Receiving another 700 doses, but there is no arrival date yet. Im stephanie magallon, nbc bay area news. Thanks, stephanie. As for doses around the country, more Monkeypox Vaccines are on the way. Nearly 800,000 doses will be available across the u. S. It comes as the fda gave the go ahead for a lab in denmark to help boost the vaccine supply. It will be welcome news for clinics in the bay area, especially in San Francisco, a hot spot in the country. The clinic there closed actually this week after supply ran out. The National Health and Human Services agency predicts it will have 1. 9 million Vaccine Doses Available some time this year. The cdc estimates 15 million gay or bisexual men are eligible for the vaccine, but so far only 310,000 doses have been given out. The World Health Organization is issuing a recommendation tonight to reduce the spread of monkeypox. The agency suggests gay and bisexual men limit their sexual partners. Thats because men who have sex with other men have the highest risk of infection. The group accounts for 95 of all monkeypox cases. More than 18,000 monkeypox cases have been reported among 78 countries. Now, coming up at 6 00, with doses of the Monkeypox Vaccine in short supply, some are asking why it takes so long for the California Department of Public Health to pass along doses they do get. Rains claims the rank and file have now lost all faith in the chief, noting a unanimous no confidence vote by Union Members this past december. Rains also accuses the chief of playing favorites when it comes to hiring and creating the situation that led to the departments massive staffing issues. Ethical violations that include hiring friends, hiring his friends from San Jose Police department. To recruiters to recruit people to this department who, like the chief himself, know nothing about the needs of this department. Reporter while the Vallejo PoliceOfficers Association clearly isnt satisfied with the performance of the Current Police chief, the city is taking a much different stance.
