tenant upstairs had had her car broken into at least 5 times if not more and then we have our own security camera we caught at least one robbery on. >>reporter: oakland police6 3 told us they are investigating the incident but so far have made no arrest n.oakland, laura anthony abc 7 news. police in concord shot and killed a man they say stabbed a police dog this afternoon. shooting happened on san jose avenue at prospect street at 2:30. officers were in the neighborhood looking for the suspect who stabbed a man inside a home on crawford street. police dog named jelly found the man three blocks away. during the confrontation he was stabbed in the face when two officers shot the suspect. killing him. the police dog will recover from his injuries. >> alameda county jail inmate faces accuses tonight strangling or beating his cell mate to death during a fight. happened before 9 this morning inside a locked cell in dublin santa rita jail. sheriff's deputy tell us the men were being held in a maximum security area which houses inmates with behavioral and mental health problems. >> no indications that either one of these gentlemen couldn't be housed together. if there was concerns then we would have put them the until a segregated cell where they would be by themselves. >> sheriff locked down that part of santa rita jail while investigators question other inmates trying to figure out exactly what happened this morning. police in 3 different city learn more about the death of 2-year-old boy. family brought him to medical facility in pleasanton where he died friday. pleasanton police say the boy has ties to oakland but stockton police are focusing on a home in that central valley town. they are waiting on autopsy results to tell them how the boy died. today salvage team began preparation to remove a private cabin cruiser that capsize saturday afternoon off fisherman wharf. vic has the latest dochl. >> coast guard out in water near pier 45 this morning. making sure the capsize boat had been properly marked by the salvage company. 7 news contacted one of the three owners of the boat. >> does he work here. >> no. >> the co-owner said later by phone neither he or the others wanted to talk at this time. but the coast guard says they have been cooperating ncaa and paying for salvage operations. it sank saturday afternoon throwing some 30 people into the waters. all were rescued. 8 people including three children are hospitalized all have since been released. divers inspected the 34 foot boat after the sf pd paren unit located it yesterday using sonar. the salvage team installed another buoy today and checked the vessel tag containing an estimated 75 gallon of gasoline. the chief is with the coast guard incident management division. >> went down and plugged the fuel fence on the vessel so he shouldn't have any leaking. >>reporter: chief says the salvage company hopes to lift the boat friday. first they have to figure out exactly how to do it. >> you need to do an investigation. see exactly how it's sitting on the bottom before you can make a plan to salvage the vessel. >> the marine unit working with the coast guard is a lead agency investigating any possible criminal violations. >> what was the weight rating of the boat. how many people should have been on the boat. any life jackets still on the boat and others sort of
