I checked in with police, they say tourists from california who called this in are being questioned by detectives after being offered sex with an 11yearold boy. This led to a massive search in central park a few hours ago. The Aviation Unit was overhead as well as extra lights brought in not only to search for that 11yearold boy but the man thought to be about 35 years old who was soliciting him. Both of them were near the bow bridge in central park just before 11 00 last night. Thats when that suspect approached a man in his 50s. According to police, that suspect asked the man if he wanted to perform sexual acts with the 11yearold boy for 300. That man declined, once the two left he called police and he wasnt able to see where they left the park. Police are telling us that the man who solicited sex with that young boy was wearing a black coat with fur on the hood as well as blue not much of a description of the 11yearold boy, just wearing a spring jacket, either red or orange. Investigators say engine problems caused a plane that took off from Newark Airport to make an emergency landing. United Airlines Flight 38 was headed to nebraska when the pilot was forced to land in cleveland around 5 30 yesterday evening. Heres a look at the plane after it landed. Investigators say about an hour into the flight the engine made a noise, the plane dipped to the left. The pilot declared an emergency and steered that plane to the nearest airport. About three of them had to be medically evaluated as a precaution. It is believed theyre not in danger. The investigation goes on into who sent the envelope. Meanwhile, in los angeles, as we mentioned a violent scene with antitrump protesters as trump more in california ahead of its june primary. There were rallies earlier in the day, supporters and opponents of trump. But the protests grew more and more violent as the night went on. Reporter thousands of new yorkers names appear on this isis hit list as it is called. The fbi is working to reach out to all of them letting them know theyve been named and threatened on this forum. There are up to 3,000 names that were hearing, many from manhattan, brooklyn, queens, writers, retirees, everybody in between. The fbi is telling these people to take reasonable precautions but reassures them theres no plot in the works. Recently isis hackers have used the internet to start plots, naming military personal, even calling for attacks in texas and boston. Theyre not really infrastructures but its a scare tactic more than anything else. We spoke with a couple of people that were named. Most of them say aside from very simple daytoday precautions they plan on going about their normal lives. The fbi issued a statement saying steps are being taken to inform all of these potential victims so that they can help ensure their safety. One source told us they think some of these names may have been compiled from university and alumni related websites. New this morning, were learning the identity of the man shot by police after he threatened to blow up a baltimore tv station. Family members have identified this man as 25yearold alex brizzi. He dressed in a hedgehog onesie and what appeared to be a bomb vest, set his car on fire before he strolled into a fox once he was inside he demanded to go on tv to expose what he called a government conspiracy. As employees were evacuated the man walked out of the building. When he ignored Police Orders to stop, they opened fire. Its become all too common in america for us to gather like this, to examine the bizarre, dangerous behavior of a singular individual. Brizzi is in serious but stable condition. Police used a robot to remove his vest after he was shot. It turned out what they thought might have been a bomb was chocolate bars wrapped in foil. Police say he had a flash drive on him and its not clear what was on that. Investigators are now looking into whether prince died from a drug overdose. Investigators are trying to figure out if a doctor was prescribing him drugs in the weeks before his death. He said theyre also looking on whether a doctor was on the plane with prince when the aircraft was forced to land early due to a medical that happened less than a week before prince died. In westchester, a warning for people who mail checks in yonkers. Investigators are looking into five cases where thieves are swiping handwritten checks and then using chemicals to change the information so they can rewrite the checks and cash them. Charges after he posted video of himself. Police arrested 21yearold gabriel conestry jr. After finding these videos on his instagram account. He used the word reckless in his account. They show him speeding, doing dangerous tricks on his motorcycle from bridgeport to east haven. He is facing several charges including reckless endangerment. Today a new jersey man accused of sexually assaulting a woman as she slept is due in court. 35yearold Pedro Castillo valdez is charged with two counts of sexual assault. Police say the alleged crime took place in the victims lyndhurst home a week ago. Investigators say the victim woke up during the assault and the two did know each other. Now to a story getting a lot of attention, Humane Society international shedding light on the treatment of these dogs. The organization rescued more than 200 animals from a dog meat farm in south korea. This morning most of those dogs are being treated at st. Huberts Animal Welfare center in madison, new jersey. Investigators say engine problems caused a plane that took off from Newark Liberty airport to make an emergency landing. It was united Airlines Flight 38 headed to omaha, nebraska. The pilot declared an emergency and steered that plane to the nearest airport. Landed that plane safely. There were no physical injuries. In connecticut theres a fear that a mumps outbreak at Sacred Heart University is growing. They want people to know about this, to stop this type of solicitation from happening in the park all over again. They were tipped off by a tourist, a man from california who was visiting the city who was approached not only by that young boy, but the man who was well show you now pictures we have of the Massive Police response after all of this happened here in central park by the bow bridge at 72nd street. Authorities say that young boy, believed to be 11, was with a man believed to be 35 years old. They approached that tourist and asked if he wanted to perform sexual acts with the young boy for 300. That tourist declined but did try to follow the two of them. He lost sight of them and eventually called police. That led to the Aviation Unit being overhead at central park and extra lights being brought in. As you said, not much of a description now. That suspect nor the young boy. They believe the suspect is about 35 years old. Last seen wearing a black jacket with fur trim on the hood. They believe that young boy, again, 11 years old, not much a description of him. Some parents in connecticut are on edge after police say a an elementary school. Investigators say it happened near barnum school. The girl was on her way to class when the man approached her and tried to touch her. She got away but he followed her for some sometime. School officials are advising children not to walk alone. So far no arrests have been made. Happening today, jurors may hear a videotaped confession from the teen accused of setting the fire that killed an nypd officer. Yesterday we heard testimony from detective john mcdonald, he questioned Marcel Dockery back in 2014, the night of that building fire in coney island. He said dockery initially denied wrongdoing but then admitted to lighting the fire that killed officer Dennis Guerra because he was bored. The defense claims the confession was coerced. Mayor deblasio says the number of homeless on the streets in the city is down. He went around the city back in february for the annual count. Now his office estimates theres about 2,800 Homeless People. Thats 12 less than last year. Outreach programs but one Advocacy Group says the count is flawed. Today mayor deblasio is denying any wrongdoing in the investigation into possible Campaign Fundraising violations. Mayor deblasio says neither he nor his advisers have done anything wrong. His Office Confirms top aides have gotten subpoenas from federal and local investigators. It led to a massive investigation near the bow bridge near 72nd street last night. Thats when a suspect allegedly approached a tourist from if he wanted to perform sexual acts with that young boy for 300. That man declined, followed the two but lost track of them.
