The metropolitan Transportation Commission just made one of the biggest purchases of electric cars in the nation. 90 electric cars in various bay area cities will hit the streets. And westbound 580 from the Altamont Pass to the livermore valley. The bulk of traffic is past vasco. We are seeing the delays slow and go from the Altamont Pass into pleasanton so the drive time is in the red. Some of the gusts already this morning through the delta over 30 Miles Per Hour. Temperatures in the Central Valley going to be hot though. 103 in fresno. 91 in sacramento. Be careful into the high country. Still some of the monsoonal moisture there. We could see a few more thunderstorms especially in the afternoon. Not here though. Locally well just see some low clouds and fog and an occasional high cloud drifting through and then the surge of the low clouds and fog into early tomorrow morning maybe all the way into the Central Valley. So if that happens, of course, well have some cooler temperatures. Numbers around the bay area today, about 79 degrees mostly sunny in san jose. About 74 in san mateo. A little breezy there. 80s in many of the interior valleys. Then inside the bay a cool 64 into San Francisco. About 80 degrees in novato and the 81 in santa rosa. Next couple of days, we are going to watch those temperatures cooling down around the bay area numbers dropping through friday.
