He was exciting and kind of dangerous and this is like he is 52 and he is this monster on the pop culture scene. He is an icon in fashion and music and in style and every truest sense of the word. It was just a keyboard and he [ imitating music ] he hit some keys, it was a oneman show and then when he said, deejay, give me a scratch, and then i scratched, he looked up, me and him just had a connection. Reporter he was so impressed he asked her to join hm on stage on tour and renicknamed her purple pan and turntable queen. When he just say turntable queen you can scratch if you want to, when he sang it the first time, i felt special like wow, he sang to me. Every show, he asked the crowd, what do you think of the deejay . And everybodys response was amazing. He said, okay. And the last time when he asked that, he said, now thats my deejay. You kno whats really killing me right now . I go home today . These come in the mail and they were my personalized purple records. I was ready to play for these to show friends and i cant now. Back to you. This morning in San Francisco, a 17foot sinkhole. The ground gave way at 5 p. M. Yesterday on sacramento between lion and baker. It seems that a sewer break caused the trouble. No injuries. The intersection is closed to traffic. The sinkhole is localized to the middle of the street. The homes are not affected. Crews will be here tonight assisting anyone who wants to come in and out of these homes with their cars on the driveways and crews will be here to assist them. And repairs wont be simple. Officials predict they will take two to three days. Now, one Silver Lining for commuter, muni lines have not been affected in that part of pacific heights. 100 million, thats how much uber is shelling out to close several class action lawsuits. California and massachusetts both sued the company for more job security and bargaining rights for drivers. Under the settlement, uber will pay a portion of the 100 million to each state and drivers will still be independent contractors. At a church in clayton a new rainbow flag is up but its been stolen nearly 10 times. Da lin tells us about the most recent incident that has one man facing hate crime charges reporter Clayton Valley presbyterian raised the rainbow flag six months ago to show unity and inclusion. Instead, its been the target of hate. Its been taken three times. Once on sunday and twice on tuesday. Thats three times in a short period of time. Before then, it was about once a month. Reporter barbara took photos of two men stealing the flag on sunday. A man actually climbed the cross to take it down. A Church Member replaces it every time its stolen. But someone came back Tuesday Morning and afternoon both times burning the flag. The person also left a message that reads, all evil will be eradicated. The implication is that lgbtq people are evil and that they will be wiped out. Reporter with the help of witnesses, Clayton Police arrested two people. Prosecutors are charging one of them, 22yearold john hearst of concord, with hate crime, arson and vandalism. Police released the other man. Its been surprising to me how much anger and hate, um, this brings about. Reporter i went to the suspects home and talked to his father. The father is aware of the arrest but says he is not sure why his son burned the flag. As for the church, barbara is ready to forgive and would like to talk to the suspect. We are going to approach even those people who do this kind of thing with love, compassion, forgiveness and reconciliation. A former female crew member says she approached coach mike teddy about being assaulted at a party in 2013 by one of the male rowers. Instead of reporting it, she says, teddy told her to stop crying. In an email to the east bay time, teti says the allegations are completely false and he believes an investigation will prove this. A lawsuit is sparking debate in santa clara over freedom of religion because of this cross at a cityowned park. The freedom from Religion Foundation says the symbol is a clear violation of the separation of church and state. The organization is based in wisconsin but says it filed a lawsuit on behalf of a santa clara resident. We only get involved when local members contact us about something thats going on in their communities. So its not an outside group thats coming in to to rile up the community.
