kasich you know, when i became governor of ohio i went to new york and met with some of the rating agencies. Things were bad. We had lost 350,000 jobs. We were 8 billion in the hole. Our credit was hanging in the balance. They told me, we are about to cut up your credit card and give you a new one where you cannot buy as much. I said, you dont understand ohio, you dont understand ohio wins. I cant wait to go back again. We are now up 400,000 plus jobs. We are running a 2 billion surplus. Our pensions are secure. We have cut taxes by more than any governor in this country. And we are leaving no one behind. Not the mentally ill, the drug addicted, the working poor. [applause] and i dont know whether you can actually serve a meal of words , but i would like to go back to the Credit Rating agencies where they could learn to eat their words, about doubting ohio. [applause] and you know, ladies and gentlemen, my whole life has been about trying to create a climate of opportunity for people. You know, as my father carried the mail on his back, i was told by my cousin, i didnt realize this. My mother was the only one to graduate from high school. The other three barely made it out of the eighth grade. Because they were poor. And you know, as i have traveled the country and i look into your eyes, you want to believe. You want to believe again that we can have job security. You want to believe again that wages can rise. You want to believe that your children are going to have a better america than what we got from our mothers and fathers. That is the Great American legacy. That our kids will be better than we are. [applause] and i want people an ohio around the country to know that i understand these tough issues. I grew up in these situations in that little bluecollar town. And in my minds eye, it is the need to forget the politics, forget allpollsters, the focus groups. Because, you see, i represent you. It is my job to look at these situations and these problems and listen to you. And it is my job to go and fix them. If that means i have to take some heat, that is the price of leadership in america. [applause] now, i want you to know, the Campaign Goes on. And i also want you to know that it has been my intention to make you proud. It has been my intention to have young people all across this country watch someone enter into politics, even though i have labored in obscurity. People counting me out. People in ohio saying, why dont they ever call on him. [laughter] we get all that. But we put one foot in front of the other. And i want to remind you tonight again that i will not take the low road to the highest office in the land. [applause] you know, the challenges we have, we can go to washington in the first hundred days and fix these problems with the shock and awe agenda that can pass. We can rally the people in washington. Because im going to remind them we are americans and we have an obligation. [applause] but i really, really believe this, and want you to know this. And maybe, in many respects, this is why i have been given the chance to stand here tonight and i have earned a victory. You know, the lord has made everyone here special. I have been telling people this across the country. Nobody has ever been made like you before and no one will be like you again. And young lady, you are here in a moment in time. And your job is to find the purpose you have. Your job is to live life a little bit bigger than yourself. Your job is to be a center of healing and justice and hope in whatever way we can. If we are a school teacher, we give up money to change lives. If we are a nurse, we work 15 extra minutes when we are dead on our feet, because we want to assure a family that things are going to be ok. [applause] and if we are a neighbor, that means that widow who was married for 50 years, you want to change the world. You take her to dinner saturday night. She will wear that dress she hasnt worn in six months. I trust you. To do it. You see, what i learned as a boy, from my mother and father, is that the spirit of america rests in us. It doesnt rest in bigtime politicians. Look, you hire us to go do the job. Plain and simple, to create an environment Economic Growth and opportunity. That is not where our spirit is. Our spirit is in us, believing through our efforts in which every part of the world that we live, that we can change the world, that we can carve out a better future, that we can realize the special gifts given to each and every one of us in here are something that we can use to heal the world. You know, we are part of a giant mosaic. A snapshot in time. All of us here. And it is our job as americans, our job as people who want to be decent and live good lives, to dig down and understand that purpose and never underestimate our ability to change the world in which we live. [applause] guess what . Tomorrow, i am going to philadelphia. [applause] and then, i am going all over the country. Ok . And many of you have traveled around this country trying to help me. You know what . Look, this is all ive got. Ok . [laughter] all i can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. But i want you to know something, we are going to go all the way to cleveland and secure the republican nomination. [applause] [cheers and applause] [crowd chanting kasich] john kasich you know, i also want to thank you know, my father was a democrat all of his life. He was. We had a lot of democrats that said they didnt like the socialist agenda or a leftwing agenda or big government. I want to thank them for coming over in this election, and putting their confidence in me. Because, you know, i think we all know conservative principles can work. Common sense can work. Shifting power and influence in money from the big place washington and moving it to where we live that empowers us, that is the direction for our country. [applause] and finally, i want you coming out on the road. I want you to continue doing we have been doing around this country. I am getting ready to rent a covered wagon. We are going to have the wind blowing us over the Rocky Mountains to california. [applause] heres what i want you to know. We have one more trip around ohio this coming fall, where we will beat Hillary Clinton and i will become the president of the United States. Thank you all very much. Thank you. God bless you. [cheers and applause] announcer texas senator ted cruz spoke to supporters from houston, texas on primary night. He was introduced by former president ial candidate carly fiorina. His remarks are 25 minutes. Carly fiorina thank you. Thank you. Good evening. Heard a lot of speeches tonight. And i now know there is one speech that you are particularly waiting for year, and we will get him it is the moment. But we heard, of course, a very uplifting and gracious speech from marco rubio. [applause] state. Sich won his home now is clearly the nominee of her party. And i have to tell you, about halfway through her speech, my husband texted me and that i just cannot take it. I am turning on the big bang theory. [laughter] and then of course, we heard from donald trump. Say, the pundits have been assuming that Hillary Clinton would be her partys nominee for some time now. About the last week or so, every time i have gotten on television or the radio, someone has asked me this question well, donald trump is our nominee, are you going to support them . Here is the answer i have been giving. Donald trump does not represent me, and he does not represent my party. [applause] is, if youhe truth listen to Hillary Clinton and donald trump backtoback, as we got the opportunity to do tonight, when you listen to Hillary Clinton and donald trump back to back, you know they are just two sides of the same coin. Hillary clinton has made her millions selling access and influence from the inside, and donald trump has made his billions buying people like Hillary Clinton off. They are the system. [applause] people who of the hope that donald trump will be there champion to fight the system that no longer works for them, he will not. He will continue to take advantage of that system, as he has his entire life. There is only one fearless fighter against the washington cartels in this race. And we know, you know, who that is. Ted curuz carly that is right. Having run for president myself, it is hard. It is hard for those supporters. Particularly, when someone has won one or two. It is hard for those supporters to say it is time for someone to unify behind someone else, but it is time the unified now behind the one candidate who can beat donald trump, save the soul of this party, and go on and challenge the establishment in washington, d. C. You know, people have asked me how i came to endorse ted cruz. I have to tell you, before i ever had a conversation with ted cruz about endorsing him, i walked into a voting booth in virginia in my home state of virginia. And i look at that ballot, and i saw all of these names i saw my own name on that ballot. And that was kind of a thrill, i have to tell you. And i thought about all of the supporters who had fought hard for me. And then i thought about why i ran for president in the first place. Because i know we need a real constitutional. Onservative in the white house [applause] i ran because i know we need a fearless fighter who will challenge the establishment in washington, d. C. Ran, because it was easy for me to check the box for ted cruz. It is time to trust the man we can trust in public and private. Please join me, give up, for the next president of the United States and the next first lady of the United States ted and heidi cruz. [crowd chanting ted. ] thank you very much. God bless each and everyone of you. Thank you, dan patrick, for leading our team here in the state of texas. [applause] extraordinary . [applause] [cheering] such a tremendous leader. And i have to tell you, she terrifies Hillary Clinton. Turns, in her and jail cell, thinking about her. Tonight was a good night. [applause] tonight, we continue the our marchand continue 1237. And after tonight, america now has a clear choice going forward. Let me say a word about marco rubio. Marco is a friend, a colleague. Optimistic, ong, positive campaign. Of atory the son bartender and made who fled cuba seeking freedom, it is powerful and inspiration. Story,s passion, inspires me. Marco can paint a picture, weave a tapestry, like no one else. And his president of campaign inspired millions across the nation. I congratulate marco and jean ette on the tremendous campaign they ran together. For those who supported marco, who worked so hard, we welcome you with open arms. [applause] with gratitude and with hope and with a positive vision together for our great nation, we welcome along with us, remarkable leaders like carly fiorina, like governor rick perry, and like all of the republicans who are uniting behind our campaign. From mark lee to mark levin, from the national review. Starting tomorrow morning, every republican is a clear choice. Only two campaigns have a plausible path to the nomination. Nobody else has any mathematical possibility whatsoever. Only one campaign has beaten donald trump, over and over and over again. [applause] not once, not twice, not three times, but nine times all across the country. From alaska to maine. [applause] forward, the choice is straightforward. Do you want a candidate who shares your values, or a candidate who has spent decades opposing your values . The mainstream media, the network suits who make the decisions, want donald trump at the republican nominee. That is why they have given him hundreds and millions in free advertising, because they are partisan democrats, ready for hillary. And they know that donald may be the one person on the face of the earth that Hillary Clinton can beat in the general election. Going toedia arent decide this election. The voters will. [applause] and here is our vision for america, and america with a Brighter Future, and america with their opportunity for our kids and grandkids. It is america with more liberty, safety, security. It is an america that is greater andrrow, than it is today, then it was yesterday. This election will focus on three Critical Issues job, freedom, and security. As president , my number one priority will be jobs. Stagnation,nd the the misery of the obamaclinton economy. You know, it is easy to talk about making America Great again. You can even print that on a baseball cap. [laughter] but the critical question is whether you understand the principles and values that made America Great in the first place. [applause] the heart of our economy is not in washington, d. C. The heart of our economy is Small Businesses all across the United States of america. [applause] if i elected president , we will repeal every word of obamacare. [applause] we will pass a simple flat tax and abolish the irs. [applause] will reign in the epa and the government regulators that are killing Small Businesses. [applause] amnesty, secure the borders, in the sanctuary cities, and end Welfare Benefits for those here illegally. [applause] and the result will be millions jobs, illions of highpay wages will be rising across america, young people coming out of school with five job opportunities. [applause] far too many politicians focus on washington, d. C. Because the lobbyists, for those like donald trump who buy influence, and for those like Hillary Clinton, who sell influence, washington is the center of the universe. But we understand that is not right. Together, we will make washington less relevant in all of our lives. [applause] well fire government regulators and repealed jobkilling regulation. Thetogether, we will take boot of the federal government off the backs and next of Small Businesses and necks of Small Businesses all across this country. [applause] it is not about the cronyism and the bailouts that far too many republicans and democrats have done over and over again to benefit the rich and powerful. Instead, Less Government is more freedom. [applause] higher wages and a better standard of life for all of us. The second cripple issue in this election second critical issue in this election is freedom. Trumpbates ago, donald promised all of us that he would compromise with harry reid and Chuck Schumer on replacing Antonin Scalia in the supreme court. Our rights hang in the balance. And let me be very clear for the people of america, i will not compromise away your religious liberty. [applause] and i will not compromise away your Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms. [applause] and every justice i appoint to the court will be faithful to the law, and will ferociously protect the bill of rights for your children and for mine. [applause] the third critical issue in this election is security. For seven years, we have abandoned our friends and allies, shown weakness and appeasement to our enemies. Two debates ago, donald trump promised as president to be neutral between israel and the palestinians. Well, let me be clear. As president , i will not be neutral. [applause] america will stand, unapologetically, with the nation of israel. [applause] and anyone who cannot tell the difference between our friends and our enemies, who cannot tell the difference between israel and islamic terrorists who seek to murder us, that raises real questions about their fitness and judgment to be commanderinchief. [applause] donald trump says he will keep in place this Iranian Nuclear deal and try to renegotiate. I will rip to shreds this Iranian Nuclear deal, on the very first day in office. [applause] over seven years, president obama as weekend and undermined underminedend and the military. We saw this with another democratic president , jimmy carter, who did the same thing. And in 1981, Ronald Reagan came into office. And what did reagan do . He cut taxes, lifted regulation, people government off the backs ks of Small Businesses, and it generated trillions of government revenue. And he used that money to build bankrupt the soviet union, and when the cold war win the cold wawr. I intend to do the exact same thing with radical islamic terrorist. We are going to repeal obamacare. We are going to pass a flat tax, lip regulation, dr. Amnesty, and see millions of highpaying jobs and we will use that revenue to rebuild this military, so that it remains the mightiest fighting force on the place of the planet. Planet. E face of the [applause] tomorrow, we have a choice a clear and simple choice. Enough with the washington corruption. Withh with the deception, using government to benefit the rich and powerful, at the expense of hardworking taxpayers. Together, we can turn things around. If we stand together, if we remember the common sense free market principles that built america, the constitutional liberties that built america, once again standing together, we can have morning in america. [applause] now is the time for republicans to unite, for libertarians to unite, for all of us who want a Brighter Future for the nation, to come together. Starting tomorrow morning, there is a clear and direct choice. And for everyone who wants to see a brighter tomorrow, we welcome you to our teams. We welcome you with open and welcoming arms. Thank you, and god bless you. [applause] nothin yeteen heres something that you will enver forget baby, you aint seen nothing yet you aint been around feeling better cause i found out for sure she took me to her doctor and he told me i was cured he said that any love is good love so i took what i could get and then she looked at me and said you aint seen nothing yet baby, you aint seen nothing yet heres something you will never forget you aint seen nothing yet
