Eyewitness News Reporter david spunt has that story. Reporter flies up is thing as time travel but if you sit down with Montgomery County native christian carolo you will get darn close. You can really kind of imagine what my grandparents were experience nothing that time. Reporter photography runs deep in his family, his grandparents traveled across america and left proof from trips in the 70s, 80s and 90s. A few years ago he decided to travel to the exact same spot, and i do mean exact. Go to those exact same placees where they were and kind of think about maybe what they experienced whether he this were there. It is crazy. Reporter he has taken hundreds of photographers that match perfectly. How did he do it . With help from his grandmothers handwriting, initial journaled. My grandmother was so details, mess of them i would not be able to find. Reporter it wasnt only buildings he found in the same spot. He took this photo from Fisherman Wharf in San Francisco 40 years later. If you recognize this picture, it is same employee from 1979. I showed photo to a worker there and he looked at it and he kind of told me he said im pretty sure i know the the guy in this photo. He just finished working and sitting at the bar eating dinner. Reporter after his grandfather died in 2008 he started the past present project, mission is simple, spread his roof for history and maybe one day someone will take pictures and match them up to what life was like in old 2015.
