A couple of hours ago, Philadelphia Police investigators returned to the scene in the 3500 block of jany street in port richmond. They completed processing the scene, but didnt say what if anything they found inside. Just before 3 00 an argument started between the woman and her livein boyfriend. That man heard someone coming down the stairs and without checking first, he fired one time hitting the 12yearold in his left thigh. The boyfriend has not yet been arrested, but he could be charged later depending on what new evidence the investigators find in their most recent search. Also new from overnight, a fire destroyed several apartments at a complex in atlantic county. The twoalarm blaze began around 3 00 this morning on mays landing road in summers point. A neighbor tells us that one person was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. Cyclone nathan brought along high winds and heavy rain. Some communities lost power. Forecasters say that this storm is now heading out into open water. It has been one year since a mud slide in Washington State left dozens of people dead and wiped out of a neighborhood. Scientists are learning more about what happened that day. The leading edge of the oso landslide was moving at 70 miles an hour. Researchers say record rains soaked the hillsides and the loosely packed dirt sand and clay likely played a key role in why it came apart the way it did. 43 people were killed in that mud slide. Oskoe Community Members came together yesterday for a benefit concert. Several groups performed some very personal music, including one man who wrote a song two days after the mud slide hit. Proceeds from the concert will go to the families affected and the local fire departments. This weekend hazmat crews have been on the scene of a Train Derailment in texas. A dozen train cars went off the tracks yesterday afternoon. Several of the cars were carrying methanol a chemical used in antifreeze and in fuel.
