And three of our officers fired on the suspect. And the suspect went down. The suspect has been pronounced, the suspect is deceased. Most of the victims we are told were there for the birthday party. The gunman is believed to have reloaded his weapon at least once. A witness heard gunshots followed by yelling and screaming and other witnesses saw bloody victims trying to help each other. Police have not identified the shooter or offered a possible motive. Our helicopter saw that the suspect was still in the pool area and was armed and appeared to be reloading. The suspect pointed the gun at our officers and three of our officers fired on the suspect and the suspect went down and the suspect has been pronounced. The suspect is deceased. Police are still interviewing witnesses. They are also requesting anyone with Additional Information to come forward. And this is a very popular area in the san diego area. Now his foundation, his breaking ground on a new museum to honor his legacy. His family is opening up about how the baseball star was so much more than even his public persona represents. Reporter Jackie Robinson was much more than iconic. He was transcendent. In 1947 becoming the first africanamerican to play in the major leagues breaking baseballs color barrier. Now, 70 years later, the Jackie Robinson foundation is breaking ground on a museum to honor the hall of famer. My mother and father at the capital. Reporter sharon robinson, jackies daughter, is most excited the museum will show people the man her father was and not just the famous baseball player. The Jackie Robinson museum will absolutely cover the breadth of Jackie Robinsons life. He was a writer, columnist, great dad, wonderful husband. Dr. King when he came to our house. Reporter having the courage to break through baseballs color barrier was only part of his story. After his playing days he was a tireless advocate on the front lines of the civil rights movement. My dad would travel south to go on marches, to raise money for the civil rights movement, whatever was needed. Reporter sharon sees the museum as a way to educate young people on how no matter where they may start they can make a huge difference. There is so much about Jackie Robinson that could have been any black kid in this country. He got lucky when the opportunity came for him, he was ready to step into that position. Reporter Jackie Robinson passed away in 1972. But through his foundation and now the museum, which should open in 2019 the centennial of his birth. His legacy remains alive and well.
