This is in the area of east st. John street and 17th streets. The fire broke out around 4 30 this morning. This is a picture from the San Jose Fire Department. As of right now there are no injuries reported and fire officials are still working to contain the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No word yet on if this mornings fire is related to a string of fires in san jose. In the last three days there have been approximately 7 fires within a 2 mile radius east of downtown san jose. A nearby Drywall Company was hit early thursday morning just down the street, a home also set on fire friday. the owner of the drywall happened. Here is video from earlier where the Fire Departments stated that the fire broke out atthis morning and that a Good Samaritans and might have saved lives. Apparently a jogger was going past when he spotted the fire. He went to door to door knocking on the house that was burning and a neighbor tried to wake someone up. He could i get any one of so instead, he took off on foot over to the fire station and started to ring the alarm. At that point, the San Jose Fire Department was alerted and they arrived here in just a matter of minutes. They were able to get the residents to recite evacuate it. This was a very good news. It took about 45 minutes to get this under control. As you said, this could be as many as half a dozen fires within the small area of san jose. This has happened within the last four to five days. A talk with one of the Police Departments and they strongly suspect that this may be related to this fire to these others that have occurred during the same way. This stated that the task force will be held on to say to take a look. The irony is that the Fire Department was going to hold a press conference at noon to announce a 10,000 reward to any evidence to the person who is causing the fires. It seems that these fires are escalated and we have had one other fire and on 17th street. The similarities are too coincidental. They believe this may be escalating. Theyre looking closely to this fire and a video that they can come up with. They have axed anyone who have seen any thing to come forward. That will remain out here for a couple more hours. That was quick thinking. I just wonder if the firefighters that arrived were able to contain the fire to one house. Yes. They contended to one house but unfortunately it is a victorian house. If you can see the damage that has been done. The roof area is completely destroyed. Apparently there was an elderly couple inside and they were able to get out of the house and theyre safe, no injuries which is good news. It appears that this house is a complete loss. Staff members of new jersey governor Chris Christie are accused of deliberately causing huge traffic jams on the George Washington bridge. Emails surfaced this week that appear to show christies deputy chief of staff, bridget kelly, coordinated the lane closures. The lawsuit seeks punitive damages from governor christie and kelly. In an angry email sent last september , a Port Authority executive director criticized the closings near the bridge saying the lane closings were abusive and violated federal law. The water crisis continues for hundreds of thousands of residents in West Virginia. As a chemical leak is causing major problems. The good news is that no one was hurt. A Good Samaritans stepped in. The fire broke out at about 4 30 a. M. A jogger was coming down the street and noticed the fire. He knocked on the door of the house where the fire was but also the neighbors door. He cannot get anyone to come out so it took matters in his own hand. He took off down the street and physically went to the Fire Department which is on a block away and run the bail. At that point, the Fire Department came to the scene. And the occupants inside of the home were able to get out without any injuries. This is great news. As far as the fires that they have been having in san jose they stated that this may be connected to and they believe that this is the work of a serial arsonist. They stated that this person may have struck so many times. I had a chance to talk to an officer from the Fire Department and this is what he had to say. At this point you have to know is you have seen there has been video footage that this person is setting fires. This person set this fire. Were all looking for this person. The highly believe that this is connected to the other fires in the same area. Aside from these recent fires are there other similarities. But there are no survivors. Missing san jose pilot, dale smith. His two children. And their significent others. Were on board. A jobber was running by this area when he noticed smoke and flames were coming out of a home.
