He invited the brothers to stay in his house after they ran into family issues. He brought them to his home where they stayed with him when they were going through hard times. Its alleged at that location, he committed various sex acts upon them. Hes accused of assaulting the men after they consumed drugs and were unconscious. He remains in jail on 750,000 bail. Another embarrassment for United Airlines this morning. Its apologizing to a passenger who was forced to give up the seat she bought for a 2yearold son. They were flying from houston to boston. She paid nearly 1,000 for the ticket, but another passenger came up and said he was assigned to her sons seat. She held her son on her lap for the entire flight because she said she didnt want to cause a scene. I had him in all these contorted sleeping positions. In the very end, sadly, he was standing up between my knees. She says not a Single Airline employee on the flight asked her why she had a child sitting on her lap. A statement from united says we inaccurately scanned the boarding pass of the son. As a result, her sons seat appeared to be not checked. We deeply apologize to her and her son for this experience. Called to San Franciscos nonemergency number to report illegal fireworks more than doubled from last year. The 311 line got more than 1100 calls between 7 00 p. M. And midnight. It got over 500 last year. A lot of people complained illegal fireworks seemed worse this year than in the past. The Highway Patrol says at least 47 people died in collisions in california through the independence holiday enforcement period. Many of the victims were not wearing seat belts. Officers made more than 1,200 dui arrests. 193 were in the golden gate division. A newark teen faces a long recovery from injuries he suffered in a fireworks explosion. Police say he and friends were setting off illegal fireworks tuesday night. Thats when one of the devices exploded. Video from a neighbor shows the teen suffered burns to his body in addition to the injury to his hand which police say was left badly disfigured.
