New from overnight, investigators are trying to figure out what caused the fire that badly damaged this heating and airconditioning business in livermore. We have fog, yesterday higher, and today being suppressed, plane from point break southward, and not as much on the sonoma goes, but san mateo in santa cruz plane all away down the Southern California. It is offshore for most, at least to the north. 49 and 51, cold water temperatures, meaning low clouds and fog had no problem forming even down to Southern California. The San Jose Police department is issuing body cameras to its officers beginning today. It is recommended that the officers turn on the body cameras during confrontation was suspects, and in any situation that involves the use of force. They will turn off the cameras during private conversations, tactical briefings and strip searches. They have approved the resolution last month, purchasing 963 cameras. I think this will obviously put the Police Department somewhere it has ever been, for the first time we will have Police Officers actions being recorded, and this is been a long time coming. The estimated cost is more than 4 million over five years, receiving four hours of training with the body cameras. A change in the San FranciscoPolice Staffing has many people pretty upset, and the San Francisco examiner said that the Police Sergeant involved in the deadly shooting of louise last april is now working in a unit designed to prevent the officerinvolved shootings, and the paper is quoting the supervisor as saying that it sends a horrible message to the family and the community at large. There are two more wildfires burning in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and about 25 miles apart. The east bay Regional Park are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on the beach, dara toeun found on july 2 my family that had gone to the beach at the Lone Tree Point to go fishing, and she had been raped and strangled. She had moved to red dale earlier in the year and friends said that she loved to visit the lone tree park. She loved people and like to make people feel good. And that is what breaks my heart. As a community we want this solved. They say that dara toeun was also known to frequent homeless camps, and the police are asking for your help to determine where she was last seen. The police in palo altos are searching for the person that killed a woman in her home ashley, and the coroner says that the 65year old was stabbed several times last tuesday at her home on creekside drive. Investigators say that she probably knew the killer but they do not have significant leads, and she owns seven accu puncher clinics in the bay area and was an Angel Investor acupuncture clinics in the bay area and was also an Angel Investor. We are in san jose to see what happened. Reporter this is near the king road right across the street from the over bail high school and you can see the police have a one block area roped off, and homicide detectives are investigating inside. Ocala, and when the officers arrived at the scene, they found one man dead, and calling it a forest trauma that he died of. There are three other people in the house with the deceased person, and the police have canvassed the area knocking on the doors to see if the neighbors heard anything. They are questioning the three people that were in the house with the person that is dead. Right now theyre not telling us very much, but they are saying that people are being cooperative. We have learned that one person has been detained, a person of interest. No arrests at this point, but we will continue to stay at the same to see if we can find any more information out. And as to what led up to the homicide, and what was happening in the house earlier in the morning. That is a breaking story from san jose. Uc berkeleys investigating the chancellor for improper use of public money, and the Los Angeles Times reports a whistleblower complaint against Nicholas Dirks alleging he used public funds to pay for travel on the nonuniversity business, and failed to pay for the use of the campus athletic trainer. The former director of the campus recreational facility said that he approved the free training and did not think it was a violation of the university policy. The travel allegations involve a trip to india by the athletic trainer and dirks wife, a professor at the university.
