Horrors That's right millennial are using tracking apps to track mom and dad they talk about Christie's Spitler 21 year old University of Alabama senior she was home on break in Maryville Tennessee when her parents left for a week in July telling her they keep the house clean she says instead she just kind of trash the place a lift issues out I would leave my clothes on the floor which says she didn't have to worry because she was tracking her parents on their i Phone app that showed their whereabouts and an hour before they were about ready to be home the absolute jest and that she get up and she started vacuuming doing the dishes and she mop so when Mom and Dad got home the place was amazing Alex of MacDonald Columbus Ohio discovered that her parents actually live to work that's right the 24 year old Aboriginal that wife claiming to be stuck in traffic when she called her parents which they said they were they were actually eating at a restaurant and the mother says the reason why whatever the dish is Alexa wants shrimp on it as one of the most expensive things on the menu so sorry Alexa Jamie Barnhill a senior at the University of California keeps an eye on her parents using another app live 361 night at school she saw they were just driving home and she says I'm studying being a good college student I look at my phone it's like Mom Dad It's 1 o'clock in the morning aren't you home yet. So yes so now the kids are actually tracking the parents are I this past week we had the big i Phone announcement right there was all super excited about the i Phone 8 in the 8 plus in the i Phone 10 but is that that amazing is it that great as it have all the features that maybe they could have put into say the 10th edition of the i Phone and maybe it could have been the rumor mills that we all knew what was coming in the i Phone 10 before we actually side we knew that it would have facial i.d. And a better chip and better cameras than a wireless charging which is not exactly all new technology the reason why I bring that up is Samsung. Samsung is about to announce that starting next year the holy grail of smartphone technology will be in the new Galaxy s. And the we used to give him to the boys and they're like $353035.00 a pop there we go and the only thing it gives you is longitude and that's what I'm looking for I couldn't couldn't find the said oh I'll send you some links the other thing that I was thinking of my other idea was that if you could put all these on Google maps because you could create your own custom Google map and I know it's a lot but it would be a resource that would you say 30 if 30 sales reps Ok so it could be a resource for you for actually the entire company when you think about absolute is that you could make your own Google Maps and put pish pushpins virtual pins in the map with the names of the cemeteries and then people could search for that name and then know exactly where they're located and then at that point Google Maps works offline so if somebody has a smartphone but there's no cell connection in that area they still would be able to get their. You could do comments like you said like the house used to be blue but now it's yellow. Or the last time we were there the house was yellow when I it may be blue we're not sure but look for the other marker that is the big tree if not look for the stump that's on the right hand side so that you could come even to commenting that way and then in addition to that of course you have the old school way so if you have somebody who's like not technically adept they could actually print out the map. And get the directions there. So that's what that's what I was kind of thinking a couple of ways that you might be able to do that but you know the hiking g.p.s. Those little tiny almost disposable g.p.s. Does that actually are in g.p.s. And it only gives you a launch at your latitude and what does it cost. That with that call the 2nd one the Amazon. Let me find a link for you there are different manufacturers Ok but there are new typically made I mean like I said the I mean you're not talking about like some is going to last for choose yours. I've had a lot of problems and I started out with Facebook Well I got business when America is going cracked the world is starting to get big and I don't know what's going on that we had that we had 1st of all on Facebook I got some phony thing happen to me and not long after that. And it was going off and on in and stuff going on all different websites just not true about me and then and then later on I had to I had to leave the part I had to move out of where I was at that was my business and as I was had I had such a couple guys of helping me and one of the guys happen to snatch my tablet my phone and I couldn't find him and I was looking all over out of my pickup truck and I looked all over thought maybe I lost him because I've been working so hard and knocked him out a pickup truck but he took I'm a try to take the same chip out of my phone so I could find out all my contacts and my business and everything and put into my tablet and he ruined my phone and he said he found it out on the ground which I know where I was at and it wasn't where he said he found the phone and so I knew he was lying and he still got my tablet and I was wondering. And they made death threats they stole guns from me and they stole equipment up to about $50000.00 and I would like to catch him you know and he's still got my tablet but I'd also like to stop him from people from getting on my phone I don't know how to do all that I don't know science but I don't know what technology is like owns and stuff so you say you had like just was like really string a bad luck. They were really string of bad luck because and it's been really really bad luck but there's been criminal things happening everything else and the hand it's and it's just like someone's following me all the time you know so do you think you're like you know you have your phone back right and I got a new one now I got it and I've had had them crash top 3 times and then I got another new one and I changed my number from my old number 2 number I had earlier you know on my on my whines because these are cell phones and they're you know so you see you've got a lot of things going on Jan I'm I guess I'm getting confused like how I can what can I do to help you without to like to New always is there a way to stop them from Find out how I can find out who's listening to me or and also Also can I find out how to block them from listening to me so are they were they listening to you. I think the microphone is just too much too much is coincidental you know to not be around so you see you think that somebody is somebody is keeping track of all your phone calls and text messages and even interact on my phone calls and listening on me and knowing what I'm going to do from all the time you know well and I'd wonder if there's a way to track it or anything like that find out who they are there's really not so much a way to track it although you know as well as I do that of course the government has all kinds of tools right but we don't really have those tools the easiest thing you can do that if you think somebody is listening in on your conversations and getting your e-mails and stuff is that you can totally knock them out of the system by doing a factory reset you know so you go to a phone and you go to System you go to settings and then says factory reset and then it warns you that everything's going to be wiped out all your data everything that's on there and then and then you just start from scratch you know. You know typically if if somebody is going to install something like this on your phone is that they have to have the they have to have their phone in their possession meaning they have to pick the phone up and they've got to actually install something or get something on there another way that it might happen is if you get like something like an electronic greeting card or a phishing scam or an e-mail you know it's not that unheard of but it's pretty rare that this happened but again if this is something that you're concerned about the easiest way to knock anybody end of the system is to do just a complete factory reset Yes and I haven't thought if someone actually is listening to him through his phone and point would putting it in airplane mode because that disconnected from everything right from the cells from the wife I would that avoid them but then you don't really you know you have an i Pod It's true but if you're worried your parent to say something that is sensitive I just wondered if that would work yeah I would stop using a cell phone if I were jam but areas just to get rid of phone go back to a flip phone. Then maybe they're listening to that maybe somebody in your house maybe there's a device maybe there's something on your shelf maybe there's something in your belt or your shoe I mean you know there's like all these listening devices out there because we haven't Alexa. B.s. In your household No it's not but it is a nice thing to have I mean to listen to music but I just I you know we've talked about it here on the show so many times I just don't like the fact that I know that this thing is always listening but at the same time so is my phone right phones always listening but you know I didn't like when it really bothered me when I went into my lecture recordings and i heard me talking about selling a building and I didn't like the letter of intent and it had nothing to do with Aleck's I didn't even say anything that was like Alexa and you can turn that off or you can. There's a microphone on the top of Alexa a microphone button that and then instead of that ring only being blue supposedly when she's listening is that that ring turns red So now you have this annoying red ring.
