>> yeah, we've got new models coming in and narrow down the timing of the rain this if you're stepping out the door right now, we do have a few scattered showers out there. temperatures in the 30s and 40s. near freezing marks in some locations, wouldn't be surprised places. all due to low pressure push to go the east, pushing a cold front to the region. look down across the southeast, the reason i'm showing the rain down here, this is all going to lift north ward and give us another round of heavy rain as we head into the afternoon hours. so through the region, expecting temperatures to climb into the low 50s. i'll show out the hour by hour forecast and when to expect the rain to arrive and when it will end. over to you. heather hegedus: breaking this morning, a stand off is over in norton. the man accused of starting it by firing at police is dead now. blair miller: live in norton this morning, stephanie coueignoux, police are piecing it all together. >> reporter: blair in is still an active investigation. police right now still trying to figure out how that man decided whether he may have killed himself or whether police may have shot and killed him. take a look behind me you can see this area blocked off with crime scene and right behind there, that is the home where the lights are on, that is the happened. take a look at this video, you can see how many officers responded to this scene. started around 10:30 last night when neighbors called police after they heard yelling coming from inside that home. officers arrived and when they knocked on the door, a man inside they say started shooting at them. police fired back and immediately called for back up. mass. state police swat team members and a few other agencies came out as well. police eventually found the man dead inside the home. but again this morning they're still trying to figure out exactly how he died. police told me the man had been that night. she was able to get out of the house before police arrived. okay. police also still investigating the relationship between the man and woman. we know the man lived here at the home. they aren't sure, though, whether the woman does. and again this investigation could still take a few more hours. you can see this scene behind me. meantime, coming up in 30 minutes, the tool police used to safely get inside that home. in norton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. blair miller: this morning, we're also trying to get more information from police about a shooting in roslindale, they're not releasing many details on this. we know it happened at the oakland cemetery around 9 o'clock. a man taken to the hospital with serious injuries. not word on an arrest or how that man is doing this morning. a manna the hospital this morning after being shot in the head and shoulder in brockton. the enterprises reported it happened in a parking lot at the corner of main and crescent street. in a man it was flown to a boston hospital and state police looked for a possible suspect, we do have calls in to police for more information on this. heather hegedus: now into the investigation of the hamilton toddler who was kidnapped. 2-year-old remains in the hospital but her condition is improving as her former baby-sitter gets ready to face a judge tomorrow. 2-year-old lyndon albers went missing yesterday, she was found miles from her home, hours later. police say the baby-sitter broke into her home and abducted. after fox 25 learned police found her in the e.r. of north shore medical center. it's not clear why she was in the hospital. she is being held without bail and in addition of kidnapping breaking and entering assault and battery and a weapons charge. stay with us on ira and online at myfoxboston.com as we continue to stay on stop of this story for you. blair miller: a beverly woman now died for being in the hospital after police say a case of domestic violence. 40-year-old edith black share was attacked on friday night. her estranged husband is a suspect in the case. he is currently in custody. heather hegedus: nearly a dozen people in hyde park are without a home this morning after this house fire burned for an hour last night. on greenwood avenue, as fire crews worked to get the flames under control. the chief said it started around 5:30. either started or accelerated by gas in the home. four people, including 3 and 5-year-old were trapped and had to be rescued. fortunately, everybody did make it out safely. but now family members are grieving over what was inside. >> we just lost my dad a couple months ago, his ashes and his pictures are in there. we lost everything. >> we lost everything. basically what i own right now is what i have on. heather hegedus: they're trying to salvage what they can can and figure out what started that fire. blair miller: thanks to technology, we got this shot from police. it can notify police when shots are fired, went off in roxbury, wept to that area and found a group of people and this loaded gun. a man tried to hide it from officers under a car. they arrested 21-year-old anthony flores for not having a license to carry. heather hegedus: officers say 8 people robbed at gun point after going on dating websites and agreeing to meet at homes in now 31-year-old with a queen robinson is arrested. >> cat fishers, trying to hurt people or steal money from them. heather hegedus: online daters are advised never to meet anyone they don't know in a place that is not heavy populated. blair miller: a bomb threat on board a plane is under investigation. a turkish air flight that left new york city was forced to make an emergency landing in nova scotia. it was on the way from jfk to istanbul when the threat came in. once it landed, the praen was searched but they found nothing. also new, the president coming out overnight with a strong message for isis. >> we do not succumb to fear. we will not accept the idea that restaurants and theaters and hotels are the new normal or we are powerless to stop them. blair miller: this come in after shelter in place. brussels remains on the highest terrorist level. they have an imminent attack like the one in paris. the transit system closed. everyone warned not to gather in large groups. it has been more than a week of course since those deadly attack attacks in paris that left 130 people dead. >> mali is in a state of emergency after 21 people were killed in the nation's capital, leading to an hour's long hostage situation. now, family members of a massachusetts native killed in the terror attack say they're devastated by the senseless violence and terrorism that took her life. anita datar was born in western massachusetts and grew up in new jersey, she spent most of her career working to improve global health services for under served communities. friends describe her as the kindest and most generous person they knew. >> we're devastated by our wonderful daughter who is doing the work that she loves. we have no further comment at this time and ask that you respect our privacy. >> datar is the only american known to have died in the attack. she is sir vooifld by her parents, brother and a young son. blair miller: security still a big concern after the terror attacks and the threat in brussels. last night's football game bc versus notre dame with extra officers there. also a head's up for monday night's pats game in foxboro. you might want to get there early. heather hegedus: three detailses of ebola confirmed in line beer i can't, this after it was declared ebola free a couple weeks ago. the fourth wave of outbreaks, the new cases are all within the same family. this as the world health organization, recently declared the epidemic was over. blair miller: there's a push on beaken cohill to ban a controversy treatment to minors. it's called conversion therapy and some therapists use it to try to change someone's sexuality. matthew was a former patient. >> i told doctors that whatever came up for me naturally was wrong and i now i had to take all of these steps in curing it. blair miller: the techniques include hip knowles sis, bark, a woman and man from new hampshire are dead after their car was hit head on by an 18-year-old driver. police say 18-year-old lamb flaherty was travelling west on route 9. janet from wills borrow was travelling east. flaherty went off the road, returned struck the center line and struck her suv. her passenger, james bouchard, also from hillsboro, died on scene. the other driver, flaherty, wasn't injured. it doesn't appear that drugs or alcohol were factors. blair miller: midwest gets the first taste of this, a major snowstorm this season. more than a foot reported in five states. are dumped some of the heaviest snow chicago has seen in the last century. while chicago was dealing with that. a fire broke out if in a sky scraper, pouring out of 50th floor in hancock tower. four people had minor injuries. firefighters got to the flames pretty quickly. and now looking for a cause. heather hegedus: there's a new type of technology being used in local schools to protect your children. designed to keep predators out and away from students. fox 25 elizabeth hopkins got a look at how it works and what happens when it's detected. >> reporter: there's a new high tech screening system to protect systems. >> it's a scary world we live in now. >> reporter: it's called report tore and it's designed to keep registered sex offenders out of school. requiring staff, parents and visitors to get clear with each entry. >> basically gives us a real good understanding of who comes in our building, we know who they are and there's a listing of exactly who they are. we got to see how it looks when we got checked in. first visitors get buzzed into the building. but aren't allowed past the two second set of doors until their driver's license is scanned. >> i think people who commit crimes, typically look for a target that's easily accessible and they don't have to identify themselves. the tighter we make the system security wise, the less likely someone is going to want to come in here and do something. >> reporter: if if there's a match, the administration is alerted once it clears you u you get a photo i.d. expect badge to enter the building. 13,000 schools around the country are using report torn. 15,000 registered sex offenders. fox 25 learned that 23 districts in massachusetts have report tore, including danvers, happen noefrp and tewksbury. there are none offenders registered a that database: sarah wroblewski: is good sunday morning, everybody. we're going to be dealing with a little more wet weather today compared to yesterday, where it was pretty nice. lots of sunshine. this morning, waking up to temperatures on the chiller side, with spotty light showers, tracking those through the morning. they'll be very hit or miss. but during the afternoon. ly anticipating to see some heavier steadier rain to arrive. especially southeastern areas. and this all comes ahead of colder air that will be marching in for the beginning of the week. so waking up to temperatures, 44 in boston right now, 43 in bedford. 33 in nashua. a patch of rain down here across parts of rhode island as well as the south coast, new bedford, getting towards norwood, 31, wouldn't be surprised to see a wintery mix, noting that places of northeast of keene this morning. areas also dry. all part of this system that moved through the midwest bringing snow to parts of chicago. this cold front will continue to push on through. but i want to point out, we take a look further south and sure enough, there's more wet weather developing off of the southeast coast and this will ride along this weather boundary as it pushes eastward and clip southeastern areas later on today. the exact extent of how far west it goes is something we have to watch very closely. it looks as though now boston will be getting wet as we head into the afternoon. taking a, look at the future cast by late morning, 11 o'clock, just some spotty showers, even a few breaks of sun, very possible through central and western parts of the state. but as we head into the afternoon, around 2, 3 o'clock, we start to see the rain redevelop, in fact, become heavy at times. off shore. darker shades of yellow indicating some steadier rain, notice the sharp cut off of where we see precipitation and further west and knot you go, sdrier conditions. cooler air pour in through the back end of this system. special close to midnight, we're going to start see a brief period of light snow mixing on in on the backside. it's going to be a race between the dryer air pushing in and the system pushing off shore. as for the precipitation, lighter amount to the north and west. north and east, inch, and inch and a half down across the cape and islands. where we actually see that line of where that rain will go, we'll let us know exactly how much rain. but expecting anywhere from a quarter inch, to three quarters of an inch anywhere in the city of boston. the if you plan your day, get your errands done in the morning, in the afternoon. that's when the steady rain arrives. colder tonight, temperatures drop back, take a look at the seven day forecast. back in 20s and 30s. the tomorrow we found naked and miles from her home. we broke the news yesterday morning on the fox 25 morning news of the arrest of the little girl's baby-sitter, 21 abigail hannah, seen right here, is now charged with kidnapping lyndon albers. it's not clear why hannah allegedly took the 2-year-old. we'll have more on hannah's arrest, though, coming up. first it is 6:30 a.m., on sunday november 22nd. i'm heather hegedus >>mm-hmm. i'm blair miller. and fox 25 meteorologist sarah wroblewski joins us. changes from yesterday. sarah wroblewski: scattered showers breaking out as a cold front will be pushing on through. so just hit or miss showers. we've got steadier rain across the south coast. temperatures on the chiller side. low to mid 40s. if taking a closer look, don't be surprised to run into rain drops, in places like, new bedford, bourne, plymouth too. continues to move to the east, these showers, mixing as freezing mark. through special worcester county, a few rain drops. future tests do show these scattered showers will come to an end by lunchtime. as temperatures climb to the 50s. but by the afternoon. steadier rain redevelops across the region. the best spots of seeing that heavier rain coming up in just a few. heather hegedus: following breaking news this morning, a stand off in norton is over. a man accused of firing at police this morning is dead. blair miller: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live this morning. police are now trying to piece all of this together, stephanie. >> reporter: this morning, we have seen police for the last few hours with cameras and flash lights around this home. meanwhile, taking a look behind me, you can actually see the spotlight still shining on this home where the took place. this happened around 10:30 last night. neighbors called 911 to report loud yelling at this home. when officers arrived, they say the man started shooting at them. and officers fired back. we also learned there was a woman inside this home. she was actually able to run to safety before police arrived. and we are told she is okay. a swat team eventually used a robot with a video camera to go inside that home. that's when they found the man dead inside. norton police tweeted out the area was safe just after 3 o'clock this morning. at this point, they're still investigating how the man died. killed himself. or if he was killed when police returned fire. police also looking into the relationship between the man and woman. they told me the man doesn't live here at the home. but they're not sure about the woman. we are speaking to neighbors once they wake up about what they may have seen, what they may have heard. coming up in 30 minutes, the action the police took right before that man opened fire. in norton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. blair miller: more now on our developingtory this morning. that hamilton 2-year-old is in the hospital this morning but is in good condition. she was kidnapped by her former baby-sitter. 2-year-old lyndon albers dis appeared from her home friday morning. now her former baby sitter is being charged. 21 abigail hannah seen here is in custody. took her in custody yelled found her in e.r. in salem. it's not clear why hannah was if had the hospital. she's being held without bail tomorrow. fox 25 will have full coverage of that on air and online at myfoxboston.com. happening today, a wake is being held this morning for a baby who died last week from a blunt force trauma to the head. shawn sylvester's death now ruled a homicide. so far no charges filed. but a man living in the same house is being charged with child sex abuse images. 21-year-old tommy page in visual representations of a baby boy engaging in sexually splils sit conduct. the charges against page have nothing to do with baby shawn's death. >> nude pictures of a boy in sexual positions or whatever, but it wasn't of sj, separate incident. blair miller: tommy page is not facing charges in baby shawn's death. heather hegedus: we're learning more of a deadly shooting in blackstone, around 7:30. neighbors called 911 after hearing gunshots. respond to a home on mendon street and found 43 kevin gonzalez dead. an autopsy will be performed to determine exactly how he died. ashland police followed a play from a man's own book to arrest him on harassment charges. 26-year-old kevin scott is accused of using facebook to repeatedly message, friend request and send violent video clips to a woman in ashland. but police couldn't catch up with him because he was in florida, so they waited, watched his facebook page, when he posted about visiting his mother in massachusetts. police greeted scott at the home in handcuffs. now he's in custody being held on $20,000 bail. blair miller: new this morning, more than 100 missing in a landslide. it happened near a jade mine. most of the victims are villagers gathering scraps from the mine. heather hegedus: this morning, a dog is recovering after a freak accident on a hike. cat rock park in weston on thursday. dog jake, ran ahead of its owner on a trail and somehow ended up with a stick lodged in jake's chest. veterinarians say jake's story is not that unusual for dogs. apparently jake is one lucky dog, though, because the stick organs. as you can see he was treated and expected to make a full recovery in roughly two weeks. blair miller: as we sit down on thursday, enjoy our holiday meal, it will be extra special for some people. how the salvation army is stepping up to make sure everyone has a thanksgiving to remember. heather hegedus: reporter: it started out with a local guy who needed some supplies while serving overseas, it's turned into this, more than 350 boxes everything filled with essentials, to halloween candy, to pieces from home. for some it is personal. >> another son is there, and it's become full circle. >> the i have a daughter in the military too. >> we've been doing this for twelve years and today we packed boxes for our son serving in afghanistan. >> reporter: truly a community effort, from schools, churches, donating goods and manpower. eleven years later, still going strong, an effort to bring comfort also dealing with a few scattered showers along the south shore, the south coast, places like new bedford, temperatures in the 30s and 40s. to the north and west, little cooler in some spots. lower 30s parts of new hampshire. lots of clouds around. anticipated because we are going to be dealing with the risk of some scattered showers through the morning hours. but by this afternoon, we're actually going to bump up the chance of rain, steadier rain especially across the southeast and that will continue through tonight. the by tomorrow, just a few lingering showers possible for the cape and islands. other wise we're drying out and boy are we cooling off. your hour by hour rain fall does project to see a good shrug of rain. from boston up to nashua, watch the rain the that moves in this afternoon. how far west it gets or how far east it stays. but even in the boston area, we could be picking up anywhere between a half of an inch of rain. anticipating today, 40s yesterday, 50s today, temperatures a little cloudier. not going to be a wash out, talking about a few showers this morning. except for this afternoon, we're going to be dealing with that heavy steadier rain. there will be some dry periods. independent what happens tonight, temperatures really fall, fall back into the 20s, 30s, below freezing in some spots that may play a factor as this system moves on out. colder air well to the west of grakz great lakes region. some of the colder air following low pressure that is pushing through southern canada and pushing this cold front right through our area today. this is what we're going to be dealing with, this cold front providing the showers through your lunch hour. notice to the north and west, though, around lunchtime, we'll sunshine. notice what happens to the south, a storm system that develops and rides along the weather wounltd boundary, brings back the rain chances for southeast part of the state through the afternoon, 1 o'clock, to 3 o'clock, around 8:30 p.m., steadier rain down to southeast, north and west of boston, dryer staying cloudy, most of the precipitation off shore still enough to clip us rain. as that cold front comes on in, that rain may of transition to a few snowflakes on the back end. by monday, the system is out, temperatures are not going to recover that nicely. from 50s today, 40s tomorrow. and of course the patriots playing at home tomorrow night. it's going to be a cold one. it will be dry for travelling but if you're travelling this weekend, watch out, a few rain, possibly even some snow showers in the breaking this morning, a terrifying night for one neighborhood is over. about you the man dead after a stand off ending in gunfire. blair miller: stephanie coueignoux is live in norton this morning, police trying to figure out exactly what happened there. >> reporter: and blair, we've seen a lot of police activity since we've been here around 4:30 this morning. meantime, in just the last 30 minutes, you can see some investigators right there in the middle of azalea street. this is where that stand off happened. that red device, measuring part of the street. take a look behind them. this is thom that was focussed in if stand off. and you can see how many officers responded to the situation. this all started around 10:30 last night. that's when neighbors called police. after they heard yelling coming from inside the home. officers arrived and when they knocked on the door, that's when they say a man inside started shooting at them. police fired back and immediately called for back up, mass. state police arrived, swat team members arrived. police eventually found a man dead inside the home. this he are still trying to figure out exactly how he died, whether he killed himself or whether he died after police fired back at him. police also told me the man had been fighting with a woman in the house earlier that night. they say she was able to get out safely before police arrived and we're told that she is okay. police, though, this morning, still investigating the relationship between the man and a woman. they told us the man lives at the home. this e.r. not exactly sure whether the woman does as well. this investigation could take hours. police being very thorough, seen them with cameras and flashlights in and out of the home. the coming up in 30 minutes, the tool they used to be aible to safely enter that home. in norton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 morning news. blair miller: this morning, we're also trying to get more information from police about a shooting in roslindale. not releasing many disabout this. it happened at the cemetery last night around 10 o'clock. video from scene there we got. a man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries no word on any arrest or how that man is doing this morning. a man in the hospital this morning after being shot in the head and shoulder in brockton. the enterprises is reporting it happened in a parking lot at the corner of main and cress september street. that man flown to a boston hospital and state police looked for a possible suspect. we do have calls in to police heather hegedus: investigation into that hamilton kidnapping. this morning, we're learning the 2-year-old kidnapped remains in the hospital but is improving. this as her former baby-sitter gets ready to face a judge tomorrow. 12-year-old lyndon albers went missing friday morning from her hamilton home. she was found hours later with her head shaved, naked and bruised. her former baby-sitter was the one who broke into the home and abducted her. took abigail hannah into custody after fox 25 learned police found hannah in the e.r. of north shore medical center. it's not clear why hannah was in the hospital. she's now being held without bail. in addition to kidnapping charges faces charges of breaking and entering, assault and battery, and even a weapons charge. fox 25 has all of the details on this in the hospital for what police say a case of domestic violence. edith black share was attacked on monday night, her estranged husband, axle is the suspect in this case. currently in custody. heather hegedus: nearly a deputies people in hyde park are without a home this morning take a look. the flames burning for hours last night. this was the scene on greenwood avenue as firefighters drived to get those flames under control. it started around 5:30 and was either started or accelerated by gas in the home. four people, including a 3 and 5-year-old were trapped inside and had to be rescued. everybody made it out safely but now family members are grieving over what was lost inside. >> and we just lost my dad a couple of months ago and his articlings are in there, all of his pictures, we lost everything. >> basically we lost everything. what we have on, is basically what i own right now. heather hegedus: just devastating. fire investigators will be going back in the home today trying to salvage what they ask and try to determine exactly what started that fire. blair miller: shots fired led police to a loaded gun thanks to technology. this picture right here from boston police, the shots finder system which did can notify police shots fired in certain areas went off early saturday in roxbury, police went to the area and found a groom of people and this loaded gun. a man tried to hide it from officers under a scar. arrested 21-year-old anthony floor resident for not having a license to scary. heather hegedus: boston police made an arrest in cat fishing spree. going on dating sites and agreeing to meet at home in mattapan and roxbury. joaquin was arrested friday. online daylighters should always be cautious. >> every single dating site out there, is populated with saturday in new hampshire, the central part of that state, 18-year-old liam flaherty from farmington new york travelling west on route 9, janet wilmington from hillsboro travelling east. flaherty's car lost control, went off the road, returned, crossed the center line and struck wilmington's suv, she succumbed to her injuries. her passenger, james bouchard also from hillsboro died on scene. but the other driver, flaherty, was not injured. state police are investigating but do not think drugs or alcohol were factors. blair miller: some cars ditched on the side of the road in iowa, as the midwest gets first taste of a major snowstorm this season. more than a foot reported in areas across five states. system dumped heaviest snow chicago has seen in the last century. while chicago was system. meantime the agency has agreed to form a forum on the 3rd at milton high school. >> the fox 25 storm tracker weather team. sarah wroblewski: temperatures struggled to get out of the 40s. at least you saw that sunshine. to a lot of clouds out there. light spotty showers in spots. but we are going to be watching heavier rain to develop especially across the southeast and as far west as worcester hours. once that system moves on out, on in. today, temperatures will be actually be above normal. right around the upper 40s boston. already 40s, in the city. clouds out there, winds out of the south right now, feels like the lower 40gs, not too much of a wind chill. but it is chiller out to the north and west. temperatures back into the 30s, 40s for the cape and islands, 50 on the vineyard. where you're seeing that green, light showers, very hit or miss through the morning hours with a lot of clouds in play. thanks to low pressure that will continue to push to the east, pushing this cold front right across our region. one thing i want to point out, while we do have spotty showers now, take a look down across the southeast. we're starting to see some better organized precipitation come together and this system is going to ride along this weather boundary and just clip southeastern areas with some steadier rain as we held into the afternoon. so as you go through the day today, even around your lunch hour, anticipate to see some breaks of sunshine through central and western parts of the state. more clouds along the coast and for the cape a few of those showers, then as we head into the afternoon notice what happens, 2, 3 o'clock, steadier rain starts to move on in. again, weapon could get as far as worcester seeing some of this rain, where you're seeing those darker shades of yellow, devheavier downpours. further west you go as you head through the evening hours, it's going to be july out there, sharp cult off where we see rain and where we don't were and where we see rain across the reason, some areas picking up over an inch, colder april filter on in, overnight tonight around 11 o'clock, not be surprise his to see a few wet snowflakes mixing in on the tail end of precipitation. clearing skies from west to east. and waking up on monday, well, some sunshine and colder conditions. so today we're looking at highs of upper 40s to low 50s, telleder rain across the southeast. and as we clear out, those temperatures will tumble back into the 30s in boston. that's why is we could see some of the wet snowflakes on the tail end of this system. 20s through the interior. and come tomorrow, highs upper 30s to low 40s. now, the good news is that as we take a look at the seven day forecast, the cooler weather doesn't stick under a too much but it will be cold for the pats game monday night, temperatures flow freezing likely. by tuesday, stuck in the 40s once again. a little better on wednesday, staying dry, great for travel if you're headed out for the holiday. as for thursday, we'll finally warm up above average into the 50s, perhaps 30s and 40s, football games, it's going to be sunny and dry. towards the weekend, if southern areas it's just rain. as temperatures are above freezing in most locations. in fact, 46 in boston. we are still in the 30s to the north and west. but as we travel down across the southeast, this is where we have our best shot of some showers right now. temperatures in the 40s. north and west, in places like worcester to holden, even westborough to middle son, lower parts of new hampshire. wind very light, turning towards the north. temperatures climb above normal today getting into the 50s. but as we had the chance of scattered showers this morning. we had a slightly better neighbors are waking up into this neighborhood, simply stunned by what happened. i spoke to a manual who lived nearby, he said the man involved in the stand off just moved into this neighborhood. you can see all of this crime scene tape surrounding this area, that the is home on azalea street where that stand off took place. the this all started around 10:30 last night. several neighbors called 911 to inside that home. when officers arrived, that's when the man started shooting at them. so officers fired back. this morning, we have learned there was a woman inside the home as well. we're told she was able to get arrived. and we are also told that she's doing okay. but a swat team also actually to go inside the home. that's when they discovered that man dead inside. norton police tweeting out the area around 3 a.m. the stand off just five hours, a little less than five hours long. at this point, though, trying to determine exactly how that man died. they're not sure whether they killed himself or whether he was shot and killed during that gunfire exchange. and police are also still looking into the relationship between the man and the woman. again, we know the man lived there. that's according to police. they aren't sure exactly whether the woman lived there. again, i've been speaking with some neighbors, coming up in 30 minutes, very frightening moments one man told according to the da. she was kidnapped about i her former baby sitter, we have fold this story every stem of the way. 2-year-old lyndon albers us dis and yesterday morning, she was found hours later, make cemmed and bruised her held was shaved. police sayly they took abigail hannah in custody yesterday morning, after they found her in the e.r. in north shore medical center in salem. it's not clear morning for a new hampshire baby who died last week in the blunt force trauma to the head. 11 month shawn sylvester's death now ruled a homicide. so far no charges filed in this. but a man who lived in the same house in alexandria is being charged with the child sex abuse images. 29-year-old tommy page had visual representations of a baby boy engaging in sexually explicit conduct. say the charges against page have nothing to do with baby shawn's death. >> there's nude pictures of a boy sexually positions or whatever. but it wasn't of sj. separately related incident. blair miller: we want to make it clear this morning, we do not know who is in those pictures. tommy page is not facing charges in baby shawn's death. heather hegedus: we are learning of a deadly shooting in blackstone. neighbors called 911 after hearing gunshots. responded to a home on men ton street and found 43 the kevin gonzalez dead. an autopsy will be perform to determine exactly how he died. and this morning, a dog recovered after a freak accident on a hike. it happened in cat rock park in weston on thursday. jake the pointer mix ran ahead. its owner on a trail and somehow right in his chest. veterinarians say jake's story is not that unusual for dogs. they do see this quite frequently. apparently jake is one lucky dog because that managed to miss all of his vital organs. good news. you can see insensitive language. >> if you're going to stand up and say something that other people will find offensive or harmful then you need to be prepared for the ramifications of that. >> reporter: kailey says her daughter who is the high school's head cheerleader is now banned for the rest of then season. >> because of other people's overreaction toward it, they felt she should be punished for that. before the sunshine returns. and while temperatures are dropping. as for the amount of rain fall, really impressive totals coming in within the last 24 hours. in fact, watching a storm system, most of it off shore, but slipping apartments of southeastern parts of the state. by tomorrow morning could being waking up to an inch to an inch and a half of rain, even in the boston area, could be picking up over a half an inch. sharp cut off, where we see rain, heavy and where we don't. notice in worcester and nashua. less than a 10th of inch. a happening from this morning's showers we're dealing with. as we go through the day, temperatures right now in 30s and 40s. will actually climb above normal getting in the upper 40s, to mid 50s. mid 50s across the southeast, this is where you have your best chance. seeing steadier rain. i say rain because it's a mild system. but late tonight, as the system pulse away. cooler air is going to try to work the on in. notice temperatures dropping back into the 20s, 30s at the coast, the tail end of the system, we could see a bit of change over or a few wet snowflakes mixing in. low pressure, across southeastern parts of canada, trailing this cold to the north and west, closer to the coast, more clouds, the risk of those scattered showers. now down to the south, watch what happens this afternoon, with he start to see some better organization of some of this rain that starts to push along this weather boundary and by 2, 3 o'clock, we are seeing some rain push into southeastern areas, always low pressure ride along this cold front. that means through the afternoon and evening hours, going to see southeastern areas deal with steadier rain, heavy at times, across the cape and islands. further west you go, sharp cut off, likely to stay dry. tonight, that cooler weather starting to pull in as this system pulse away, we could see a brief change over, not looking at much of accumulation. that cool weather does pull in, clear the clouds from but perhaps some steadier rain not just for the the cape and islands but southeastern areas and boston area. taking a look at the satellite and radar right now, low pressure pushing on through, providing some quality skies out there and a few showers. but look at steadier rain developing carolina coast. sure enough, this is going to be the moisture that streams north ward and brings steadier rain during the afternoon hours. but waking up right now, chilly out there, with temperatures in 30s, 47 in boston. 40s for the cape and islands vineyard and nantucket both in the lower 50s. not too bad right there. as we take you through the is day, temperatures rising. steadier rain develops this afternoon. we're going to take a look at when to expect the rain to come to an end and the cooler weather that follows ahead. heather hegedus: we are following breaking news this morning. a stand off in norton is over. the man accused of starting it firing at police now dead. blair miller: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live in norton this morning. stephanie, police are now trying to piece together how all of this unfolded. >> reporter: and blair, they've been here for almost ten hours gathering evidence, taking a look behind me, we actually saw four investigators walk to the front of this house right here. and this is where that stand off took place, on avail i can't street. right now. they're still trying to determine how that man died. weather he killed himself, or whether police shot and killed him during that stand off. take a look. from this video, you can see how many officers responded to this situation. this all started around 10:230 last night. which is when neighbors say they called police after hearing yelling coming from inside that home. officers arrived and when they knocked on the front door, a man inside they say started shooting at them. police immediately fired back and then called for additional helpful i just spoke with a man who lived next door. he told me he was in bed when all of this happened. suddenly he and his wife heard four gunshots one right after the other. >> there were four right in succession. they just boom boom boom right off the bat. and like i said, it didn't sound like a small caliber weapon. frightened, they just really dove into the bed. police say they eventually found the man dead inside that home. now, police say the man had been fighting with the woman earlier this night. she was able actually to run out for safety. they say she's okay. they say right now the man owns that home, he lives inside. they're not really sure about the relationship between the man and the woman. but coming up in 30 minutes, we're going to let you know the information that we are learning about that man at this hour. in norton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. blair miller: this morning, we are also trying to get more information from police about a shooting in roslindale. right now they're not releasing many details. this is video from the scene, it happened at the oakland cemetery around 10 o'clock last night. the man taken to the the hospital with serious injuries. no up date on any arrests or how that man is doing this morning. new this morning, a man in the hospital after being shot in the head and shoulder in brockton. the enterprise is reporting it three bahs at the corner of main and crescent street. that man flown to a boston hospital and state police are looking for a possible suspect. we do have calls in into to this. heather hegedus: now into the investigation of the hamilton toddler who was kidnapped. this morning, we learned she is in the hospital and still improving. this as her baby-sitter faces a judge tomorrow. 2-year-old lyndon albers went missing from her home. she was found hours later naked and bruised. police say the baby-sitter broke into the home and abducted her. salem police took 22-year-old abigail hannah into custody yesterday morning and found her in the e.r. of the north shore medical center. it's not sure why she was in the hospital. she is being held without bail. she faces charges of kidnapping, breaking and entering and a weapons charge. fox 25 has the now died after being in the hop for a case of domestic violence. police say 45-year-old edith black share was attacked on monday night. er estranged husband, axle, is a suspect in the case. he is currently in custody. heather hegedus: there are nearly a dozen people without a home tonight after a massive fire that burned for hours last night. on greenwood avenue as fire crews worked to get the flames under control. it happened around 5:30 and either started or accelerated by gas in the home. four people, including a 3-year-old and 5-year-old were trapped inside and had to be rescued. those rescued also included one firefighter who were taken to the hospital. family members are grieving over what was lost inside. couple of months ago and his ashes are in there, all of his pictures and everything, we lost everything. >> basically we lost everything. like, what we have on, what i have on, is what basically i own right now. heather hegedus: devastating for them. fire investigators will be going back inside the home today trying to salvage what they ask and trying to determine exactly what started the fire. blair miller: thanks to technology, this picture right here from boston police, shot spotter system, can identify spots fired went off in roxbury. police went to that area and found this group of people and this loaded gun. a man tried to hide it from officers under a scar. they arrested 21-year-old anthony flores for not having a license toer ska. heather hegedus: boston police make an arrest in cat fishing spree. 8 people were robbed at gunpoint recently after going on a dating website and agreeing to meet at homes in mattapan and roxbury. now 30-year-old with a keep austin of dorchester has been arrested. investigators are special advising never meet anyone not in a unpop pulated area. blair miller: the plane headed to the final destination, a turkey airline forced to make an emergency landing in nova scotia earlier this morning. the plane was on aren't allowed the second set of doors until their driver's licenses are scanned. raptor then compares names and driver's licenses information to a registered sex offender database across the country. >> i think people who commit crimes typically look for a target that is easily accessible and they don't have to identify themselves. so the tighter we make the security wise, the less likely someone is going to want to come in here and do something. >> reporter: if there's a match, the security system is alatered, once it clears you, you get a photo i.d. badge to go inside the building. 13,000 with that wind out of the southeast. slight wind chill. we do have temperatures back into the 30s, though, beverly, 39, nashua, 35, 37 in keene. seeing some hints of green on here. indicating a few light showers. the hit or miss, not everyone will see them this morning. but we do have the possibility of seeing this wet weather all thanks to a cold front that will continue to push eastward through the area today. but look down towards south and east, and we're starting to see steadier rain develop off the carolinas. this is an ocean storm, most of it going off to sea, but it will be moving north and east and close enough to our area that steady rain will likely develop during the afternoon and continue into the evening. so our future cast showing, the threat of these spotty showers through about the late morning, midday hours. notice further north and west you go, would not be surprised to see some sunshine. by this afternoon, 2, 3 o'clock, some steadier rain starting to develop from the south. overspread southeastern times steady at times. there will be a shut off, where we see rain and where we don't. exactly where this line will be something we're going to have. with a as it moves further to the south and east, boston, part of rhode island, northeastern connecticut. likely see very dry conditions but we could also see this line wiggle a little bit to the west too. nonetheless, the further north and west you go, the dryer it's going to be. the cape and islands, you're going to see these heavier downpours through the majority of the afternoon and into the evening hours. and boy, are we talking about some wet weather. up to an inch, to inch and a half of rain is possible. now you're looking at the future cast around midnight and starting to see a little bit of snow. cooler air is going to filter on in. i'm not anticipating to see time in the i with a of this change over. but there could be a brief period as this system pulls away and that colder april moves on in by monday morning. today, enly joy those temperatures in 40s and 50s. tonight we drop back into the 30s. and tonight, we struggle to get out of 40s. it's going to be blustery too. questioning neighbors about what they may have seen and heard. right here behind me, you can see five investigators standing outside this home. and just about 20 minutes ago, take a look at this very large tree right there. officers were actually scrutinizing that tree, telling me they were actually looking for bullet holes. that may give you an idea as to just how far they think those bullets might have traveled during that standoff. meantime, this all started around 10:30 last night. police say several neighbors yelling inside this home. when officers arrived, police say the man inside started shooting at them. so they returned fire. inside as well. she was actually able to run to safety before police arrived. we're told she is okay this morning. also earlier this morning, i spoke with a man who lives nearby. he said the man involved in the home. and he couldn't tell us whether the man and woman might have been married, dating, friends. but he said last night he heard four gunshots, one right after the other. >> there were four. right in succession. just boom boom boom boom. right off the bat. like i said, it didn't sound like a small caliber weapon. >> reporter: now a s.w.a.t. team actually used their robot with a video camera to safely get inside that home. that's when they found that the man was dead. at this point, they're still investigating how that man died. they're not sure whether he might have killed himself or whether he might have been shot during that standoff with police. again, police still gathering evidence about 10 hours after that standoff engaging in sexually explicit conduct. say the charges against page have nothing to do with baby shawn's death. >> there were nude pictures of a boy sexually positions or whatever. but it wasn't of dog is recovering after a freak accident that happened on a hike. in weston thursday. the dog, jake, who was a appointmenter mix, ran ahead of its owner on a trail and somehow ended up with a stick lodged in his chest. veterans say jake's story is not that i believe usual for dog but what is unusual is that jake was lucky because that stick missed all of his vital organs. he is expected to make wonderful there. it is 46 degrees. so temperatures are actually on the milder side. and your feels like conditions, not really too much of a difference. that's a good thing, the winds are light out of the south. tell be returning out of the day. believe it or not, we're going to be talking about above average temperatures. 40s. today upper 40s to low to middle 50s. scattered showers. and well, some steadier rain developing later today. morning. they'll be very hit or miss. then we're talking about a higher chance across southeastern areas this afternoon. continuing through tonight. and by monday, we clear out. over the cape and islands. end up turning out to be a brighter and much cooler day. as for the moment of precipitation, new totals coming in right now. still showing that the main bulk southeastern areas. but the further north and west you go, boston, you can see the amounts quickly drop off. something we'll be watching throughout the day today as we're watching rain to our south right up along this cold front moving eastward. this front is what's providing the threat of these hit or miss showers this morning. it's a storm to our south that's going to bring most of the moisture off shore this afternoon but will be clipping our southeastern area. current conditions, waking up, it is chilly to the north and west, with temperatures in the 30s, milder across the the 40s and 50s. lots of clouds, we are seeing a there. but this front will continue to push to the east. and as it does so, we'll see the risk of these hit or miss showers come to an end by your lunch hour. but notice by 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, steadier rain from the south, begins to move on in, and really going to be across our southeastern areas as lower pressure remains off shore. dryer conditions to the north and west. cooler air began to filter in on the back side of this system. once we get close to midnight. could see a few wet snowflakes as this system moving away. wake up to a cold temperatures at the bus stop. continue to see blustery conditions, blustery conditions throughout the day, temperatures cooler tomorrow than today. and that sets up for cold conditions if you're headed to gillette for the pats game, sure enough looking at the temperature right around 30, dropping into the 20s. good news, temperatures are on the rise as we head on through looking at above average temperatures. in fact, that forecast does show we do see improvement. if you are travelling this week, looking pretty good. on thanksgiving, temperatures will actually be into the 50s all around by the afternoon with some sunshine. we're going to hold onto that sunshine through friday. and dry conditions as temperatures get close to 60. then if you're travelling this weekend, eyes on another system that could bring some rain and even a little bit of snow. forecast. heather hegedus: all right. well, an annual push at small buildings to shop. marty walsh kicking off holiday on inma hegedus: we are morning. a terrifying night for one neighborhood is over now with the a man dead after a standoff ending in gunfire. blair miller: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux live for us this morning. you've been there all morning long. are police trying to figure out anything. >> reporter: about 40 minutes ago they were doing going door-to-door, hoping to learn more information about what they may have seen or heard before police arrived. taking a look behind me you can see they actually had that crime scene tape and a couple of officers right there right next to the house on azalea street where that standoff happened. at this appointment in the morning, this he are still trying to determine how that man died, whether he killed himself, or whether he was shot during that standoff by police. and take a look. from this video you can see how many officers responded to this scene. this all started around 10:30 last night. where neighbors called police after they heard yelling inside this house. officers arrived. and when they knocked on the door, that's when they say a man inside started shooting at them. police immediately fired back. and then called for additional helpful earlier this morning, i spoke with a man who lives with his wife getting ready to go to sleep for the night, when all of a sudden, they heard four gunshots back to back. >> we heard the gunshots. like i said, it sounded like it was very large caliber weapons. it wasn't a handgun. and it was loud. it sounded like it was right in the -- right here. you know a few feet away from my house. >> reporter: obviously very frightening for a lot of residents here who were going to bed for the night or may have been woken up by those gunshots. police eventually went inside that home that's when they found the man dead inside. police also told me the man had been fighting with a woman in that house earlier. the woman was able to run out of the house and get helpful she is okay this morning. that's what we're being told by police. they are still investigating the exact relationship between the man and the woman. but coming up in 30 minutes, we've been speaking with neighbors we've been learning a little bit more about the man involved in this standoff, and i'll have that information for you coming up in 30 minutes. in norton, stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 morning news. blair miller: this morning, also trying to get more information from police about a shooting in roslindale, they're not releasing many details on this right now. we know it happened at the cemetery around 10 o'clock. main and crescent street. that man flown to a boston hospital. and state police look for a possible suspect. do have calls in to the police for more information this morning. heather hegedus: into that hamilton kidnapping investigation. this morning, we're learning the 2-year-old still in the hospital right now. but her condition is improving. this as her former baby sitter gets ready to face a judge tomorrow. 2-year-old lyndon albers went missing friday morning from her hamilton home. found hours later with her head shaved, she was naked and bruised. police say her former baby-sitter broke into the home and abducted her. and salem police say they took 21-year-old abigail hannah into custody after fox 25 learned police found her in the e.r. of north shore medical center. it's not clear why hannah was in the hospital. she is being held without bail. in addition to kidnapping charges she now faces charges of breaking and entering, assault charge. foksz has been breaking all of greenwood avenue as crews tried to get those flames under control. the chief says it started around 5:30 yesterday and was either started by or accelerated by gas in the home. four people, including a 3-year-old and 5-year-old had to be rescued. now nearly a dozen people are without a home and picking up the pieces. >> and we just lost my dad a couple of months ago and his ashes are in there, all of his pictures, everything, we lost everything. >> basically we lost everything. what we have on, what i have on, is what basically i own right now. heather hegedus: fire investigators will be going back in that home today to try to salvage what they can and determine exactly what caused that fire. blair miller: police find a loaded gun thanks to technology, this picture right here from boston police, the spots fired system can notify police when shots are fired in certain areas, police went to the roxbury found a group people and this gun. a man apparently tried to hide it from the area under a car. they arrested 19-year-old anthony floor relation for not having a license to scary. heather hegedus: cat fishing robbery spree, officers say eight people robbed at gunpoints, recently after going on dating websites and agreeing to meet people at homes in mattapan and roxbury. now 30-year-old with a keep of dorchester has been arrested. online daters need to be extremely careful. >> every single online dating site out there is populated with fraudulent scammers, cat fishers, trying to hurt people or steal money from them. heather hegedus: saying online daters should never meet someone they don't know in a place that's not heavily populated. blair miller: time now 9:07. a bomb threat on a plane. turkish airline flight left jfk last night forced to make an emergency landing in nova scotia p sha early this morning. bomb sniffing dogs searched the plane and luggage. they didn't find anything suspicious. that plane is now on the way to istanbul. also overnight, the and now family members of a massachusetts native killed in the terror attack are speaking out about mr. devastation over the senseless violence and terrorism that took this woman's life. anita datar was born in western massachusetts and grew up in new jersey. she spent most of her career working to improve global health services for underserved communities. friends describe her as the kindest and most generous person they knew. >> we are devastated by the loss of our wonderful daughter who was doing the work that she loves. we ask for no further comment at this time and ask for our privacy. >> mass port received 11,000 noise complaints as of september. 17 percent of those from milton. since the new flight patterns went into effect, noise complaints doubled. in towns like hull, belmont, looking into the problem. all of this is the result of a new low altitude gps system called next gin. >> these are the old paths in yellow here. now on days when the wind calls planes over a more condensed narrow approach over the runway going right over milton and other towns. the faa say it is it's much more on travel time. >> reporter: the agency says it is working with faa on noise abatement. requiring some departs planes to make a sharp left turn over the harbor instead of flying straight over milton. >> what would you propose. >> equity. there's a concept called fanning in the industry. right now that's not being done. >> i like to think there's smart people working in the government to figure out a way to not affect the same people every day all year long. >> reporter: in not the only city dealing with these issues, phoenix, chicago of among others have filed a lawsuit against the faa. here at home, the agency has agreed to hold a forum with milton high school. >> with some spotty showers out there. and with temperatures in the 30s north and west, we're going to have to watch for any spotty problems. up in part of new hampshire. up just hit or miss showers right now. this afternoon, that's when arrive. cooler weather will follow. cooler weather stretched through part of the great lakes and the midwest following this system that brought that area of snow yesterday. chicago picked up yesterday several inches of snow. the majority of the precipitation headed into apartments of canada. but this cold front, it is the culprit to ink beforing wet weather this morning. notice as you travel further south, this front, we do have wet weather getting better organized off the carolina coastline. this is all going to stream north ward. this is area i'm concerned about, during the afternoon hours, most of the activity will be off shore. about you the back edge will clip some of our area, with some steady and at times heavy rain. right now we've got temperatures, 40s and 50s across the out east, a few springs here and there. northwest, temperatures back into the 30s, mid 30s places like nashua. further north, you go, with any area of dritz slick conditions on the roadway. taking hour by hour through the day, hit or miss showers off the coast as temperatures climb to near 50s degrees by lunch hour. not surprised to see breaks of sunshine north and west you go. notice what happens around 2, 3 o'clock, the rain begins to pick up again across the north' east. the further west you go, the temperatures climb into upper 40s, to low 50s. mid 50s across the southeast. so a mild day, but continuing to see the rain chances through the afternoon and evening hours. especially from points south and east of boston. it's going to be a sharp cut off where we see rain and where we do not. any slight shift in track will allow for some areas to really pick up a good amount of rain. but right now, the best chances will being down across the southeast, the cape and islands. but we could see even some of that rain as far west, parts of north eastern new hampshire and part of northeastern connecticut. back on fox 25 news, cooler air pulse in as this storm system pulls away. then we clear things out from west to east and temperatures drop. when you wake up tomorrow and head back to work and school, we're in the 20s and 30s. chilly conditions. temperatures, they're going to be quietly cool tomorrow. that means as we take a look at your seven-day forecast, temperatures at gillette below freezing, very cold with wind chill values in the 20s. hold onto the cool conditions on tuesday. but gets dry and bright. great travel conditions for your wednesday. no problems there. temperatures begin to improve. by thursday, by thanksgiving, looking pretty fantastic, with high unless the 50s. bright sunshine, good for all of of those football games in the morning. bring back the risk of showers by saturday. forecast. blair they're going to make it such a big deal. they're going to make it so big, he said something so politically incorrect. i want surveillance of certain mosques, okay. >> reporter: on the democratic side yesterday, hillary clinton called trump's remarks shocking and should be denounced by all presidential candidates. >> it doesn't work for us to act like we're going to shut our borders and pull up the morning news. heather hegedus: and this morning, we continue to follow this story of that hamilton toddler found naked and hurt miles from her home. we broke the news yet morning of the arrest of the little girl's baby-sitter. 21-year-old abigail hannah being charged with kidnapping lyndon albers. more on new details fox 25 has uncovered about hannah's arrest and tell you how the little girl is doing in just a bit. first, it's 9:30 on sunday november 22nd, thanks for waking up with us, i'm heather hegedus. blair miller: and i'm blair miller. fox 25 meteorologist sarah wroblewski joins us now, tracking the timeline for the rain, really off and on. sarah wroblewski: showers definitely moving across the region this morning. hit or miss this morning. but take a look, some moisture to the south u all going to stream north ward and clip southeastern areas as we head into the afternoon. lots of clouds, 47. we are anticipating to see lower 50s. but during the afternoon and evening. that's when we have to watch for the rain fall to move on in. we're talking a good amount. some areas over an inch is expected. coming up, my timeline of when to expect the rain to come to an end ahead. heather hegedus: breaking this morning, a terrifying night for one neighborhood is overnow. a standoff leading to one man dead this morning. blair miller: fox 25 stephanie coueignoux is live this morning. stephanie, police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened there hours ago. >> reporter: they were actually questioning neighbors earlier this morning. meantime, neighbors this morning describing to me a very chaotic situation last night. actually, just spoke with a man who lives next door to this home right here, he says that he heard very loud yelling last night. he heard someone yell, call police. he also saw a man inside this home running around the parent technically. this home off of azalea street is the focus of that standoff. it started around 10:30 last night when neighbors called police about that yelling. when officers arrived, police say the man started shooting at them. so officers fired back. this morning, we also learned that a woman was also inside that home. she was able to run out of that house for safety. and we are told that she's okay. sump a chaotic situation, a lot of yelling, they say a lot of loud gunshots and then the commotion inside that house. the man who lives next door says he saw it all from his window. >> they were sort of running around in the kitchen area. and then there was like a living room a few feet from there. the they were sort of running around in that area. but i have no idea that that was going on. >> reporter: was it just one >> was one person. from what i remember, to as a man, i think he had a red shirt on. >> reporter: and then again, he says after that commotion, he eventually heard all of the gunshots. so very scary situation for everyone in this neighborhood. now, a s.w.a.t. team eventually used a robot with a video camera to get inside that home that's when they found that man dead inside. at this point this morning, police still trying to figure out exactly how that man died, whether he might have killed himself or whether he was killed during that standoff with police. and we've also seen officers walking around this neighborhood, in fact, you can see this tree right here behind me, officers were actually looking for bullet holes in that tree. they were also going to houses to look for bullet holes. just to give you a perspective as to just how far those bulletses they thought might have actually gone. in norton, i'm stephanie coueignoux, fox 25 news. heather hegedus: go back to that developing story this morning about that hamilton 2-year-old, she remains in the hospital but is improving, according to the da. her former baby-sitter kidnapped her and fox 25 followed this story every stem of the i with a for you. 2-year-old lyndon albers disappeared from home friday morning. she was found hours later naked and bruised, her head shaved. police took 21-year-old abigail hannah from topsfield into custody early yesterday morning. and fox 25 has learned police found hannah in the e.r. right now it's not clear why she was in the hospital. she is being held without bail and due to be arraigned tomorrow. and fox 25 will have full coverage of her arraignment tomorrow both on air and online. blair miller: happening today, a wake is being held this morning for a new hampshire baby who died last week of blunt force trauma to the head. 11 month old shawn sylvester's death ruled a homicide. so far no charges in this. but a man lived in the same house is being charged with child sex abuse images. 29 year old tommy page had visual representations of a baby boy engaging in sexually explicit conduct. family and friends say the charges against page have nothing to do with baby shawn's death. >> nude pictures of a boy in sexually positions or whatever. but it wasn't of sj. it was separately related incident. blair miller: we want to make it clear, we do not know who the was in the pictures police found. tommy page is not facing charges blair miller: new this morning, at least 700 people dead, in a slandslide near jade march. most of the victims are villagers gathering scraps from the mine. heather hegedus: back home. at dog is recovering after a freak accident on a hike. it happened in cat rock park in weston thursday. stake a look at jake, the pointer mix here, he ran ahead of its owner on a trail. somehow ended up getting with a stick lodged in his chest. vets say jake's story isn't that unusual. this does happen to dogs. apparently jake is one of the lucky ones because that stick missed all of his vital organs. wow, he is expected to make a full recovery within the next few weeks. blair miller: as we sit down on thursday to enjoy our holiday meals, it will be extra special for some people. coming up this morning, how salvation army is stepping up to thanksgiving to remember. >> and sending love and packed and ready to go to make sure our men and women overseas have something to smile about. sarah wroblewski: overcast this tells fox 25 she posted a comment about politics, not race. but some people didn't say it that way. fox 25 stephanie coueignoux spoke with kailey and her school about the message that landed her in hot water. >> i see donald trump a lot on there and i don't see what's so different. all along with him. >> reporter: only 10 percent of revere votes for mayor the other 90 percent isn't legal. this was the tweet from kailey responding to a tweet from her teacher about the low voter turn out for mayoral's november race. kailey meant her tweet as a political comment not a racial comment. >> and didn't specify any specific race, no one individualized. >> reporter: but after students complained, the school stepped in. revere superintendent, dr. diane kelly says the district believes in freedom of speech but cannot support what she calls insensitive language. and say something that other people will find offensive or harmful, then you need to be prepared to deal with the the ramifications of that. >> reporter: kailey's mother who says is the high school's head cheerleader is now banned from cheering the rest of the season. >> because of other people's overreaction toward it, they felt she should be punished for that. i didn't find that fair at all. >> reporter: kelly said, they did not discipline kailey because of the tweet alone. but because of privacy, she couldn't comment on the specifics. >> i would just say that, not everything we read is the full story of what's happening. >> reporter: she decided to discipline her doctor because of the intense backlash. blair miller: now, the controversy surrounding kailey's tweet led to some big changes at revere high. they're creating a groom of teachers and students that will come up with curriculum on diversity and acceptance. >> now your forecast from sarah wroblewski and the fox 25 weather team. sarah wroblewski: hope your morning is getting off to a great start. temperatures are improving. still stuck in the 30s in some locations especially to the north and west of the city. otherwise upper 40s, lower 50s for the cape and islands. so many clouds there, though. despite the milden conditions and a few scattered showers too. very hit and miss this morning. i do want to warn you anticipating heavier rain across our southeastern areas. as temperatures will be above average today a little milder than yesterday too. upper 40s to mid 50s. and enjoy it because we've got colder weather on the way. current temperatures through the great lakes and midwest in the teens. 30s in pittsburgh and buffalo to the 50s in new york. you can see the big difference right here between these areas. and that's because of a cold front that is pushing eastward across our region for the day today. providing a lot of the clouds as well as the threat of these hit or miss showers through about lunch time. up i wouldn't be surprised to he sue a few breaks in the cloud cover to the north and west throughout the day. but as this front pushes off shore. there's going to be a storm system developing from our south. and it is going to overspread southeastern areas as we head into the afternoon. notice the timestamp here between 2 and 3 o'clock. rain redevelops, becoming heavy at time during the evening hours, as this storm system, yes, most of the moisture stays off shore, but the northwestern edge of precipitation backs into southern new england, how far back it goes we're going to track throughout the day by 8 o'clock seeing the best chances of rain across our southeastern areas. to the north and west, a little bit clearer and much colder air will pour on in. even on the back edge of precipitation, may be a brief period of light snow before this system wraps up and heads on out of here. 7 o'clock by the time you wake up tomorrow, it will be gone and we'll see the sunshine but it will be cold out there. and we'll see a good amount of rain in some spots. we're talking some areas picking up anywhere from three quarters of an inch to perhaps even an inch and a half. in the boston area, looking anywhere around a half an inch of rain. but notice the sharp cut off. really going to be determined up. it's going to be a big difference across the region. when you wake up tomorrow morning, it's going to be in the 20s and 30s. it's going to be a chilly one out there to start the day. and sure enough, the day is going to finish off pretty school too. despite seeing sunshine, it will, blustery out of the midwest, highs tomorrow struggling to get out of the 40s. which means cold for the pats game. cold and dry, kick off, falling back into the 20s as the game goes on. seven-day forecast weekend oughts in view showing cold weather continues into tuesday. try and bright, though for the middle part of the week, great for any travelling out there. temperatures close to normal by temperatures in the 50s, with lots of sunshine. keeping it mild for your black friday deals. and then on saturday, we bring back the risk of some rain and perhaps even a little bit of light snow overnight. there's the latest look at your forecast. heather hegedus: so with the more wintery weather in the forecast, a push to get people to shop this season is underway in boston. specifically shop small buildings. mayor marty walsh kicking off holidays on main street yesterday and this year shoppering will be able to enjoy live music from acoustic street performers. more good news, two free hours of parking for people who use the park boston app at meters. and this says we're just about a week out now from small business saturday, the national day at supporting locally owned shops around the holidays. and the salvation army is making sure no one goes without a thanksgiving dinner this year. volunteers handing out more than 2,000 baskets yesterday, with an even greater need for donations this year turkey costs are up due to the bird flue. great to see all of the volunteers. it's amazing. people in one neighborhood, sleepless night after put on imagine a world where the only thing you had to wrestle for on thanksgiving was the last piece of pumpkin pie. and the only place we camped out was in front of a fire and developing this morning, fox 25 is on the scene working to get more information about an overnight stand off that ended with a man dead. it happened on azalea street in norton. started with a noise complaint around 10:30 last night. police and swat team swarmed the house after the man began shooting at officers. it all came to an end at 3 in the morning, after a man was found dead in that house. it's not clear, if he shot himself or during gunfire with police. no word on the man's name. heather hegedus: 2-year-old in the hospital but her condition is improving. lyndon albers disappeared friday morning from her hamilton home. she was found hours later naked and her head shaved. police saline don's former baby sitter broke into the little girl's home and abducted her. took 21-year-old abigail hannah into custody yesterday morning from the empty r. of north shore until center. hannah being held now without bail. blair miller: looking out our windows, see clouds, they're going to stick around for a while. sarah wroblewski: yeah, a lot of clouds, hit or miss, but better chance of rain across the southeast as we head into the afternoon and evening. how wet that rain gets, could be as far west as worcester. but definitely into the boston area. be prepared for wet weather. getting cold tonight, even snow mixing on in. but dry out for the rest of the he can would. spectacular conditions as we head head towards the holiday, temperatures actually warm up after chilly conditions monday and tuesday. and thursday, thanksgiving, all of the football games, it might be cold in the
