Turning now to weather, matt, it is gray and gloomy, can we expect the sin to make an appearance. Dont hold your breath, unfortunately. It doesnt look like it is making an appearance today. It is a dreary, gray, start to saturday. One of those saturdays where it makes you just want to hang out, inside, i know we like to get outside and enjoy our saturdays as much as we can. Our weather watchers, usually are the won able to get out there and get us great pictures, telling us what is going on in their backyard and this morning we dont a ton of weather watchers and i dont blame them. It is dreary out there this morning. We are seeing 67 degrees, and lous house today up in eagleville, again, cloud cover for him, and as we get up, just not that far down the road 68 degrees this morning in jerrys house, in blue bell , and that cloud cover out there 68 degrees and his comment is thin cloud cover out there, this is usually the kind that is with the sunshine and while i tend to agree we will not see, a ton of sunshine today, and finally, lets get to allen in delran, it is also 68 degrees there. What does he say, overcast, humid, bad beach day, for sure so if you are at the beach definitely maybe a day to take it inside, play a couple board games, with the family that kind of thing but overall we are watching for humidity and warmer temperatures to say the least to go with the overcast, dreary conditions, maybe a stray shower, isolated thunderstorm in the mix as well. We are seeing that this morning and it will be lasting throughout the day. At least those shower chances, spotty showers on our saturday here. Temperature for the most part have helped steady, in the mid to high 60s to lower 70s across the area we have been staying in the zero sevens in delaware all morning long, wilmington, dover at 70. 72 degrees. Sixtyeight in philadelphia. Sixtyeight toward millville area the cool air in mount pocono 62 and looking shy of 70 degrees right now along the shore, in ac and in wildwood. Those dew points are high, it is a muggy morning for us, it will remain, on the humid and muggy side as we go throughout the daytoday and expect a little bit of fog out there to , while burning off slightly it will be cause something problems for us throughout the afternoon and not a ton of sunshine and it means that fog will not completely burn off. Storm scan three showers and thunderstorms now moving into southwestern part of the new jersey. We will keep an eye on. That there is low pressure off to the west and this frontal system will track east, giving us a chance for some strong, maybe potentially Severe Weather as we head into early next week. Future wet they are morning and in the early afternoon hours, again, scattered showers and thunderstorms, throughout the entirety of our day, and cloud cover out there through the entire saturday as well, and chances for rain will dip as we go through nighttime hours tonight. So that is good news for us. We will then see a few more showers earlier in the day on sunday up in the poconos and maybe even a little bit of sunshine break go through the cloud through south jersey on our sunday morning, that is good news as well. We will hopefully see a little bit of sunshine mixing with the cloud cover sunday afternoon here in the philadelphia area and a few spotty showers, maybe isolated rumble of thunder possible for sunday on fathers day as well but those chances much lower then what we have on our saturday. We are looking for our front to come in monday and monday night and that will be the one that we will keep an eye on, that cold front could bring some strong, to may be possiblely Severe Weather. Eightysix for our High Temperature today. We are dealing with patchy fog developing again tonight with overnight low of 73. Our humidity will be on the high side heading in to sunday morning. Ninety for fathers day, hopefully sunshine breaks with spotty showers. A high of 90 on monday because in front of the cold front we will get compression heating so we will be backup in the high 80s to 90s with thunderstorms and then we will cool it back down in the 80s, jan for tuesday, wednesday and into the end of next week. Pretty unsettled, thanks, we will get back to you later. Still ahead on Eyewitness News this morning sizing up the competition, cars three races in the box office, meet voices behind the sequel when Eyewitness News lightening mcqueen is back in cars three he is taking on a new generation of young, faster racers, we now hit the track for a preview. Part of the new class of racers they call next generation racers, new guys on the track, they are faster, quicker, they are more technologically advanced and they have no sort of like heart, soul or love of the game. It is all about motivation mr. Mcqueen, you can use neglect negative to push through to the positive. Helping mcqueen on the road to the recovery following an accident is cruz ramirez a car with racing dreams of her own cruz story mirrors the actor. Come from a little town of south texas, i wanted to do this all my life. A lot of people didnt understand it or make fun of me because ways in the little town and how could you ever end up on tv or do a movie. One reason storm and next generation is more efficient their ability to hold the racing line every single lap. Reporter carrie washington observes positive message under the hood of cars three. I think film business learning to experience teamwork with other people, learning to included people on your team that dont necessarily look like you or sound like you or have your Life Experience and if you join forces you can be champions. I decide when im done. Reporter in hollywood im rick damjella. Good message there. Meteorologist Matt Peterson is on the cbs3 sky deck this morning with eyewitness weather, good saturday morning , matt, not the best type of way to start off the weekend if i do say so myself. I agree, if we have the weekend or were working we want to have the sunshine, nice comfortable conditions and were waking up to almost the complete opposite of that on this saturday. It is dreary, foggy, cloudy. It is not a lot of precipitation but we will be watching for spotty showers later this afternoon. We want to go down in the south jersey where we are seeing heaviest rainfall into Cape May County north of cape may and just to the west of sea isle at this point. That is where we have more moderate rainfall and also north of there, just parts of the salem county getting some showers, no real thunderstorms , with this but again that moderate to at times maybe even areas of heavy rainfall to kick off the day in south jersey. Be careful out there, if you have heavy rain. We have some fog, that is settled overtop of the region have the visability better but better for patchy dense areas, driving around this morning, low beams instead of high beams going slow or making sure we are safe on the area road. Temperatures have been sitting in the 60s to 07 degrees, there is no difference right now. We are at zero seven in wilmington. Sixtynine in philadelphia. Getting a look at your forecast for rest of the day, a pop up shower, thunderstorm here, 86. We will go 81 down at the shore. Not the best beach day. Seventyfive with showers and thunderstorm as well. Seventyfive there. Chance for stronger showers and thunderstorms as we end weekend moving in the early parts of the workweek we will break them down. That sky line behind you is just so glummy. It is 6 32. Time to check road. Lets go over to kyle hahn in the cbs3 Traffic Center. Hi there, thank you. We had a small crash this morning on the new jersey turnpike northbound side approaching i195 but that has cleared and all lanes opened to traffic. Looking at travel times everything is looking good so far on the major interstates. Decent drive on i95, vine, blue route and turnpike as wells bridges in and out of the city. We are looking live at i95, it is very easy going there, easy flow of traffic with no reports of any crashes or delays, in the area. In the cbs3 Traffic Center im kyle hahn, jan, back to you. It is warm but we are already starting to see, a little bit of light drizzle, falling in northern delaware as well. Check out southern delaware down at the beach in rehoboth, it is a foggy, it is a dreary, it is just a overall, kind of miserable start to saturday, at the beach points, not just in delaware but as we head up the coast in south jersey as well, fog out there even though it is warm, muggy and not really nice morning beach weather. There have been a couple folks , moving down the boardwalk but overall, dont expect a whole lot of people and we will get up to, 86 degrees. We are on 83. Were comparable to where we should be for middle of june, as we get to july and august we will see that 86 today, close tore our average high we will get in the middle of july , average for july 17th is 87. By the time we get into august we are back down in the mid 80 s. Were where we need to be but, and, back today, sunday and then into monday, as well. Temperatures, out there, we will be sitting in the mid to high 60s. And 69, and wildwood, zero sevens, and dover and that is the warm spot down into delaware, throughout the morning and that has not changed, at all, throughout our show here this morning. Satellite and radar picture is an area of low pressure down into the mid planes out toward kansas city, warm front up to the north, and showers and thunderstorms attached to that low pressure and then eventually track east, and it will head north as it does, bringing a warm front through first and then we will be watching for warmer temperatures sunday and monday and while the front comes through on monday and tries to cool us down another impulse, shortwave out there, out toward rockies, that will come through as we head into wednesday, tuesday, quiet but another round of showers and thunderstorms on the way, right on the heels of that first one. Our potent cold front is on the way, low travels north, brings with it a chance for some showers and thunderstorms on monday. The front will clear the state and clear the region as we head through monday night and into tuesday but what does this mean for us it means high heat and hugh humidity over the weekend. Again, warm front president ial through first, we will get a southerly flow as we go through sunday and monday and then as we get toward our monday and noon time frame that front will get closer, we will get compressional heat ago this air gets pushed together, and it heat up and so we will probably see 90 or so by the time we get in the early portions of the workweek on monday that front will sweep through on monday afternoon, showers and thunderstorms, some of them could be strong to severe. Here is our Severe Threat from our storm prediction center, they are saying an enhanced risk for other day three outlook across the delaware valley, as we head closer to the shore points though we will get a little bit of a tapering off of that Severe Weather threat, because of the ocean does temper things, and that is good news for folks along the shore but we are still keeping an eye on our monday with that front, coming through, strong wind, potential, and heavy rain, fall, 86 degrees, dipping it down to 73, through the overnight hours, tonight and check it out 90 degrees on sunday and monday, and then a little bit cooler on the back side of the front but there is our impulse coming through after the cold front as well, wednesday another chance for a shower. Heating it backup, thanks, matt. Eyewitness news will be right back with a story of armed in motion, with help from the welcome back art in motion it is ideal behind a unique attraction at morris or game tum at philadelphias Chestnut Hill neighborhood. Reporter susan crane marketing director for Morris Arboretum was blown away by these pieces of art on the west coast. And my husband and i saw them in santa fe, new mexico and decided that they would be the perfect, exhibit, for the Morris Arboretum. It took only three days, to set up, five groupings of these cooper, stainless steel wind charms budd there was a message to the motion and flow we worked with lime whittaker the artist to think about sight lines and where the wind would be, the most favorable for placement, and the groupings of them. He calls them wind farms. Placing them in groupings really gives us a wonderful, sense of calm, and it is very mess more ice to go look at so many at won. These kind of sculptures adults can appreciate them from the standpoint of their artistic appeal, their aesthetic appeal and kid can just think that they are fun. 123. Reporter Vittoria Woodill for cbs3 Eyewitness News. That is really cool. Turf get out there and see it once weather clears a bit. I know it is not a wash out but you never know. It looks so nice, and sunshine, it is wonderful, unfortunately not the case today, it is dreary, foggy this morning, showers, pop up thunderstorm this afternoon at 86 and then it is better on fathers day a high of 90.
