The family of those two children listened to every witness, and many of them took the stand as witnesses. Today lakesha morgan, mother of two year old Taenajah Morgan took the stand as the defenses first witnesslakesha morgan says she wasnt there the night of the fire, but spoke to her mother and her daughter taenajah right before the kids went to bed. Morgans sister, sherrelle also testified. According to the state, Michael Morgan was seen by witnesses leaving the crime scene with a black hoodie and tan skull cap. Michael morgans mother took the stand this afternoon. And said he didnt own either. She also said hes a great father a great father. A great father because he love his kids and he spend time with his kids and not only mentally he is a great father father before the state rested, the jury heard from a witnessed who mapped micahel morgans cell phone usage the night of the fire. The records show that Michael Morgans phone was off or in a dead zone during the crime. Around 3 15 a. M. His cell got service again, but was located near his home. The state also called a witness to the stand. This witness says Michael Morgan confessed to setting the fire hear from him on the cbs 58 news at 5. The man accused of sexually assaulting an 82yearold woman will spend twenty years behind bars. Bars. Stephen ray robinson will also got ten additional years of extended supervision and hell have to register as a sex offender for life.
