New details about the 12 young girls rescued from the home in bucks county. Up investigators are back on the scene today scouring for clues, and were also learning more about why officials could not get inside that house until now. Saturday night im walter perez. The big story on action newses the latest on the investigation in the case of 12 young girls rescued from the home of the man in bucks county. Today police scoured that property even bringing cadaver dogs into see if any remains were buried there. Action News Reporter jeff chirico is live at the scene. Jeff to day investigators revealed more about how those girls lived. Reporter yeah, Walter Police have had this road closed for most of the day to day. There are still many questions, to be answered about what actually happened inside of this house, over the past several years. And today police admitted concerned neighbors had called them to this home before. Chopper six was over the home on old street road as investigators returned to look for evidence. Contact day dogs went through the property, Police Seized vehicles and detectives combed through every room in the house. It is where police say 51 yearold lee kaplan lived with 12 girls ranging from six months to 18 years. They were, living down in the basement, they were hiding in the chicken coupe. Reporter lower southampton direction or of Public Safety say investigators found musical instruments, elaborate train set in the basement. Kid were living down in the basement on air mattresses but they i guess they were home schooling kids because there was homework found down there. Reporter children are in the care of bucks county children and youth and police say they have been unable to determine if the girls are sisters. They have not had an opportunity to talk with the children, you know, in detail just yet and im sure when they do they will find some clues, you know, we want to address were they abused, or not. Reporter Police Arrested kaplan thursday and charged with statutory sexual assault. They say he fathered two children to the girl gifted to him at 14. Her parents daniel and Seville Stoltzfus have been arrested. Police made the discovery after neighbors call the hot line on wednesday. Other neighbors said they reported strange behavior at the home for years and wondered what took police for so long. What kind of call did they call . They saw amish people. We didnt get child abuse calls there. So fit was child abuse call we would have responded. Reporter when police did respond to previous calls, kaplan would turn off the lights and then turn them away. It is unclear though, how many calls, police got about strange behavior in this house, and how many times Police Actually knocked on this door. We are told that those cadaver dogs did not find anything in the the backyard. Now, stoltzfus and kaplan are all locked up, and they are behind bars, on one milliondollar bail, each. A six twoyear old woman was found beaten to death inside of her home in Chester County and the killer remains on the the loose. Authorities say that the victim was discovered inside the house on the 900 block of heatherstone drive at 8 30 yesterday morning. Investigators say that the woman is a widow whose husband passed away just a few months ago. Action cam also on the scene as police in wilmington investigate a murder there just after 3 00, a 29 yearold man was shot along 900 block of north pine street. The victim was taken to Christiana Medical Center but he died a short time later. Police are still looking for the gunman and a possible motive. Family members gathered in boothwyn, Delaware County tonight for an annual vigil to remember those who died of drug overdoses. That included parents testimonials, prayers and music a begins a backdrop of photos of those who lost their battle of drug addiction.
