The city many dates they arrive in less than ten minutes. The first ambulance was dispatched at 2 12 p. M. And arrived at 2 26. 12minute wait. The second ambulance did not arrive until 2 37. A wait time of 23 minutes. That ambulance was reportedly for anitas friend. Now joanne hayeswhite says the ambulance wasnt called until 2 31. She said the ambulance only took 60 minutes. San Francisco Police are investigating a robbery and shooting Near Civic Center plaza. It happened just before 3 00 this morning at height and fulton. Police say the suspect demanded a group of men and demanded money. After taking cash, he shot one of the men. The victim was taken to San Francisco general hospital. Police have not released any information on his condition. Andrew gutierrez an Stephen Petersen are accused of setting seven fires in alameda. Police say gutierrez was seen on Surveillance Video at the scene of one of the fires. Friends of petersen says he lives in alameda. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Take a look at the video. Police say it shows gutierrez walking up to a dumpster, minutes later hes seen running away. They say petersen, he was seen at the scene of several fires by a firefighter and Police Officers. But his friends say he was at work when the fires were set and only in the area because he was walking home. He always talked about nonviolence as the solution. It just doesnt seem absolutely absolutely out of cake ter. Police say all of the firefighters were started in trash cans, dumpsters and cars and spread to buildings. There is a new action plan designed to make a dangerous intersection in San Franciscos chinatown safer following the death of an elderly woman last week. 78yearold fong yip li was hit and killed at stockton and sacramento streets. Three days later, a neighbor in her building was hit and injured. Family members say that intersection has been dangerous for too long. When i got that call that day, i couldnt believe it. No possible. My moms so healthy. So active. Sing and dance. A Memorial Service for her and a rally calling for new Safety Measures will be held tomorrow at 10 00 a. M. At that intersection. In the meantime, police are considering adding protected leftturn lanes and new safety features for people crossing the street. Firefighters battling the massive king fire in El Dorado County say its almost out and almost fully contained. Its burned more than 97,000 acres. Its now 92 contained. Its been burning for more than two weeks. Yesterday, fire crews spent another day putting out hot spots. A lot of people are returning to the area just to find their homes are gone. Two houses down here completely down of his got scorched. This bys cabin burned down. My cousin lives just about a quarter mile up. Hers burnt down. 12 homes were destroyed. It threatened several reservoirs that supply water and electricity to parts of northern california. Full containment is expected on saturday. 7 25. Today is governor jerry browns deadline to either sign or veto a new gun law bill. The bill would allow Family Members to ask a judge for a restraining order banning a Family Member who is considered dangerous from having a gun. It was proposed after the deadly shooting in Santa Barbara where six people were killed and 13 others hurt. Before that rampage, the gunmans parents had been concerned about his behavior and had alerted deputies. So deputies visited the young man but determined he was not a threat. The proposed bill would make california the first state in the nation to let Family Members bypass Law Enforcement and directly ask a judge for a restraining order. And Governor Brown said he will probably sign a bill creating the first statewide ban mon single use plastic bag. The governor said it will help reduce litter. It would ban Large Grocery stores from carries plastic bags starting in july of next year. It would expand to Smaller Stores the year after. Back to the desk. A violent crash in san pablo ends with three women including two teens being rushed to the hospital. Alex savidge joining us live now with more on how an attempted traffic stop by police turned into something a lot worse. Good morning, alex. Reporter dave good morning. San pablo police figured out the car involved in this chase and crash was stolen. There was an officer in pursuit last night when the driver of that stolen car lost control here along san pablo avenue near church lane and the car hit the Center Median rolling over at least one time. One person inside was thrown out. The accident happened around 8 00 last night. There were a total of three victims taken to the hospital. Two of them are teenaged girls. One is a young woman. One of the people involved in the crash was in Critical Condition. At last check, the other two were treated and then later released from the hospital. This was the end of a brief pursuit by San Pablo Police. It started about a halfmile up the road when an officer tried to pull this car over for a vehicle code violation. But the driver wouldnt stop and took off. Because this crash happened during a Police Pursuit, a multiagency major Accident Investigation Team was called in this morning to gather evidence at the scene. Any time there is an officer involved and somebody is critically injured, they come out and do a clear investigation. Its clear transparency of whats going on. We have another agency come out and take a look at it and make sure everything is done right and hoon honest. Reporter police cant say where the three victims are from or their expect ages or if there will be charges. Police also dont know if drugs or alcohol are a factor. But that will be looked at. A woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a car while riding her bike in milpitas. It happened on montague expressway near the great paul parkway. Police say after the woman was hit, the driver sped away. Witnesses played a major role in finding the car that hit that bicyclist. Witnesses definitely did help with providing us information about the direction of travel, as well as a description of the vehicle. And about ten minutes later, Police Located car. It was parked at the great mall. More information is expected to come out later today. 7 34. A suspect wanted in palo alto makes friends with a homeowner during a manhunt. It ended last night after police searched for the man for nearly four and a half hours. Janine de la vega joins us live from the palo alto neighborhood where the search ended. Good morning, janine. Reporter good morning. Ive been talking to people who live in this neighborhood north of downtown. They are surprised that one of their neighbors allowed a stranger into their home. But thats what happened on everett court. The suspect talked his way into a home. Police say dom economy nick tab is wanted for sex crimes with a minor. Yesterday afternoon around 5 00, an employee on lytton avenue and palo alto called 911 after realizing that he was trying to commit fraud. Officers arrived and tabb ran away hopping a fence. Officers set up a perimeter in the nearby neighborhood and started doing a yardtoyard search. They brought in k9s and did a vance vas for nearly four and a half hours. An alert officer spotted tabb walking out of a home with a homeowner when he approached, tabb started to run. He ran into the arms of another nearby officer and was arrested. The homeowner is in his 60s. He said he found tabb in his backyard injured. He said tabb told him he had been jumped. The homeowner offered to help him, even offering a dinner and a ride to a train station. I will never let somebody in my house. I will definitely call the police if Something Like that happens. Reporter are you surprised he was able to trick police for so long . Yeah, im pretty surprised. Reporter the homeowner had gotten an alert from the county by phone about the manhunt but he believed the suspect didnt fit the description. Police say its fortunate that he didnt become a victim of the suspect and Palo Alto Police are urging people not to alou strangers in their allow strangers in that homes. San Francisco Court clerks have authorized a strike and their union says they could walk off the job at any time. The Court Workers overwhelmingly approved the strike but no strike date has been set. Members of the union say the court has the money to give them the 3 raise they are asking for. They say Court Administrators are not offering them any raise. The court is not commenting. The workers went on strike in 2012 before reaching this current work agreement. 7 37. San francisco voters could have a say in the future of the citys wholesale flower part. According to the examiner, a group of vendors, floor rifts and others will file paperwork to get a measure on the 2015 ballot. It would protect the flower mat from a planned Technology Office development. Earlier this month, most of the San FranciscoFlower Growers association voted to sell their half of the flower mart to Kilroy Realty corporation. The proposal is to allow the Television Broadcast of an nfl game in the hometown even if the game is not sold out. Now, the federal Communications Commission is due to vote on that proposal today. Called the blackout rule. It was first imposed in the 1970s as a way to encourage people to go to the game in person rather than watch it on tv. A couple commissioners on the fcc argue the rule benefits the legal and team owners at the expense of people and families who are fans but cant get to the stadium or cant afford to go in person. Recent figures show it can cost a family of four 500 to go to a game when you factor in parking and food. The agency says last year, attendance rates at every stadium in the league were 80 or higher. San Francisco Police chief greg suhr says six Police Officers fired 32 shots during last weeks deadly confrontation with a carjacking suspect in the finance am district. Police financial district. Police are only identifying the suspect as a 34yearold man. They say he carjacked an suv in richmond. He was chased by Police Across the Richmond San Rafael bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge before he crashed. When people tried to help the suspect in the wreckage, he opened fire on them and barely missed hitting one man. He had said that he still had the taste of the gun powder in his mouth. A settlement has been reached in the case of a 12yearold girl hit and killed in novato. The accident happened two years ago on novato boulevard. Hailey ratliff was on her bike after school when a speeding suv hit her. The suit claims the driver was going 65 miles an hour in a 45 mileanhour zone. As part of the settlement, the drivers employer and the city of novato will have to pay 1 million to the ratliff family. The city also agreed to evaluate the safety of novato boulevard. The second ambulance did not arrive until 2 37, a wait time of 23 minutes. That ambulance was reportedly for anitas friend. Now, fire chief Joanne Hayes White says the second ambulance was not called for until 2 31. The ambulance she said only six minutes. The Mayors Office released a statement saying the mayor and anita thanked the First Responders who provided excellent care of mrs. Lee immediately following a car accident in which she was treated and transported to San Francisco general hospital. Mrs. Lee was treated and released from sfgth. Police say the suspect confronted several men and demanded money and after taking cash he shot one of the men who was taken to San Francisco general hospital. So far theres no word on his condition. Now, the bill would let Family Members ask a judge for a restraining order to keep a Family Member considered dangerous from having a gun. It was proposed after a deadly shooting in Santa Barbara where six people were killed, 13 others were hurt. Before that rampage, the gunmans parents alerted deputies about his behavior. So deputies went to see him. They determined he was not a threat. This proposed bill would make california the first state in the nation to let Family Members bypass Law Enforcement and directly ask a judge for a restrapping order restraining order. Governor brown said he will probably sign a bill on single use plastic bags. The governor says that will help reduce litter. Now, the bill would ban Large Grocery stores from carrying plastic bags beginning in july of next year. This would expand to Smaller Stores the year after. Reporter San Pablo Police say the car that crashed last night at the end of this pursuit turned out on stolen. You an officer was chasing that car up san pablo avenue last night and then right in this area near church lane, the driver of that stolen car lost control, hit the Center Median and then rolled at least one time. One of the three people inside that car was thrown out. This one car accident happened around 8 00 last night. There were a total of three victims taken to the hospital. Two of them were told are teenaged girls. One of them is a young woman according to police. One of the people involved in the crash is in Critical Condition at last check. The other two were treated and then released later from the hospital. This was all a brief pursuit or it began as a brief pursuit by San Pablo Police. That pursuit started about a halfmile up the road from where the accident was when an officer tried to pull over this car for a vehicle code violation. But the driver then took off. At one point, it decided to accelerate and try to pull away from the officer. It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the Center Median and flipped the vehicle over. It all occurred under a half a mile and just under 20 seconds. Reporter police havent been able to say at this point where the three victims involved in this crash are from. Investigators are also looking to see if alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the accident. Because this crash happened during a Police Pursuit, the chps major Accident Investigation Team was called out to collect evidence at the scene. This is a team that conducts investigations for various agencies with major injury accidents. The investigation here at this scene has clearly wrapped up. A woman is fighting for her life right now after being hit by a car while riding her bike in milpitas. It happened last night about 6 00 on montague expressway near great mall parkway. Police say after the woman was hit, the driver sped away. Witnesses played a big part in finding the car that hit the bicyclist. Witnesses definitely did help with the providing information of the vehicle. About ten minutes later, police found the car. It was parked at the great mall. More information about what happened out there is expected to be released today. Mountain view police have released new information about bizarre deaths of a father and son inside an apartment filled with gas. It happened last wednesday at an apartment on california street. Investigators now say one person took his own life and the death of the other was an accident. Police and firefighters found the bodies of 53yearold lee ann lu and, the son, william, inside the apartment along with chemicals that when mixed form a toxic gas. Police have not said which death was a suicide and which death was an accident. A manhunt on the peninsula has ended after hours of searching. Police say a homeowner turned and unking knowingly helped unknowingly helped hide the suspect. Heres more. Reporter police are urging people this morning not to let strangers into your home. The suspect ended up tricking one of the residents who lives here on everett court. This is in a neighborhood thats just north of downtown and officers say that this person is lucky they werent victimized by the suspect. This is a photo of dominique arnette tabb. He had a warrant out for his arrest out of oklahoma for sex crimes with a minor. Police received a 911 call around 5 00 after an employee from the bank of america on lytton avenue called to report that tabb tried to cash a fraudulent check. He ran away from the bank and hopped aence fence. Officers called in kines and beyond a yardtoyard search. After four and a half hours, he was spotted walking out of a home with a homeowner. When that officer approached, tabb started to running but another officer was able to catch him. The homeowner is a man in his 60s who said he found tabb in his backyard injured. He said he was jumped. He offered dinner and a ride to the train station. The homeowner got an alert about the manhunt but didnt believe the suspect fit the description. We would discourage anybody taking a stranger in their house, this was a dangerous situation. Fortunately, nothing bad happened. San jose councilman sam liccardo is facing dave cortese in a race to become the leader of the bay areas largest city. Now, last night, the two candidates squared off in a forum focusing on the big issues in san jose, Public Safety and pension reform. This issue of pension reform is a deflection to take us what i think is the issue today in this city and thats Public Safety, the loss of over 400 Police Officers. Our Police Department shrank by 323 officers before pension reform ever passed. It sh rank for one sh rank for one reason, we had no money. They say the election in november will hinge on out voters see how the two candidates are different on this reform issue. The race termed out chuck reed. The university of california wants to make the entire University System more welcoming to transgender students and employees. Well, the mayor says that he and his wife believe that his wife received the appropriate level of care during an accident she was involved in yesterday. We also spoke with the fire chief who says that the ambulances did respond on time. But the dispatch reports that we obtained paint a much divet picture here are photos where the accident happened in the citys sunnyside district. A driver crashed into a parked truck yesterday afternoon. According to sources, the passenger in the wrecked car was mayor ed lees wife, anita. The Mayors Office said the first lady is okay. She initially had back pain, numbness and tingling. The driver of the car was complaining of chest pain. Two ambulances were called, a code 3 call, considered life threatening. Both ambulances arrived ten minutes later. The many date is less than ten minutes. The first ambulance arrived at 2 26 and there was a wait time of 12 minutes. The second ambulance did not arrive until 2 27 a wait time of 23 minutes. That ambulance was for the driver. Joanne hayeswhite says that second ambulance was not actually called until later. In reality, she says it only took six minutes. The first ambulance she said was dispatched as nonlife threatening. Therefore, the ambulances were both on time in her opinion.
