It happened yesterday afternoon at la grande and brazil avenue. Kpix 5s andria borba has details of what happened reporter in the parking lot of the june Jordan School for equity, yellow chalk outlines mark the spot where evidence markers sat. It was a quarter after 3 00 when school was letting out that the parking lot of the Excelsior School turned into a shooting gallery. I heard boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, you know, six i counted six. It could have been serve. It could have been five. But it could have been 7. It could have been 5. But i counted 6. And i said i dont think thats, you know, backfire from a car. Reporter sfpd says four men in hoodies took aim outside the high school. Three of the students who were shot ran back inside prompting a lockout with no one in or out except Police Officers and firefighters. They thought this was an active shooter because they saw the victims inside the school. Reporter students were stuck inside frantically calling parents. Blanca estrada said she didnt calm down until she heard from her son jonathan he was okay. He says mom, dont worry, im okay. Reporter room by room, the school was cleared and three victims were rushed to the hospital. A fourth shooting victim a teenaged boy turned up here at a Police Station 2. 5 miles away from june Jordan School. As the ambulances cleared the scene, what may have happened in the parking lot became clearer to San Francisco detectives. This was not just a random shooting. And the suspect didnt come here to randomly shoot at the students. So we believe that this was a targeted shooting. Reporter in San Francisco, bob kpix 5. The injured students are recovering at San Francisco general hospital. Students from neighboring high schools were outside last night showing their support. We have learned more about the victims. One female student had life threatening injuries and is in critical condition. Two male juveniles were shot but they are expected to survive. And a fourth victim walked into the bayview Police Station before being rushed to sf general. Students described the immediate lockout after the shots rang out. Everybody was surprised. We thought it was, like, practice. But it wasnt. And then she locked us in and we were just there waiting for announcements. Hospital officials tell us they cannot release any information about the identity of the students because they are minors. The stage is set in las vegas and in just a few hours Hillary Clinton and donald trump will have their last facetoface showdown before the election. East of the bay, numbers topping off at 38 for the warmest spots towards the delta, brentwood, tracy, oakley, discovery bay, through mountain house. More fallout for San Franciscobased wells fargo. The bay areas biggest county just cut ties with the bank and more are threatening to do the same. Betty yu on why so many are jumping ship. Reporter the largest county in Northern California is dropping wells fargo as its bank after it admitted to creating more than 2 million phony bank and credit card accounts to collect fees. We use them on a regular basis. But going forward, we are not going to use them for investments. We wont be using them as a broker dealer or underwriting debt. Reporter the county will continue to do its daytoday business with wells fargo because they are under contract for at least another two years. Wells fargos stagecoach has left ghost town leaving dust and wind behind it. Now california is rocked by the latest scandal coming out of the Business Model of what some analysts call controlled fraud. Reporter in San Francisco, Supervisor John Avalos introduced a resolution to cut ties with the bank. He is also demanding a review of all past dealings between the city and wells fargo. Wells fargo said it committed to fix what went wrong and restore public trust. The San Jose City council has approved some changes to the citys medical marijuana regulations. The 16 medical marijuana businesses sanctioned by the city will be allowed to grow pot at two sites instead of one. And one of the sites can be located anywhere in california. Also, the collectives will be allowed to make deliveries to patients and caregivers 21 or older. The deliverymen must have Police Background checks. That decision was made to curb the recent growth of illegal pot deliveries. A decision in Santa Clara County in a case that involved a superior court judge who is the target of a recall effort. College of san mateo Football Player keenan smith was originally sentenced by judge persky. Yesterday a different judge ordered smith to spend eight weekends in jail to failing to live up to terms of a Domestic Violence plea agreement. Persky is no longer on the case now hearing civil matters. His harshest critic says he was too lenient in the Sexual Assault case of former stanford swimmer brock turner and in this case, as well. We cant afford to have judges who think football is a higher priority than addressing violence against women. His critics claim he has a pattern of difference towards college athletes. Reporter her sons, 18year old lance and 20yearold chance argall were in a car driven by a third man, 18year old chance maurer. They were on sir Francis Drake west of Samuel Taylor state park when the car crossed the lane of traffic went into the ditch and wrapped around a tree. All three were killed. Police have made no determination whether alcohol or drugs played a part in the wreck. I love my boys more than anything in the world. And now my whole purpose of living and and so, um, now im lost. A man suspect of starting dozens of fires over the last few months is in custody in fremont. Police say that 30yearold cory minhas started more than a dozen small fires since mid july. Heres the aftermath of some of those fires. Most of them were set in bushes, dumpsters and trees in warm springs. The suspect was found near the fire on friday. He was arrested on two counts of arson. Wreckage of a small plane that went missing over the sierra has been found. Search crews spotted it yesterday afternoon southwest of lake tahoe. The El Dorado CountySheriffs Office says a mans body was found just outside the plane but they havent identified him yet.
