The meeting comes just days after antitrump forces met in washington d. C. To talk about their strategy. Joining me now dr. Sam clovis is with me on the phone. Sam, thank you so much for the time. So how did the meeting go . Well, i happen to be in the iowa, so i wasnt present at the meeting. But i can assure you given the people involved, im sure it was very frank, it was very direct, and also i would suggest that probably everybody came out of there with a lot better feeling of where we are. Deirdre okay. A better feeling about where you are. Because as i mentioned just a few days ago, people who dont want trump to be the nominee also met also had a similar strategy session. Well, i really think, you know, again, i hate to use the phrase. But i think theyre whistling past the graveyard. I think what theyre really out there doing is a lot of wishful thinking. If you take a look at where we are the path of the delegate count. We stand an excellent chance of getting to 1237 before the convention. If we get to 1237 before the convention, everybody will have to figure out to come onboard, and i think they will. Deirdre okay. Now, on a quick programming note, just sorry we want to let our viewers know representative Chris Collins will be with Charles Payne. That discussion comes their way in about an hours time. So you want to stay tuned for that. But trump did name Foreign Policy team member, sam, i want to ask you about this. So for those who dont believe in him, for those who say okay. Hes really just an entertainer. Will they be reassured by list and of course Jeff Sessions at the top of it. I think so and i think one of the things youll take a look at here is these are not establishment people. These are hard working people. These are people who have great reputations in the field. Ive had the opportunity to interview every one of them. Ive sat down and talked to every one of them. Ive had the opportunity to see where they were with a lot of these issues. And one of the things i think is distinctive particularly in the military members is these are men who have made hard decisions in combat. And they have a very clear picture and very real picture of where we are in the world. And their advice is very direct and, again, its the nature of our campaign. Direct and to the point and blunt. And i think this is exactly the kind of information we need. Theres no melissa so, sam, not to cut you off. But the idea is donald trump never served in the military. And so youre saying by choosing people around him, hes showing his leadership skills. In that hes picking people who really do have qualifications. Absolutely. And frankly i count myself among them. Im a 25 year veteran myself. So i ive got a couple of years in the combat zone. So when it comes to sitting down and talking to people, i think we have a pretty good idea of what were looking for, and i think we found some excellent people. Deirdre okay. We take your word on that seriously. Especially with you say as a quarter of a century of experience in the field. Now, in a bit for unity, trump says the republicans will lose the general election without him. We just want to play one clip from him saying that, and then ill get your take on it, sam. Sure. I dont know whats going to happen. But i will say this. Youre going to have a lot of very unhappy people. And i think frankly for the republicans to disenfranchise all those people because if that happens, theyre not voting and the republicans lose. Do you tell your supporters not to riot if you if you lose fair and square . Well, i would certainly tell them that but these people they want to see positive things happen for our country. And i would certainly say that. I dont want to see riots. Deirdre so, sam, this is for many people who want to support trump but cant quite lets say do that last mile for him. Is that on the one hand he does show leadership by reaching out to people such as yourself. On the other hand, there are has been language that the other candidates arent using in this kind of populous swell. As somebody who is a thinker and a supporter, how do you reconcile the two . Well, i think for i appreciate what you just said. That means an awful lot to me. The i do think we have a lot of people who have been able to finally touch they have someone that they accountable in. And i think that there is a lot of out here on that part of it. I do think and one of the things weve always said. And i think mr. Trump has reiterated this. As long as everybody follows the rule, as long as everybody follows a rule, theres not going to be any issue. Now, people may get disappointed, but we want to make sure we follow the rules as they are today. We dont want people changing the rules. We dont want all of that other nastiness coming on. Deirdre yeah, youre asking for fairness. Exactly. And thats all weve ever asked for. And the request he you have to ask yourself, deirdre, is why have so many of these republicans who supposedly have demanded that mr. Trump essentially sign a loyalty oath now are the ones who are out here barking the loudest about not wanting to be part of the Republican Party . You have to ask yourself that question. So the hypocrisy seems to have no bounds when it comes to that side of the equation. Deirdre so, sam, your point is well taken. I think its just jockeying. Its a very long season as anybody would tell you. Republican candidates john kasich, donald trump are set to speak this hour at the pro israel conference. So trump made some comments about israel over the weekend. We just want to bring our viewers up to speed in case they didnt hear them. Hold on. Okay. Well, im just going to paraphrase because we dont have the sound byte. But essentially he implied that he would be neutral. In israel palestinian talks. So, again, is this somebody whos wise and diplomatic . Or is this somebody who doesnt support israel . No. No. No. Nothing could be further from the truth. My goodness his daughter and soninlaw and grandchildren are jewish. So i he has a long history of supporting israel. He is one of the most adamant supporters i know on a personal basis because of my conversations with him. And talking about this very issue. I think what hes trying to say and perhaps people are misconstruing what hes saying, hes saying so if youre going to ask the american youre going to ask the American People and the president of the United States to sit down and arbitrate and mediate a Peace Agreement between the Palestinian Authority and the israelis, then you have to figure out a way to come into that so that you can have an objective open mind so that you can properly mediate that issue. This is not about being neutral. Because his support for israel is unwavering and strong. Its about the idea if you ask the president of the United States to negotiate, that you have to go in, and there has to be give and take on both sides. If you want an honest broker, and you want that person to do. Thats the approach that has to be taken. Deirdre okay. If you go in and say that im all in for israel and so, no, matter what the Palestinian Authority says. Deirdre right . Im all in for israel. Deirdre youre already thats not an honest broke broker. Deirdre Hillary Clinton, however, is really hammering this point home about donald trump. Heres a comment she just made. Okay. For some reason were having technical difficulties, sam. Thank you for bearing with us. But essentially she is saying that she has supported a Free Independent israel and his stance is unclear. But what i want to know is bigger than this. Yeah. Melissa in a general election if it ends up being donald trump versus Hillary Clinton, how is he going to handle this issue . Well, i think the other thing is hes been honest. Hes been up front and honest about it. I think you know, the issue as a businessman. Ends this. And what were really after if you truly want peace, then lets go in here, and you ask the american president to mediate a Peace Agreement. Then were going to have to sit down and bear our souls together at the table. I think it is irresponsible and frankly disingenuous to because it in here deirdre were now having technical difficulties it sounds like with your line. So well see if we can get sam back. That of course was dr. Sam clovis, and he is the national cochair of the donald trump campaign. So just to reiterate, right now in washington d. C. Two candidates. We are waiting for them to speak. One of them is donald trump. Youre looking at a live shot there. That of course is the American Israel Public Affairs committee. This is a big convention. It is annual. So this evening donald trump will be speaking. Also Ohio Governor john kasich will be speaking as well. We will take you there live. Also worth noting, there are some planned protests actually around that event, around Donald Trumps speaking time. So we will, in fact, take you there live if that does start to happen. But ahead of the primary, donald trump joking about whether mitt romney is a true norman. Some say the humor in that comment. Some dont. Were going to talk about it. In arizona protesters blocking the road outside of one of Donald Trumps events. We will tell you why and what a member of john kasichs camp said in response. I think its very unfair that these really in many cases, professional and many cases sick protesters can put cars in a row blocking thousands of great americans from coming to a speech and nobody says anything about that. Hey hows it going, hotcakes . Hotcakes. This place has hotcakes. So why arent they selling like hotcakes . With comcast Business Internet and wifi pro, they could be. When it comes to the fithings you love,. You want more. Love romance . Get lost in every embrace. Into sports . Follow every pitch, every play and every win. Change the way you experience tv with x1 from xfinity. Let me be very, very clear. As president , i will not be neutral. [cheers and applause] america will stand unapologetically with the nation of israel. We see people that are anxious and concerned of the future. But the last thing we need to do is poor gasoline on a fire. I think we need to be in a room and acknowledge the problems and also offer solutions that can unify the country. Deirdre youre looking right now at a live shot. This is happening in washington d. C. Its the American Israel Public Affairs Committee Policy conference. So it is annual. Candidates there taking turns trying to win the pro israel votes. Governor kasich and donald trump two candidates who may start speaking shortly, so we will get you there live as soon as they do. In the meantime, im pleased to welcome back former special assistant from george w. Bush, current kasich supporter ron christie. Ron, welcome back to the program. Always a pleasure to be with you. Deirdre so i assume that governor kasichs strategy is going to be to play up his years of experience. Maybe show at least in his view, that trump seems unpredictable or senator cruz is essentially still a freshman senator. Do you think thats going to be kasichs strategy . Well, i would put it to you this way. One thing about governor kasich and having worked for him for eight years as a legislative director in congress, hes not interested of what other people are doing as opposed to what hes doing. And what hes done, when he was in the congress and the Armed Service committee for 18 years. He has traveled to israel, he has traveled to the middle east and governor kasich recognizes that israel is our strongest ally, our strongest democratic partner in the middle east, and we need to find a way to have peace in the middle east. And i think hes going to reinforce those themes and that message in front of apec this evening. Deirdre okay. And as far as where he is going to stand. You know, with Hillary Clinton we were talking about this has been very tough in the public on donald trump. Accusing donald trump of being neutral when it comes to israel and palestine. How what is governor kasichs message . No. Theres no neutrality here. We need to stand firmly, strongly, and solidly behind the jewish of israel. And there should be no peace deal, no peace negotiations until the palestinians unequivocally reject terrorism, reject the violence that has been fostered for so many years. And governor kasich is going to say to the folks of apec tonight, we stand shoulder to you shoulder with you as americans but we recognize the jewish state, the jewish in israel and allies and we will not have a negotiated settlement with the palestinians until they reject terrorism and violence. Deirdre ron, your points are heard. I want to ask you a broader question about the campaign. Because yesterday donald trump spoke at a admin florida, and he spoke about the governor. And also about ted cruz. Heres donald trump. Now, im down to two leftovers. I have two leftovers. I have lying ted. And i have john. Okay . I have and i think well be n great shape. I mean but heres the thing. Look, n all seriousness. We you have to beat your enemy; right . Dont you have to . Deirdre so how does this set up . Obviously strong words, dismissive words for the other two candidates. Kasich and senator cruz, what does this mean ahead of arizona and ahead of utah . Well, tomorrows a very important night for the three gentlemen who are still running for the republican nomination. I think what we need to recognize here is that we need to have a leader, someone whos willing to say what theyre willing to do, how theyre willing to do it, and how they have a positive vision for america. And i think donald trump is very short on specifics. Very short on how he would exactly lead america other than say okay. Lets make america great. Thats a nice throw away line. But governor kasich has been very strong in saying were going to balance the budget. Were going to have a Strong National defense. Were going to defeat isis. Were going to stand shoulder to shoulder with our allies in israel. And senator lying ted cruz as donald trump would say. I talked with him a few minutes ago. Ted cruz, again, very specific about what he would want to do but oddly enough donald trump is very short on the specifics. Deirdre kasich did speak on fox news about the likelihood of a contested convention. Heres his comment, and then i want to ask you a followup, ron, hold on. Nobody is going to have enough delegates. We are going to go to a convention. Its going to be open. Im very comfortable with heading to that convention with momentum and more delegates. And well let the people there make a choice. Deirdre so, ron, if we look, though, at the remaining delegates that are needed for nomination, kasich needs Something Like 105 . So mathematically impossible, which is why hes talking about the convention. But what does he need to do to stay in and show strength between now and cleveland in july . Well, very simple. He needs to continue to win more delegates, and he needs to continue to get his message out to the American People. He is relying a very sunny, very positive campaign, talking about how hell balance the budget. How hell promote a Strong National defense, and how hell stand strong with our allies. Look, theres no one of the three republicans at this juncture do i need theyre going to get to 1237 . No, they wont. But lets bac duong at 1932. Robert taft he was supposed to be the republican nominee. You know what . The republicans recognized we need to go with general eisenhower because hes the best candidate that can win. I think if you get to the convention, governor kasich will stand up and stand tall and folks will recognize this is the man who can win and beat secretary of state Hillary Clinton and become the next president of the United States. Thats what hes willing to do. Deirdre ron, how much is it hurting him, though, for example, mitt romney, mitt romney went and stumped for governor kasich. Hes been making robocalls for utah on behalf of senator cruz. Look, were not so much focused on what governor romney was doing. It was helpful for him to come out to ohio and support governor kasich and his track record of leadership. But he went out and said something in you told that, hey, i am supporting ted cruz. You need to vote for ted cruz. We are looking at what governor kasich will do for america. Not what governor romney, someone who has been a former governor and friend of mine is a is saying about other candidates. We are focused on his leadership and positive vision moving forward. Its not that much of a detraction or detriment to us. Romney will be a friend of ohio and friend in the future when kasich becomes the next president of the United States. Deirdre thank you for the time. Cheers. Deirdre ron christie with me there. Supporter of ron kasich. Well, donald trump tweeted last night cuban leader row youll castro has no respect for president obama. He tweeted wow obama just landed in kuhn cuba. A big deal. Castro was not even there. He greeted the pope and others. No respect. Also pointed out the flight yesterday. Hes landed in cuba and castro, or fidel castro, but the head of cuba wasnt there to greet him. Folks, what are we doing . What are we doing . Heres how a thing like that is supposed to work. Number one, he has his people call up say whos going to be greeting the president . If they say nobody, you dont go until somebodys there. The head of cuba who was there for the pope and he was there for other dignitaries that come in, but he wasnt there for the president of the United States. I mean we are amateur hour, folks. Obama should have turned the plane around and left. Im not knocking castro. If we can get away from this tough, its great. Make it a great deal. Deirdre back with me now, Trump National campaign cochair sam clovis on the phone. Sam, great to have you back. Sorry to have the technical difficulties with the phone. Realistically, though, you just heard Donald Trumps comment there. Could any president turn around a plane on a Diplomatic Mission . Well, i do think that frankly theres a precedent for this. And ill just give you a moment in history when Douglas Macarthur was having issues with harry truman, harry truman stayed airborning in mccarter was there to greet him. But that was inside basically stuff. I think theres a level of respect. And this should have been arranged ahead of time. The president should have been known should have known that he would be greeted by the head of state, which is protocol. And if he was not going to be greeted by the head of state, individually somebodys butt over in the state department. Because thats thats unprecedented. Uncalled for. And frankly, its embarrassing. If i were i think the president should have made an issue of that. And we should never be talking about it. I mean the fact that were talking about it tells you everything you need to know. Deirdre how do you see this with cuba . There are u. S. Hotels 200million there. Yeah. Deirdre so in some ways if the u. S. Can restore a relationship with cuba, which is not so far from florida, we protect ourselves; right . Well, i think there is a i can get my head around the notion of normalizing relationship with cuba. I really can. Im not as a republican and a conservative im not as as verse to it as a lot of people might be. And the reason is it might be because one of the things ive always theorized on is the fact when you start interviewing the free market into a country, youre sooner or later going to be asking if you have choice to the marketplace, you will start to ask choice at the ballot box. And it may take a generation or two, but that is an eventuality that will occur. And i really think this is really whats going to happen. The castros are going to going to die out, their generation is going to be gone. The next generation is going to see the real world in front of me. They have the opportunity to gain wealth and wealth for everyone in the country. So the country overall would be better off with the market economy. And then eventually youll see that government change. And i really think thats a possibility. So im okay with normalizing replacing. But i think it ought to be done on the upandup. And i think that the head of state should have met the president of the United States. Whether i respect barack obama or not, hes still the president of the United States and should have been respected. Deirdre should have been respected. Point well taken on that. I want to ask you, sam, if you dont mind because we referenced it a little bit earlier the fact donald trump, and it is a list that you are comfortable with. Yeah. Deirdre as somebody who has served our country for a quarter of a century peoples no. That is hes starting to name certain members of his Foreign Policy team. Right. Deirdre senator ted cruz says if donald trump is nominated, Hillary Clinton wins and there is this understanding about Foreign Policy experience. Heres the comment. If we nominate donald trump, hillary wins. If you dont want to see Hillary Clinton as the president , then i ask every one of you to come out tuesday and vote for me ten times. Deirdre so. All right. Some humor there on the part of senator cruz. Which is usually Donald Trumps hallmark. Right . Deirdre but what do you make of that . That appeal . Well, i think the issue is really interesting that senator cruz would come out and make comments about the Foreign Policy. The thing is you may have Foreign Policy experience. But if its bad experience, its better to have no experience and not that mr. Trump doesnt. Because mr. Trump has done business deals all over the world. And if youve gone out and have to negotiate trust me. I know about this. Because ive had to do it myself. If you go out and negotiate with other countries, you have to deal with those governments. You have to deal with unions. You have to deal with their regulations and rules. You probably know more about the Foreign Policy or particular country doing a business deal there than anybody who can sit there and read a briefing book. And whats worse is Hillary Clintons Foreign Policy is going to be a lot Barack Obamas and look where thats gotten us. So i would rather have someone who has a much clearer picture of the world. Much more realistic. Frankly deirdre more practically. View of the world that is actually is deals with that ideology. And i think mr. Trumps view is very pragmatic, very realistic. And i think youll see more and more of that as we put out more policy as we go along. Deirdre dr. Sam clovis, thank you so much for the time. Glad to have your thoughts on all of these different parts of the campaign. He is the national cochair of the campaign for donald trump. Republican president ial candidates are hitting, in fact, the campaign trail in arizona. In a lastditch effort to woo voters ahead of tomorrows primary. And were going to stop amnesty and secure the borders and end sanctuary city and end Welfare Benefits for those here illegally. Deirdre former Republican House majority leader tom delay is with me now. Thank you, sir. Im glad youre here. Thank you, deirdre. Deirdre what do you make of first and foremost what is going on in dc . The American Israel Public Affairs committee . This annual meeting and the candidates trying to show essentially that they respect israels position in the world. Well, i would love to hear what trumps position is. I dont know what his position is on anything. Hes about an inch deep and specifics are where he is on anything. If he goes to apec and talks about neutrality and the fact that his top priority is to negotiate a peace treaty. You dont make peace, you dont make deals with terrorists. You stand with israel. And when these terrorists step aside or die or go away, then you can start negotiating with some moderates. Deirdre Donald Trumps list of Foreign Policy advisors, that doesnt reassure you at all . Are you kidding . Theres over 100 top generals and officers that have signed a letter about a month ago that swore that they would never vote for donald trump. Because they know that this man doesnt know what hes talking about. Look about cuba when you asked sam clovis about cuba. His whole position on cuba is because castro didnt meet the president on the plane. What about the fact that theyre oppressive dictators . That they have oppressed their people for 80 years. They kill people in prison and kill people just on a whim. This whole notion once the castros are gone, good people are going to move in . Castros soninlaw are already taking over and running most of the government and theyre going to step right in. Thats what trump ought to be talking about. Not the fact that roulle didnt meet the president on the tarmac. It just shows how shall h shallow he is. Deirdre something i brought up with sam clovis but this idea that china has been doing pretty sizable deals with the countries in the caribbean and getting closer and closer to asd 200 million in jamaica, 200 million in some other islands part of this socalled cabbage strategy. Should we be worried about that . We should be worried about it. I was raised in venezuela. I even when i was 13 years old, i had an incident in havana, cuba with castro. So i understand whats going on in central and south america. The problem is we have an administration for seven years that has turned the other way and has allowed all of this to happen. And now theyre opening up theyre opening up with a the most communist country in our hemisphere. We have a president thats negotiating with a communist dictator that kills people. We have got to get somebody that knows what theyre talking about to be president of the United States so that they can set a policy for this hemisphere, particularly in the caribbean and particularly in central america. Or were going to be in a world of hurt. Deirdre congressman, im so glad and thank you for sharing that firstperson experience. It must have been herring. I want to talk more about that and some other issues. Stay with me, please. You bet. Deirdre majority leader tom delay going to hang with us here. We are still waiting for governor kasich and also donald trump scheduled to speak this hour at the American Israel Public Affairs conference. It is happening in dc. So we will bring you there once one of the candidates starts speaking. Hollywood could be rallying to support donald trump, at least some members of the community. Actor says he supports donald trump. Find out why. Well be right back in just a few minutes you owned your car for four years, you named it brad. You loved brad. And then you totaled him. You two had been through everything together. Two boyfriends, three jobs. Youre like nothing can replace brad. Then Liberty Mutual calls, and you break into your happy dance. If you sign up for better car replacementâ„¢, well pay for a car thats a model year newer with 15,000 fewer miles than your old one. Deirdre Governor John Kasich is beginning his speech at the aipac policy conference in washington, d. C. I first visited israel in 1983 with my late dear friend. I actually visited bethlehem. You can manage it was a very special moment. [inaudible] to know and appreciate the importance of our relationship with israel. And the unique security challenges. I cant think of a better time to [inaudible] 983 when her husband was still in a soviet prison. She told me her husbands story over lunch at the King David Hotel in jerusalem and said she was going to washington to plead for his release. I asked her, would you mind if i organized a rally. So we came together in a bipartisan way to call for his release. When the meeting with president reagan ended she was told by the president , i will not rest until your husband is free. Her tory has always inspired me from the day gordie first introduced me. But i dont know how many of you here have read his book, fear no evil. He wrote in that book as i related to him, he said im glad that you thought when they went to him in the prison, they wanted him to confess something, and they said to him, well, you understand that galileo even confessed. And think about sharanski sitting in that prison in solitary confinement an thought to himself and used them, you are using galileo against me . No one will ever use me again any other prisoner of conscience. For that he deserves to always be remembered. I had a phone conversation with naton for years but i never had a chance to meet him. Ironically i met him at the cemetery when we maid gordie zachs to rest where naton gave the eulogy on behalf tour great friend. I remain unwavering in my support for the jewish state and the unique partnership between the youth and israel. D between the United States and israel. [applause] when i was first introduced to israel and some of it leaders, the core of our partnership with israel was well defined. And we give thanks to harry truman and the courageous steps he took when israel was first established. I applaud our continued support for the jewish state and the vitality and struggle of the jewish people. This is something i will honor in my administration and will take steps to strengthen and expand. [applause] i want you all to know Something Special to me it was at a ceremony recognizing the holocaust that as governor i proposed me build a permanent memorial so our young people could understand the history and the lesson of mans inhumanity to man and the incredible suffering visited upon the jews across the globe. I worked with such prominent members of the Jewish Community over three years to make it happen. They told me it could not be done, and i said you watch me. Well build a memorial. The memorial finally was finally designed, and it was the first of its kind in the nation. And you all please come to columbus and look at it. Its just beautiful. But i want to tell you a very good friend of mine, victor goodman, a prominent member of the Jewish Community in ohio asked me to take him over to look at the memorial before it was unveiled. We walked over behind the tarp. I had my arm around his shoulder and we read the inscription and the memorial together. And i will never forget when he finished reading are it, you buried his head in my chest and wept. And we wept together. And he looked at me and said, john, thank you for what you have done here. This will exist as long as the state of ohio exists. I served on the house Armed Services committee for 18 years. And i worked with reagan to defeat the soviet union. We assured israels continuing qualitative military edge by offering the initial 10 million for the arrow iron dome antimissile program that we know is so critical to the security of israel. [applause] we supported the program guaranteeing israeli air superiority with the latest fighters and the transfer of Reactive Armor Technology that has made the israeli tanks so effective. I think it can be fairly said that my support and friendship for our Strategic Partner israel has been firm and unwavering for 35 years of my professional life. Israel is the only democracy in the east in that hasnt turned away from faithful friends. Americas and israels interests are tightly intertwined despite our inevitable disagreements from time to time. We share a common interest in the middle east, the unrelenting opposition to irans attempts to develop nuclear weapons. [applause] in march of 2015 when the Prime Minister spoke out against the Iran Nuclear Deal before a joint session of congress, i flew to washington and stood on the floor of the house of representatives that was in session, the first time i visited since we had been in session in 15 years, and i did it to show my personal respect to the people of israel. [applause] and i want you all to know that i call fort suspension of the u. S. Participation in the Iran Nuclear Deal in reaction to irans recent Ballistic Missile test. [cheers and applause] these tests were both a violation of the spirit of the nuclear deal and provecation that can no longer be ignored. One of the missiles tested had print on it in hebrew, israel must be exterminated. I will gather the world to lead to us reapply sanctions if iran violates one crossed t or one dot of that nuclear deal. And well put the sanctioned back against iran together. [applause] let me also tell you, no amount of money being made by any business will stand in the way of the need to make sure the security of israel is secured and iran does not have a nuclear weapon. No amount of money can push us in the wrong direction. I want you to be assured in a Kasich Administration there will be no more delusional agreements with selfdeclared enemies. [cheers and applause] as a candidate in this race with the deepest and most far reaching Foreign Policy and National Security experience, i dont need onthejob training. I will not have to learn about the dangers facing this country and our allies. I have lived these matters for decades. One day on day one in the oval office i will have in place a solid team of dedicated people who will implement a long the term program to insure the safety of this country and israel. My National Security appointees will work tirelessly with israel to counter irans aggression and sponsorship of terror. Well defeat is where in syria and iraq. Well interdict iranian financial supplies to hamas. Ill also work to build and expand on israels new found regional relations as a result of the flawed Iran Nuclear Deal. Israel and the arab gulf states are now closer than ever. The bad news is the u. S. Is not part of this new web of relations. I will work to participate in, expand and strengthen those the ties. Israelis live in one of the worlds roughest neighborhoods and iran is not the only threat that the u. S. And is rail both face there. Isis, headquartered in syria and iraq is a mortal peril. Of course, ladies and gentlemen its spread must be stopped. Since its dedicated to destruction in israel, the middle east, europe, africa and the United States its a threat to all civilization unless we recognize and unite around this central truth, well remain committed to an edge effective and piecemeal approach to dealing with isis. Because the world recognizes the threat posed by isis, i believe i can lead a regional and nato coalition to defeat isis from the air and on the ground in syria and iraq. We are all in this together. I will also provide support and relief to our common ally jordan that shares the brunts of refugee flows and ill bring our troops home as soon as we together with our allies have created a realistic prospect that regional powers can conclude a settlement involving longterm security. My administration will cooperate with our allies to deny libyas oil as a resource. Deny libya as a platform. And disband what has become a hub for acts of terror throughout africa. I will support our common vital ally jit in its efforts to vital ally egypt. And gift support needed to defeet al qaeda, the taliban and isis, then ill bring our troops in afghanistan back home. [applause] insurgent states such as iran and transnational terrorist actors such as isis are not the only threats israel, the Jewish American community and america face. A Kasich Administration will tbrorkt beginning to block and eliminate intell rons, bigotry, racism, antisemitism whether domestic or international, particularly in international bodies. I condemn all attempts to isolate, pressure and delegitimize the state of israel and ill support Congress Efforts to allow this activity here in the e. U. Im also concerned about riseing are attacks on israel and our jewish student on college campuses. [cheers and applause] i pledge to use the full force of the white house to fight this scourge and ill make sure we have the tools needed to protect student from intimidation and hate speech while supporting free speech on our college campuses. I have been horrified by the recent spate of palestinian attacks on israeli citizens. They are part of an unprecedented wave of terror that has involved over 200 attacks on israelis since october, 2015, and they are the outcome of a culture of death that the Palestinian Authority and it forebearers have promoted for over 50 years. [cheers and applause] indoctrination of hate has long been part of a planned and well thought out strategy. Palestinian children engaged in martyrdom. Childrens textbooks have been filled with antisemitism. Families of suicide bombers receive an annuity. And the public square, streets and even soccer tournaments are named after terrorists. If they want peace with israel, then palestinians cannot promote a culture of hatred and death. We must make it clear well not tolerate such behavior. And i do not believe there is any prospect for a Permanent Peace until the Palestinian Authority and their friend in hamas and hezbollah are prepared to take real steps to live in peace with israel and recognize israels right to exist as a jewish state and that violence is unacceptable. In the meantime, we can best advance stability in the region by providing israel our 100 support. We can make sure israel has what it need to defend itself. And working quietly to facilitate palestinian and israeli effort at reconciliation. This is what would be expected of a dependable ally. Folks, let me conclude by talking about the greatest alliances are those with countries such as israel where we share a community of values. The Postwar International System we and our allies build upon is under challenge or attack. Thats why we have to recommit ourselves to those values. We must not shy away from proclaiming and celebrating them. And why we must revitalize our alliances to defend and expand the International System built upon those values. A system that prevented global conflict and lifted people out of poverty the last 17 years. In doing this we cannot got it he lone. We must hang together and be realistic about what we can achieve. We must be counted on to stand by and invest in our friend instead of currying favor with their enemies. For effective government we have to Work Together at home as well across party and ideological lines whenever and wherever possible. This is exactly what i have done in the course of my career in public service. I reached out to the other side countless times to see how we can sit together and achieve the progress america wants and deserves. We all look back to the time of Ronald Reagan and his meetings with tip oneill where they came together to put america first, and reagan as he reached across the aisle to tip oneill, they managed to hammer out deals that gave reagan victories and implemented the military buildup that ended the cold war. But it took a conscious evident and attitude of want to go cooperate. This is what i want to do, republicans and democrats. We need to Work Together on an agenda that serves the interests of the nation as a whole. We are americans before we are republicans or democrats. We are americans. [cheers and applause] let me tell you, in regard to that, i will not take the low road to the highest office in the land. I will not do it. [cheers and applause] yes, well rededicate ourselves to reaching the bipartisan National Security policy that president reagan and the democrats achieved. And you can be assured my Strategic Program will include and incorporate israel as the bedrock partner for tour knew fuel security in the middle east. Together well combat violence incite in israel itself and its eternal capital, jerusalem. [applause] thank you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be here today in front of so many of you who have contributed so much. Im humbled by the chance to stand here at this incredible gathering of people who so much love america and so much love our great ally israel. You see, we are connected together. Its about civilization. Its about peace. Its about love. Its about togetherness. Its about healing the world. The great jewish tradition is everyone lives a life a little bigger than themselves, and that tradition has worked its way deep into my soul where i tell people all across america dig down deep, the lord made you special. Live a life bigger than yourself, lift others, heal, provide hope, provide progress. And with that the rest of this century and the relationship between the United States and israel will grow strong and stronger for the benefit and mutual security of the world. Thank you all very much, and god bless you. Deirdre that is Ohio Governor john kasich. You see him at the americanisrael Public Affairs committee. Thats a meeting he just wrapped up. A speech he just wrapped up. Its an annual event. But you heard the crowd have much with him when he spoke about unity, saying we are americans. Talking about bipartisan support and israel being the bedrock of the future for any Foreign Policy for the u. S. He spoke a lot about reagan. He mentioned president reagan 8 times in that speech. Spoke about a 100 pro israel message and fighting antisemitism here at home as much as overseas. He also reiterated if you like what i assume or a nod or quiet criticism of donald trump saying saying he will not take the low road to the highest office in the land. For that you can see still the live feed up of the Ohio Governor john kasich speaking at the americanisrael Public Affairs Committee Event in washington, d. C. My col he can Charles Payne is with you now. Making money starts this second. Charles you just heard john kasich finishing up his speech at aipac. Very soon in the next few minutes donald trump will begin to speak. Well carry that for you live. Rabbi, let me start with you. The big question going into the donald trump speech is will he remain neutral when it comes to israel and palestine . Let me mention something. The two greatest threats facing israel, one is iran nuclear capability, and two is radical islam
