Because because of that 2400 customers without electricity. And on Market Street in San Francisco, wind gusts blew chunks of styrofoam off of a hotel building. They were heavy. 60pounds. This series of storms is from the pacific, bands of heavy rain that forecasters are calling an atmospheric river. Researchers are getting about up close look at the storm. Using a plane to fly through them. Asan Francisco State meteorologist is saying this could be a gamechanger. The more that we know about the structures of the river we can made accurate forecast. We will see river events with droughts. Donna believes that drought left the trees in the area weakened and vulnerable the wind and rain. And a juvenile male forced her into her car and robbed and sexually assaulted her. And she called police. And they arrested the man at the same home. Tonight a Police Sergeant in kensington has been suspended from duty. Now, what happened in reno. Reporter it has been almost nine months since the day Police Sergeant keith barrow got in a world of trouble. He was in reno in may offduty and paid 70 to have sex with a prostitute in a hotel room, fell asleep, when he woke up his department issued badge, handcuffs, 40 caliber pistol and two clips of ammo were gone. And so was the prostitute. Police opened an investigation, but barrows remained on duty until friday. He was suspended after the oakland tribune started asking questions about the case. One resident is saying the town should have known about this much sooner. It is a careerbreaker. A negative blotten somebodys record. No doubt. On the other hand like if you are paying someone 186,000 a year you ought, there ought to be accountability. Tonight sergeant barrows attorney emailed me to say that he was a victim. All right, thanks. 60 years ago, phenomenal athlete from San Francisco had a choice to make. Tryout for the olympics or record an album. He was one of the most successful recording artists of our time. He was up for a grammy. [ music ] chances are you believe. Reporter the velvet voice of johnny mathis. [ music ] it is wonderful. Mathis grew up on post street in San Francisco. One of seven kids. We lived in a very small flat. One, two, three, four, five rooms for nine people. [ laughter ] reporter his father taught john at an early age to approach appreciate music. I loved it. Great, great singer. He asked me if i wanted to sing to take lessons. Reporter at George Washington high school, mathis was known for his singing and athletic about. He went to fs state for a Sports Scholarship and invited to tryout for the olympics and then boom, fate. 60 years ago on broadway, he had a weekend gig singing in the audience, and a jazz producer.
