Yesterday we just had showers in the afternoon and evening hours. You can look at double scan and see a good soaking. Were also seeing what we didnt see yesterday, some areas of yellow. I told you we would see heavier rain. Starting to see that as well. That means the rain is little steadier picking up a bit in its intensity in some spots. Its going to stay that way especially the first half of the day. Lets look at the visibility reports. This was the big problem yesterday with travel. Wasnt so much the rain but the visibility with the fog out there. So we have 3mile visibility at this hour at Philadelphia International airport, still an issue. 1. 3mile visibility in trenton, only. 3 mount pocono, 2 miles in reading,. 8 in Atlantic City, so even flying out of Atlantic City this morning thats an issue with those low clouds. Temperatures no issue there. 40 degrees even in the poconos at this hour. Is this this late in december . 48 degrees in philadelphia, 49 degrees in millville. Sat six and action radar showing the rain that has moved in on schedule and it is going to rain much of the day. So, rain at times heavy, fog, very mild, though, at least thats some good news out of this. 63 degrees for your high. Thats chasing a record, matt pelman. Well, we like that part of it. The other part maybe not as much. Wet roadways are what were watching this morning, karen. As we look live at the schuylkill expressway, luckily were not watching overnight construction, not only because of the holiday but because of the conditions. Eastbound headed towards passyunk no problems aside from all the puddles little lakes in the roadway so you have to watch your speeds because hydroplaning is a possibility as you travel this morning. Luck no issues either on the vine street expressway or 95, no overnight construction to worry about there. Roosevelt boulevard looks fine so far this morning. Lets go for a ride on the westbound pennsylvania turnpike. Again, same situation, no overnight road work as you pass willow grove heading for Fort Washington and Plymouth Meeting all lanes are opened with speeds in the 60. As we look live o at the ben franklin bridge, a little tough to make him out this morning. You see some westbound headlights getting through the fog and the wet conditions but its not going to be the easiest morning ride. Tam and erin. No, not at all. In fact, erin you and i kind of live in the same part of the city. A lot of fog for us coming in. Not exactly festive. No, it was. No the rain could mean headaches for travelers as theyre trying to get in and out of philadelphia for the holiday.
