As we get to the heart of this wednesday commute starting with the bay bridge toll plaza traffic is going to be getting busier as you come up to the pay gates. Its a 25minute delay. Once you get on to the span it looks okay into San Francisco. Moving along to in fact right now traffic on the bay bridge is at 25 minutes. 80 northbound has 880 northbound has improved a little bit. The traffic is going to be better now that theyve removed the stall. The san mateo bridge a little bit slow on the span. You can see slow traffic there and slowing when you get over to 101 in san mateo heading northbound. Northbound 101 also a little bit slow as you drive into San Francisco from 280. Southbound 101 slow approaching south city. And to the south bay traffic developing on 85, 280, and 101. Report of a crash on 237 near matilda and sunnyvale. I see a slow down there. Now transportation officials are preparing for more drivers to take to this stretch of freeway in the coming decades. Down the road one solution to try to reduce congestion is to expand bus service with special high capacity vehicle lanes along this stretch of freeway. According to a report from the bay area news crew there is going to be a population boom along the 80 corridor in the coming years. A new study pricks by the year 2040 the population is going to grow by 29 . That means a whole lot more people hitting the roads heading off to work every morning. Experts predict the number of vehicle miles traveled will increase 27 between now and 2040. Drivers who use interstate 80 tell me they are glad to hear that transportation officials are planning for the future. I havent seen it as bad as it is like ten years ago it wasnt this bad. So now its just worse. Reporter this study also suggests improvements to freeway onramps, a new transit bus center in richmond and also a bart extension that uses light rail that could potentially run from the Richmond Bart station out to hercules so to get people to and from the bart system. The total projected price tag for all of these improvements is about 4 billion. And again this is simply a study at this point that was commissioned by officials with the metropolitan Transportation Commission and bart as well. The study is expected to be released in its final form with its final recommendations this coming may. We could look back on today and say these were the good old days decades from now. Yeah. About 1 00 this morning firefighters rushed to where a car crashed through a fence at an oil plant. That crash broke a natural gas line cutting it in a way that you couldnt turn off the gas flow. Automated phone calls were made warning people to stay inside and turn off their furnaces. Working in conjunction with the pel Police Department under a unified command they made automated telephone calls to the surrounding houses to shelter in place. The shelter in place order has been lifted, the gas line has been fixed by pg e crews and that scene is clear now. The driver of the car that crashed was treated for minor injuries. We still dont know why he crashed in the first place. A big fire destroyed several plant nurseries on the san mateo coast during the night. It happened last nite on san mateo road just outside of halfmoon bay. When firefighters arrived the buildings were engulfed in flames and they had no access to water right away. Its a difficult fire to fight. We had some significant challenges with access to water supply out here. It took about an hour to get the fire under control. A green house there collapsed, four others were completely destroyed. No one was in the building at the time. No firefighters were hurt, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Happening today a News Conference is set to announce a lawsuit against developers of San Franciscos millenium tower. Its sunk 16 inches since it was built, its also tilting to one side. A few of the towers residents have already filed lawsuits. Time is 7 09 today therell be a special meeting of the Water District board with the city of san jose going over the concerns about the severe flooding last month. City leaders did have time to warn people about the flooding but they didnt do it. The Water District said it started notifying the city of san jose through several emails and phone calls five days before the storm about possible flooding in low lying neighborhoods. Now the Water District says besides its warnings there were extra warnings from the National Weather service this flooding was eminent the day before. A question back to the city is what is your trigger, what is it you were waiting to see before you decided to evacuate . The action for the city is 40 miles a creek. Where on that creek is there going to be flooding. We thought based on the districts information that flooding was possible later than it happened in locations that we didnt know when it would happen. San jose mayor admitted the city should have done a better job of notifying residents sooner. He said the city is working on improving its Warning System. And also plans for evacuations. 14 months after it happened we now know what contributed to a deadly bus crash in san jose in a killed two people. A bus slammed into a barrier on highway 101 elly in the morning on january 19 of last year. During rainy and dark conditions. 13 other people including the driver were hurt. A lack of markings on the highway contributed to the crash. The ntsb says the lanes of the freeway werent clearly marked and the concrete barrier didnt have a proper reflector on it. This weeks deadly fire in west oakland took lives. It a also forced dozens of people out of their homes. The concerns this morning about how to get the evacuees into new stable housing. Interstate 880 improved a little bit since we had a stalled vehicle removed. It had kind of a lasting effect but now things are a little bit better and this is a look at the san mateo bridge. That traffic is going to be okay. If youre driving on the peninsula, highway 101 is not bad getting up to San Francisco theres a little bit of slowing. Southbound 101 also slows. A car just came out of the water the tow truck is out here right now and it does not appear that anyone was inside. A fisherman who came out after his Evening Shift said around 5 40 he put his poles in the water and he saw something shiny in the bay. At closer inspection he saw it was a car. Because he lives close to the canyon and where another woman was found inside her car he got very scared and called it in right away. The police came out and located the car, called the tow truck. But once the dive team jumped in there they gave the clear to have the car towed out, it is a red buick. It does have paper plates. At this point police dont know how the car got in there but at this point no one was inside so thats a good sign. All right. Can i ask real quick no one was inside the car when it was pulled from the water. Is there a possibility someone is still in the water . Reporter at this point the dive team has retreated, i talked to police when we first got on company and they said they were suiting up to go in. They wanted to tow the car out. Im not sure what the rest of the investigation is going to entail right now. We just got out here on scene but they gave the clear to have the car towed and again no one was inside. Government lawyers say if he uses a longer lasting hold he should narrow his ruling to cover just the part of the ban that extends new visas from other countries. Its not clear how hawaii would be hurt by other parts of the program. Meantime the head of the immigration and Custom Enforcement office was invited to speak in sacramento. But he was not greeted warmly by the crowd that turned out. Most of the people inside that packed meeting said they oppose i. C. E. And the raids it conducts. Anyone with unpaid traffic tickets can appear in court to have fines reduced as much as 80 . They came up with a program to encourage the payment of old debts. It also allows people who lost their drivers licenses to get them back. It does not apply to tickets for drunk driving, reckless driving, or illegal parking. It only applies to tickets that were supposed to be paid on or before january 1, 2013. Drivers cant have made any payments on those tickets since september 2015. Were looking at lots of sunshine. But it is a hint of a system that will clip northeast california tonight and tomorrow. Most locations running slightly warmer. Napa 44, mill valley 47. So still cool for some. Mostly sunny in the morning then a few high clouds later on. This system though will clip the Sierra Nevada tomorrow for some light snow end result will be windy for us tomorrow. I see a crash at the bay bridge toll plaza. We found it here, its westbound bay bridge in one of the toll lanes right before one of the toll lanes. And of course right now we go on the air its being blocked by a big rig. But its a uhaul truck and im going to circle it here, a uhaul truck and a car got into a crash here. That uhaul hasnt moved in the last 15 to 20 minutes. Its involved in a crash with another vehicle. So that means there will be a little bit more slow traffic. People are getting around it but give yourself extra time. Chp hasnt arrived yet. Doesnt look like theres serious injuries but its definitely taking up a lane. To 880 north and southbound its a little bit slow at the coliseum. Not too bad here on the san mateo bridge. There will be slowing on highway 101, the peninsula. 101 a little slow as you head north. Heres 101 northbound from san mateo. Southbound 101 is okay. And on the south bay 237 is really slow, there was an early accident right here in sunnyvale. So 880 is slow, 237 is slow from 880 to 101. I would use the montague expressway. There are reports of gunfire near the u. S. Capitol. This is a live picture of the scene. You can see, i do see Yellow Police tape. The area is taped off. Heavy police presence, streets near the capitol are closed amid this large Law Enforcement response. According to early reports a woman hit a Police Cruiser with a car then tried to run over police officers. It is believed officers fired a number of shots, there are no reports of anyone injured. We do know the woman in the vehicle was taken into custody. At this point you can see it is still an unfolding situation of breaking news. Of course any time Something Like this happens near capitol hill it sort of heightens the situation so you can imagine that is why the large Police Response is in effect. Well stay on top of this breaking news and bring you more information as soon as we get it. Time is 7 34, meantime here at home two days ago dozens of people were forced out of their homes in west oakland by a deadly Apartment Fire. Now a big concern is helping the people who have no place to live and theyll end up on the streets. Were in oakland to see what the city is trying to do to help out. Reporter they are desperately trying to find permanent long term places for the people to stay. Where they used to live is basically uninhabitable. This is the building where the fire happened on monday on san pablo and immediate avenue. The building is boarded up. Theres police guarding the perimeter. And the building is going to have to be demolished. That means the 80100 or so people who lived here before mondays fire now need a new permanent place to stay. The red cross is helping the displaced with some temporary housing so our churches and nonprofit organizations here this oakland. By city leaders say its no secret this city has an Affordable Housing crisis to begin with. And many of the people who lived in this building were in something called transitional housing. They are considered vulnerable members of the population. The tenants who lived in this building include people who were previously homeless, single moms struggling to report their kids, people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction as well as disabled veterans. Theres little doubt the people who called this place home lived in sub par conditions here. By all accounts the building was not in great shape. Now city leaders are struggling to find out where they can go next. Its difficult to find places for people with hiv and aids. Its difficult to find places for moms who have survived Domestic Violence to get stable and close to family. This was that for a lot of people. It was in some respects housing of last resort but it was housing, they werent in tents. An oakland councilwoman put out a call to landlords in the community. Shes asking anyone with vacancies to step forward and help. They can continue to pay rent Going Forward they just need a permanent place to stay. She also said the city is working to find permanent housing but right now theres a list of about 2,000 people in oakland who are looking for Affordable Housing. The fear is now that this list will just get longer. We now know how the four victims died in a quadruple homicide last week. The charges were filed in a criminal complaint yesterday in Sacramento County court. It charges him with murdering his wife, their 14yearold daughter, an 11yearold son, as well as his wifes niece. The complaint describes the murder weapon as an unknown blunt force instrument. Each murder charge against him carries an enhancement allowing for a stiffer sentence if convicted. It passes these enhancements to give the prosecutor it is power to really bring punishment in great force against the people who deserve it. And theyve done that here. He has not yet entered a plea. Hes expected to be back in court next month. Time is now 7 37. 6,000 people most of them businesswomen gathered in San Francisco to hear a speech by Hillary Clinton. There is no place id rather be than here with you other than the white house. Hillary clinton speaking for about an hour before californias biggest organization of businesswomen. Now she praised Bay Area Companies that sent bus loads of women to the conference and have policies that support families. Several people in the audience say they admire her passion as she encouraged women to be active in politics. We need to resist bias and bullying, we need to resist hate and fear. I think she can be more powerful and effective not sitting in that oval. You would never think you would see madame secretary like that. She came out sending a message that im here, im not going away. And i think shes Even Stronger for it. She never mentioned President Trump by name but said she would not give up the fight for a fairer and inclusive america. Then she ended her speech with what she called her personal monotray, resist, insist, persist, and enlist. There are new developments to bring you this morning regarding President Trumps proposed border wall along mexico. Today was the deadline for companies to submit protoe type designs. But its now being pushed back until next tuesday to answer questions from the bidders. It envisioned a wall that reaches up to 30 feet high in some areas. There will be automated gates for pedestrians and cars. Now paying for the wall could come at the expense of some popular domestic programs. The wall is estimated to cost between 12 and 20 billion. President trump is proposing to cut 18 billion for medical research, infrastructure, and Community Development to fund the wall. During the president ial campaign youll remember he repeatedly said he would make mexico pay for the wall. 15 felony charges have been filed by the California Attorney general against two antiabortion activists because they filmed people without their consent. Sandra merit of san jose took cameras inside of planned parenthood clinics. Officials say between 2013 and 2015 they pretended to be researchers in order to get information on the sale of fetal tissue then posted their edited videos online. Planned parenthood has said it donates fetal tissue for medical research and is only reimbursed for expenses. They faced similar charges last year in texas but those charges were later dropped. Theres a program in richmond that teaches the Construction Trade to people who are looking to make a change in their life or better their employment. Richmond build as its called is marking its tenth anniversary this friday. Earlier this week i went to richmond to see what the current class is working on and i talked with recent grants about how the program has already changed their lives. I talked with a single mother wanting to do better for her two little girls. And they had been selling drugs for years before he described what he described as a 180 turn around. Truly an inspiring program. Sounds great. Doing great things in richmond. You do know the warriors are also leaving oakland, theyre moving to San Francisco in 2019. But draymond thinks relocating to las vegas is different. Just one day after the nfl announced the raiders can move to las vegas the Team Announced its taking deposits for the rights to tickets to its new stadium. The team is offering a chance to secure seats two years from now. The 100 deposit is refundable but loyal oakland fans say its like rubbing salt in a fresh wound. It sort of reminds me of if my wife told me she was leaving me today and then getting an invitation to her wedding the next day with the guy shed been having an affair with. Thats what i kind of equate it with. According to the raiders website current season Ticket Holders have until may 1st to make that 100 deposit. But their account must remain in good standing. It didnt take long for some las vegas businesses to cash in on the coming move to las vegas. A Business Owner said hed build his 7th brothel to welcome the raiders. It will have a raiders theme, it will be called pirates booty. He plans to open it around the same time as the proposed vegas stadium for the raiders in 2020. So be aware of that the traffic is going to be slow. Were also talking about the bay bridge toll plaza here, westbound at the toll plaza i dont see that uhaul truck involved in the crash anymore. Looks like its gone good thing. They may have moved it to the shoulder, the traffic is not too bad here at the toll plaza as you come through there. No major issues on the bridge. This is a welcome at 880 northbound, and southbound. But northbound is crowded from the coliseum heading up to oakland and san mateo bring traffic is going to be busy. Highway 237 traffic in the south bay is going to be, im going to put that up here, 237 westbound still very slow because of an earlier motorcycle crash. New information on the harassment claims made by a worker in fremont. This is a video laced with profanity that the attorneys say proves he was harassed and threatened by coworkers. He claims tesla failed to take action after he reported the harassment. This is an issue that needs to be brought forward. Tesla had plenty of time to resolve and address these issues. Tesla says an investigation was conducted by its Human Resources department interviewing all of the employees in question. That investigation turned up conflicting accounts about what happened with other employees saying that he had the dirtiest mouth they had ever heard including using the same racially insensitive language he had complained about. Tesla admits the hr representative who handled the initial complaint left the company before finishing the investigation and nothing else was done. Since then tesla says it has terminated several employees based on what theyve learned and they also suspended him with pay while they continue to investigate. If youre a pg e customer you may see your natural gas bills go down. They agreed to an 8 6000000 settlement over corruption charges. Its a result of their conviction on corruption charges linked to the deadly explosion in san bruno. If the deal is approved the average customer will pay about 5 less for all of 2018 and 2019. A major clean up is ahead in texas and oklahoma after several tornados hit. Cameras captured a tornado hitting about 170 miles west of dallas. You can see it causing a lot of destruction. There are also reports of hail bigger than tennis balls out there. The cameras were also rolling when another tornado touched down in abilene. Hundreds of thousands of people lost power because of it. The winds were up to 75 miles an hour in some areas. At least 15 tornados have been reported but theyre expected to taper off this morning. Three Storm Chasers were killed in this crash in west, texas. One car ran a stop sign, slammed into another car. Two employees of the Weather Channel were killed as well as a storm chaser from arizona. Tornados have been reported nearby at the time of that crash. There was also a lot of rain in that area as well. A boeing737 coming in for a landing in peru yesterday skidded off a runway then burst into flames. All the 141 passengers escaped safely. Now the airline is praising the pilot for acting quick. Investigators are checking into what caused the incident in the first place. But witnesses say a strong gust of wind appeared to push the plane right off the runway. Time to check in with mike. Thank you. The big news out towards the texas panhandle and the middle of the country with big weather. Tonight theres a system, the leading edge of that showing itself. But it wont make any impact until tomorrow. But already clouds moving in to parts of lake county. 50s and 40s were warming up quick though. Wood side 45. San carlos 53. Clouds slowly work their way in and by tonight well work our way up. The sierra tomorrow, what well see see is windy and cooler conditions. Im looking here to see if i have anything new that popped up so i dont say everything is great. Things are going to be busy. We have a crash here on southbound 101 at the marin city exit. A couple of cars got into it, a bus is involved and a couple of lanes taken away. Southbound 101 in marin county the traffic is backing up. So give yourself plenty of time if crore driving to the Golden Gate Bridge. The traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge looks okay. The bay bridge, we had an earlier crash there that didnt involve injuries. Traffic is finally recovering a bit. This is 880 northbound backed up as you head into the downtown oakland area. 580 is also slow from about the area of the oakland zoo all the way up to the lake shore area. And the traffic on 280 in san jose does look good. 280 though is slow just around the corner on 280 up to sunnyvale and cupertino. Lets go back to the desk. Breaking story out of san leandro where the car was found in the water. We showed you the car being pulled from the water. Now an update on what was found inside. Reporter the car is out. Luckily no one was inside. Police will be checking out the car a little more thoroughly. But at this point the dive team has been called off. They dont believe anyone was in the water at this time. It is a red buick. The car had the dive team on stand by. But again at this point they do not think anyone could still be in the water. A fisherman saw the car around 4 30 when he cast his line in. He thought it was a golf cart at first. When he got close he saw the trunk of that red buick sticking out of the water near the boat ramp. I came out this morning and looked over to the right because i seen something shining in the water. So when i got here and seen that i just figured i better be responsible and call. Reporter the dive teams went in. They didnt find anyone inside. This red buick was just towed out as you just saw. It does have paper plates on it. Now back out here the truck is coming back at us. Back out here live we did see police pull out a key from the ignition of the car. And you can see the window is busted out from the back. They pulled out the key that was in the ignition. The key had a tag on it. And San Leandro Police say theres a possibility the car was either being serviced a the a dealership or recently dropped off to be resold to the dealership. Again it has paper plates. Thats part of the investigation as to whether or not this was dumped here as part of a crime or not. Bay area transportation Officials Say theyre bracing for a big population boom. They have commissioned a new study to figure out the best ways to reduce congestion along the interstate 80 corridor. Reporter yeah. Im not driving, chip is behind the wheel here this morning. So were doing it safe. Anyone who drives along interstate 80 in the east bay knows this is already a very tough ride. Now transportation officials are essentially bracing for even more drivers along this stretch of freeway in the coming decades. Obviously things quite slow. According to a new report from the bay area newsgroup there is about to be a population boom along the 80 corridor. A new traffic Study Suggests that one solution to reduce congestion would be to expand express bus service with special high capacity vehicle lanes along the freeway. Now this new study predicts that by the year 2040 the population will grow by 29 . So that obviously means a whole lot more people hitting the roads, heading off to work every morning. Experts predict the number of vehicle miles traveled is going to increase by 27 between now and 2040. Drivers who use interstate 80 on a regular basis are not thrilled to hear about some of these predictions. Its already ridiculous. I mean its been like this for the last five years or so. So you know. Youre always on the road im guessing . Yes. Its just been getting worse and worse earlier and earlier. Then in the afternoon if youre not out by 2 00 youre going to sit in traffic for hours. And youre going all the way back to sacramento. All the way back to sacramento. And theres lots of us coming from sacramento. Improvements would be upgrading freeway onramps along interstate 80. A new Bus Transit Center in richmond. Theyre also looking into a bart extension using light rail that would run between the Richmond Bart station and hercules to help get people to and from the bart system. The total price tag for all of these improvements is looking to be upwards of 4 billion. Again this is simply a study at this point commissioned by the metropolitan Transportation Commission. Bart and officials here this is expected to be released with its final recommendations coming up in may. Thank you, appreciate that. A Greyhound Bus slammed into a barrier early in the morning of january 19th last year. 13 including the driver were hurt. A lack of markings on the highway contributed to the crash. The ntsb says the lanes of the freeway were not clearly marked and that the concrete barrier didnt have a proper reflector on today there was a special meeting of the san jose Water District board about the severe flooding we saw last month. The Water District says city leaders had time to warn people about the flooding but did not do it. The Water District says it began notifying the city of san jose through several emails and phone calls five days before the storm of potential flooding in low lying neighborhoods. The Water District ice besides its warnings, there were additional warnings from the National Weather service that flooding was eminent the day before. A question back to the city is what is your trigger, what is it you were waiting to see before you decided to evacuate. The action for the city is 40 miles a creek. Where on that creek is there going to be flooding. We thought based on the districts information that flooding was possible later than it happened in locations that we didnt know when it would happen. The san jose mayor admitted that the city should have done a better job of notifying residents sooner and he said the city is working on improving its Warning System and evacuation procedures. A car crash caused a natural gas leak scare in alameda. Firefighters got the call about 1 00 this morning along the alameda marina. The driver hit a natural gas line. Because of the location of the damage crews couldnt just turn off the flow of gas so nearby residents received automated phone calls ordering them to stay inside. Pg e repaired the line and the driver of the car that crashed has been treated for minor injuries. In ten minutes what were learning about the woman who tried to run over officers. I think thats why this is going to be successful. They have been relatively transparent about their problems. I think theyve been humble about what needed to be fixed and that lets Consumers Trust again. Their profits surged 50 in the last three months of 2016 despite all of the negative press out there. The brand seems that its in good shape whether or not this new phone takes off or doesnt take off. Do you agree or not . Well yeah. But the phone is such a major part of their connection with consumers. And so i think if there are any problems with this phone its going to dramatically damage the reputation of this company. You can make a mistake once, recover from it and proceed. But this is the closest connection that consumers have to that brand. If this phone doesnt do well, if theres any sort of problem, disaster. So clearly samsung is hoping to lure all the iphone users over to its side. Is this easier perhaps for an existing samsung customer to go to samsung is it a harder sell for someone perhaps already on the outside to come in. Yes for sure. Absolutely. So samsung has got really two major things going for them right now. One is that they have this soaring reputation in in invasion and technology before the 7 disaster. So they had a deep well to draw from. And then 2, consumers are totally ena moureed with invasion and technology. The intoxication we have with invasion and technology really gives any new phone, any new technology an edge. Ive got an iphone and i have for a while now. Kind of disappointed in the 7. Do you think theres any new bells and whistles out there when it comes to smartphones. Do you think theres consumer fatigue out there right now . There doesnt appear to be a lot of fatigue over invasion. Its just what consumers seem to want. They like the familiarity of using the same brand over and over again. People familiar with the technology of apple would like to stay with that. But if it appears to be new, different, exciting consumers gravitate towards that. Especially younger consumers. They want to have the feeling of being wowed and impressed of something amazing their phone can do. It looks like they are trying to get these vehicles clear. But they havent done that yet and the traffic is going to be busy. If youre south of the marin city area this is good for you because southbound 101 traffic is lighter coming on the Golden Gate Bridge. Bay bridge toll plaza seems to be recovering a little bit. About a 10 to 15minute delay before you make it on the bridge. 880 is very slow at 238 northbound and also heading south into fremont. At 8 31 lets go back to the desk. A fourth body was found in a building that burned in west oakland. Dozen of people forced are their homes. Now there are worryings they could end up on the street. Reporter the building where this fire happened needs to be torn down. You can see the roof collapsed own bottom 2 to 3 floors on the bottom 2 to 3 floors. And by all accounts the Living Conditions inside were sub par anyway. At least the People Living here had a roof over their heads. That is no longer the case, this building is going to be demolished. That means the 80100 or so people who lived here before mondays fire including several children and teens now need a new permanent home. The red cross is helping the displaced with temporary housing. So are some oakland churches and nonprofit organizations. But oakland city leaders say its no secret the city already has an Affordable Housing crisis and adding to the challenge is the fact that this building provided transiingsal housing for disabled veteran, single mothers, people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Oakland city leaders are asking the community for help. This is extremely difficult for the city. And you know, for our community. Im really grateful if our First Responders to the nonprofit and it is churches that have stepped up in the interim. But those are Short Term Solutions and you know if if youre a landlord sitting on some properties or vacancies and you can accept these folks that pay rent. If youve got a small building, i dont know all of it. The city administrator will be circling up with us again this afternoon. You know its hour by hour. Reporter councilwoman says the victims of this fire who said the victims lost everything need things like clothing and school supplies. Right now theres a list of about 2,000 people in the city of oakland who need Housing Assistance and help findening Affordable Housing. Now that this fire has happened and displaced so many that list is getting longer. The big fire destroyed a number of san mateo nurseries. It happened about 11 00 last night just outside halfmoon bay. When firefighters arrived the buildings were engulfed in flames flames and crews had trouble accessing water. Five greenhouses in all were destroyed. No one was in the building at the time. No firefighters were hurt either. Investigators are looking into the cause. A man who was shot and killed saturday morning in san jose has now been identified. Police are investigating the death of 19yearold joseph veremones as a homicide. He suffered one gunshot wound and was announced dead at the scene. He once played youth football with the team called the san jose 49ers. His former coach nick named his smiley because he was smiling all the time. We now know the four victims that died in a quadruple homicide last week. A 54yearold is facing four counts of murder. The charges were filed in a criminal complaint yesterday in sacramento court. It charges him with murdering his wife, their 14yearold daughter, an 11yearold son, and his wifes niece. The complaint describes the murder weapon as an unknown blunt force instrument. Each murder charge against him carries an enhancement allowing for a longer sentence if convicted. He has not yet entered a plea and is expected in court next month. New developments regarding President Trumps border wall. Today was the deadline for companies to submit prototype designs. But the deadline has been pushed back until next tuesday to answer questions from the potential bidders. The administration envisions a wall that reaches up to 30foot high in some areas. There will be automated gates for pedestrians and cars. They will select about 20 companies to build the wall. Paying for the wall could come at the expense of some popular domestic programs. President trump is proposing to cut 18 billion from infrastructure and Community Development to fund the wall. He repeatedly said he would make mexico pay for it. 15 felony charges were filed by the California Attorney general against two antiabortion activists because they ah filmed people without their consent. They took hidden cameras inside planned parenthood clinics. Between 2013 and 2015 they pretended to be researchers in order to get information on the sale of fetal tissue and posted edited videos online. They said theyre only reimbursed for expenses. They faced similar charges last year in texas, those charges were later dropped. In response to allegations of Sexual Harassment and discrimination uber has released a report on employee diversity. It shows a profile similar to many companies. 60 of uber drivers are men. About half the work force is white. 75 of uber leadership is white with 25 asian.
