We have a lot of rain falling across eastern kansas, northeastern nebraska. The reds, the yellows, the oranges indicate where we have heavy downpours now and this green area that extends over into st. Louis is where we have flash flood watches through monday. Thats because the rain is going to sit in this one area for the next several days. Its a stationary front. These areas of low pressure will ride along the front, and thats what triggers more and more heavy rain. It will eventually reach washington, d. C. , by the time we get to monday, so the fireworks in jeopardy for the d. C. Area. As we go through the day, they have y rounds of rain could lead to flash flooding. When you get the heavy pockets of rain that produce 5, 6 inches of rain in a short period of time, and then as we go into monday, it does stretch over into charleston, west virginia. Then eventually by monday evening it will make its way to washington, d. C. So through monday were looking at areas like kansas city perhaps picking up 3 to 4 inches of rain. St. Louis as well. This is a generalized area of rain, though, and we will see localized higher amounts, closer to 58 inches. Thats why we have the flash flood threat. But back to the process and into the freezer. And with the windchill its about 100 below zero. The product will sit in here 24 hours before we move it into storage. All right. Thats all i needed to know. I gathered that. I went to the creamery store to give scooping the old college try. You have rules here, right . You cant mix flavors . You cant mix flavors. The only person weve ever done it for is bill clinton. Now its my turn. Chocolate chip on a cone . This one is a little sloppy. How is that . The cherry on top, my hard work was rewarded in the sweetest way possible. Ive been waiting all day to eat ice cream. We hear that a lot. How do you think i did . You did well. You passed the course. We have chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips and vanilla bean, i have to try this. Strawberry ice cream, black raspberry sauce and dark chocolate flakes. We have cookies and cream. Yum. Thats my favorite. And bittersweet mint. Its mint ice cream and dark chocolate chips. Thats the one you want, right . Yes. The technique is to start with a small ball on the bottom and roll it. And stuff it in. Roll it. Then it gets in the bottom and then you go this is where youre a generous scooper. I worked at a soft ice cream shop. And then you put the thing on top. It looks pretty good. Thats not bad. What else would you like . Im going with quini bean. At penn state they dont let you mix it up. You can only choose one flavor. I was surprised they have a class. There are people that are from haagendazs, from major Ice Cream Companies who want to know the secret to get the creamiest ice cream to get just the right ice cream or it could be foodies at home.
