Moments ago this photo was released of the man that ambushed two Police Officers and killed them overnight. The shooter is identified at 46yearold Scott Michael green. The Des Moines Police department say these shootings happened about midnight central time when Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired. They found an urban dale Police Department officer who was shot while sitting in his patrol car. 20 minutes after that, an officer from a Different Department. This one from des moines was also found inside of his patrol car just blocks away. Both of those Police Officers are dead. At a News Conference the Police Spokesperson says there is, quote, clearly danger right now. Were just a few hours into this. It doesnt appear there are any interaction between the two officers and the coward who shot them while they sat in their car. Thats the best weve got. Just another tragic development for the Law Enforcement community and for their families. So far no arrests have been made. When the new chief is selected, he or she will have a number of big ticket items including implementing the use of force reforms, trying to satisfy both the needs of the city as well as the police union. Two men accused of beating a disabled homeless man to death will be arraigned today. A warning that some of the video were about to show you is graphic. 67yearold tai lam was kicked to death almost two years ago as he was sleeping in San Franciscos financial district. This is a Surveillance Video of that attack. Officers called it one of the most brutal killings that they have ever seen. Earlier this week sfpd arrested joseph stull from hide hoe and david peters from stockton after matching their dna to the crime scene. 6 07. Authorities are upping the reward to track down a man accused of shooting and nearly killing his pregnant exgirlfriend. It happened in april in pacifica. Authorities say the 46yearold tried to abduct his exgirlfriend from her job at a Senior Housing complex. Instead he ended up shooting her in the head. She and her unborn baby, however, both survived. U. S. Marshals are offering a 10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Hes 55, 125 pounds, he is considered armed and dangerous. Pacific can police have made an arrest in an attempted kidnapping on the peninsula. Investigators say this man, 41yearold mark solomon drove up alongside a young girl and tried to force her into his car. It happened on monday afternoon near sequoia high school. He said he used it a handful of times before getting an error message. They told him he couldnt return it because he had just missed the 15day return period. Albert says best buy then told him to take the camera to a sony authorized repair center. He did that. But albert says the repair center wouldnt fix it, citing previous damage to the camera. Albert said he had no idea what the damage could be, so he decided to reach out to us. Hes caught in the middle. After we talked to best buy, best buy gave him 270 in store credit to replace that camera. Today in the bays kris sanchez is live in the busy downtown area. Police say theyre getting descriptions of the suspect, but it could be very difficult. Reporter it could be difficult, laura. I want to show you where it happened. Were on university avenue. The apple store is right across the street. It was right behind this block of businesses here that there is an alleyway, a lane they call it, where that woman was approached by two young men wearing hoods. She was then peper sprayed there. Its also welllit there and not too far from the parking lot. To boo, it was only 7 00 in the evening on halloween night. One of the men sprayed her in the face with that pepper spray and as she was temporarily blinded another ripped her neck las from her neck and ripped her hoop earrings from her ears. The way this happened has other women feeling very unnerved and unsafe. Police say they may not know who the suspects are unless somebody else comes forward. I always park down random streets, right . Its a little frightening. Because of the pepper spray that was in her eyes, she was unable to give us a better description. Reporter now, slr surveillance cameras at the businesses here on university avenue, but because it is a less traveled area behind the buildings, the police say they dont have any Surveillance Video to work with just yet, but they say a reminder, always try to stay in welllit, well trafficked areas. In sunnyvale right now, police are searching for two suspects who used a stun gun to rob a liquor store. It happened just before 8 30 on halloween at a liquor store on the corner of south wolf road and old San Francisco road. The suspect entered the store, demanded money and used the stun gun to attack the store clerk. The men grabbed the money in the register and took off. Thankfully the clerk was not seriously hurt. Hillsborough police are investigating two home burglary attempts just about a mile apart. One on woodridge road, the other on lakeview drive. In both cases someone forced open the front doors of the home but got scared off by alarms. A man accused of killing a warehouse worker in the east bay is set to enter a plea. 27yearold Kadeem Edwards is being charged with murder. Police say he struck and killed a coworker last month as he tried to stop edwards from stealing wooden pallets. Officers found the suspect five hours after a crash in oakland. Also in court today, former San Francisco 49er bruce miller. Hes facing several felony charges after that bizarre attack at a San Francisco hotel. He was arrested in september after he allegedly attacked a 70yearold man and his 29yearold son at a hotel on fishermans wharf. Police say miller was very drunk at the time and confused the victims room with his own room. The elderly man suffered a black eye and possible facial bone structures t. 49ers released him shortly after he posted bail. Vta this morning will break ground on a new tunnel designed to improve access to a busy caltrans station. Crews will build a bike and pedestrian underpass connecting brokaw rode with the station. An 80foot tunnel will provide safe passage under three railroad tracks. A new lypath will link brokaw t that path. Its expected to be finished by next summer. The project to dismaptal the eastern span of the bay bridge enters its second phase today. Crews will be removing the smaller trusses, using a high controlic pushup jacking system. Police are calling it a hate crime. Here is what happened. According to the east bay times, the rainbow Community Center on willow pass road has been burglarized four times in the last two weeks. Burglars stole credit cards and charged up to 10,000 on each of them. Police say during the recent incident burglars painted homophobic graffiti all over the building. Investigators are looking closely at the roadway when 13 people were killed when a tour bus slammed into a truck in palm sprin springs. The stresh of the road was under construction but no the area was not marked. D Insurer Anthem blue cross right now is accused of misleading its customers, switching them to cheaper plans and then charging them more money. Consumer watch dog has filed a lawsuit against anthem. That suit claims anthem is switching several hundred thousand customers to strippeddown versions of their plans next year and some people are paying a lot more money. Anthem says state regulators approved those changes. The city of San Francisco is join a call, City Attorney tennis herrera announced the city is dropping opposition to a federal lawsuit charging the states bail system.
