Kron 4s Ella Sogomonian met with those that worked closely with the two 23year old suspects. She joins us live tonight. Ella what are friends saying . Reporter they cannot believe that those names are at all associated with this heinous crime let alone that taylor and rogers are in jail tonight facing possible murder charges. 21yearold Karla Ramirez segoviano of san leandro was just starting a career in Law Enforcement with the Alameda County Sheriffs Office. But those dreams were cut short when she was found brutally killed in an oakland park thursday as seen in this video from our helicopter partnership with abc7. Deputy priscilla silva, Alameda County Sheriffs Office a very, independent, strong , motivated woman. One of the things she brought to our objective was a sense of family. Were also learning new information about the couple arrested in connection to this heinous crime. Coworkers at this oakland kfc say 23yearold laura rogers was a bubbly girl who they didnt think was capable of such a thing. Over at youth uprising in oakland 23yearold Curtys Taylor worked closely with kids managing activities and breaking up fights. Those who worked alongside taylor say they only saw good qualities in him. Mahlika alfresco, aquainted with suspects he was really nice and friendly, helping with the kids very goofy. He would help open the doors for me when i needed to walk home he would offer a ride. Just a gentlemanlike person. Alfresco also went to Holy Names High School with rogers. In the halls she would walk by and say hi to me i would say hi back greeting with a very bubbly smile. But former kfc employees say eventually they no longer saw that smile. That rogers grew quiet ovetime and stopped interacting with customers too. Alfresco says the Holy Names High School is a tight knit community that has been shaken up by these allegations. But its also where they finally arrested jaymar ross. This is what the station looked like a little after nine saturday night. i saw the helicopter like around 9 30. I just figured something mustve happened, ya know . Just a half hour earlier, officers got reports of a shooting on northbound 680, near the highway 84 onramp. Witnesses say it looked like road rage, in which one car tried to run the other off the road. Then one driver pulled out a gun. They were not hurt. Their car was hit, but they were not hurt, and it didnt hit anyone inside the vehicle. Officers found the orange car in question, but the driver refused to pull over, leading chp on a tenmile chase until he finally exited at Ygnacio Valley road in walnut creek. Ross got out of his car and tried to run, but officers caught up to him, at which point he started complying. I thought it was pretty bizarre that someone would go to those lengths just to argue with someone or to retaliate over something that happens almost every day in traffic. The arrest was away from the train platforms, so it didnt affect bart service. With knine units on the scene, officers discovered ross was in possession of narcotics. As for the road rage, chp says even the things that start small dont always stay small. Its something that does happen. Tonight, the search is on for the missing Shasta County wife and mother of two. 34year old Sherri Papini from redding disappeared while on a jog on wednesday. Investigators say she texted her husband earlier that day. But when he returned home from work she was nowhere to be found. Also, she had not picked up her two children from daycare. Her husband tracked papinis i phone and found it on a road. Searches there have turned up nothing. Papinis family believes she was abducted. She was last seen in a pink jogging suit. The driver a san jose man in his 20s was driving a 2010 chevorlet camaro. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers say the camaro and another vehicle had been racing.
