Consequences or his lack of respect for the judicial process and law and order. You won the first round, mr. Prosecutors, but dont cut your gloves off because the fights not over. Justice will come to ferguson. Al sharpton, the fact that he was at the white house today gives you some idea on how the president intends to lead when a young black man steals from a convenience store, strong arms a clerk and walks down the block to punch a policeman while trying to grab his weapon. Thats precisely will a grand jury decided not to indict officer wilson. But that didnt stop nation of islam leader lewis fair kaan by trying to insight more violence in america. Theres a law for retaliation, like for like. The bible says an eye, a tooth alike. Were tear this [mute] country up the president is himself now assailing the grand jury decision, taking president ial racial politics to a new depth. Tonight we explore all of this, including why much of the National Media refuses to ask tough questions about who Michael Brown really was and about the failures of his parents to give him a supportive and stable family, and why this president is calling for commissions and inquiry into conduct without mentioning the 50,000 Police Officers who are assaulted every year and the hundreds of thousands who put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our community safe. Six years after he took office and just weeks after announcing his resignation, attorney general eric holder now claims he has a plan to end racial profiling. In the coming days, i will announce updated Justice Department guidance regarding profiling by federal law enforcement. This will institute rigorous new standards and robust safeguards to help end racial profiling once and for all. Attorney general holder made that announcement at ebb kneeser Baptist Church in atlanta from where Martin Luther king junior preached and started the civil rights movement. Joining us with, niece of dr. King. The attorney general talking about personally ending racial profiling, grandiose beyond measure it seems to me. What are your thoughts . Absolutely. If he has that solution and he can do it single handedly, then were going to see a surprise that history has never seen. Even my wonderful uncle, Martin Luther king, my dad, his brother, they did their part, but they did not single handedly end anything during their lifetime. Were still dealing with these human issues today. And so i believe that the attorney general should take our invitation to sit down with others, many others of us. They were saying that this was the first kind of event of its kind at ebb kneeser Baptist Church in atlanta. I would suggest that they go back and look at president kennedy and uncle m. L. And different types of things that have occurred throughout human history. Thats an extraordinary stage upon which to stand and be overly full of ones self and ignore the history of the place, ebb kneeser Baptist Church. You must have some considerable mixed emotions. I want to turn to the Congressional Black Caucus for just a moment and the reaction of the head of the black caucus talking about the decision in ferguson. And on the floor of the house of representatives, your reaction as they protested a grand jury decision in which its unequivocal unequivocally, the physical evidence declares that an 18yearold man weighing almost 300 pounds strongarmed a clerk in a convenience store, robbed cigars from it, marched down the street, actually punched the Police Officer and then tried to get his gun. What in the world are people thinking about . Is this becoming, in your judgment, exploitive, politically in the extreme . I would say to the Congressional Black Caucus, if that is all they have to offer is emotional display, hands up, dont shoot, and with no solutions, nothing to end the poverty in america, the high Unemployment Rate in the africanamerican community, the statistics of Health Problems throughout our community, the high rates of abortion in broken families. Now, theyre not doing anything to really resolve those issues, and they really never have. There are many excuses they would give, but to do the hands up, dont shoot issue, yes, Michael Brown is a tragic hero, tragically flawed. You can look into what aristotle had to say about those things, me as a student of the bible, a former college professor, et cetera, but these types of reactions without solutions are not going to help. So i really want to ask the Congressional Black Caucus, is that really the best you have to offer . A display that will further stir up the emotions of the people without any solutions. I think thats unfortunate. And the president himself, his leadership here has been strange to me bewildering honestly. Im not certain who he thinks he is leading. Im uncertain the principles that he is espousing. Im frankly absolutely baffled by his attempt at leadership. Your thoughts . There are many leaders, laypersons, Community Activists who never had an invitation, nor on opportunity to sit down and talk to the president , not about his skin color and of course america has felt that that was a first. However, theres so much needed beyond the color of someones skin, including the president. But the content of character, the ability to lead the American People. I believe that there are still leaders who want to sit down and pray with the president. Of course, i do pray for the president. I love the president , the first lady. I do not agree with their policies. But there needs to be leadership, not dictatorship, not acting like a czar or that type of person but someone who can lead and work with the people. That has not been demonstrated yet, but of course ive said many times, prayer can bring about many miracles, so i do continue to pray for the president , but what is called his leadership right now is still sorely lacking. Lets pray for our president. Good to have you with us. Thank you as always. Thank you so much. Ail vita king. Joining us is bishop harry jackson, president of the high impact leadership coalition. Bishop jackson, its great to see you. Thanks for being with us. Thank you for having me, lou. The community in ferguson is devastated, that is obvious. What were your reactions when you were there . How is the community, the Community Leaders you met with, how are they doing . Well, i think theyre making their way through it. Heres the problem, there were outside protesters and organizers and people who were the spark of this thing. But, i believe that there is a sense of frustration because poverty, the level of people who dont even have high school dmoem pas or geds is huge in ferguson and the people that are at or below the Poverty Level is huge. But, there isnt really, aside from a group that were working with right now who have something called the bridges to peace, there really hasnt been a positive step of action laid out. So i think a lot of folks are reaching out. Theyre angry, lou. I dont want your audience to get the idea that the message coming out of this is saying whites are oppressing blacks at an alltime high level, but i think what is really happening is that folks are saying stop the madness. Sharpton and those guys, i think, are pouring gasoline on a raging fire and theyve opened pandoras box and it wont be easily closed. Thats part of the problem at this point. I think that holder, ive not really been a fan of his all along because hes selectively enforcing law in the nation. Hes a political activist in the attorney generals office. Yes. He leads the political arm of this administration. He really does. Lou, i think right now though theres a longterm process that can happen. I think the church has got to lead the way of helping people sit down together and take positive action. Notice that the jury there was three blacks and nine whites. In that community, in one of the forums that we had, we heard that its hard to get blacks engaged in that community in the process of ongoing justice. Its difficult for them to believe in the system from the onset. So i think weve got a classoriented problem that really needs to be addressed. You know, when we hear this one person obviously on the fringe, fair kaan. The other in the white house with the president of the United States as his principle, principle liaison to the Ferguson Community leader. How do you react . I think its an outrage. Notice that core was not invited. There are many civil rights leaders that werent invited. So the president is, and the administration, are choosing the folks that they want to have address the problem. The concern, lou, is that this is a longterm issue. Weve got to get black community engaged. Weve got to deal with systemic poverty. Weve got to deal with education in the community. I believe that an Interracial Group doing practical works of kindness and good in that community have got to come together, they have got to feed the poor, clothe the naked and deal with returning prisoners in that community. All of that long work that takes a lot of energy, but thats what i believe mlk, Martin Luther king jr. , would want us to do, lou, is that say were going to solve this problem with love, that the church needs to rise as the bridge, but blacks cant do it alone, lou. Bishop jackson, weve known each other for a few years along the way, good man. The clock is ticking, a dame duck president and congressman elect joins us next on what the congress back on capitol hill today leaving themselves just ten days to pass a funding bill before the government runs out of money again. Joining us tonight is Congress WomenMarcia Blackman from tennessee and senator election James Langford of oklahoma. Welcome to you both. Lets start with you Congress Woman. Youve got some sizable work ahead of you here in short order. What are you going to do . What were going to do is continue to do what the house has done and that is to present the senate with options, plenty of them. I think most likely what youre going to see our funding package look like is a hybrid of a cr and omni bus where some things would be covered in an omni bus mechanic similar but in a cr which gives us a second bite of the apple if you will over the security provisions and dealing with immigration so that we can come back early next year and address those differently and be ready to take some action. So were looking forward to bringing it forward and putting it on the table and having the senate take it up. Congressman langford, thats where youll come in next year, but right now you have some and i want to congratulate you on your election. Thanks, lou. The idea that youre going to be able to create a hybrid as the Congress Woman said, is that, in your judgment, the view of not only the leadership but of the conference itself . It seems to be the majority. Everybody wants to have some sort of consistency. The one thing thats lacking in government, its so unpredictable, the stop, starts, continuing resolution only for a couple of months. If you do a full year of funding to get everything done except that one area, it gives stability to the markets and stability to the process and then we can give attention to the issue of immigration. This not only affects budget but tax policy. We had a major tax agreement that came together to make permanent several tax pieces but the president threatened to veto immediately because the 5 Million People he was legalized werent going to be added to the benefits and if they werent going to get the earned income tax credit to them he wasnt going to do any of it. Now it will be short term instead of long term. Weve got to be able to resolve these issues and the president s executive action is derailing a lot of it. The reality is theres not much you can do that, you being the house of representatives, even with the senate, it seems at least to me and correct me here tonight if im wrong, but the good news is from your standpoint strategically, its almost impossible for the president to do anything with his executive order for months and months from now that will have any real lasting, even temporary effect on those immigrants. There are some things that we can do, lou, and the thing is that the American People are on our side on this. They do not want this action of amnesty to take place. Remember back in july, july 30th, august 1st, we passed the Mccall Granger provisions and the black burn cruz provisions in the house that would freeze the work permits. Weve taken those actions, got bipartisan votes for them in the house. They can be included in the cr provisions. That can be written in there and it would prohibit those funds from being used by the president. Those are the actions that the house can take. We can send it to the senate. As james said, youve got the president , when he even heard that they were close to a deal on tax came out. Ive never heard of that happening before. He was going to veto it before they even had constructed the deal. Theyre still sitting at the table negotiating. I think it is so wrong of the president and really a little bit i dont know. He shouldnt have done it, but he is disenfranchising millions of middle income tax earners and families, and it is such a strike against hard working taxpayers in this country. I will hope that the president will back up and will agree to work with the house and the senate that are working in good faith. Congressman, where youre headed here, it seems, if im correctly interpreting what you and Congress Woman have said, congress are making a considerable effort to make sure that that doesnt happen, the conference seems committed on the issue of immigration. Will you in your judgment and the leadership put forward the good lot bills that have been reported out of the Judiciary Committee and take the lead on Immigration Reform with that legislation which frankly, i support 100 . What are you thoughts on taking leadership on the issue yourself . I do not anticipate that would happen during this lame duck time period. Thats something that the house has talked about already, that predates what the president is throw out there, trying to say hes going to take executive action. The house has said were starting with Border Security and the most basic things. You can take that back to december of 2012 when the house during november, december passed the high School Workers visa bill. The president immediately threatened a veto. The senate never took it up. The president s statement was if we dont do everything were going to do nothing. That means we do nothing. Immigration is not one simple issue. The house has been clear about take this one at a time so the American People dont feel like theyre being run over. People are passionate about immigration. Lets get it right. This doesnt happen very often. When it does, do the Border Security, verify, the elements that need to be done one at a time so everyone can see it, not hide anything. That sounds like a splendid approach and it looks like were going to have quite a different tone in washington d. C. We thank you both for being with us. Appreciate it. Thanks, lou. Good to have you both with us. Up next here, the pool of republican and democratic 2016 president ial candidates starting to enlarge and take shape. Im thinking about running for president and ill make up my mind in short order. Not exactly a lot of excitement there. Were going to bring some excitement to it all right here next. Stay with us. Friday night, buddy. You are gonna need a wingman. And with my cash back, you are money. Forget him. My Airline Miles will take your game worldwide. Compare hundreds of cards from all the major banks to find the one thats right for you. Its simple. Search, compare, and apply at creditcards. Com. First rounds on me. A few thoughts now on leadership tonight republican style. Just as House Speaker john boehner has found his voice and his way and senator Mitch Mcconnell is about to take over as leader of the senate, the air waves are being filled with static and the noises of raw political ambition, some emanating from jeb bush who made news saying, shockingly, that hes now thinking about running for president , as if we didnt already know that. I dont know if i would be a good candidate or a bad one. I know i kind of know how a republican can win, whether its me or somebody else. I hope he shares it. If jeb bush really knows how a republican can win, it would have been mighty big of him to have given mitt romney a boost two years ago. Theres no doubt the republican establishment has moved to jeb bush and in a hurry. 73 supporting him to be the nominee according to a survey of Corporate Leaders test wall street journals meeting. In a national pole, mitt romney leads all potential candidates for the republican nomination. That should give everybody something to think about. While senator rand paul has announced he will run for the senate, he hasnt ruled out the presidency yet. Mike huck abuy, dr. Ben carson, theyre not ruling anything out either. Each of them will likely be looking for their share of the National Media focus, each looking fob the leader of the party. So who will be theleading voice of the republicans come january . Boehner and mcconnell will be leading the republicans without doubt on capitol hill and contesting with those 2016 hopefuls for media attention. For the First Time Since 2007, republicans will be in charge of both the house and the senate, and who will emerge as the leader of the party . Boehner and mcconnell clearly working together now already and serving notice on both the president and the democrats and those g. O. P. Hopefuls that theyre going to be full partners in public policy. I said before thanksgiving republicans would fight his unilateral actions. Were looking at a variety of options both for right now and when the republicans control both houses of the congress. This is a serious breach of our constitution. Its a serious threat to our system of government. The president got crushed in this election, so ive been perplexed by the reaction since the election, a sort of in your face dramatic move to the left. So i dont know what we can expect in terms of reaching bipartisan agreement. Weve got a hint though, dont we . Boehner and mcconnells voices are somehow fresher than theyve been and fresher than those of the g. O. P. Hopefuls, at least for right now. And when controlling twothirds of the government in about a months time, those voices will soon be even stronger. Up next, the white house claims a deal with turkey to fight the Islamic State in syria is near. However, the turkish leader hosting one of bashar alassads best allies. Best allies. We take it up here next. Dad, i know i havent said this often enough, but thank you. Thank you mom for protecting my future. Best allies. We take it up here next. Thank you for being my hero and my dad. Military families are uniquely thankful for many things, the legacy of usaa Auto Insurance could be one of them. If youre a current or former military member or their family, get an Auto Insurance quote and see why 92 of our members plan to stay for life. The white houses state Department Today contradicting one another about proposals to create a nofly zone along the turkey Syrian Border following reports that turkish officials have narrowed their differences with the United States in a joint military mission proposal. Joining us now retired fourstar army general, general jack keen, chairman of the institute for the study of war, fox news military analyst. Good to have you with us. What do you make of a Statement Department and a white house that cant even agree on whats been agreed to or discussed . I think after vicepresident biden visited turkey a couple of weeks ago, this issue became a little closer between turkey and the United States. But for some reason the white house staffers really have rained on this thing. What the issue is here, the president of turkey has insisted from the outset that you cannot just deal with isis. You have to deal with assad because assad is reeking havoc in syria, killing hundreds of thousands of people and also bombing and attacking the very forces that were trying to assist inside of syria. So the fact of the matter is we have resisted all those overtours. This is the issue, lou, that got secretary hagel in trouble with the administration. He felt the syria strategy was flawed and we need to do something about the assad regime. The administration always counters and says there is no military solution in syria. Well, no one says there is. But if you took assads air power away as the president of turkey is advocating or at least limit it severely, you begin to get the possibility of a political solution because assad becomes defanged and those around him start looking for other answers. If erdogan wants assad out and wants them dead, why doesnt he attack . He has the military to do it. He can trounce syrias forces, could he not . Oh, yes. He could clearly make a difference. But he wants to have his cake and eat it, too. He has been the hell with his cake. Weve seen this thing before. The worlds only super power being used as a proxy for some twobit state. Are you kidding me . I agree with you. The fact of the matter is we also want to get his bases. Its been frustrating not being able to use the bases that he has. Listen, this is a member of n. A. T. O. , lou, and were having difficulty im not nearly as impressed with that as i once was, let me be very clear, general. N. A. T. O. Looks to me right now like a paper tiger of immense proportions. We havent responded in ukraine. We didnt respond in crimea. Were played for a fool in turkey. We havent made a decision about how to destroy the Islamic State and we have n. A. T. O. Allies involved in that socalled coalition effort. Were not doing well here, are we, general . No. The strategy were trying to work out is only an improvement. Start bombing assads air power who is in fact bombing the guys were trying to help. Theyre killing the guys faster in syria than we can train them. We know we have a problem with a strategy in iraq. We didnt have enough people there to really make a difference. The fact of the matter is this is going to get dragged out, and the longer you drag it out, it favors isis, to be quite frank about it. Heres another opportunity, i think, to make some progress in syria. But it looks like the administration is going to fold its hand and not take this overture that turkey is offering to work out a deal. I think theyre just going to shut it down. And what do we then do with our forces that are against the Islamic State, our principally air forces . The air forces have got to increase in intensity. Weve been doing some of that. This weekend we went after rocker pretty heavily. Thats good news. Thats where the command control is, the socalled capital of the Islamic State. The facts are though, lou, the hand that we got tied behind our back is when we get close to this enemy, the fact that we do not have air ground controllers to make that air power more effective will always mean that were not going to be able to maximize the results that we want to achieve. Our pilots know that. Theres also coming out of the white house micro managing the socalled rules of engagement as it surrounds the potential for civilian casualties to the point where many targets that could be struck are, in fact, not being struck and our guys are frustrated by that. General jack keen, thanks for being with us. We appreciate your insight as always. Always good talking to you, lou. Fox news contribute ermon ka Monica Crowley and jedidiah bila. Great to have you with us and thanks for being so nice on the show monday. Thanks. We try. Great show. Let me start with this bizarre appearance by the secretary for homeland security. He made so little sense, was so convoluted, and the committee seemed like they were giving up on the whole idea of getting a responsive answer from him. They kept pressing the answers particularly on immigration and he kept giving the same routine answer which is he believes the president had the Congressional Authority to do what he did last week. It was like pulling teeth. He was as late as yesterday in the running to be the defense secretary. Are we surprised though . I think americans at home when they watched this, they never really expect to get answers and they never really expect any accountability so it seems like a bunch of people asking questions and a bunch of nonanswers. It never solves anything. Im not much more excited than the audience youre describing. To hear johnson go about, as i said, his convoluted response which was basically, he sounded like a purist act late of the president saying that he listened to some but not all of what the president had said about his Legal Authority to do what most people think is very illegal, and based on listening to those excerpts, he thinks theres a legal justification. This is a politician to the ejts degree. This is the department of home lant secured thats posed to be enforcing the border, our immigration laws and hes out there on capitol hill dancing around every single question because the fact is that this house, this administration, they dont have any facts on their side, they dont have the law on their side, they dont have the constitution on their side. Theres nothing else for him to say except the nonsense that he spewed today. Turning to the other side here in this, and thats the republicans, boehner and mcconnell already sound like theyre working together, theyre coordinating. Thats not something i had anticipated. I think they realize they have to. The Republican Party needs to come together and come up with a plan. They need to be proactive and say theyre not just the party of no and denying what the president wants just for the sake of it. Do you think theyre the party of no . Now its going to be the president of no. Thats true but the democrats are media savvy. They can sake something that the republicans are doing right and paint it as republicans doing it wrong. The republicans have to be one step ahead and on immigration i think theyre. Theyre going to prioritize Border Security and i think theyre going to try to do something piecemeal and at the same time break down this overreach of the president and remind people that thats not how you get things done. Jeb bush, he said hes pretty sure he didnt know if he would be good or bad but he thinks he ought to think more about being the president. That was one of the most inspirational moments in american history. You need a rationale to run forpresident. Hillary clinton certainly doesnt have one but in my mind hes the worst of all possible worlds for candidate for president. Hes not a conservativist. Hes a gentleman which when youre running for president oftentimes you must not be a gentleman. Third, the bush family and the Clinton Family are very close which means he will not do what is required in order to defeat Hillary Clinton which is destroy her. Dont you think thats what the American People want though, a rerun of a bush and a clinton. They also want a moderate. No, they want somebody whos strong. They dont want somebody who has backed common core thats highly unpopular out there. Ive been saying we need fresh flood, someone whos not afraid to do combat on stage and fight for whats important and i think hes the guy. Stay tuned because were going to find out as the weeks go by who monica and jedidiah think is the guy. Thanks so much. Pleasure. Up next, a racially charged department of justice, a constitutionally challenged department of homeland security. The president s agenda is carrying on. Next, our legal minds, the brightest in the land. Atrneyener holr no ha a pl to e racl ofilg deit a rcordof ilinto forcaumbe of laws joing us now two of the best attorneys in the business, lease wheel and mercedes colon, both fox news legal analysts. Great to have you with us. Lets start with the pronouncement by eric holder profiling. George bush back in 2003 passed laws on this after 9 11. He said there are some minor exceptions for counterterror m counterterrorism, that kind of thing, so its already on the books. Mostly every state in the union has one of these laws. To make a blanket Statement Like that, meaning that the entire country has a racial bias is so irresponsible. You have such a responsibility to the public at large and you make these types of comments . Guys, local law enforcement, state law enforcement, county, what must these people be feeling as they listen to the president of the United States speak as if theres some sort of insensitive incaring group of if there are Police Officers putting their lives in danger every day, what theyre thinking is, are you, attorney general holder, saying that im a racist . Just blanket that im a racist. This is a man who began as attorney general by saying essentially were a nation of cowards when it comes to race. Do you think anybody gives a damn what the attorney general says . Lets be honest . To your point, i think what lisa is saying is certainly true. Youre a cop putting your life at risk and now youre saying im going to violate the laws . Its a presumption of fact. The de facto amnesty that this president has created, hes ruling by fiat. Hes moved an em peer yal presidency. It is an authoritarian office he has created. We dont know yet, he may be indifferent to the judiciary as well. How many times did we hear him say i cant change the immigration laws. 20 times. 20 times, but somehow, now ive changed immigration laws. Im not satisfied with the laws. By the way, without explanation as to why a hard left after a Midterm Election that absolutely was a repud yags of his policy. Because hes thinking i can, im out of here in two years. To have no regard whatsoever for the tradition, the conventions, the framers and the paper and the words written on it called the constitution. I love that he relies on a memo in the internal office but in that same memo they say this right is not unlimited. In fact, the Justice Department is saying that he shouldnt have carried out the deferred action. I mean, its breathtaking. Lets turn to, if we may, the idea that somehow there is an absolute rejection of the grand jury in ferguson, missouri. This president is indifferent to what a grand jury found. Theres no respect or regard in the National Media for that matter, in much of the National Media for the physical evidence and the witness testimony from individuals of color who supported officer wilson. If we have to make a judgment based on color as to whether or not someone is what is the word . Telling the truth . A probative witness. This is the president who said theres going to be a post racial society. My god, he has put nerve endings on fire. Lets face it, the witnesses in that case were all over the place, the eye witnesses. We know eye witness testimony is often fallible. Nothing unusual about that. Nothing unusual. Forensic evidence is forensic evidence. Physical evidence. Exactly. Autopsy reports done, one by dr. Michael baden hired by the brown family, finding that it was consistent with his running towards the officer, not away. Selfdefense. The idea, too, that right now the American People are listening to a president who is going to rule by fiat. We talked about amnesty. Were talking about all this administration is doing. There is nothing, says john boehner, that the congress can do. The congress and the senate run by republicans. Wheth when are we going to see checks and balances instituted. If we have to say in january of 2017, were in real big trouble. Undoubtedly. And theres nothing we can do. Weve got two years of this. The voters cant step in at this point. The die is cast. They can make a change in 2016. Until then its going to be problematic. Agreed. Unfortunately. Thank you very much, ladies. Great to have you both here. Thanks, lou. Now the wrapup. The Obama Administration put its traveling political troop on a lofty stage last night. The attorney general going to atlanta, going to the ebenezer Baptist Church, of which dr. Martin luther king preached and led the civil rights movement. At lebaneser baptist, eric holders wrapup led him to declare that he would end racial profiling forever, but he apparently forgot, president george w. Bush had already done that. He did it in 2001, declaring that racial profiling was wrong. The president more than a decade ago ordered the prohibition of racial profiling all together by federal law enforcement. How nice it would have been for the attorney general to acknowledge all of the shoulders upon which he was standing as he took the stage last night. Perhaps grace that wouldnt suit the Obama White House brand of political tonight on war stories. Soldiers on skis. We are an experimental unit. The brave men who took on the German Army High in the mountains of italy. Everything had to be attacked going up the hill. Including senator bob dole, who near ly paid with his life.
