Now your local forecast from meteorologist Sarah Wroblewski and the Storm Tracker weather team. Sarah wroblewski its sunday. Sure enough were talking about mild conditions once again for december. Is the snow . We have picked up nothing in boston for this month so far. And typically we pick up about nine inches of snow. In fact, for the year so far, this season, i should say, weve only picked up a trace in boston and worcester. Taking a look back over the last five years, the last time that we had a little amount in december of 2011, we picked up a trace, that was the year that snowfall was very low, one of the lowest for the city of boston. We picked up about 9. 3 inches of snow that entire season. Last year we picked up less than an inch of snow, you know what happened last year, we are record breaking totals. Well have to wait and see, but its hard to get snow had with temperatures in the 60s. No record yesterday, with the record being 69. It just wasnt record breaking for our area. Today the record in boston lower 60s but i dont think well get weather filtering on in. 40s and 50s across the region so it is mild. And youre thinking, this is where we were yesterday. Were going to climb once again. Not so much. Weve got the clouds in place and those clouds are going to continue to limit the potential of temperatures riding as well as the fact that the clouds are in place because of a back door cold front coming through. What weve got going on with temperature trend, were actually going to see temperatures fall a few degrees through the evening hours. Sure a few breaks in the cloud cover, but overall, generally cloudy for the day today. Highs only in the upper 40s to low 50s, pretty much what you have right now is what youve got for the day today. Tonight, well hold onto the clouds, were going to bring in the risk of some fog as well as some drizzle as those winds continue on shore out of the east southeast. Temperatures fall back into the upper thirtsdz, as well as 40s. Hour by hour rain fall, tomorrow picking up too much precipitation, even through the day on monday, we could see a shower or two, again, looking at very little amounts picking up. But then late monday into tuesday morning, we really ramp things up as that cold front out in the west right now comes through bringing steady rain perhaps even a rumble of thunder too. Theres that back door cold front ways talking about. Cooler weather, forts and 50s across our area but mild temperatures still to our south. We will see the this move north but monday morning, still trapped to the north of it. That means cooler weather across the region.
