assault. again, motivated by race, we are talking about racist attacks, racist violence. you know, it's not lost on me that this latest heinous act of violence to place in jacksonville, just as activists and civil rights leaders took the podium in washington d.c., on the 16th anniversary of the march on washington. and yesterday, many speakers were calling for more action, on gun safety. >> we must and gun violence! i [applause] and then, maybe one day, we will be a great nation. we are not personifying a greatness right now. >> gun violence has come for our places of worship. our schools, and our shopping centers. and that's not the only problem, that earlier generations didn't expect, but my generation cannot escape.
