The National Security agency Surveillance Program survived a close vote on capitol hill. The house voted last night to continue collecting americans phone records in the fight against terrorism. The vote was 217 to 205 against an amendment to the defense bill. If it had passed, the nsa would have been required to identify specific targets before collecting data.
