Someone spraypainted the word jesus on the front gate of a mosque in hawthorne yesterday and then left what appeared to be a hand grenade in the driveway. The bomb squad was calmed in and determined that the grenade was just a plastic replica. Police were called again though after vandals spraypainted the phrase jesus is the way on a second mosque in the say same city. A congressional hearing will be held today in sacramento to find ways to combat gun violence. This comings on the third anniversary of the sandy hook elementary shooting and less than two weeks after the San Bernadino terror attack. Now, new yorks governor says if congress is not able to pass such a law, then individual states should be allowed to access the list so they can take action on their own. The federal government to figure out how to use that terrorist data base as part of their background check, option one, or establish a protocol that allows the states to do it and new york state will. Officials in Santa Clara County are trying to track down more than a thousand people who may have been exposed to tb, including about 350 infants. Hospital Officials Say the risk of infection is slim, but the outcome can be severe for infants if they are infected. The hospital is offering free testing and treatment for babies and parents who are potentially exposed between mid august to mid november. People in san jose can start seeing bigger trash collection bins at their homes soon. According to the mercury news, it is one of the ideas being considered by the city to reduce the amount of garage getting mixed into the recycling bins. A recent study found that as much as 40 of the materials people dump into the recycling bins are actually garbage. The study also found that recycling rates are down. The city council is expected to take up the issue in february. Also today, seattle could become the first city to allow drivers of Ridesharing Companies like uber and lift to unionize. The city council is expected to vote later today on whether to extend collective bargaining rights for drivers of higher Transportation Companies and appbased Ride Services that are part of the growing on demand economy. People gathered in paris to mark one month since the terrorist attack that killed 131 people and injured hundreds more. A steady stream of people stood in the concert hall where a memorial holds hundreds of flowers, candles, and notes. Eightynine people were killed there while attending a concert. I try to understand why this happened. The i try to understand why by killing more people. It doesnt make sense to me. Reporter one of the at that tack one of the attackers is still at large, and all of the others were killed that day. Well, two San Francisco Police Officers rescued a woman who was stuck in a sofa bed for more than 12 hours. Now, on the quay after thanksgiving, officers of the richmond station were checking on an 84yearold woman who lives alone. She didnt answer the door, but the officers heard her family calling out faintly calling out to them. Police say the two got into the house and found the womans sofa bed frame had cracked and she had fallen through and gotten stuck. The woman was taken to the hospital and recovering. Corrections officials are surprised by the number of sex offenders who are not restricted on where they can live. That is after a recent Court Ruling Said only child molesters can be banned from living near children. Now only 24 of all registered sex offenders can be limited on where they live. State officials expected about half of all paroleees would be restricted. Police are looking for the group of people who defaced the facebook offices in germany.
