Police, fire, Homeland Security are doing an active Shooter Drill in Lower Manhattan. Cbs 2 joins us live from there with more. Reporter an andrea, the drill started moments ago. Look at the scene. This area is packed with police, paramedics, Emergency Response streets. Emergency responders are going to be out here the next few the new York City Police and Homeland Security making their presence known in Lower Manhattan doing an active station. These Emergency Responders arent taking chances preparing for a possible attack in the city, something planned before paris attacks. We do not have a credible, specific threat directed against new york as we know, isis has been continually threatening the city and country. Theres been heightened security since the terror attacks in trance. To insure commuters are safe, the commissioner bratton took a ride sending a message 209 public about the security message to the public about the security if an event were to occur, we would be prepared to respond to it.
