With respect to the facebook page, that digital analysis is ongoing and i dont have the answer to that question. Im sorry. He was not the target . What im telling you is through the review weve done of all the evidence thus far, this was the intended point of attack for that evening. No other targets. [ inaudible question ] the question was were any other firearms fired inside besides the shooter and the police. To my knowledge, no, not at this time, i maniy a am not aware of. [ inaudible question ] i cant share that with you at this time. I can tell you that right now as we speak, there are no impending charges and i will defer to the United States attorney to comment on that. But i will tell you that i gave you a commitment when i stood before you the very first day that this happened. We will leave no stone unturned. What that means is, at the end of all of our interviews, however long that takes, if someone is able to be charged in this investigation, we will bring them to justice. Were you made aware that they were there in april kassig tcai bar . I dont have any information regarding those allegations. What did you tell us about the phone calls he is reported to have been made while he was inside while the shooting was in progress . Unfortunately, because they are subject to the investigation, they are a matter of federal evidence. I can confirm there were phone calls made. We have them. We continue to review them and analyze them, not just in content but where they came from, where they originated from or where with the calls were terminated. Other than that, nothing further to comment. [ inaudible question ] im sure there are but im not aware of any at this time. There are reports he had patronized some gay clubs in. Orlando. Is that credible . Some witnesses have said that . I dont have any knowledge of him patronizing any other clubs than this one. Sir, are you saying that if you were alerted about the casing of this [ inaudible ] maam, thats an openended question. When we are giving leads for potential terrorist information, they have to meet a certain set of criteria before we can initiate an investigation. Thats based on the totality of the circumstance at that time. Its kind of a nebulous question at this point. [ inaudible ] i will tell you that were looking at everything and i cant say whether it is specifically looking to the casing. We are looking at everything he did leading up to this attack, and as the director pointed out, we are going backwards as well to look at all of the things we knew about before and things that weve investigated in the past. This is an investigation that has an no finite end at this particular time. That goes for the beginning. Were going to go back even further than we did, if thats possible. Are you still ruling out the possibility of [ inaudible ] the investigation is ongoing at this time but the deceased subject is the main subject of this investigation. We are continuing to do interview to see if there is anybody thats associated, whether involved in the planning or execution of this act, they will be brought to justice if and when we identify someone. [ inaudible question ] thats not something i can confirm for you at this time. Can you say whether there were or were not explosives found at this club . S. She just asked that. The crime scene as i mentioned earlier is still being processed and it would be premature for me to comment on that at this time. Have you interviewed the father . I dont have any information on that. Im sorry. That was done down in the Miami Division and i dont have that information. Can you tell us the timeline between the first gunshots and the second i cant comment on that. How many hours . Any other questions . [ inaudible question ] cant comment on that at this time. Excuse me . [ inaudible question ] thats something were still attempting to determine during the course of the investigation. Again because the crime scene has not been released and all of our interviews have not been completed i cant comment on that at this time. [ inaudible question ] heres what i would say about that. This was an act of violence born out of hate that inflicted terror on an entire community. I would call it a hate crime. I would call it terrorism. It is both. [ inaudible question ] im not going to comment on our investigative techniques at this time. Are you confident that all 49 victims were killed by the gunman . I dont have the results on that. Is the shooters car still here . That is still a matter of federal evidence. It is still in our custody. [ inaudible question ] thats a good question. I can tell you that we are combing not just the street but everywhere we believe the shooter to have been, as i mentioned, in the coming days before this event. We are collecting all digital, video, electronic evidence that we can. I would ask anyone out there that thinks they may have something of fbi concern, bring it too us no matter how small. We want to see anything that you have that you may have concern with. [ inaudible question ] as i mentioned before, there are no current credible singular threats facing florida or the nation, to my knowledge. You can be assured that if and when something rises to our attention, we will make sure the public is acutely aware. When do you expect to finalize your charges . Im going to refer to ausa. As ive said before, as i said today, we do not know when charges will be finalized, to answer your question. Indeed, were not sure what charges will be brought, or if charges will be brought. I can assure you that we are working with our Law Enforcement partners to find everything we can about what happened in the pulse nightclub. Were using all Law Enforcement and legal tools to reconstruct not only the events of that nig night, but events over the past several months, not only with respect to what the shooter did in orlando, what he did in ft. Pierce. This is an exhaustive a review of evidence as you will find in the United States. Were leaving no stone your honor turned, but we simply cannot speculate on the timing of charges or whether there will be charges. It would really be unfair to not only any main person with respect to charges, but also to the public. We want to keep the public well informed and we do not want to invite idle speculation that will only hamper our efforts. We cannot put a time limit on that. The only limit we have is that were going to go until were absolutely satisfied that weve uncovered every bit of evidence thats out there and weve reviewed every possible charge. Thats when this investigation will end. It might be a matter of days. Could be weeks. Could be years. There is simply no way to determine at this time how long the investigation will last. Are you able to say whether you have any other suspects or persons of interest in connection with the case . The question was whether we have any other suspects or persons of interest. I cannot answer that question directly but i will tell you that we are investigating not only this crime, but Law Enforcement is talking to everyone associated with the shooter. The crime scene inside the pulse nightclub, still an intense crime scene. Many investigators there still doing trajectory analysis as well as crime scene mapping. The fbi is trying to get the most complete picture of the horror that unfolded sunday morning so that the public and the families of the 49 victims, as well as those of the 53 wounded customers and patrons of the pulse nightclub can find out anything they want. As far as an arrest and ultimate charge against the wife, the u. S. Attorney would not speculate. Im not going to speculate today as to any charges that may be brought or indeed about whether any charges will be brought in this case. It is premature to do so. It would interfere and hamper the investigation. Again, federal Law Enforcement sources have been telling fox news that the prosecutors are seeking a grand jury to get an indictment against the wife for numerous charges including accessory to 49 counts of murder. Another tragedy striking florida where a 2yearold boy was dragged off by an alligator while vacationing in disney world. The boit was ply was playing at of the lake the a the resort with his family nearby when he was snatched and attacked. Once on scene we determined that this 2yearold child was playing at the edge of the water, probably a foot or so into water, when this alligator came up and attacked the child. The father did his best. He tried to rescue the child. However, to no avail. Our own peter doocy now live in lake bueno vista. Reporter the latest is the sheriff tells me it took just seconds for the gator to grab the boy, wrestle him away from his dad who was trying to maintain his grip, and then swim away with the toddler. The sheriff also says that based on witness accounts of the 2yearold disappearing under the water, he has no doubt the boy is dead. Theyve operated here for 45 years, disney has, and theyve never had this type of thing happen before. Reporter this happened in an area without no swimming signs but no beware of alligator signs. They are searching the area around the manmade body of water but wildlife Officials Say there are mechanical systems in place that are complicating their efforts. They have no plans to call this search off. If they cannot find the boy today, they will come back tomorrow. So far five gators found here last night and today have been euthanized. Wildlife officials looked inside them though and found nothing. S. Complicates the whole matter. So tell us more about the new Homeland Security threat bulletin. I know it changed under president obama but has there been a change to actually that new program . Well, this bulletin was released just at the top of this last hour and it is from something called the ntas, which is the National Terrorism advisory system. This is the system that replaced the post9 11 color bars and it is meant to be more sort of news that you can use for the public in terms of what the threat picture looks like. And this was going to be released yesterday but it was moved up in light of what we saw in florida over the weekend. It reads, in part, in this environment, we are particularly concerned about homegrown violent extremists who could strike with little or no notice. The thing we need to be careful about here is the fine line between being gung ho about trying to find others to charge and not having them shut up for fear of being charged. We want to know what everybody knows. But if there is an overriding fear that if you know anything youre going to be charged, now it is going to have a chilling effect. Maybe thats why they said what they said. At the same time they were asking for video and other information from the public leading up to what happened that night and as it was ongoing. So they really seem like they want the publics help. How did you read that . But what shes saying, is if you have some information, you get a little bit nervous, am i going to be chargedfy come forward. But there is a way around that. The potential witness tells it to their lawyer and the lawyer does an attorneys proffer. As opposed to coming out of the witness mouth, it comes ow of the lawyers mouth. This is what my client knows. To this day it remains unclear if the hero acted on impulse or had some type of formal training. But we do know the shooter had a lot more ammunition and jon meis is widely credited with saving lives. In fact, police say when they interviewed the gunman in 2014 with being i admitted that he opened fire in what was meant to be a murder suicide and then told them, i had to give the security guy props. He was pretty brave. That man will go on trial september 1st for first degree murder. He is planning to use the insanity defense. Seattle Pacific University is a private Christian School ten miles from downtown seattle. So the judge in the stanford rape case has now been removed from presiding over a new Sexual Assault case. The santa clara District Attorney requested the removal of the judge saying he didnt have confidence in the judges judgment. The judge sentenced a former stanford swimmer to six months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. State guidelines suggested a minimum sentence of 2 to 14 years in jail. So the dogs are there to listen and to love on them and an important part of the healing process for everybody is to be able to talk about what you have come through.
