Dubuque Police Arrested 62 year old Dolores Flynn this afternoon at dubuques mercy hospital. Last week, Dubuque Police found the body of Gary Breckenridge inside his home at 2944 jackson street. They found flynn, who lived with breckenridge, at a nearby laundromat. Determined breckenridge died from a severe blow to his head. And police say flynn told family members she hit breckenridge with a baseball bat that she then hid in a ditch. Police later found the bat, and they say Surveillance Video appears to show flynn walking to and from that location. Shes now in the Dubuque County jail with a bond of 500 thousand dollars. Firefighters say a pet dog saved a central city family when their home caught on fire. Fire chief james oleary said the dog woke up the family in called 911. Firefighters arrived at 1933 spent hours battling the flames then returned at seven am when the fire rekindled. They say the house is likely a total loss.
