Its not that extensive because they have done this great thing, they installed this big giant floodgate and they closed those gates for the first time on sunday. And its been working really well except were still anticipating a little light to moderate flooding around the napa area. This is what we are forecasting for the napa river in napa. Flood stage is 25 feet. Today cresting at 26. 1 which means there will be moderate flooding on the secondary roads which we have already seen, the silverado trail with a good mudslide. 37. 6 which means well see flooding around parkers resort, also brookside resort and perhaps even some of the local businesses. And napa river in saint helena, some of the folks in deer park and angwin tell me this is their major commute into the napa area. Silverado trail is the alternate. Thats closed. They are hoping money from the state will cover costs. Workers have been tied up for hours on end clearing trees and power lines from roadways. A suspect is in custody and a child is safely reunited with his mother after a brief car theft in san leandro. San Leandro Police say thats when 44yearold jason sill ba stole the vehicle. The car was found a short time later in oakland with the child inside and silva was later arrested. Governor brown is outlining the next budget plan. He hopes to raise 43 billion over the next 10 years from new taxes and fees. Yesterday he proposed a new 65 fee on all vehicles that would be on top of the 10 fee that starts in april. Well, overall, Governor Brown says that 2017 will be the tightest year since 2012. He is warning of budget cuts as the state has seen a decline in revenue. The governor is asking for a 122. 5 billion budget for the state. And muni officials in San Francisco say the signs predicting arrival times should be accurate for most trains. The agencys next muni system started showing Incorrect Information last tuesday. Some of the plastic animals sitting in a dirty bath of river runoff. Most lowlying areas in Sonoma County are under some water today. It is going to get worse before it gets better. The Flood Warning remains in effect and the latest estimate is that the Russian River will crest at 37. 6 feet later today. That is almost 8 feet above flood stage. 1700 people under evacuation orders right now. A lot of them waiting it out in vehicles but there is an Evacuation Center open at santa rosa Veterans Memorial building. Most residents are used to the flooding but the levels were seeing this week just too high for sandbags. Emergency officials are expecting to have to do more swiftwater rescues today. Turn around; dont drown we have to get that word out. This could have been avoided. Our team caught the driver of this pickup truck trying to push through the road closed warnings on niely road yesterday. The truck stalled, firefighters got the passengers on to rescue rafts and then brought them to shore. The rain is letting up here for now. Buy it will take a long time but it will take a long time for the floodwaters to recede and then there will be a mess to clean up with the mud, nastiness and dirt left behind. Trees and big parts of a hillside went rolling with that mud all slamming into this home on sir Francis Drake and olema. The mudslide destroyed the front steps forcing crews to work their way around plants, mud and live wires to rescue everyone inside the house. The mudslide also caused a gas leak which pg e crews have been working to repair. We have been seeing these mudslides everywhere even our floor manager got stuck in the traffic because of a mudslide on his way to work so couldnt make it to work this morning. The la honda road. I love the peninsula. Thats so woodsy. There was a downed tree and mudslide and said ohoh cant get to work today. Thank you so much. Mudslides are causing problems in fremont. Niles canyon road is closed again as crews work to clear the mud and debris. And take a look at this video from the fremont fire department. They posted this overnight from niles canyon. As you can see, the Alameda Creek is flowing very fast. And right now, chopper 5 is live over the scene in that area of the niles canyon mudslide. You can see some of the equipment there some of the trucks there. Caltrans crews have been working to clear the road. The mudslide is affecting at monday corridor express trains as well this morning. And we have seen that this situation this area has had problems in the past earlier this week as well on monday. Yeah. Its causing a lot of problems on the roads. Thank you. Because of that story kenny just told you, southbound 680 is definitely going to be slow so give yourself some extra time if thats a part of your morning commute. Headed to highway 17, we have been reporting on this all week long and we just cannot catch a break. Lets start with the first problem because there are three im gonna tell you about. First, highway 17 between vine hill road and the glenwood cutoff thats one lane in both directions right now and on the northbound side youre moving at just 5 Miles Per Hour in the area so very, very slow into san jose give yourself some extra time. And then the second problem, northbound 17 after the catch. Caltrain is out there to fill a large pothole in the left lane thats causing cars to break down all morning long so chp is running traffic breaks in the area. So well keep an eye on that and see if thats causing slowdowns in the area, as well. And in the southbound side of 17, after the catch, mudslide in the right lane not causing any delays but like i keep saying well definitely keep an eye on it. It highway 84 la honda road between grandview drive and skywood way thats now open. It was just closed due to a mudslide. And moving over to the peninsula commute, if you are heading into the peninsula from hayward across the span of the san mateo bridge, a lot of slowdowns in the area. 880 to 101, now takes 25 minutes. This is around 5 30 last night. Train service was completely shut down between 24th street in San Francisco and daly city. Wells fargo trying to recover from that scandal that erupted in september. Its announced a new way to compensate its branch bankers. The focus will now be on Customer Service goals rather than sales goals. It will be longer term in approach and will also include more oversight of sales practices. Wells fargo has felt the pain of that scandal. On average, each month since then in september its new Checking Account openings and credit card applications have fallen by 38 each month on average. The next iphone could really look a lot different. The iphone 8 which is expected in september will have glass panels on the front and back and will be connected by a stainless steel frame. Thats a big departure as prior iphones have had an aluminum frame except for the iphone 4 which did have the steel flame. It does a couple of things. Highway 17 between vine hill road and the glenwood cutoff this is still down to one lane in both directions and traffic is moving on the northbound side at just 7 Miles Per Hour. Then heading up northern 17 after the catch, caltrans is filling a pothole causing some accidents. Then we have a mudslide in the right lane in the area.
