The process is going pretty smoothly so far. We just wrapped up the second face of the voir dire which is the individual juror questioning, there were 21 perspective jurors brought up this afternoon to a table, judge sat in the middle, commonwealth attorneys satan one side, defense counsel on the other side with bill cosby sitting there with them, and of those 21 jurors brought up, five were selected to sit on this jury. Three of them are male, two of them are female. They are all white, one is young, one is older, two middleaged, one is young to middleaged. There were three black females who were brought up and questioned, two of them were excused for a reason, one was struck by the commonwealth, each side gets seven challenge s or strikes to use in picking this 12 member jury commonwealth has used two so far, defense have used four, and to me, ukee and jessica most interesting thing about this case so far has been the judge, Stephen Oneill has been doing all of the questioning. The attorneys have not been able to ask any questions, of the perspective jurors. They are sitting there but they are not able to speak with them. And what is interesting about this is typically jury selection is a time to establish a rapport with the members of the jury, and in this case that will be very challenging to do because they are unable to speak with them. I do have some numbers for you , i want to show you, this morning, 100 people were in the pool here, 86 of them, 86 of them said they had seen or red about the case, in advance , before reporting for jury duty, 34 of them already had formed opinions, based on, what they had, and opinions were regarding either his guilt or innocence this case. Fourteen have them said they had preson served notion that is they felt just could not allow them to be fair or impartial. Sixtyseven of them said they would have a hardship with the sequestration and the duration of this trial. So what they did this afternoon is they went through and started individual voir dire by calling those people who had not formed opinions about bill cosbys guilt or innocence. This morning, as he was arriving here at the Allegheny County courthouse we caught up with one of his attorneys and asked him how he is holding up he is holding up fine. He is looking forward. It appears the family was feeding the animal along a dock in British Columbia when that sea lion pulled the girl in the water. A man quickly jumped in and rescued her. She was not injured. Reporter Malcolm Frisby is one of the two air men left on earth, known as a tuskegee air man who was first africanamerican servicemen to serve as military aviator in the United States armed forces during world war two.
