About 800,000 federal workers deemed nonessential will be told not to show up for work tomorrow. All National Parks and monuments will be closed. If you need to get your passport renewed, do it today. Many passport offices will be closed. Many in the military, including the more than 1. 3 million on active duty are considered essential and will remain on the job. They likely wont get paychecks until an agreement is reached. The department of Homeland Security will furlough about 14 of employees. Its not a complete shutdown. The Social Security administration will continue the write checks to requitirees. The checks will get to you normally. So will your bills. Medicare and medicaid ben fish qulars be covered. The department of health and Human Services will furlough almost half of their employees. Members of congress and the president and Vice President get paid during shutdowns. All of this at a hefty price tag to takes payers. The white house estimates the overall cost of the shutdown will be at least 2 billion. The senate took the day off yesterday. Hay dont come back to work until 2 00 this afternoon, leaving just ten hours to find a solution before the government partially shuts down. When they come down, all signs are that the senate will pass back to the house a government funding resolution without any of the addon that the house had. What happens next . Reporter there is one path out of this. That will go back to the house. The house would have to axwrgreo what the senate has said. They would be willing to fund the government partially. Nothing about obama care. That would require the speaker of the house to go against many of the conservatives in his party and say, enough is enough. Right now, no indication hell do that. What happened today in the west Nickel Mines Amish School in rourl lancaster county, pennsylvania, has horrified the country. The placebo effect refers to the fact that when youre given a sham treatment, or just salt water instead of a medication even with this . The mind. The mind. I tell my patients, when youre trying to conceive, you want to relax, do it the oldfashioned way, and try not to make it a science project until you absolutely need to. How closely does this tell you when row should go for it . To the day, to the hour . I like that phrase better. I dont think you have to run out of work. It pinpoints to it a period of several hours to days. And you know what . The bottom line is you want to try to relax. If youre able to get pregnant, your sex will probably not be the same again. We had a boot camp at the beginning of every season. We would meet with the real vets. Nurses, the doughnut dollies. We were in shock and overwhelmed. Thanks for getting the jump start with the pink. Looking good. I decided to get ahead of the game. A mammogram is scary for a lot of people. They say they dont have time or its going to hurt. Theyre afraid. Think of the painful things we do every day in the name of beauty. A mammogram . Nothing. Boobs. Breasts. The girls. We all have them. But do we take good care of them . When it comes to breast cancer, early detention saves lives. No one knows this better than jeralyn, an 18year survivor. What they do every day hurts so much more than a mammogram. Reporter today, were on a mission. To subject ourselves to four of the most painful things we do for beauty. Well use a pain scale from 1 to 10. What is the most pained things you have ever done . I think a bikina wax. Braces. I got this pierced right here. 9. I guess you could say were ma masochists to look pretty. Reporter what better way to prove it . Botox. 6 out of 10. Reporter now im off to get my lip waxed and my eyebrows threaded. How much can it hurt . People feel more feign when they have very light skin and light hair. Theyre more sensitive. Ow. It feels like needles. Ouch. [ bleep ] now, a quick lip wax. I cant believe we do this for vutty. That is makeup, not a mustache. Waxing and threading . 7 out of 10. Next up, high heels. How baddy li do we beat up our feet . We hit a fabulous shoe store to the stars. Look at this shoe. Sit working . Im trying really hard. I have lost feeling in my foot. They take a toll.
