It was great catching up, said bill to hillary. [ laughter ] the House Ethics Committee said yesterday, its continuing its investigation into florida congressman matt gaetz for alleged drug use because you dont buy this suit if youre not on something. [ laughter ] thats right, the House Ethics Committee confirmed that it is reviewing allegations that florida congressman matt gaetz may have engaged in sexual misconduct, used illicit drugs, accepted improper gifts, dispensed special favors to friends and attempted to obstruct government investigations into his conduct. Said trump, hes like the son ive never had. [ cheers and applause ] you know him from girls, andor, and his emmywinning roll as cousin richie on the bear, which returns next weekend. Ebon mossbachrach is here, for the first time. [ cheers and applause ] so excited to talk to him. Before we get to that, donald trump tried to claim credit for joe bidens cap on insulin prices after pressuring big oil ceos to give him 1 billion in exchange for tax cuts and floating what has been called one of the worst Economic Policy ideas in history. For more on this, its time for a closer look. [ cheers and applause ] seth for decades, the gop has been seen by many as the country club party, the party of bosses and rich people. Before trump, the most recent president s were oil tycoon, that oil tycoons son. And then in 2012, they nominated a private equity ceo who caught flak for his connection to a Dancing Horse named rafalca. Today was the first day of olympic competition for anne romneys horse. While you may not have seen it in action in the arena, you might soon be seeing a lot more of this horse on your television. The romneys involvement is putting a spotlight on dressage at this summers games. But horse ballet has been part of the olympics for 100 years. A great dressage horse easily costs six figures. So, the money, the obscure nature of the sport, and the attire have made mitt romneys connection to it a natural for comedy. This is what we know about todays round of competition. Anne romneys rafalca competed in this and wound up 13th. The brits took the top positions. Seth yes, the romneys had a Dancing Horse named rafalca and it lost in the olympics to the brits, because of course it did. Look at the official uniform of this sport. [ laughter ] no sport has ever been more british. When you win the gold medal, they tell you the true identity of lady whistledown. [ laughter ] you think youre going to beat the british in a horse ballet . Thats like trying to beat the italians in a handgesture competition. [ laughter ] which, by the way, should absolutely be an olympic sport. And now, team u. S. A. Will send uncle tony on to the mat. Tony is a pizzeria owner and parttime uber driver and he is, quite simply, built for this. He begins with his trademark chin flick, moving seamlessly into a double chefs kiss. And now, here it comes, the arm bend. Can he land the fist . Yes, hes done it [ cheers and applause ] hes told the judges up yours and they, in turn, have told him head to the podium, uncle tony. So, the romneys had a Dancing Horse named rafalca. Remember when we thought that was the most ridiculous thing in politics . If you heard the name rafalca in the news now, you would immediately assume it was trumps new lawyer. [ laughter ] and then, it would turn out it was the same rafalca. [ laughter ] id be insulted but hes a hell of a litigator. [ laughter ] also, where do i get those teeth . [ laughter ] so, thats the image the gop had for a long time. Then donald trump, another rich guy who inherited a fortune and a famous name, came along and they tried to rebrand. They started claiming that actually republicans were the party of the working class. The forgotten men and women of our country, will be forgotten no longer. We are a proamerica, populist party, rooted in conservative principle with donald trump as our leader. Were in favor of an americafirst Economic Policy. And americafirst foreign policy. That means doing whats good for the american worker. The Republican Party is the party of steel workers, and construction workers, and pipeline workers, and taxicab drivers, and cops, and firefighters, and waiters and waitress, and the men and women with callouses on their hands who are working for this country. Seth when he screams, he sounds like a vuvuzela in a blender. [ laughter ] whenever ted cruz raises his voice, it changes the migration patterns of geese. [ laughter ] you guys hear that honking . One of us is in trouble. [ laughter ] aw, [ bleep ]. Its cruz, my bad. My bad. [ laughter ] thats how bad they are at rebranding. The only blue collar jobs they can think of are the ones that come in the lego sets. The Republican Party is the party of construction workers, taxi drivers, firefighters, police officers, jedi, ninjas and harry potters. [ laughter ] obviously, it was all b. S. [ cheers and applause ] it was all b. S. Trump shoveled. Trump shoveled 2 trillion into the pockets of the richest americans through his signature tax cut. In 2020, the last year of his presidency, nearly 8 Million People fell into poverty while billionaires increased their wealth by more than a quarter. If youre a trump fan whos tempted to say, well, that was during the pandemic. Well, yeah, thats the point of electing a president , to deal with a crisis. He doesnt get a mulligan for that. If your plane hits some turbulence, you dont want the pilot to get up and say, hey, i didnt put the clouds there. [ laughter ] the cloud arent on me. Of course, inequality is systemic and predates trump. And some socalled moderates have helped make it worse, like joe manchin, who recently left the democratic party. Manchin fought the renewal of the expanded Child Tax Credit that lifted millions out of poverty. In 2021, he reportedly said that he thought parents would waste monthly Child Tax Credit on payments on drugs, which is a gross and insulting thing to say. Who do you think is most likely to be on drugs . Parents who support their kids or the guy that looks like he raided a pharmacy and took one of everything . [ laughter ] you know, the guy whose white house doctor was handing out pills like he was working the coat check at studio 54. [ laughter ] hey, go ask for dr. Roni. Hell give you hell give what you what they gave to rafalca to make him dance. [ laughter ] i cant believe i have to tell you this. But giving Parents Money to feed children is both good and politically popular. Same as expanded unemployment or universal healthcare, or cracking down on big pharma for pricegouging. In fact, that one is so popular that when Bernie Sanders recently announced the hearing to investigate the price of diabetes drugs, even fox business fox business said they agreed. Sanders says that novo dordisk charges americans 969 a month, thats dollars, for ozempic, compared to 155 in canada. 59 in germany. They also charge americans over 1,300 a month for wegovy, while the same exact drug can be purchased for 140 in germany, 92 in the u. K. All the innovation comes from the united states. And a lot of the cost disparities are here. 85 of americans pay for insurance are third party. Some of these other countries, its not insignificant, kate. I think its around 60 . So, there are issues around that. But you cant defend that disparity. Bernie sanders i never this is im going to say this this would maybe be the first time. Bernie sanders may be right. If people could buy their drugs in canada those people have you see that price disparity . Perhaps it will level the playing field, right . On this one, im saying go, bernie. Im feeling the bern on this one okay, youre feeling the bern. Oh, boy. Seth somewhere in australia, Rupert Murdoch is angrily snapping a didgeridoo in half. [ laughter ] if you think youre feeling the bern now, wait til i throw you on the barby [ laugher ] its getting so good. [ laughter ] my Rupert Murdoch is getting so, so good. [ laughter ] thats fox business rooting for Bernie Sanders. It would be super funny if this encouraged bernie to Start Talking about petty rich people concerns just to get more positive coverage from fox business. He should do it just to troll them. The top 1 of hamptons patios are getting 99 of the italian marble. We need to redistribute the marble equally. [ laughter ] to all the pool decks on the south shore. [ laughter ] now, trump knows capping drug prices is wildly popular, which is why he is trying to claim credit for it. In a recent post on truth social, he said, low insulin pricing was gotten for millions of americans by me and the trump administration, not by crooked joe biden. He had nothing to do with it. Well, thank you for gotten that for us. [ laughter ] first of all, thats obviously not true. Biden capped prices for all Insulin Products for all seniors with diabetes at 35. Hes also called on congress to expand the cap to everyone, which trump has not done. Second, im almost certain that if you ask him to explain it, trump would have no idea what insulin is or what it does. Insulin, we all we all know wonderful insulin. [ laughter ] the beautiful insulin. Its the stuff that turned wade wilson into deadpool and [ laughter ] they pumped him full of the insulin and he got all of those superhuman powers and the funny catchphrases they gave him. [ laughter ] so, the gop rebrand is an act. If you strip away trumps bluster and cosplay, he is, at the end of the day, a country club billionaire like all the others. And thats who hes catering to with his latest and perhaps most insane economic proposal. Former President Donald Trump making headlines today after meeting with u. S. Business leaders and republican lawmakers. He told republican lawmakers behind closed doors, he wants to eliminate the income tax and replace entirely with tariffs. Effectively taking us back to the 19th century. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor greene of georgia actually told me that trump suggested perhaps no income tax. Replacing the income tax with revenue, with tariff, would be the worst macroEconomic Policy proposal in u. S. History. This idea makes as much sense as ripping up the entire interstate highway system and replacing it with canals. Seth dont give him ideas. [ laughter ] were looking very strongly at ripping up the new jersey turnpike and replacing it with a log flume. [ laughter ] which, yes, yes, sounds fun. Until you realize that even a log flume in new jersey would be bumpertobumper. [ laughter ] hey, get out of the way. Gold medalist coming through. Yeah, all right. Ill do it. Ill do it. All right, all right [ laughter ] [ applause ] thats right. Donald trump floated the idea of replacing all federal income taxes, which are paid mostly by wealthier americans with tariffs on goods coming into the country, which would cause massive price hikes for regular consumers. By one estimate, an average tariff rate of nearly 85 on all imports would be required to replace income tax revenue with tariffs. So, the stuff you buy at a Grocery Store would have to go up in price by at least 85 , so that the richest americans can get another tax cut. Now, im not naive. I know the same fox news anchors who railed against inflation under biden will quickly pivot to say yogurt tastes better when its 21. But 85 more is worse. And i got to be honest, not only am i starting to think donald trump is not a populist, im starting to think he may not understand business. I mean, he knocked it out of the park with trump steaks, trump vodka, trump water, and Trump Airlines and trump cologne. But at some point, the winning streaks got to end. [ laughter ] side not, how bad do you think Trump Airlines im guessing when those doors blew off the planes, they just left them off. [ laughter ] they probably started to let people off midflight like city bus. [ laughter ] okay, were over 59th and lexington. If this is your stop, grab a chute. You can transfer here for the crosstown flume. [ laughter ] but of course, trump is not actually thinking through the consequences his insane ideas will have an ordinary americans. Hes just trying to please the corporate bosses he cares about most. For example, in april, he proposed a secret backroom deal with Oil Executives that would involve them giving him 1 billion. A stunning new report by the Washington Post details a meeting at maralago last month, between donald trump and about two dozen top Oil Executives. Donald trump reportedly shocked some people in the room saying, you all are wealthy enough that you should raise 1 billion to return me to the white house. Trump reportedly claimed 1 billion would be a deal because of how much hed limit taxes and regulation. The former president had a pitch for them if they raise 1 billion for his campaign to return to the white house, he would enact policies that would benefit their industry. Seth you know who has to be so pissed about this . Mitt romney. Dudes got to be like, he promised a backroom billion dollar quid pro quo and you people dont care . Meanwhile, i had to eat [ bleep ] for months cause i have a horse that can twerk . [ laughter ] trumps populism is an act. His first term proved that. And now, hes promising a second term agenda thats somehow even more skewed to the richest americans. In order to claim this guy is a proworker populist, republicans would have to dance like theyre doing horse ballet. [ laughter ] seth this has been a closer look. [ cheers and applause ] seth well be right back with Lupita Nyongo, everybody. [ cheers and applause ] announcer for more of seths closer looks, be sure to subscribe to late night on youtube. Its been so long. I know. Its so good to be back. Thank you for having me. Seth youre not just back on the show, youre back in the city after 12 years of being a new yorker. You made the move. I finally made the move last year to l. A. Seth and . I like it. Seth okay. [ laughter ] oh, you know, i do. I really love having green space. I dont miss the city. Seth okay. [ laughter ] i feel like i saw Something Green today on my walk in. [ laughter ] and therein lies the problem. Seth there you go. This takes place in this is a prequel to the quiet place films. Correct. Seth this is when the aliens arrive and at least that feels like worse than what new york is on a daytoday. For sure. [ laughter ] this film will remind new yorkers about all the things that they complain about and they will no longer complain about them. Seth yes. [ light laughter ] it can get a lot worse. It can get way worse. Seth this is the third a quiet place film. Did you see the first two in the theater . No. Seth yeah. I didnt. [ light laughter ] seth thats okay. I didnt either. I didnt mean to, like, jump, but it is like so fun. It is. I was too scared to see it in the cinemas. Seth do you get scared . I do. I much prefer to do the scaring, than being scared. To be honest, to be honest. Seth cause you can be very youre good at being scary. Yeah, thank you. Im very proud of that. [ laughter ] seth i mean, cause, i saw us in the theaters. And i was i was very scared. [ laughter ] i did not care. And im glad i have a chance to say this facetoface. I did not care for how you scared me. [ laughter ] well, im going to do it again. Seth okay, good. I look forward to it. Yeah, so, with this, i mean, the first ones, i watched at home in the daylight. [ light laughter ] where i could pause when i got too scared. But what i loved about them when i watched them, i really did regret not watching them in the cinema. Because they do lend themselves to the cinematic experience. You know, that sound emersion. And i could imagine what it would be like to watch it with a bunch of people and go through that cathartic experience together. So, i encourage you all to see it in theaters. Seth no, please. We have to. [ cheers and applause ] we, obviously, were so appreciative of people who do a big press tour for a movie like this. And you have made so many stops for a film like this. You came up with a novel way to address the fact that your feet probably start hurting over the course of one of the press tours. And whose idea was it to that was my hair stylist vernon francoiss idea. Seth okay. I was wobbling backstage and he was like, look, theres a cart here. Just get on this and ill push you through. And i was like, oh my gosh. Im going to look like such a diva. And he was like, yeah, well record it and let the world know. So [ laughter ] seth and lets let the world know. Lets take a look. All the pretty girls walk like this this this [ cheers and applause ] seth you look like its like if its like if macys had a lupita, like, float. [ laughter ] thats what it would look like. I love that. Seth so you have a movie coming up, wild robot. And you injured your vocal chords. I did. Seth so what sort of is it based on the difficulty of the voice or just too much of a voice . Well, okay, so, shes a robot. And she goes through this journey to finding, i guess, what we would call humanity, like empathy. And so, at the start of the movie, i chose to do this very kind of like superpositive voice. And it was just not in my local register, which is a lot lower. And so, i did it for way too long over a number of days, and i got a vocal polyp. And so, i lost my ability to speak. And my doctor put me on vocal rest. I was on vocal rest for three months. Seth three months . [ audience oohs ] yeah. cause i really didnt want surgery. I was scheduled to have a surgery. And he said that 35 of people recover naturally. And i was so determined to be part of that 35 . Seth yes. And i did. I cured myself. Seth congratulations. [ cheers and applause ] you did you obviously, one of the problems is, you are out in public every now and then. You went to a couple of concerts that had a great many people at them. Yeah. Seth you went to see beyonce, you went to see taylor swift. I did. Seth you had to wear a note that said, im on vocal rest. Yeah, i made that at home. Seth yeah. And then theres a button here for the beyonce outfit. I upgraded after a few months. I was like, i can make i can get someone else to make me a button. Seth and so that is so people come over and if theyd ask you a question, you would just sort of gesture . Yeah, exactly. cause sometimes people fans thought i was being rude because i wouldnt seth sure. Say anything. Id just be like [ light laughter ] so, then, i just thought, okay, let me let people know whats going on and that way theyll have sympathy for me instead of hatred. [ light laughter ] seth dont you feel like you should sell those, to give to girls before they go into a bar . [ laughter ] [ cheers and applause ] right . And they can just like slowly take it out. Yeah. Thats good. [ light laughter ] thats really good. Seth i have a lot more to ask you. Well be right back with lupita after this. Is it true your first job on a film set, excuse me, was a p. A. On the constant garden . That is 100 true. Seth and it was in kenya. It was in kenya. I had gone home for the summer holidays. I was an undergrad at hampshireat at the time. And i happened to have dinner with a friend of mine. I saw a film crew in my neighborhood. And i had dinner that night with a friend, who had a small part in the movie. And i was like, oh, man, you got to introduce me to someone. I really want to work on that film. I want to do anything. So he was dropping me home. We drove to the set. I introduced myself to the second a. D. And i said, can you please hire me to do anything . He was like, do you have any experience . And i was like, no. And he was like, well, okay, im going to put you on probation. Well give you a twoweek trial and see how you do. And so i was doing all sorts of managing extras and all this. And in two weeks, i was promoted to first Team Production assistant. [ cheers and applause ] seth tell us a little bit what is a first Team Production assistant do . A first Team Production assistant takes cares of the main cast. So it was ralph fiennes, it was rachel weisz. Donald sumpter and stuff like that. And so i would get them tea and coffee, and escort them to set when they needed to go there. And escort them back. Seth were you good at getting people to and from set . Did you lose anybody . [ light laughter ] actually, one time, rachel weisz went to the toilet and she didnt tell me and i got in a lot of trouble. [ light laughter ] you have to follow them without them knowing that youre following them. Seth right, oh interesting. Thats hard. I was friendly. They were very friendly. But i made a mistake of like sometimes chatting out of turn. So i would pick them up at their tents. We didnt have trailers. We had tents. And one time, i was taking ralph to set and i was like so what is your Favorite Movie to work on . And now, being in a position similar to him, i know that he gets asked that all the time. And its the wrong time to make small talk when he is trying to get in the zone. And he was very diplomatic. He gave me a curt answer. But and then i could tell, the conversation needed to end. Seth he was probably like, where is my vocal rest button . [ laughter ] yeah. He probably was. Seth it must have been i would imagine, not that you would have treated a Production Assistant any differently. But it must have been helpful to know what the other side of the film set is, when you then become one of the main actors. I would imagine thats a helpful thing to have experienced. Yeah, absolutely. When youre working on a film set, theres so many pieces that have to be in place before the actor gets there. And so, now, when im on the other side, i have a lot of empathy for all those pieces. But the one thing i definitely do, is tell the p. A. s, as soon as i get there, when i step out of this trailer, im at work. So, leave me alone. [ light laughter ] so they dont take it the wrong way, when im being weird. Seth also, youre like, i will tell you when im going to the bathroom. [ light laughter ] yes. Actually, i do. I definitely give people a headsup. But theres days when i really to try to escape them. You just want to its weird when theres people reporting that youre going to the toilet, into a walkietalkie, you know. Its still embarrassing, even if i know that they have to do it. Seth yeah. It is true. You know, obviously, all of us do it. But you dont want to have somebody on the radio being like, shes going right now. Yes. [ laughter ] right. Right. And then, like, sometimes i overhear them, when im in the toilet, asking for me. Shes in the toilet. Nobody needs that. Seth i want to get my own radio so im like, i cant go when youre talking about it. [ laughter ] i can hear i cant go. Please stop talking about it. [ applause ] congratulations on the film. Thank you for being here. Its so, so lovely to see you. Its so good too see you. [ cheers and applause ] Lupita Nyongo a quiet place day one is in theaters june 27th. So it must have been cool, like one after another. Yeah, that was the nice thing about that night is that it did feel like a big team kind of win. And i think jeremy won. And then maybe about 15 minutes later, me and then i also theres so many things to do backstage there, so we kind of get backed up. And, you know i ran back, give her a hug. You know, it was nice, it was a special night, it was nice. Seth this is a show where i feel like people think they know the characters very well. You are Walking Around brooklyn, are people yelling out your name, now . Yeah. You know, ive become like, you know brooklyns cousin, i feel like, in a way, you know, i can say. Theres a lot of that, thats a lot of that. Its nice, sometimes. Seth you, this is a chicago show. You look different, seeing you here in new york, than you look on the show in chicago. And its not just makeup. Youre living a different life. I think im on a dietary like my bloods changed. Seth yeah. You lived in chicago right. Seth ive lived in chicago. I went to chicago for two days this weekend and i feel like my blood changed. [ laughter ] yeah, its a lot. My sodium levels go through the roof. I kind of like it for richie, to have a kind of sort of, ruddy, puffy, kind of swollen, sort of id be like hes sort of like halfman, halfhot dog. [ laughter ] im realizing now. Yeah. Its also like a pleasure to do that in chicago. Seth it really is. The way you can eat bad in chicago is one of the best things in the world. Yeah. Seth i like that you basically made a choice, you can either sit in makeup for three hours a day or just have a regular chicago lunch. Yeah, exactly. [ laughter ] seth the show has a unique chaos to it. And i think its the chaos of the kitchen. But then there was a very special episode this past season. Forks, which was this very quiet episode. Yeah. [ cheers and applause ] seth and was it i mean, it must have felt so different to film. Yeah. It was like being on a different show. I felt lonely kind of. We were in this really, like, almost like a science lab, that restaurant. I dont go to many michelin im not like a big fine dining person. So this kind of austere, intense kind of aggressive lighting was sort of new. I mean, i was working with great actors. But a lot of that was, excuse me, just me by myself, kind of missing my homies. Seth yeah, i guess that is a nice parallel to what cousin richie was going through, as well. Yeah, for sure. Seth you know, doing new things. Yeah, just like what is this where am i . And also, like the way they have the Camera Department and the directors, you know, they pull different visual references for every episode and for the whole season. And there was a lot of there was pictures of 2001, and other scifi movies on the mood board for that episode. Seth when you said 2001, i was wondering, im like, is that a fancy restaurant im supposed to know about . [ laughter ] im like, oh, no. The one i knew. The one i knew. 2001 madison park. [ laughter ] seth it does sound like a place you would go. You cant get in there. You cant get into 2001. They have 11 michelin stars or something. [ laughter ] seth they have all the stars. They stole stars from other restaurants. Yeah, exactly. Seth have you done i know some of the cast have talked about like talking to other people who work in kitchens, try to go in kitchens as research. Did you do any of that in the prep for this . Like i went to le bernardin a couple times and sort of wrote it off, you know, but i feel like i was just kind of like, you know, i just love that restaurant. No, i dont really have to, like [ laughter ] seth you know, im really hoping the irs isnt watching right now. [ laughter ] thats a crime. Im not going to abet this crime. They got bigger fish to fry. Seth they do have bigger fish to fry. Theyve got nothing on me. [ light laughter ] no, you know my guy, especially like in the first season, was just disruptive. You know, i dont know. Like i dont know what i would have done. Follow people around, like, learn how to smoke cigarettes. You know . [ laughter ] seth yeah, thats a good point. Yeah, youre like, i think i could do cousin richie like straight off the bat. But those guys trained a lot. I trained a lot, lionel, jeremy, liza. Those guys put in a lot of work. I did not. [ laughter ] seth you had worked in chicago, i guess almost 20 years ago. Yeah. Seth and then, you came back, and there was a teamster that you knew from the previous work. Yeah. Seth and got to hang out with him again. Yes, so my buddy rob, who we became really close when i was making this movie there a very long time ago. And we sort of stayed in touch over the years. And then when i landed in chicago to make the pilot of the bear in july, like from the car, driving to my hotel, i called him up. And hes like, okay. Youre not going to your hotel. Come meet me at this restaurant right away. This was 4 00 p. M. The restaurant opened at 5 00. I had my bags. I kind of knocked. They lifted up the gate. They let me in. It was a full party in progress. Which i dont understand how that, like, what the end game is. Like if its a family Italian Restaurant and people are coming in with their kids at 5 00 p. M. , how you go from like bottles of booze on the bar and everything and just madness and shots. I took two steps in and i got hit in the head with like a fairly large dildo. Seth uhhuh. [ laughter ] and it like hit me in the head. Like dropped on the ground. I kind put my bags down. And i was just like, oh, this is my chicago baptism. Has that happened to you . Seth well i think almost everybody in chicago has been hit with a daytime dildo. [ laughter ] yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth a lot of other cities you need for like before the dildos come out in chicago. No, no, in chicago, i think it was probably an alderman that threw it out there. Seth yeah, yeah, exactly, and theres plenty of altermens who they bring duffel bags full of dildos and just throw it at their constituents all day long. You are a swimmer. A troubled city. Seth you are a swimmer . Yeah. Seth did you swim competitively in high school . No, no, no, no. I was never a good swimmer. I just love to swim. I love being especially in the ocean. Seth and you have a specific kind of swimsuit that you feel like fits your style the best. Well, i mean especially like in this country, i feel like mens shorts and mens swimsuits have a lot of fabric in them. Seth i agree with that. And i see the standard mens bathing suit, im like thats easily like nine bathing suits. Seth yeah, oh, so you want a ninth of a norm . Yeah. I want like a ninth, yeah, a ninth. And so, yeah, i scoured the world on my travels and my family, like different flea markets and bazaars and in ukraine and germany, greece, romania, bulgaria. Especially like Eastern Europe is a good place to find a nice, square cut, tight seth so you dont want a speedo. You want like sort of a very tight square cut. I dont want like what you think about as the classics like the triangle. I prefer like a short square cut. Seth okay, got you. [ laughter ] which can be kind of elusive. Germany is seth thats the place . Thats good, yeah. [ laughter ] seth now im a little worried germany is not the place but you dont want to give away your secrets. So youre trying to send us all to germany. Its a big country. Seth yeah. Im going to leave it. Dont go to hamburg. [ laughter ] theres nothing there. Seth so we have a photo of you. And this gives us a good sense of what youre looking for. That, i mean, like, i like that. [ laughter ] i dont like this at all. [ laughter ] see, thats what in saying, thats the distinction. Yeah, this is in croatia. I was about to swim a like a big, sort of, non competitive, but like a race in some way, they called it the marathon, so i think it was 2 1 2 miles. And yeah. Seth when you walk into a flea market with this look up here, i feel like they know exactly what youre looking for down there. [ laughter ] yeah, exactly. Seth theyre like, wait. Come with us. Come in the back. They say, sir, ignore all this. This is for the idiots. Seth you, you have a refined look. Yeah. Seth what was the length of the croatian swim race . I think it was about 2 1 2 miles. Seth okay. Yeah, it was like this Little Island called vis that we spent a lot of time. Seth yeah, its beautiful. Far out in the adriatic. And do this swim, once a summer, where they take a bunch of people and i was like swimming, theres professionals and then theres amateurs. So they drop us all off at this Little Island, thats theres a lighthouse and then you swim back into the harbor. And they control all the traffic, theres no boats coming in. And yeah. Seth how long does it take for you that took, i dont know, maybe an hour and 15 minutes. Something like that. Seth i will say, like, it strikes me as a claustrophobic nightmare to be swimming with other people. But do you like the vibe . Like, this is good . No, thats horrible. The orgyastic beginning and stuff. And its primarily croatians. I dont speak croatian. I mean, i think the average height of croatian is like fairly tall. Theyre like big folks. And like, big hands, big feet. You just i kind of let them go. [ laughter ] because its very confusing. I dont know. Youre a runner. Seth yeah. Do you run in races or anything . Seth i have. But ideally, what i like to run where no one is. Yeah. Yeah. For me, its the same. I like that thought of being in that crowd and everyone then, it does something weird, too. Swimming for me is a way to chill out and kind of forget about things and sort of zone out and let my mind wander. But then, that competition, it just draws you in. Everyone is like hustling and you find yourself, doing something, i promised myself i was just going to take it easy. But then, you find, its like seth well i always, when i do race, my finish is so badly, when they go what happened, im like, i just let everybody go first. [ light laughter ] its not about that. Seth its not about that. I was like, you guys are all like you guys want a different thing out of this, so you go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth ill just see you at the end. Im like just a different vibe. Im just happy. Im like more involved. Im in a different reincarnation cycle than you guys. Youll get there. Youll get there. Youll get there. Seth but you wont get there today with how fast youre running. What a delight to have you here ebon. I mean, your work is so great, not just in the bear but in everything. Thanks so much for being here, my friend. [ a
