Rick, the latest Louisville Police tell us the middle east 46 arrests today and were probably witnessing a few more over here. This been about a dozen or two dozen people detained from a short while ago there were flareups on and off, protesters taunting police, yelling curse words at them and over and over again police are getting on the loudspeaker saying that this became an Unlawful Assembly and warning people to go home or they will be arrested and it looks like those people never went home and are probably going to be arrested in a short while. This area behind me has really been ground zero for protests and demonstrations for the past couple of weeks and months. Theres a memorial for Breonna Taylor right behind me here in the town square and then just a few hours ago there are hundreds of protesters, some turned rioters here, starting fires, throwing things at police and the officers came out in full force, they came out on a Tactical Gear and they really gained control of the situation but then of course there were people lingering in the area, officers warning them to go home. Those people did not and now they are being detained. Any more information on the circumstances of the shooting of those two officers . No. It happened at least a mile away from where i was, so i have no eyewitness information to give you. My understanding is both of those officers are stable, that they are alive, that it was not a fatal shooting, fortunately, rick. Excellent, matt finn, we will be checking back with you. As i mentioned, louisville just one of several American Cities witnessing a new round of street demonstrations, police confronting protesters in new york i filled althea, las vegas and washington, d. C. And for the most part those demonstrations have been peaceful. In chicago, several hundred people gathered in various neighborhoods around the city and at Police Headquarters chanting Breonna Taylors name and demanding justice. The officers statements about their announcement are corroborated by an independent witness who was near in a proximity to apartment 4. As the grand jury prepares decision, louisville girded for what they knew what was coming so that authorities declared a state of emergency, police blocked roads, businesses nailed plywood over the windows, even a local Childrens Hospital boarded up its entrance. The doctors and nurses inside knew they were not safe from the mob. Today the grand jury finally announced decisions. Here it is. One officer has been indicted, indicted on three counts of wanton endangerment. He was not charged with shooting and killing Breonna Taylor. Instead the grandhe jury found that by firing ten rounds, he may have acted recklessly. Keep in mind, he only fired his gun after one of his partners had been shot by kenneth walker, so should he have not returned fire . How many rounds is a cop allowed to discharge when someone starts shooting at him . No one answer those questions and in fact its hard to believe would be having conversations this absurd, much less discussing the officers indictment if biden voters werent in the streets making threats and demanding. O in other words, the mob is now in charge of our justice system. They are clearly having influence on it in louisville and in other cities. Weve given you examples before. I spent my entire professional life working on behalf of poor people of all races but particularly low income blacks and i can tell you that they are the ones who are suffering. It means that if police are downtown policing rights it means they are not in the neighborhoods protecting them. Some of these extremists demand that police be withdrawn and defunded, it means that its a death sentence for young people in these neighborhoods because theres a direct correlation between reduction and Police Presence and increase in violence and murder.
