Officer, turned and offered an apology to the victims in court as well as he was sentenced to nine years in prison, a sentence that was agreed upon during a plea deal last september. Cronin stood stonefaced throughout much of the proceedings. His parents and wife in court as well as family members of the victim. He pled guilty to attempted murder, assault, and drunk driving after a shooting incident in pelham in 2014. Robert borelli and felice were driving home after playing hockey. While stopped at a red light, cronin, who was off duty, opened fire. Felice was shot six times. Borelli wasnt hit and was able to drive straight to a hospital. Cronin admitted to consuming 10 drinkss after a day of nypd service training. He apologized in court but that meant little to the victims. It would mean something if i actually believed it was true. Subway rider is recovering in the hospital after he was slashed across the face on a subway train in the bronx. Strain in monthaven just after midnight. Police say three men and a woman walked up to a 29yearold man and got in to an altercation with him. Police say they tried to rob the man but the subway rider fought back and was slashed. A man under arrest for the attempted assault of an 11yearold. Surveillance video helped lead to the arrest. Police have not named the suspect yet. However, he is accused of grabbing the girl and exposing himself to her yesterday morning. The children fought him off and screamed and ran for help. They were not injured. They went back up halsey to where their protest started two blocks away at wyckoff. Ended their rally right here. The protesters are upset with the mayors Affordable Housing plan and specifically the rezoning thats scheduled to take place in this area and they want the Council Member to vote against that plan.
