Today in new yorks Lori Bordonaro does some digging into his past. Reporter we learned that 24yearold joshua colon is now facing murder charges in a carjacking. He was led out of the station house at the 72nd precinct a few hours ago. Reporters about the incident. Police tracked down colon at a nearby residence where he was allegedly hiding out. Hes accused of hijacking philip dellegrazie and running over him and killing him. It all started out where dellegrazie left his flatbed idling. Police say colon jumped in and took off but dellegrazie caught up with him at a light and tried to push him out. He was run over by his own truck. Police say he panicked, went the wrong way down the street and hit a lexus and ran off. Police describe dellegrazie as a hard working family man who came here from italy. Joshua colon is facing charges of murder and grand larceny as well. Also new this morning, cruise are searching for as many as two people wanted for another this happened after 1 00 a. M. In the southbound 2 train in the woodstock section of the bronx. Were told a man on that train had his face slashed and his backpack stolen. Two trains going southbound passing the jackson avenue and westchester station avenue since the attack. The platform has just reopened. A jetblue Flight Attendant accused of smuggling drugs is due in court. It will be the first appearance for marsha j. Reynolds in a los angeles courtroom. Weve learned he has 30 prior arrests mostly for grand larceny and drug offenses. Colon was let out 22nd station house a little earlier but didnt say anything. Police arrested him last night at a nearby residence where he was allegedly hiding out. Police say colon carjacked but ran over 63yearold philip dellegrazie. Dellegrazies flatbed truck was running outside of his iron business. Dellegrazie tried to force him out at a red light. Dellegrazie fell into the street, the car jacker ran him over killing him. Police say colon sped off hit a lexus and ran away. Last night, the victims family who upset to talk. Friends shocked over the sudden death described dellegrazie as a hard working family man who came they tracked down colon through video surveillance. Expected to be in court here later on today. Back to you. Two young teenagers may face charges after a loaded gun was found in the school on the upper side of manhattan. It happened on ps 169 on 86th street. Investigators say a 13yearold boy threatened a girl in the school with a fully loaded 22 cal bar revolver. The gun discovered stuffed inside the teens shirt. Its the fourth handgun discovered inside of new York City Schools in the last three weeks. Union who represents the new york safety officers is sounding the alarm.
