She was booked on multiple charges and released from jail two days later. The mayor also says that acting assistant chief David Downing who is the highest ranking of the department will be in charge of tactical and operational matters and she says that he will remain in that position until a new permanent chief is found. Details are emerging this morning about another scandal at the Oakland Police department. There are several accusations that command staff and officers shared racist Text Messages. Alex savidge is in the newsroom to explain why this may not be limited to the Police Department. They were allegedly sent to an inspector with the Alameda County District Attorneys Office. That inspector was subsequently placed on leave. Ktvu has now obtained some those racist message, onefeatures the n word and a picture of donald sterling,the former clippers owner. An African American officer should not be sending texts that are racially tinged. Both fires started yesterday in the san gabriel mountain and forced at least 750 people to evacuate from their homes. Only a canyon separates the two fires. Investigators believe that a deadly car crash sparked the first blaze. And things like professional modeling, private dance, private pole dance and sensual mass average miss say that he recruited several women through the guise of a modeling business. A couple of officers came to the home, interviewed several women and arrested salazar. It is said that salazar did not have an active business license he was charged by the d. A. s office last fry day he remains in custody on 250,000 bail and is due back in court for a preliminary hearing next week. Ktvu learned that the racist texts were uncovered with a homicide lieutenant who had a falling out with the a homicide sergeant who had a falling out with the lieutenant.
