Pierre thomas has the details. Reporter the newly released review of the infamous fence jumper is damning. It lays out a comedy of errors, including performance, organizational and technical failures. Alarms didnt work, radios failed. Officers were out of position as the intruder jumped the fence and ran more than 70 yards before walking through an unlocked door right into the white house. An officer with an attack dog. He was on his personal cell phone in his van talking without his radio ear piece in his ear. He was also without a backup radio which he left in his locker. It all contributed to a slow response. In general, the report found that no officer was in a position to catch the fence jumper. Only minutes after the president had left the white house with his daughters.
