Three people were killed, a mother and two children, and three other people were injured in tampa, florida. Five people were killed in the accident. Other accidents also being blamed on senate chap. The San Francisco police union is facing a lot of criticism for refusing to budge on a new use of force policy. New guidelines were put into place after a man was shot and killed by police in december. Last night, during the city council meeting, the mayor and the 49ers exchanged some words. If you remember, mayor lisa gillmor is looking into whether taxpayer dollars are being spent on the stadium to help pay for games and other events, which would actually be in violation of measure j a voterapproved measure that says no taxpayer money can be used at levis stadium. A recent audit shows some taxpayer money was being used on the stadium but the 49ers fired back blasting the auditor of playing on the mayors team. One of the reports thats required that we havent seen is the shared expense report, shared revenue and expense report. So when an event comes in and something is charged, we want to know how whats our share of the expenses and what is the 49ers share of the expenses. New video showing a massive duplex fire in san jose erupted around 1 a. M. On Cypress Avenue. It took 40 firefighters nearly and how to control it. Authorities say that three people were inside at the time. They were able to make it out safely but one of their dogs is missing. The cause of the fire is now under investigation. This one looks to bring with it some widespread rain beginning early saturday morning. Here we are around 3 a. M. Spreading south throughout the bay area throughout the day saturday. Sunday remaining unsettled on into monday of next week. So what to expect . We are going to see Cool Temperatures certainly on the cool side of average. Thats on southbound 880 between 238 and san leandro to industrial parkway. Now if you are moving to the san mateo bridge from there, lets take a look at that. Slowmoving traffic off the toll plaza into foster city across the span. 880 to 101 westbound will take you up to 25 minutes. Now, over to the hillcrest avenue to highway 242, across the span of the highway 4 here, westbound will take you up to 40 minutes once youre driving through pittsburg only moving at 11 Miles Per Hour. So thats at a crawl now and down to the Altamont Pass which is better news here coming off 205 youre moving at 18 Miles Per Hour but speeds pick up to 33 Miles Per Hour once you hit north flynn road. The highest level since 2009. Some of this is being blamed on snapchat which records a vehicles speed in real time. San mateo county prosecutors say that he yelled a racial slur at a latino man on Willow Street in redwood city and punched him in the chest. Coggins is also accused of yelling racialry charged insults at a worker on El Camino Real at a gas station. He pled not guilty and is held on 50,000 bail. Three bodies are found at the scene of a house fire in oakland. I know the woman accused of triple murder will enter a plea. Police found three people shot and stabbed to death friday on dunn behalf drive. They found 61yearold dana rivers at the scene covered with blood with ammo and knives in her pocket. She faces three counts of murder and one count of arson. Rivers made headlines 20 years ago. She was a teacher in a sacramento suburb. The school board voted to fire her after she got a sex change operation to become a woman. The motive for the killings is unclear. Rivers has a plea hearing scheduled for nine a. M. Wild mushrooms are thriving in bay area parks thanks to some rainy weather. But signs are now warning pet owners that some of the plants can be deadly. The university reportedly told about 4 dozen workers they will lose their positions in february. Their jobs will be done by a Company Based in india. An attorney plans to help some of the workers file suit against ucSan Francisco for discrimination. They are treating their employees improperly, unfairly, illegally and its bad public policy. The university released a statement saying it followed all applicable laws and policies. Students in uc california will face a tuition hike next fall. Right now they pay about 12,000 a year in tuition. The board of regents is considering raising instate tuition by 2. 5 or about 280 a year. Out of state students could see a 5 increase. Its where they spotted a clipper ship called the arkansas.
