Germany cancelled a soccer match today, only moments before kickoff. Police in hannover say they had concrete information about a bomb threat. But minutes ago we learned that so far no explosives have been found at the stadium german chancellor Angela Merkel and members of her cabinet were scheduled to be there to show solidarity with france. Days after the attacks in paris, the German Soccer Association decided to go on with the exhibition match as scheduled to show it will not bow down to terrorism. While that match was cancelled at the last minute today tonights soccer game between england and france at wembly stadium in london is still on with heightened security. Meanwhile, happening now, french warplanes are pounding Islamic State targets in syria overnight as authorities continue their campaign to defeat isis. Breaking into the newsroom tonight, a french Prosecutor Says theyre searching for a ninth suspect in the attacks. Right now, theyre not saying what lead them to another suspect. Officials are still searching for the mastermind of the attacks, suspect salah abdeslam. Today, seven people arrested in germany suspected of being connected to the attacks were released after Authorities Say they were not involved. France is the First European Union country to invoke the mutual defense clause. It says that when one of the 28members of the union is a victim of aggression on its territory, other Member States shall come to their aide. The defense minister of france is demanding European Union members join the fight against isis. Here at home the new speaker of the house is weighing in after more than half of all us governors called to block refugees from entering their states. Republican paul ryan is asking for a pause on refugees coming into the us and is getting together a task force to bring legislation to the floor. Governors across the country came together yesterday echoing that call. Advocates say because of the refugee act of 1980, governors cannot legally block refugees. That reaction from the governors is hitting the president ial campaign trail. Trail. Former Maryland Governor and president ial candidate Martin Omalley recalled a sign he had on his desk when he was in Office Reading help wanted no irish need apply. Says once the chaos started he couldnt reach his family here in cedar rapids for hours. Hours. Trevor says when the crowd heard the first explosions, everyone thought it was part of the game. When the second bomb went off thats when people knew something was wrong. He says people started getting alerts on their phones and evacuated the stadium. He says military lined the streets for hours and everyone scrambled for safety. So as were walking, its kind of like the scene of a movie, were like in a huge crowd of people, theyre singing the National Anthem of france, and everyone turns around and just starts sprinting. And with amber still on the hospital bed, the newborn was quickly whisked away.
