arrests in the sherman park neighborhood. this, after a crowd gathered for a memorial for sylville smith last night. it happened near 44th and auer-- the same intersection where 23-year-old smith was fatally shot by a milwaukee police officer two weeks ago. police say they received several complaints from neighbors about a crowd of about 30 to 40 people. officers asked the group to leave peacefully. about 20 minutes later, the crowd was asked to leave again. police began making arrests when some refused to leave. they arrested 10 people for resisting an officer. adlib to weather a quiet, cooler day ahead with decreasing clouds and a high temperature in the low to middle 70s. mostly clear tonight with temperatures dropping into the low 50s inland, upper 50s lakeside. high pressure keeps the sunshine around the rest of the week and temperatures remain comfortable in the 70s. warmer and more muggy on labor day with the chance for rain and thunder. today: decreasing clouds. cooler and less humid. high: 74 dewpoint: 57 wind: n 5-10 dewpoint: 59 wind: ne 5-10 mph arrested a 25-year old man in connection with a triple shooting on milwaukee's vine, just before one yesterday afternoon. officials say 22-year-old anthony trice was shot and died from his injuries. a teenager was also taken to the hospital. this is the third murder in two days and the 90th in milwaukee so far this year. you know there's been a lot of killings lately. so it's just really sad. it's scary. everything is going haywire around here. a lot of people is just dying. police continue to investigate to try and figure out a motive . ...new information on an alleged sexual assault happening in a milwaukee park. police say it never happened and the victim made it up. a 12-year-old girl told milwaukee police she had been sexually assaulted in a park near 23rd and national. five men were arrested yesterday. but that girl has since told police her statement was not true. she was found dead in her cell four days after being booked in the milwaukee county jail. her family has questions about how she died. fox6's derica williams has the she died. fox6's derica williams has the story. we are going to miss her smile and going to going to miss her face .her grandkids won't see her now, it's sad this is the kristina fiebrink her brother- in- law robert jackson knew and loved. she was very caring and very loving but over the ea says she got caught up with drugs and her life changed dramatically. been in and out of trouble off and on for a long time and just couldn't seem to get away from it with an arrest history dating back nearly 15 years, the 38- year- old had several drug convictions. it was opiates heroin, cocaine and most recently arrested wednesday for resisting/obstructin g an officer when police tried to arrest her for a felony warrant. she spent four days in jail.. before being found unresponsive in her cell. now all of a sudden she goes to jail and passes away. with everything that is going on on with the truth will come out we will investigate and we are going to find out her death is being looked into , meanwhile jackson wants to steer people away from drugs and path of crime. a lot of people are getting addicted to opiates through july, the medical examiner has certified 161 drug overdose deaths. thats up about ten percent from 2015. they are using elephant tranquilizer heroin with fentanayl which is so much more potent people dont realize what they are getting into jackson wants others to learn from his loss. its time we start changing and being a good example fiebrink leaves behind siblings, children and grandchildren. there has been an account to help with funeral costs. it's been set up at educator's credit union. we've posted details on our website at fox6now.com. once again the investigation into her death continues... the medical examiner has conducted an autopsy but those reporting outside of the milwaukee county jail, derica williams fox6 news. a fox6 exclusive-- social media helps greenfield police solve a case. in may, police say 36-year old brian schwochert walked up to a man and punched him.the suspect allegedly hit the man over the head with a brick multiple times-- and kicked him with steel-toed boots. police shared images of the blood-stained bombshell evidence came from schwocherts facebook page.police say he posted that he smashed two bricks over the mans head and he deserved it. the incident may have been sparked by a feud over a woman. cd 'i wish that every offender - partially severed. and authorities are looking into whether sun glare was a factor in the accident. florida governor rick scott is declaring a state of emergency in 42 counties. this, in preparation residents along the coasts are getting ready for possible damage. fox's jackie ibanez, has more details. florida is battening down the hatches as tropical depression nine inches closer to shore. the low pressure system is now in the middle of the gulf of mexico... but is expected to turn towards florida at some point wednesday ... as it develops into a tropical storm. scott says: "we're going to have rain and we're going to have tornados we are going to have rip currents. we have to be careful." volunteers are filling sandbags in anticipation of the flooding to come. thomas says: "i think there's a lot of good people out there anyway. storms just bring them together." authorities are urging everyone to prepare their own homes for the storm ahead. forward says: "once 40 plus miles an hour winds sustained emergency response vehicles don't go out in that type of weather." after the storm hits the gulf coast of florida... it is expected to east coast of the state... where emergency management there is also getting prepared. stoughton says: "the potential of five to seven inches of rain. we could see flooding in some of our low lying areas in the city of saint augustine." the storm then could move north towards north carolina. the state already seeing strong waves and currents with another storm --- tropical depression eight... just off the coastline. mos says: "with the storm that's approaching we are keeping a close watch on people out here on the beach because there's going to be higher threat of rip currents." barreling toward the islands. residents on hawaii's big island are stocking up on food and water as hurricane madeline approaches. forecasters expect the center of madeline to pass dangerously close to the big island today. the storm has lost strength story at 11-30... the milwaukee county medical examiner's office is investigating a possible co-sleeping death. it happened this morning just before six o-clock near 40th and locust. we're told a initiative" is a youth empowerment organization that works to bring resources to young people, so that they can become more productive. the visit will feature a tablet giveaway, as well as, old man in northwest side. police were called near 27th and vine a little before one yesterday afternoon. officials say 22-year-old anthony trice was shot and died from his injuries. a teenager was clean, after one woman's death inside a jail cell. 38-year-old kristina fee-brink fiebrink was in custody for resisting an officer after police tried to arrest her on a felony warrant. she spent four days in jail before she was say she was addicted to drugs-- and they want others to learn from her situation. they are using elephant tranquilizers to try and cut the heroin now fentanyl which is so currently on non-disclosure. ended with felony charges. police say a suspect beat a man with a brick - but they didn't have to look far for an alleged confession. fox 6's bret lemoine has this exclusive report: greenfield police sergeant chris deglopper da-glopper says a fight between two men was investigated at a home near this intersection in may. a woman called police... cd 'reporting that there was a fight involving her boyfriend and a friend.' schwochert walked up to the other man with closed fists... shouting: 'i came here for you, .'schwochert allegedly punched the victim... knocking him to the ground. cd 'he had been hit by something extremely hard - he thought it was a rock - multiple times.' the man was allegedly hit with this brick. the impact was so significant, the victim required six stitches. investigators say schwochert was gone by the time police arrived on scene... but a tip lead them to schwocherts facebook page... never seen someone provide such a confession on social media.' schwochert makes reference to kicking the victim with his blood-stained steel- toed boots. ' i also smashed 2 bricks, yes, concrete bricks over his head. he ran crying and screaming for police,' he allegedly wrote. 'why would i post this?' he continues...
